Dude I was shopping at marshals and the whole parking lot smells of this delicious food. We got the corn ribs, fried chicken, and gyoza Mains I got the premium tonkotsu red level 3 (high medium spice) dude it was super good. Welcoming atmosphere and great attentive staff. Very friendly and inviting atmosphere from outside in. Def recommended this place to my cousin already, and will for sure be coming back.

We ordered ramen and gyoza at JINYA. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The gyoza were not tasty, and the ramen did not taste like authentic Japanese ramen at all. On top of that, we found a hair in the ramen, which completely ruined the meal. What disappointed us even more was the way the situation was handled. At first, we were still brought the full bill. Later they decided to deduct something, but only removed one dish instead of resolving the issue in a more reasonable and customer-friendly way.

This is still my favorite. Ramen plays my number one go to and it is always worth the drive . Since I moved away to the San Gabriel Valley, I still make it my best effort to come and eat this my favorite Ramen spot my favorite Ramen noodles broth. Everything about this place is absolutely delicious. The service is always great and not like the layout of the restaurant.

Great service from Giselle. She was very friendly and helpful and even help me replace my Ramen when I found it to be too spicy. The vibes are very cute, it's a very small location here, but the food is really good. The lycheetinis are excellent as well.

Delicious ramen and small bites! We really liked the eggplant and brussels sprouts. The servers were accommodating for our customization and large party. We sat outside on the patio which was nice but the inside was cozy as well. Parking was also very easy in the structure. Would come back!

A pretty good place for ramen. I hear the broth is pretty good. I had the pork bowl with rice. The rice bowl was a little dry but had good flavor. The server was very nice and told me about their rewards program which I signed up for but didn't know I had to do something before I left the restaurant. So bummer, no rewards for me. We sat outside which wasn't so bad since the weather was pretty cool. It was nice to be outside but not much of a restaurant vibe. More like a cafe. Parking is above and below ground. Menu prices are moderate.

I love the vibes of this place. It's on the quite side and is a bit dark inside. But there is also patio seating, which I am sure is louder next to the parking lot. Although it was a bit busy with the dinner crowd, we were seated right away and service was easy enough to wave down. The ramen here is good, about average LA pricing. But I also love their salmon bowls. It's got a good diverse menu for everyone. Good place for a date night or a small group.

Parking - There is plenty of space in the garage parking. The spaces are small and tight though. My friend drove their sedan there and it was still hard to get properly within the lines. Inside - They have outdoor and indoor seating. The indoor seating is a bit cramped. I'm not sure if it is a safety hazard to have the tables so close to one another but yeah. Other than that the vibe of the place is nice. Great music and good ambience to hang with friends for food. Seating - To grab a table you go up to the hostess and give them your number. When your table is ready they will notify you through text. I did not have to wait long to be seated. About 15 minutes. The staff were all very nice and the service was fast. Premium Tonkotsu Red - This ramen comes with pork broth, pork chase, green onions, seasoned egg, kikurage (ear wood), seaweed, chili oil, bean sprouts and ramen noodles. You get to choose from a spice level from 0-10. The waitress told us that 3 was considered mild so I got 4. I love eating spicy food so it wasn't that spicy to me. But if you cannot tolerate spicy I would stick between the 1-3 spice level range. The meat was very tender, the vegetables were done just right, and the noodles were firm. The only thing that I was not a fan of was their broth. It was very very salty and oily. I like salt, but it was a bit much for me. I prefer a lighter broth. The overall flavor profile was alright. I would give the ramen a 7 out of 10. Takoyaki - They were very generous with how much sauce they added on the balls. They also made the most perfectly crisp outside and big octopus pieces. This was a 8.5 out of 10 Overall - This was my first time here, but I don't think I will be rushing back. The experience was nice, but I just wasn't a big fan of the ramen.

I have been come here since it opened. It used to be my favorite in the whole SFV. Let me start by the service was superb. Unfortunately, I got such a stomachache after having the chilled tamtam noodle. It was flavorful. But not exactly chilled. More like almost warm but just got a bit of cold water on top.... My kid had Jinya Original, we switched to thin noodles, just like what they used to make. That was good. It was not too busy at Saturday afternoon. Table was clean.

We were seated immediately in a choice outdoor corner table. Our drinks arrived shortly - the J girl mocktail was heavy handed with the mint and lacked blood orange flavor; the house hot sake was good. The eggplant was perfectly cooked. Had a delicious flavor if not slightly over sauced, The black sesame ramen was delicious and devoured. The V hot and sour had a good flavor, moderate spice with the Togarashi, and a brightness with the cilantro. The noodles were well cooked. Water was delayed but eventually came after I went to get it myself. Overall a good meal

We sat by the window on a rainy day. Enjoyed some absolutely delicious ramen with a side of red ginger. Started with the broccolini and it was perfectly cooked. I love the sauces. I mixed the 3 together and it was the best combo (highly recommend). Service was quick and friendly!

A perfect spot to visit on a cold winter night. I ordered the spicy chicken ramen and it came out piping hot. The servers working here are all really nice too and seem to work well together. I was by myself so got quickly seated at a communal high top table, but if you have a larger party be prepared to wait unless you get lucky. The inside of the restaurant is pretty small and even the patio doesn't have a ton of seating. Overall a great experience and super close to Universal Studios if you're looking for a quick place to dine after a visit.

I went on a Wednesday at around 2pm with both my parents. Erickson was the host and he quickly found us a table. Then we were assigned a server that started off ok, but she quickly developed an attitude. She heard that neither of my parents wanted anything to drink, and that I had asked for just water and 5 more minutes before we were gonna place our orders, and then she immediately lost all interest in providing any kind of service to us. She simply got lost and was just chilling and talking to coworkers (important that it was on a workweek day at around 2pm, so the store was slow). I was able to get Erickson's attention and he quickly took our orders, (Pro Tip: I worked in the food industry many years ago: if I skip on getting drinks with my meal, it probably means that I want to pass on those savings to the servers in the form of a proper tip) and provided us with excellent service. He single-handedly bumped this review from a 1-star rating to a 4-star rating. When the check came, I noticed Erickson showed up as our server so I tipped him properly and didn't even bother to get the girl's name because of how furious I was due to the crappy service. Crappy treatment from that woman aside, the food itself was fantastic. I was able to get the Chef's Special, so did my dad, and my mom got the Lunch Special. The Demon Slayer spoons were mega cool (main reason why I came, tbh), and the ramen itself was delicious and was a generous portion!

It was refreshing to not be disappointed by our ramen, so my mom and I went back less than a week later. Any issues we experienced our first visit were either repeated or amplified during our second visit. Both times I noticed that the ramen isn't served hot. At best, it's served warm, so despite being a quick eater, the last bites of my bowls were "enjoyed" cold. Also, the restaurant is very busy with to go orders, so the overwhelmed staff has to juggle dine in as well as delivery drivers and their priority is the to go orders. They have a sign up/wait list, but they don't follow it. Customers who stand at the door, in the staff's view, will be seated before others who signed up before, but are off to the side. Lastly, is the issue of cleanliness. Our first visit the restaurant didn't feel very clean, but by the second, I was sure they weren't cleaning throughly. We ordered fresh garlic and the garlic masher they gave still had old garlic inside. On top of that, they don't wipe tables between customers because they're so busy. Strictly rating the food, Kai Ramen deserves a solid 4 stars, but as a whole, I think 3 stars is generous. Unfortunately, another visit wouldn't change anything because the problem is caused by management understaffing and overworking employees.

It's very clear that this job is not important to them. This employee is costing you business and putting the literal health of your customers at stake. I took my brother and my partner here 4/17. It was empty and there was no music. Right off the bat your employee (who was dressed like she just got back from the gym) serves us up three ice waters and walks off before we can point out the CHIPPED RIM of the pint glass. My partner fished THE PIECE OF GLASS out of his drink. We flagged down the employee who smiled and apologized and whisked it away. At that point I wanted to leave. But we were hungry so we all ordered beers and avoided the ice since I didn't trust them to burn the rest of their ice well in case there was more glass. I suspect his employee used the pint glass to scoop out the ice (health code violation) or just didn't care enough to notice. I'm grateful my partner was a former busser and spotted the glass before he took a drink. We were offered no compensation or a free round or anything. Just a few excuses from the employee who seemed to find it amusing. The place was empty until another couple came in. The employee started playing music from her phone at full volume, which it's probably the worst way you could add ambiance to a restaurant. It echoed inside so the tinny sound from the phone speaker grated against my nerves. Then employee took our order. Forgot our order. Took it again. We crossed our fingers that the kitchen was solid. And they were! My California roll was excellent and I enjoyed the miso soup! It's a shame that it's all served on chipped plastic serving plates-- all our plates and bowls were chipped. I would've told your employee this but they were busy jumping rope... Yes, you read that correctly, they were jumping rope. Getting some reps in. I sat there and watched your employee jump rope, getting all sweaty before serving us food, in a restaurant while customers were there. Never, in my 8 years in the service industry, have I ever heard of a server jumping rope while on a dinner shift in front of customers. That is an insane thing to do. I literally thought I was going crazy until I noticed the couple next to me ASLO watching your employee skip rope. (They took their food to go. SMART). We got the check and left. In our hurry to leave, my partner realized he never got his credit card back. He went back to the restaurant only to find the employee was chatting with the BOH, his card still on the tray. (She didn't even run the card). The cherry on top of the worst service I've ever received.

Saw the high reviews so had to check it out. Susuru Ramen Bar is located on the corner of Hollywood Blvd and N Kingsley Dr. The lot is small sharing spaces with other restaurants so your best bet is street parking, which can also be tricky especially later in the day. The restaurant is small, with the register counter as the first thing you see walking through the door. There's bar seating against the wall, and 2-3 tables for groups of maybe 4-6 people. The lady manning the front counter as well as taking orders and serving was fantastic. Very friendly and checked up on all tables through out the night. For ramen, my bf got the Tonkotsu ($1 extra for spicy), and I got the Mayu. I see why it has such high reviews, both were delicious. The roasted garlic oil was amazing and complimented the pork broth. The seasoned soft-boiled egg was our favorite part, not just lightly seasons either. It was sweet and savory with each bite, and the creaminess from the jammy yolk was fantastic. The charred cha siu slices had a slight sweetness too, and the fat through the slices gave it this wonderful melt in your mouth, mouth feel. The tonkostu spicy used the same broth just added the chili oil to it and gave it a good bite. The noodles had a nice chew to it. It was just the perfect bowl on a chilly May evening. Definitely worth checking out for a great bowl of ramen.
