Wrapped up Valentine's Day weekend at Burosu Ramen! We arrived at 12noon with just a couple other people waiting to be seated. We had a reservation but realized we didn't need it at that time. We were able to choose our table -- nice corner booth in front. Service started quickly. Given it was our first time here, we had to try the Howaito (Tonkotsu). The husband chose to have his spicy. We added the Make Me Special Roll to share. Our order came out quickly. It was all incredibly fresh! The ramen was AH-mazingly delicious. The broth was light, flavorful and satisfying. The roll was meticulously prepared and so good! Our server was very sweet and attentive. There's so much more to try from the menu. We look forward to coming back (very soon)! Came here for dinner on Friday night and parked easily on the street. I made a reservation and maybe didn't need one but the restaurant is fairly small so I'm still glad I did. The sake we ordered (Dassai 45 - $28) was OUTSTANDING. The Howaito ramen and spicy tuna crispy rice were great and tasted classic. The lets gold roll was delicious and the truffle sauce that came with it was so good. The good vibes roll had too much lemon/yuzu flavor for me but was still nice. Ordered a spicy vegan broth ramen for takeout for $24 overall (tax and tip included) and it was pretty disappointing. The noodles were hard and not that good and the broth was a little oily. It wasn't bad but overall lacking flavor and wasn't worth the price. Tbh, I could have used a cup more broth. The egg was the best part. Overall, I will not be ordering takeout again. But the reviews are good (which is why I went) and the indoor ambiance is small but cute so maybe it's good for the meat based broths and dining in. read more

This review is for take out. We ordered at the end of the day, so not sure if that affected the quality ? Unfortunately I did not love my food. First off, my husband and I both ordered ramen and our takeout containers had noticeably different amounts of broth. He got a spicy ramen and I got a pork tonkotsu. The pork in my order was bone dry, not at all tasty. The noodles were also kind of hard. The broth wasn't terrible, but it didn't have that umami packed flavor I am used to with tonkotsu broth. I loved this little spot - it feels comfy and family run, and the food packs some serious flavor. We came in because we saw this in our inKind app and felt like some ramen. We were really impressed! First off, when you walk in, it feels a little like a Parisian cafe, with cozy tables arranged right next to each other, super cute decor, and a pretty awning out front. My wife had the tonkatsu ramen and I the curry ramen. Both were amazing, though after trying both, I would give the edge to the tonkatsu. We also had some gyozas, which came with a yummy sauce. I was led to Burosu Ramen by Yelp and had to give it a try. Here's what we ordered... Chicken Karaage: pretty good Howaito ramen (tonkotsu): Good. Broth is on the lighter side compared to more well known ramen shops, but it was good. I was disappointed with the bland flavor of the chashu pork slices. Yuzu ramen: Good. Lighter flavor than other ramen shops and definitely less heat. I would order it again. Service was quick and friendly. The restaurant was empty when I was there, so it was really quiet. The reviews and a craving for ramen made us drive nearly an hour, round trip. For us, this visit was just fine. I honestly wasn't a huge fan of the Ramen, which was just okay. I might have chosen the wrong one as the people at the next table seemed to love theirs, but for me, it was pretty bland and basic. The flavor of the broth was more like a chicken bouillon than a bone broth. Noodles were a bit too al dente. Sushi/sashimi was a better option, and we liked the spicy tuna crispy rice. We made a reservation through Resy, which I highly recommend, as the restaurant is an intimate space with approximately 20 seats indoors and additional seating outside. The happy hour menu offers excellent value, and each dish we ordered was thoughtfully prepared. The ramen noodles closely resemble those served in Japan, with a pleasantly firm texture and authentic bite. The broth is lighter than traditional Japanese styles, yet remains well-balanced and flavorful without feeling heavy. The sashimi and sushi rolls were notably fresh and beautifully presented. Dessert was equally impressive -- adding boba to the soft serve is a must, as the pearls remain soft and chewy even when mixed into the ice cream. Stopped by here after picking up a drink next door at ROK to grab some ramen. The server told us that no drinks are aloud inside so I asked if we could sit outside. She said no drinks outside either. So after looking at each other awkwardly we just left. I'm sure the reason is because they want you to buy drinks from them which we would have. Was looking for a Ramen spot over the weekend and came across Burosu, so happy I found it. Such a cute little spot right on Ventura Blvd. It is small, but decorated very cute and it is a cozy Ramen spot with also a Boba shop connected. We got there a little before 6 and had to put in our name for a table of 6, they said the wait might be about an hour, but ended up being only about 30 minutes, that was great! While we were waiting, we noticed they have a daily happy hour from 3-7 (except Tuesday's) they have drink specials and other food special, but what caught our eye was $5 off all Ramen during happy hour. That is a great Happy hour and I recommend you check them out, happy hour or otherwise. There are maybe 25-30 seats inside and when not raining looks like they may have some outdoor seating. We got a number of Ramen dishes a couple dry "Mazemen style" and a couple traditional, as well as a couple rice based dishes with unagi, shrimp tempura and a sweet violet drink. Everything was excellent, although I would not recommend the shrimp tempura over rice, my father-in-law got it and it was very basic, but it did come with miso soup, but needed a bit more to it in my opinion. Other than that, the Ramen was excellent the Mazemen style was also excellent and the unagi was super tasty, yum! Ended up saving about $20 since we were there during happy hour, bonus! Street parking here can be challenging, but there is an underground lot, I believe valet only as well as a parking lot in the rear, but check the parking restrictions. Walked in and felt more like a boba shop until they seated us and handed us the menus. A good selection of sushi, happy hour items, ramen, bowls, etc. Matcha soft serve was 8.9/10. Not too sweet but a little tad icey but generous and delicious. Ramen: 8.4/10 egg was a bit too cooked. Good clean chicken broth with a good chewy noodles to compliment it. Chicken breast was slightly dry but everything was well executed. Salmon bowl: 8.5/10 reminds me of what I had as a kid when I mixed up my own bowls. Exploring new Ramen places and ran across this restaurant. Even it doesn't seem like authentic Ramen shop but reviews are great so I have decided to try it out. I found the street parking nearby luckily when I arrived. I walked up to the restaurant and saw the sign for happy hour which takes $5 off of any Ramen bowels. Also has additional happy hour menu. They have nice outdoor seating and also have good decor of interior. Seems to be owner or manager was taking care of customers and very attentive. Ordered spicy Tonkotsu with minced meat and non spicy version with regular meat. Spicy Tonkotsu comes with some veggies and the meat tasted like they cooked it with tomato which reminds of some Thai dishes, since they are Thai they might have put some twist in it. The Ramen texture was good though. Regular Tonkotsu ramen was ok but as I was expected it cannot beat some good ramen from little Tokyo. I give this place 5 stars because of their happy hour price. Came here for dinner since they were on inKind. I was blown away by how fresh their sushi was and how delicious the Ramen was. Honestly, my favorite item was their varieties on crispy rice! They have an outdoor area which is located at one of the more seasoned plazas in Studio city. Plenty of cute places to walk to after. This small restaurant went above and beyond to help us celebrate a friends birthday. Our party took over the majority of inside seating. Outside tables were still available. They have a walk up to order counter as well for takeout, beverages and desserts. When I say above and beyond, I mean it. The table had a balloon on it from the business which read Happy Birthday and ended the night with a sizable and delicious dessert...yes, we all tasted the waffle, fruit and matcha soft serve. For a party of about a dozen, we werewolf taken care of. Service was fast and pretty attentive or at least we could grab her attention easily. Highly enjoyed this ramen and sushi spot tucked away in Studio City. The standouts were the Chirashi bowl; the fish melts in your mouth like butter and the sushi rice was seasoned to perfection. I enjoyed the "make my day roll" with a beautiful crisp of the shrimp tempura really amplifies the tasting experience. Burosu Ramen makes incredibly delicious and satisfying ramen, with an even better Happy Hour menu! I had no idea it was happy hour when I arrived and was able to get an order in just in time. We shared seared salmon sushi, a spicy tuna cut roll (which was a $2 uncharge from the hand roll), and hot sake. I also ordered the tsukemen (dipping ramen) and a glass of cabernet. The salmon sushi was great and the spicy tuna roll scratched the itch, but was not anything to write home about. I LOVED the tsukemen ramen. The concentrated broth was so flavorful and the noodles were perfectly cooked. I took plenty of it home, and reheated it with some added water as regular ramen and it was great. Sitting outside on a breezy evening was great. The only downside was the service. Our food came out quickly, but then our waitress didn't come back to our table for over an hour. Burosu is awesome! We love a Japanese/ramen place with outdoor seating! This small restaurant is located in a little plaza - there is valet parking for $3 in an underground garage, but also street parking available all around. You'll probably pay more for street parking tho (2hr for $4 hahaha). Their lunch specials here are a great deal, lots of items at a discounted price. My favorite app to order is the Umami Crisp, which is basically flaked and toasted brussel sprout leaves. It is SO good, so light! Highly recommend! I've gotten their Chirashi bowl lunch special too - good portions, fresh fish, overall very decent! Their Howaito ramen is their most popular item, and I understand why! The broth is so flavorful, but not heavy. Noodles are an excellent texture. You can't go wrong here. I love that they have so many options for ramen, classic Japanese food, and even fun drinks!! TL:DR - Great ramen, great service, tough parking Located in the Studio City district, Burosu Ramen is tucked away in a small plaza, serving up big flavors. There is a valet parking underneath the plaza, but if you don't want to pay for that, then there is street parking. Give yourself 10-15min more to find parking because even on a random weekday all the spots are filled up. Burosu offers both a normal menu and a lunch menu with similar meals priced a couple dollars cheaper. I got their maze-men lunch ramen and it was delicious. Ground pork, with ginger, nori, bamboo shoots, and noodles. Maze-men is soupless ramen and the flavor comes from a sauce or powder depending on where you go. The noodles were nice and tender, but not too soft. They had a little bit of chewiness. The flavor was savory wit ha little bit of bite from the ginger. It was quite filling and I left feeling thoroughly satisfied. I heard the chirashi bowl is really great as well, and will go back the next time to try it out. Overall a great spot for some ramen in an area where there isn't a whole lot of ramen. read more

I humbly suggest they serve the best tontkotsu ramen in Los Angeles. I've yet to have better. The difference- is clearly that they make and use real bone broth. If you think your ramen spot is better come try here and tell me when you realize you're wrong haha to be fair, there are other styles people make like more- fishier or saltier, but I've never had a more balanced bowl of ramen in my life. We are on a Ramen journey. It is a great adventure to try different ramen restaurants. On a rainy day, we discovered Burosu Ramen in Studio City. It is tucked inside a courtyard on the bottom floor around other businesses. The patio looks inviting but due to the rain, we sat inside. Lunch was just ending so we ordered from the Happy Hour Menu. The inside has minimal seating and has a nice atmosphere with plants and decorative fixtures and photos of happy canine patrons on the patio. You can go up to the counter and order several different kinds of tea as well. There is a colorful array of choices. We saw two girls arrive and take their teas to go. Oh and soft serve ice cream too! I want to return and try some next time. Service was prompt and friendly. She helped us pick our spider roll and warned us that the hot saki bottle was indeed hot. The Happy Hour menu is everyday from 3pm to 7pm EXCEPT Tuesdays. It has a nice selection. Perfect for us! We ordered our favorite ramen, Tonkatsu. The broth is the real deal. It had a depth and richness that soothed winter souls. You could tell they take the time to boil those bones to get the flavor. The noodles were springy and the pork slices (chashu) were large thinnly sliced pieces. Other items in dish added color, texture, and more flavor. One disappointment was that we were there during the transition from lunch to dinner and our ramen broth was not heated entirely. Not a great way to honor the chef who took so much time and the guest who came in on a rainy day. That being said, I am positive it was a one off, and we would return. Thoughtful and accomodating service! I really liked the Salmon rice bowl which was $10 for happy hour. It's a small rice bowl with mixed in cooked salmon, yummy soy based sauce mixed in topped with a tiny pinch of ikura and bonito flakes. Very flavorful and satisfying. I got the original tonkotsu ramen and I did enjoy it. It was topped with spinach, woodear mushroom, egg and marinated pork which was tasty. The soup was lighter than other tonkotsu ramen I've had. The noodles were closer to an egg noodle all squigly and perfectly al dente. Inside of the restaurant is decorated nicely and I love that their drink menu has a picture of everything. Absolutely get a reservation! They don't have many tables and they get BUSY. They have a decent menu with plenty of options. We were craving a little bit of everything and so ordered some sushi: salmon, tuna, flame seared albacore and flame seared salmon. It was delicious! So succulent and soft. As for rolls out waitress recommended the Let's Gold and Good vibes; they were both delicious and we enjoyed them very much. The spicy chicken wontons are a must! The sauce is sooooo good and not too spicy. To finish off our meal we ordered a bowl of Jigoku 23 ramen. It was a lot bigger than we expected and generously served with chashu, egg and the other toppings. It was a good level of spicy. Enough to make you sweat but tasted so good! Our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs and we ended up taking the ramen to go. The service was good and although we were seated outside they were still very attentive. First thing's first, the portions are small at this restaurant. Jinya Ramen offers 8 jumbo takoyaki for $8.95. The takoyaki here is 5 small balls for $10. The noodle quality for the hiyashi chuka (cold ramen) tasted like instant noodles. And the broth for the noodles tasted really bland. Not a good value and taste wise not to my liking. Going to keep this short and sweet. The atmosphere, customer service, and decor were all amazing. I wanted to try so many things on the menu too but settled on the howaito ramen which is their tonkotsu broth ramen. The only thing I would critique was the chashu meat that came with the howaito. It lacked flavor and felt like it was a bit overcooked too as it was slightly chewy. I looked at other people's pictures of their howaito ramen and their chashu looked nicely seared and something that I would drool over. Let's start with the atmosphere, super cute spot tucked in a plaza. There is good amount of tables for dining in. The aesthetic is boba tea shop meets Japanese cafe. I love good customer service and Burosu is it. Very welcoming and friendly. They have ramen and sushi on the menu along with a few other items like curry. My husband tried the curry rice karaage and it was filling. The karaage has a light batter but still crispy. We shared The Perfect Strom. We could not get over it, scallop roll, topped with Uni and ikura with a little bit of gold flakes. This might have been my favorite, however I loveeeeeedd the salmon skin hand roll, not a lot of places make it good, this was GREAT. The salmon skin was crispy and delicious, great flavor. I also tried the yellow tail and ikura hand roll and spider hand roll. They were solid as well! We ended the meal with the Day Dream milk tea and Always Summer ( Thai tea and coffee) great combination. I'm not going to lie, I will be thinking about this place for a while. Don't be fooled that this ramen shop is located in a shopping center. It is a bit on the smaller side but the service and the food were top notch! We came in about 5:45 on a Friday night just in time to best the rush and still have ample time for their happy hour. We ordered the garlic edamame and gyoza appetizers and a few of their delicious teas! Next up we ordered a few hand rolls all so fresh and absolutely delicious as well. The star of the show was of course their ramen. The tonkotsu was so flavorful and their chili oil is a must add in to really give it that kick. This place was really cute. Decorated very nicely. We came in on a Saturday evening around 6:30 and they were very busy. We placed an order and they kept giving us everything we ordered 1 by 1, and not all at once, which is totally fine. But it got to a point where they forgot a few of our stuff. They apologized so still it was fine, we underwood. But at the end, one of the ladies working was trying to argue with me saying she did give us one of the orders when in reality she didn't. Not sure why she was arguing with us. At the end of the night, all of our stomachs hurt as well. Not sure if we will be coming back. read more
