    Steamed Dumplings In Chili Sauce.
    Evan W.

K-Pub came up on a search for late lunch in NoHo, and the menu looked promising, so I swung by at about 3pm on a Wednesday. I was the only customer (though 2 more joined before I finished), and was given the opportunity to sit wherever I wanted. The dark wooden interior with assorted lanterns and decor work to transport you to Asia, and the friendly service quickly puts you at ease. As this was lunch, and I had a meeting after, I didn't opt for any liquor, but they have a nicely curated menu of Sake, Sochu and Beers at the usual prices. They offer a menu of lunch specials, also at very reasonable prices, but I wanted to try some other things, so I went rogue into the regular list of dishes. The one disappointment: skewers aren't available until after 5pm, and I would have liked to have tried several of those. That said, I ordered the Steamed Dumplings in Chili Oil, and the Boneless Korean Fried Chicken dressed with Soy & Garlic. The dumplings are very prettily plated, with thin slivers of scallion and cilantro, and the filling was subtly (and pleasantly) favored -- however, the sauce wasn't 100% to my liking. There was an overriding taste of tomato that seemed out of place, and tended to offset the Asian seasoning too much. The chef said there was no specific tomato in the sauce, but then opined "maybe it's the ketchup in the gochujang." It's not that it was terrible, but it just threw the flavor off, making this version of the dish less enjoyable than at other places around town. The Korean Fried Chicken was crispy, juicy, and piping hot, with a nicely seasoned coating. The portion was very generous (I brought half home), and the plating was, again, quite pretty. But once again, to me, the sauce came up short. It was a tad too sweet and much thicker than usual, once again overpowering the rest of the dish. I think the chef (no offense intended) may need a little mentoring in balance. Regardless of these few complaints, I found the food to be inherently fresh, carefully made, beautifully presented, and thoughtful, even if I didn't always agree with what they were thinking. I'm still intrigued by the interestingly described skewers, and plan to return to give those a try later -- and at a later time of day, so I can enjoy some sake and beer on the side. Go ahead, stop in -- the friendly people deserve your attention, and you'll surely enjoy the transportive environment.

Had so many different variations of Korean food from appetizers to entree. We ordered the classics: army stew and bossam. Both were served on a portable gas stove to keep warm. Bossam was really tender and came with a lot of vegetable sides to pair with. The army stew came with generous amount of meat / stew. (But cheese is extra charge - could honestly have done it without) Servers were really nice and respectful and the place feels cozy with the wooden aesthetic they had as dividers.

Inside seems more of a bar setting and a little dark, we came during lunch. I had a hard time seeing the menu but since my daughter was on a mission to eat tteobokki where ever she can, we knew this place had it. They didn't have an option for the less spicy version, which is fine. She still ate it but drank a sip of water with every bite. The service was fine. The portion and pricing doesn't seem to fit but at least we tried a new place. Like I said seems more of a bar than lunch.

Love the vibe here! Kpop music videos playing the background and the wooden seating and setup are a mix of modern and traditional. I wish more rice cake came in the dukbokki but it was still really good! It comes with ramen noodles and the sauce was great so we ordered another round of ramen noodles to add to the sauce. All the skewers were amazing. My favorites were the pork belly and gizzards. Everyone got corn cheese twice. The food overall was great and they offer a variety of alcohol. The food here is great for sharing and drinking with friends. Parking is really easy to find in the neighborhood. I hope they come out with more korean dishes as they aren't many korean food places around the area. We will definitely be back!

Went to K-Pub tonight and all the food was very delicious! We got the steamed shrimp shumai, seafood pancake, tteokbokki, short rib yakatori, and chicken thigh yakatori. The portions were very large! All of this food for two people was way too much honestly, if we came with two more it would've been perfect. I took off two stars because 1. The short rib yakatori was very salty. Flavorful, but salty. Also we had to wait an extremely long time for our chicken thigh yakatori skewers. The chicken also needed the salt that the short rib had. Overall everything tasted very fresh, and I'll be happy to give K-pub another shot in the future.

Located in noho arts district area, plenty of street parking that is metered. Stopped by on a Friday evening and I sat at the bar section. Wooden interior is lively and decorated with neon lights, high ceilings, tables for big groups too. Cute set up inside overall. Cons: one napkin initially served on a plate and the small aluminum cup of water. Please give access to napkins especially when eating your wings, they can be messy. I had to ask waiter for more. Also, only one waiter on the floor so it takes time to get your food out to your table. Unfortunately for me, I was not impressed with the taste of the food that I ordered. It tasted just "ok" but not to the point where I left amazed or full. I ordered their Cajun French fries but they were very mildly seasoned and some of the fries were greasy. 2/5 I also ordered 8 piece wings with bone in. Their wings are thick but because of the bone--and meat lacks, plus it was dry not moist inside. The outer portion of the wings-that tasted good the sauce I ordered was "sweet and spicy" felt like the breading was thick and like I said, each bite barely had meat in it. 2/5 I didn't finish both dishes and paid $26 out the door and still a tad bit hungry. I spent more time waiting for my order to come out than eating it. As I left, I wasn't acknowledged. Alcohol license still pending....That's all for now.

This place was so cute! It reminds me of the one in Korea town so it's nice theres one in the valley. Delicious fried chicken very kind and attentive staff the young man who helped us was very nice. The owners husband I believe came over and gave us kimchi, I think he read my mind but overall the food was great beer was great and I'm happy we have a little Korean pub in the valley. Can't wait to come back and try the yakitori which is why we went but they start serving that at 5 pm so that's just a little side note.

I love how the restaurant transformed the space into a "Pocha". Great ambiance. You can either order from the QR code on the table, or with the server. If you have a sensitive tongue, this is probably not the restaurant for you as many of the dishes are spicy! I do have to say that they had a touch too much garlic. The Chili Garlic Chicken was great - it had a touch of sweetness from the gochujang which made it almost sweet and hot. The Army Stew Hot Pot was very large and filling, but the taste was only okay. I am a little disappointed as it lists sausage and pork belly, but those were not there. Instead, there were cut pieces of what tasted and looked like hot dog. $30 was quite overpriced for this dish. I'm willing to return to try some other dishes when they have their liquor license and can serve soju cocktails.

Still new so there was a little bit of a rush where they got backed up on a Friday night with fried chicken. They don't have alcohol for sale yet. We got the army stew, fried chicken wings and seaweed salad. Army stew was pretty filling and great for sharing. Wings are the Korean fried chicken variety so they're twice fried making extra crispy. Hopefully they will get more people to help with the cooking and staffing the front!

Considering its not Ktown, it's a decent pub food spot for Noho. Fried chicken original was good. Cold noodle kimchi was nice as well. The soju and beers were a nice kick for a hot spring night. The army stew was also decent. Service was good and friendly.

Food was delicious and fresh! We went early afternoon so we got seated right away. Staff were super friendly and very attentive.

My family and I had lunch at K-Pub for the first time and everything we had were delicious; shishito pepper, seaweed radish salad, kimchi fried rice, sweet and spicy fried boneless chicken and minced pork rice bowl. We were also offered a side of kimchi and picked radish at no extra charge! Our server was friendly, as well as the man and woman in the kitchen area. Everything on their menu is reasonably priced. It wasn't busy when we went and we were able to find street parking without any issue. We will definitely be back to try the other food items on the menu.

Best new restaurant in North Hollywood by far! My sister and I tried a variety of their appetizers, including the dynamite scallop plate, dumplings in chili oil, the kimchi pancake, the cucumber salad (which was fresh as hell and so refreshing), and my favorite was the crunchy rice with spicy tuna. DELICIOUS. To be honest, I ate everything without even thinking to take a picture. I did take a picture, however, of the artwork on the walls. The owner told me that his daughter hand painted the murals towards the back of the restaurant and I couldn't help but compliment on how beautiful her paintings were.

The standout was the Spicy Shrimp Wontons, which featured delicate, silky, the shrimp filling was perfectly seasoned, and the spicy chili sauce had just the right balance of heat, umami, and a subtle hint of sweetness, making each bite addictive. They were so good that I immediately ordered another serving to go. Honestly, I preferred these over Din Tai Fung's. The OG Ramen was deeply comforting and satisfying, with a rich, flavorful broth and perfectly cooked noodles that held up well from start to finish. We also tried the takoyaki, which had a lightly crisp exterior, a soft, creamy center, and plenty of savory flavor, finished with classic toppings like bonito flakes, mayonnaise, and takoyaki sauce, tying all flavors together. The service was warm and attentive, making the entire experience. Seated in a rather interesting part of North Hollywood, the summer heat did not deter us from eating here, as the smell immediately brought my worries elsewhere. A vast majority of the food here was fantastic, and the only reason I was going to opt for 4 stars was the takoyaki had quite a tiny portion in the actual dough ball- despite the actual breading so soft and fluffy, it was like the most delightfully extravagant packaging for something that was a bit of a let down. Though, much to the credit of our waiter she understood and offered to swap it out for another appetizer, which probably deserves the vast majority of the praise here. The vegetarian dumplings we ordered were legitmately some of the best dumplings I've had period. From the vegan mayo to the best gentle heat I've ever had the experience I've eating. Just hot enough for a brief moment with delightful heat throughout. The chicken skewers we had and the calamari were solid and with a perfectly paired Thai Iced Tea, I only hope to visit again and drown in dumplings. Cheers!

We ordered the crunchy sushi roll, the spicy Totonsku and edamame . The food was delicious!!! We never been here before and didn't know what to expect . Edamame was warm and snappy . Crunch roll was on the bigger side, exactly what you expect of shrimp tempura and imitation crab . Lastly the soup , very very spicy . We asked the waitress for about 6-7 of spicy and I think we got like 9. I am not complaining I though, I think we needed the heat . We had to eat the soup with the edamame simultaneously: it was that hot . If you like spicy order the spicy tontonsku, and also order a Pinot Grigio to go with it. Best combination ever , the brightness of the wine would cool down my palate as a gulped the fire water from the soup . If you don't like spicy , make sure you tell them you want it less spicy . Overall : I'm intrigued and want to go back . I did not give it 5 starts because it was very quiet , there was no music ; we can hear the food being made in the kitchen. Which to me it's not a problem, but having some nice melodic tunes wouldn't hurt the ambience neither. Come to Tamashii House if you dare !

We ordered the: Handmade Fried Pork Gyoza Crispy Chicken Karaage Curry Bowl The Shoyu Ramen Cut California Roll My oldest kid really loved the sushi, while my youngest did not. my friend thought the Curry bowl was amazing, and my oldest son picked at his shoyu ramen. I had a feeling he didn't like it but he said it was too hot. I loved the pork gyoza but wasn't really a fan of the chicken karaage. The few pieces I had felt like it was the fried fat pieces of the chicken but maybe I got some bad pieces. So it was pretty much a mix of opinions. This is my review, so I'll go as far as to say, I would order the pork gyoza again but I wouldn't order the chicken karaage. However, I do want to try the Cajun Mazemen if we come again, but it wouldn't be any time soon. Overall, this place is solid and I think if you love ramen, give it a shot. The no. 10 ramen (that has no broth) is my favorite. The ramen with broth is on the thicker side, and every type is good. They kinda all taste very similar to be honest. But even for people that eat meat, all the flavor is still present in the broth and ingredients. The atmosphere is also very nice and dark, with a decent amount of seats and nice background music playing, no annoying top 40 stuff. Always some nice electronic music that isn't too energetic or too sleepy. Sometimes there can be loud people but that really can't be helped in todays culture unfortunately, especially LA. I do wish they had more caffeine free drink options. Maybe some liquid death sodas, la crouix, or lemonade options would go well with the ramen or rolls! **The only other thing to keep in mind is that they tend to stop serving within a half hour of closing and sometimes they close early, might be best to order ahead or call if you intend on coming by around closing time, I was very disappointed two times because of this. ** Also, there is a shared lot and usually open spots on the street too. I recommend parking on the street as the parking lot can be a bit chaotic.

Both entrees were cooked really well and were hot & tasty. My only complaint was that the beef was a bit overcooked and hard to chew. A lot of to-go orders and delivery/pick up by 3rd parties. Place was SPOTLESS CLEAN, including their gender neutral restroom. They also had nice decor all around. I really enjoyed my lunch and the portions being HUGE, took the rest home for my son to eat. Parking shared with 100 businesses:-) Thank you Alex & Noodle Monster!

This place is so cute! Definitely one of the hidden gems in a Valley strip mall. It's a total vibe…read more Art all over the walls, oldies bumping. Loved the atmosphere. Their Thai iced coffee is SO GOOD. It's pretty sweet, but had lots of strong coffee to offset the sweetness a bit. The gyoza and the shrimp rolls were amazing! Also loved the sauces they were served with. For my main I got the Pad woon sen and I felt like it lacked flavor. The chicken was also pretty dry and there wasn't much of it on the plate. Their menu is so big I would definitely come back and give it another try! Food was ready super fast. Great for take out or dine in!
