I'll let my experience speak for itself. I walked in with my pregnant girlfriend and little sister to this restaurant with the intention to order food and a drink. When I walked in we were asked to wait in the patio to be served. Doing so my girlfriend used the restroom. We were greeted by a white dog that was barking at her little sister that one of the employees owned. I have allergies to dogs so I already was on the fence about this experience. Then upon sitting down we realized they didn't have a drink we were looking for, so I decided we should leave. I didn't realize but while we were waiting outside for my girlfriend, the hostess (in her mid 50s) followed us out, giving us dirty looks, throwing her hands in the air asking if there was a problem. I said no thanks we are just gonna continue looking around. She gave a stank face at my girlfriends little sister (mind you she's 11) and walked back inside. She then waited outside the restroom my girlfriend was in and raised her voice at my girlfriend in front of other patrons. It was embarrassing for her and disappointing to hear when she let me know. I don't take kindly of disrespect of someone I care about for simply using the restroom. It's offensive and wrong. We were going to return to the establishment but because of the hostess nasty attitude we didn't come back. I wish we had the experience other patrons have, it was so sad not to. I love giving positive reviews to places and shouting out employees for great customer service. It was disappointing to have such an unwelcoming, uncomfortable experience with an employee. If I could give zero stars I would. And I'm going to be reporting the place to the health department for the dog. Should not be allowed if there are no signs pets will be on premises. I hope they can learn to be respectful of customers if they decide to or not decide to be patrons of the day. It's bad business and humiliating to treat people disrespectfully for no reason. I came to Celia Cafe after a long visit at the hospital and was craving some chicken luleh, so I decided to give this place a try since it wasn't too far from the hospital, and I ordered two chicken plate and one chicken kebab plate to take home and share with my family. The place is small but clean and seems good for a quick meal or takeout. When we tried the food at home, we all had the same opinion, the chicken luleh was a little too dry for our taste and not moist as a good chicken luleh should be. I've had chicken luleh many times at different restaurants and homemade, so I have a pretty good idea of how I personally like it. The food wasn't bad, but I think there is definitely some room for improvement, especially with the moisture and texture of the chicken. Overall, I would give my experience 3 stars. The place was clean and the staff was friendly, but for me, the food itself is the most important part of the rating. Unfortunately, the chicken dishes were too dry for my taste. This is simply my personal experience and preference, and I hope it can be taken as constructive feedback. I'm not saying people should avoid this place, everyone has different tastes, so I think it's still worth trying and making your own judgment. Had such a wonderful experience at Cela Cafe in Burbank! We came to celebrate my friend's birthday and had a party of 6. The owner was incredibly friendly and went out of her way to help customize our food order, which we really appreciated. Parking is available on the street, plus there's a small parking lot in the back. We sat on the patio in the back area, which was beautifully decorated with gorgeous flowers and had such a lovely atmosphere. Everything we ordered was delicious from the tzatziki and hummus to the Fattoush & Avocado Chicken salad, lulleh beef & chicken, and pork chop was so fresh and tasty. The branzino fish was cooked perfectly and delicious. And you absolutely have to try the homemade baklava! It tasted so fresh and delicious. Everyone in our party loved the food, and there was something for everyone to enjoy. The service was a little slow, but honestly, the food and overall experience were worth the wait. I also really enjoyed the Armenian sea buckthorn tea. It was warm, fragrant, and refreshing, with a naturally bright, slightly tangy flavor that made it really enjoyable. It was such a nice drink to sip on at the end of our meal and something I'd definitely order again. Overall, we had a great time celebrating together. Went to Cela Cafe last night for the first time very since my husband and I love Mediterranean food and are also trying to eat a bit more healthy. This place was absolutely phenomenal. Let's start with the service shall we. The two people working were incredibly helpful at helping us navigate the menu as well as providing some great suggestions. This is counter service but since we ate there on their patio they brought our food and even set real silverware and our plates down for us. Next let's talk about the ambiance. The interior is small but where this place shines is their back door patio. It's super cute, warm, and very inviting. The person working even turned a heater on for us. Lastly, the food. Omg delicious I had the chicken shawarma plate (pictured) and my husband had the beef shawarma plate. Both were amazing and very delicious. Stopped in after the Holiday in the Park event and it was the perfect place to wind down with good food. All of the team members are friendly and make sure you're comfortable and feel welcome. They recommended the chicken kebab plate and it was a good portion to share for two. We opted to sit in the patio section in the back and it was really nice to get away from all the busy-ness in the streets and have a secluded spot to eat. Love Cela! My go-to is the Falafel Wrap which is full of falafel, tahini, lemon dressing, cucumbers, tomatoes, and lettuce. The pickled veggies on the side are *chefs kiss*. The gyro was very tasty with a nice amount of tatziki, and my request asking for no parsley was honored. Shwarma was difficult to unwrap, paper was stuck on the inside and looked as though it was grilled/pressed with the paper on it which jammed pieces of the paper into the folds of the shwarma. Once unwrapped, it was delicious. Chicken luleh kabob plate was good. Kids chicken was good. The only real issue I have is that an $18+(menu price not delivery) gyro or shwarma should be bigger or come with fries. And the paper issue with the shwarma was just odd. read more

I had the Shakshuka eggs Very reminiscent of a Huevos Rancheros and honestly, this was so much better than any huevos rancheros I've had at any Mexican restaurant. Spicy (as requested) and very savory with the perfect easy/medium egg in a cast iron. I'd eat this every morning!! For the espresso alone in their outdoor covered back patio is cause enough for an early morning stop with my dog (yes - pet friendly!) to enjoy. I really do hope to see this place busier as the staff is some of the nicest people I've met. The chicken salad salty & the chicken breast dry . The only thing that was a 9/10 was the fries & the hummus. The main protein should be the high light not the sauces to cover up the dry meat. The owner is such a sweet lady, super welcoming and kind. You can tell she really cares. I wish there was a larger amount of salad instead of rice and lavash to balance out the dryness. This is an order at the counter restaurant with no service and a self-serve water station. Due to a food advertiser on IG, I decided to drive to Cela Cafe to try a combo plate with chicken skewer and beef shwarma $20.95. Service was mediocre as I my order took forever to be ready and no one was overly friendly for a fairly new establishment. Food was not worth the wait. As I was a bit disappointed with portion and quality of food. As instead of a skewer of chicken, it came with 2 chunks of chicken and some beef that taste dry, reheated and a bit old (see my pic). My food look nothing like what the Asian guy on IG was eating. Street parking, although I found a couple empty spaces at the bank next door. Few tables and chairs to dine in with nice decor.
