Enjoy coming here when I'm in Studio City. Quick, great staff, and just a fun, casual vibe. Food is great and I always leave full.

My TWICE a week lunch special spot! Lovely staff who appreciate my repeat business and love for their restaurant! I usually order the 3 item bento box (chicken teriyaki, mixed tempura and spicy scallop hand roll). If you aren't a fan of rice, you can ask for DOUBLE salad and the dressing is divine! Usually runs around $23 for 3 items and $20 for 2!

This is one of my sons favorite sushi places and so is mine too. The sushi and sashimi is always fresh their quality is amazing. Even though is far away from me l don't mind driving 40 minutes to get there and enjoy my favorite sushi spot. Their service is also amazing and the place is clean.

Cute little sushi joint in the little strip mall off Ventura Boulevard. I was meeting some friends at residuals Tavern after and this was a great pitstop to get some fresh sushi. Cute neon lights and decor. Service was excellent. Very friendly and speedy. I had a seaweed salad and a nice hot sake. Then I got the spicy tuna cut roll with easy rice and it was perfect. Very fresh tasting sushi. I forgot to get pictures before I gobbled down half of it. Lol. Happy hour Monday through Friday from 4 to 7. A lot of items on that happy hour menu with really good prices. Will be back!

Sushi Dan is one of my go-to places for sushi when I'm near work. Their fish is always fresh and they have excellent lunch specials. I love getting an assortment of fresh nigiri rolls (their salmon is exceptional) and the Bon Bon roll as a treat. The Hot Night 2 is also tasty. My friend ordered the sashimi and tuna tartare. She loved both. The staff is extremely friendly and speedy. They're very knowledgeable about the dishes and helpful with recommendations. It's also really cute inside! It'd be a great place for date night.

We are not local and we're inly near studio city for one night to be closer to the airport for our flight home. We found this little local spot and we were not sure what to expect. It was delicious and the fish quality was similar to spots we visited in West Hollywood for half the price. The service was great and the portions were generous - much larger pieces of good quality fish!

Bento lunch box! So much food and everything was great! Rice, salad, soup, 3 piece sashimi, 3 piece sushi and roll!? Best albacore sushi I have ever had, may even beat the yellowtail!

First of all, parking lot is very small. Fortunately, someone was leaving as we pulled in so we were lucky enough to grab that spot. We went during happy hour. Everything we got was pretty good. It came out quickly and it was fresh. The have a couple of TVs so we were able to catch the Dodger game. I didn't catch the server's name but he was very efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. We had a couple of picky eaters at our table and he was nice enough to recommend a few things That turned out to be amazing! The inside is very cute. They have a couple of neon signs for photo ops and some really cute light up cherry blossom trees. I definitely enjoyed the vibe here. I noticed they had some macaroon ice cream sandwiches in the front that I was curious to try. Will definitely come back and try them

Located on Ventura Boulevard, Sushi Tomoki is a small, intimate sushi restaurant with a clean, minimalist Japanese aesthetic and a relaxed atmosphere that lets the food take center stage. (The Infatuation) Since we were dining with our 22-month-old, we requested a table instead of sitting at the sushi bar, and the staff was very accommodating. They even prepared a customized tamago sushi roll for our little one, which he absolutely enjoyed. The omakase was thoughtfully paced, with each piece served one at a time so we could fully appreciate every bite. The fish was incredibly fresh, and every piece practically melted in our mouths. The attention to detail and quality of the ingredients really stood out. The only piece that wasn't my favorite was the sushi topped with mint. It simply wasn't my personal preference, though I'm sure those who enjoy mint with savory dishes would appreciate it. The service was exceptional from start to finish. Everyone was warm, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. They made my sister's birthday even more special by singing Happy Birthday and surprising her with complimentary sherbet and four pieces of green tea mochi--a thoughtful touch that ended the evening on a high note. Overall, Sushi Tomoki delivered a memorable omakase experience with outstanding sushi, attentive service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We'll definitely be back.

We walked in at 6:40pm and got a nice welcome from Mediko. Without having a reservation, she sat us down immediately. Our server Meika approached us right away to take our order. We started off with a standard size of Garlic Edamame ($6.80), and then ordered few other cut rolls. Spicy Tuna Cut Roll--for 10 pieces ($14.80), Albacore Fried Onion Roll-- count of 12 for ($20.80), Zero Roll-- count of 12 for ($25.00), Rainbow Roll-- count of 12 for ($10.80). Everything was so LIGHT, FRESH and DELICIOUS!!! They also have hand rolls, and other types of cut rolls. They have street and metered parking. Before I forget, we ordered Crispy Rice Tuna that came in (2) pieces for (13.50). The minute I saw that, it made me laugh. Called our server and told her to take that back and remove it from the bill which she gladly did. I thought it was going to be an actual full course rolls. They also have dessert but we didn't order anything. Restaurant was very quaint, limited decor, very busy for Monday mid evening, and was very nice and clean. Total came out to be $95.70 including tax minus the tip. I'm sure they also have a bathroom, but we didn't end up using it. I will return, but not any time soon. They also don't have any Bento Box type of food. Very authentic place to go on a date, friends, family or even dine solo. They also have a Sushi Bar. Alcohol wise, only have beer, wine and sake along with 2 fridges full of cold drinks.. Thank you all very much!!

The fish is supreme quality and freshness, which alone would recommend it, but then the chef dresses each piece differently with subtle delicious flavors that enhance and converse with the distinct taste of each fish. Usually when I have sushi I put the standard soy and wasabi mix on everything. Here every piece is so skillfully prepared that any changes would diminish them. Wasabi and soy sauce are provided but I never touched them. I recommend the omakase. It's cheaper than I expected, and every bite was a revelation. Types of fish I generally don't think much of (mackerel, uni, amberjack) in Chef Tetsuya's hands were phenomenal. Even the miso soup was memorably good. We ordered Sugarfish delivery and it was amazing. It's not the exact restaurant experience but the fish was very fresh and the box presentation was really nice. I love the rice - it is lightly packed and delicious - it even arrived fairly warm (one difference between restaurant and delivery - rice is not hot). So many places have what I call heavy rice - densely packed and cold. You choose from a set box but you can make some substitutions if they have the fish available. It meets all the checkmarks you'd look for in a nice restaurant in terms of environment, service and food. Ambience is romantic. Dim lights, fake candles, and carefully monitored air conditioning to ensure the quality of the food is enjoyable from the moment it leaves the kitchen until you eat. Service was professional and each waiter has an appropriate number of tables assigned to make sure each customer feels like they're being cared for. Price is very affordable for an omakase, and considering what you're getting, the price seems justified. Having had a few omakase experiences prior to Sugarfish, I have to say this was an underwhelming experience. I came because of its reputations amongst my friends and acquaintances. Unfortunately, it did not have the creativity and innovation I was looking for in an omakase. Usually, I'd see chefs take more risk by showing off a new combination of ingredients. Instead, it looked like the price of the omakase was just the price of each dish you could get at any other sushi restaurant. I'm talking a few slices of sashimi, a hand roll and some nigiri. Reiterating - highly recommended for people new to sushi. Minimal decision fatigue and you get to taste a variety of plates. You can order the plates of the dishes you like someplace else.

Especially one open very late most nights! So many times after a long late work day I had no options for food, having a gluten allergy and being vegan, so now this is where I can go and expect a nearly perfect ramen every time. The no. 10 ramen (that has no broth) is my favorite. The ramen with broth is on the thicker side, and every type is good. They kinda all taste very similar to be honest. But even for people that eat meat, all the flavor is still present in the broth and ingredients. The atmosphere is also very nice and dark, with a decent amount of seats and nice background music playing, no annoying top 40 stuff. Always some nice electronic music that isn't too energetic or too sleepy. Sometimes there can be loud people but that really can't be helped in todays culture unfortunately, especially LA. I do wish they had more caffeine free drink options. Maybe some liquid death sodas, la crouix, or lemonade options would go well with the ramen or rolls! **The only other thing to keep in mind is that they tend to stop serving within a half hour of closing and sometimes they close early, might be best to order ahead or call if you intend on coming by around closing time, I was very disappointed two times because of this. ** Also, there is a shared lot and usually open spots on the street too. I recommend parking on the street as the parking lot can be a bit chaotic.
