Pick this Thai restaurant and you'll not regret it! It's your money well spent! Come in it's nice & cool and clean. Everything we ate was delicious. Served promptly. Parking is limited but you can park on street.

Had lunch here today after church. First, the parking situation is a bit difficult. There is a very tiny lot that can fit about 7-8 cars, minus handicap spots, so if you want to bring your own car, be prepared to wait or find street parking. The restaurant in itself was fairly small but was packed. The menu is pretty standard with your basic ramen, rolls and small appetizers, as well as various rice bowls. I saw that they had a summer ramen, a cold chicken yuzu ramen. I wanted to try it, as it was extremely humid today. I liked it, the ramen noodles were really hard and the broth was zesty with yuzu juice as well as yuzu paste and slices of lime and lemons. Definitely a unique experience. I tried the broth of the spicy tonkotsu and the mayu. Both were very good and deep in flavor. If the parking wasn't too bad, I would come here more often, as the ramen was definitely good and the prices were even better.

Yum! So glad to have stumbled upon this place on yelp. The place is cozy, and there is a very small parking garage lot shared among others in the plaza. Also street parking. The portions are a bit smaller than expected for the price, the toppings (bamboo, wood ear) were sparse, and a bit on the saltier side, but the ramen is filling and full-bodied flavorful! They have egg sando that I'll have to try next time!

Ramen was good. Got spicy miso and my friend got tonkatsu. Parking can be a little tricky because the place is small and it shares its spots with other businesses.

My bf and I were in LA for a show at a nearby bar but got there early and hadn't had dinner so we decided to check out what was near by. Susuru Ramen Bar was such a great surprise. Saw the high reviews so had to check it out. Susuru Ramen Bar is located on the corner of Hollywood Blvd and N Kingsley Dr. The lot is small sharing spaces with other restaurants so your best bet is street parking, which can also be tricky especially later in the day. The restaurant is small, with the register counter as the first thing you see walking through the door. There's bar seating against the wall, and 2-3 tables for groups of maybe 4-6 people. The lady manning the front counter as well as taking orders and serving was fantastic. Very friendly and checked up on all tables through out the night. For ramen, my bf got the Tonkotsu ($1 extra for spicy), and I got the Mayu. I see why it has such high reviews, both were delicious. The roasted garlic oil was amazing and complimented the pork broth. The seasoned soft-boiled egg was our favorite part, not just lightly seasons either. It was sweet and savory with each bite, and the creaminess from the jammy yolk was fantastic. The charred cha siu slices had a slight sweetness too, and the fat through the slices gave it this wonderful melt in your mouth, mouth feel. The tonkostu spicy used the same broth just added the chili oil to it and gave it a good bite. The noodles had a nice chew to it. It was just the perfect bowl on a chilly May evening. Definitely worth checking out for a great bowl of ramen.

Stopped by here on a recommendation from my Yelp friend (Thank you, Eric H!). Susuru Ramen makes delicious ramen! Their signature ramens are the Tonkotsu and Khao Soi Ramen. Vegetarian ramen also available for non-meat preference. We tried over a few dishes and all were very good! The ramen broth was balanced and their noodles were cooked to perfection. The menu has a nice selection of appetizers, rice bowls, and sushi rolls if you don't feel like ramen. This place has hints of Thai ownership, but with a Japanese soul. The Chef knows what they are doing! Am impressed. Susuru Ramen is solid. Credit and cash accepted. Parking is tight in the area (Thaitown-Hollywood) is the only downside.

Perfect egg in the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen.

A tiny little spot, but the flavor is full size. It was lunch time and I was hungry. I started off with the Chicken & Pork Gyoza, and the Spicy Salmon cut roll. The combination of chicken and pork in gyoza was new for me, and these were very tasty. The Spicy Salmon Sushi was also good , and the pieces didn't fall apart, as they so often do in Ramen shops. The main course was Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen. I asked for spicy ramen and that's exactly what I got. The broth had some real heat to it, and they did not go lightly on the chili paste. The noodles were nicely cooked, the egg was perfect, and the pork chashu was tender and full of flavor. My only question, is that with all this good food, served with real tableware and utensils, all they had were little plastic containers to use as dipping/sauce bowls? Regardless, It was a very satisfying lunch. The service at Sunsuru was friendly and helpful, and the prices are very reasonable. $15 for the Ramen and $8 for the sushi roll and the Goyza. Susuru Ramen Bar is definitely worth a visit.

I had the spicy miso ramen which is great! Loved the flavor. Would always recommend more meat! Always drive by this place and never noticed it. Service was good. Some inside seating, no outside seating. It's a chill little somewhat dive. Good for the price. Would I come back, Yes.

Mayu

Went here with my Sister and brother-in-law. Loved it so much I came back with friends. Hands down, the best Ramen I've ever had. The Mayu is so silky and flavorful. Both times, service was excellent! Water was constantly refilled and they checked in regularly to make sure everything was good. Restaurant was small, clean, and inviting. It's about an hour from where I live, but I'll definitely be going back!

Love the ramen! It's a small spot right off Hollywood Blvd with great ramen. And the price is inexpensive but good quality. The staff are really friendly and have always had a good experience.

Spicy Miso

Oh my I don't know where to start. This cute little ramen shop is hidden in a small corner mall. The decor is nothing crazy but it creates a cozy homey feeling in the restaurant. I ordered the spicy miso ramen and I was blown away, the broth was perfectly balanced and packed with flavor. The pork chasu was the most tender chasu I've ever had in LA. This ramen was better than some spots I had in Japan! Service was quick and friendly and this place is affordable compared to other ramen spots in LA. I will 100% be coming back in the future.

Mayu
Michelle X.

I haven't had ramen in a while and Susuru was the perfect re-entry. The shop was packed on a friday evening, giving a bustling and intimate feel. Yes the Mayu was on the heavier, saltier side, but not overwhelming. The chashu, sliced thinly, was melt in your mouth, and the black garlic gave that perfect umami.

Spicy Tonkotsu
Emiliano N.

To start off our server was nice and kind I didn't happen to get her name but I hope she sees this and knows! Susuru is a better ramen for me compared to tatsu as of recently. It's packed with so much flavor in either the mild or spicy option without being heavy which makes you feel sluggish afterwards. The takoyaki was full of so much flavor, texture and just a good complement with the ramen.

One of the biggest reasons is the consistency of their ramen. We've noticed that at other locations, the broth can vary slightly in flavor, and while it's not a huge difference, it's definitely noticeable. This location consistently gets it right! The kids' set is also one of the best things on the menu, especially if you're dining with little ones! We've tried so many different items, including the beef bowl, poke bowl, spicy tuna bites, Spam musubi, cheese egg rolls, and gyoza, and honestly, we've enjoyed everything we've ordered. The staff is great as well! Most of the employees we've interacted with have been friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. Overall, this has become our preferred location. Between the consistently delicious food, great variety, and good service, it's a place we genuinely enjoy coming back to!

They were very knowledgeable in what was gluten free and what wasn't. The only unfortunate part is that all the meats are marinated in a sauce that is not gluten free. So you can only get tofu or no protein. Even if you select no protein, it comes out to be the same price. Other than the gluten free ramen, we ordered a karage bowl, dry spicy ramen, and spicy tuna roll. The karage bowl had chicken that was NOT fried. I'm not sure how it's cooked but the chicken came out slimy. I was very disappointed as I was looking forward to crunchy karage. The dry ramen had noodles that were way overcooked. The flavoring was okay. Nothing to be impressed about. The spicy tuna roll was probably the best thing there. They had pickled yellow radish that we thought was interesting.

I don't know if it was just timed perfectly or what, but this place definitely stays busy. You have to pay for the parking area to get into the gated area, but it's not too bad. They won't let you in the gated area if there's no parking which is probably how they have consistent guests but also kind of timed perfectly. That's the mood that pulled me into Maruya in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles. I ordered the chashu tonkotsu, the classic go-to when you want to judge a ramen shop by its bones. And the verdict? It was... fine. Not bad, not memorable -- just okay. The kind of bowl that doesn't offend you but doesn't linger in your memory either. No standout richness in the broth, no chashu slice that made me pause mid-bite. Just noodles, doing their job. This is actually the second ramen spot I've tried in Little Tokyo, and I'll admit -- I'm starting to feel a little underwhelmed by the neighborhood's ramen scene so far. For a pocket of the city with so much culinary history packed into a few blocks, I expected to be a bit more wowed by now. Two tries in, and I'm still searching for that bowl that stops me in my tracks. What did stand out, though, was the service. The staff at Maruya were genuinely warm and helpful -- attentive without hovering, quick to check in, the kind of hospitality that makes you want to root for the place even when the food doesn't quite deliver. It's the kind of detail that softens an otherwise middling meal. So, Little Tokyo ramen crawl: two down, verdict still out. The people have been great. The noodles? I'm still waiting to be impressed.
