I placed my order through Grubhub and was quoted a decent time for arrival at work. I ordered the Baja bowl for me and my coworker ordered their salad "the cafe" Food was packed nicely and arrived on time for us to enjoy it. My Baja bowl tasted amazing no complaints there--plus their bread is soft and pairs well with the bowl. 5/5 The cafe salad (per my friend) is the best tasting ever it included pears and she said the whole combination of the salad tasted amazing to her. Her new favorite. 5/5 Urbane cafe has many varieties and I like them for that.

Santa Maria BBQ Chicken

We've been coming here since they opened. They are very consistent whether it's for take out or if you eat there. The sandwiches are absolutely delicious, fresh, the bread is always baked there on the spot, the salads are also great. Don't miss out on the cookies, they bake it fresh (don't go to Crumbl next door, trust me it's better at urbane). The customer service is top notch, they keep the place nice and clean and they a great variety of sodas and juices. The only complaint I have would be the parking but that's not their fault.

I still love this place and never get tired of it! Great soups, salads, sandwiches and bowls! *The Enchilada Soup was divine!!!! Available now I order online now and pick up at the front. *Note - always check your order before heading out the door! A few times my order was incorrect.

This was my first time here and they have some pretty "healthy" options. Maybe think of it as an upgraded Subway? The location we went to was nice and clean but the parking situation can be tough! It's in an expanded mixture of a strip mall and a mall I guess you would say. The cafe was nice and clean, the seating was comfortable and the food was delicious! The service is fast and the employees are friendly enough! They work fast so your food comes out in a timely manner! The portions aren't huge but normal sized which is fine and will fill you up with no problem! There's also a drink fountain with unlimited refills. As I said it was my first time so I only had the soup and a half of a sandwich but this place is definitely worth a look if you're in the neighborhood and hungry!

Santa Maria tri tip sandwich

Santa Maria tri tip sandwich today was perfectly made. Layered tri tip, Cole slaw melted cheese and a nice bar b Que sauce with some heat on a fresh focaccia bread with a fresh greens salad . Plenty of lot parking at NoHo west center and a nice lunch crowd. Excellent service too.

This place has grown on me so much! I went here for a yelp elite event several months ago and loved it so much it's become a regular spot. The steak chimichurri sandwich is just perfect. The meat texture and flavor in whatever you order is always amazing. I had the Baja bowl recently. After I ordered it I got scared, I was like damn maybe I should have gotten the old tried and true steak sandwich. But then when it came out and I took a bite I knew I had made a good decision. I love that there are so many delicious things here that you don't have to fear exploring the menu. I don't even need to mention the bread you already know what the hell is up. Best bread ever. Staff is super nice especially the girl with the red hair. Will be back!! :)

Baja Bowl

I arrived on a Tuesday afternoon during lunch hours. It wasn't crowded upon my arrival. I ordered the Baja bowl without the corn and bean salsa. It was very delicious and refreshing. Once I mixed it all together it did have a little spice. You have the option of adding the free focaccia bread. The lemonades are really good I mixed all 3 together. The ambiance kind of reminds me of the seating area in chipotle.

Consistent good, hearty and cleaner food for a reasonable price. The service has been good when I've been here so no complaints. I've tried their sandwiches, soups and bowls. This time I had the ahi tuna bowl - it was pretty good. I added some lemon to it because it needs a little more flavor.

Came in for a late solo lunch date since I was at the shopping center. Been wanting to stop by for a while since I live nearby. I'm not a huge chain restaurant person, but this spot has very reasonable pricing for what you get. I paid around $17 for my meal and an agua Fresca fountain drink. I had the Californian sandwich which was very yummy, as someone who loves artichokes. There's plenty of vegetarian options here which is great, and the customer service was also excellent. I only waited about 5 minutes for my food. I'll stop here again!

chimichurri steak sandwich

I saw that there was a discount on the chimichurri steak sandwich on uber eats so I decided to give it a try! I chose pickup as I was in the area and my order was done by the estimated time. the parking lot is pretty small and there are multiple businesses in the same plaza so finding parking was quite stressful. cars were waiting for people to leave and grabbed the spots right away. luckily, I found a spot but as I got in my car to leave, there was already someone waiting for my spot. there is a parking structure for the entire shopping area close by but it is not free after a certain amount of time (I'm not sure if it's an hr) I went inside and the worker was very helpful and went to grab my order from the pickup shelf (that I didn't see at first) for me! it was a small gesture but I thought that was very nice of him. it was a Tuesday afternoon (~3pm) and the place was somewhat empty. it is a large place so they had ample seating available inside and outside! moving onto the sandwich: the chimichurri steak was actually delicious! I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did since the flavors sounded a bit unusual to me (cranberry chimichurri sauce & feta w steak??). after the first bite, I couldn't get enough and devoured the whole sandwich relatively quickly. it was extremely flavorful and everything went together really well! I was considering customizing the sandwich (removing feta and replacing the aioli with another one), but wanted to try it as originally intended and I am SO glad I did! only downside was the meat was a bit on the chewier side but I was fine with that as it's not a high end steakhouse. the side salad was small but I appreciated that it came with the sandwich. the vinaigrette was a bit overpowering at first but I ended up liking it as I ate more of it! overall solid meal and I would definitely be back to try their other items!

The rib meat can be removed with chopsticks ! And the most tenderness of protein. The kimchi cabbage and radishes are so delicious. Spicy but not kickass (ok for me) biting into sweetness I've never tasted anywhere in the world that serves K-ramen. At Joy, Ku delivers a menu of Taiwanese fast-casual fare similar to its sister restaurant (and Michelin-recognized) Pine & Crane. Here, the modern menu of Americanized Taiwanese comfort food feels infinitely more approachable than the dense novels at traditional Chinese banquet halls. Joy is set up on a busy corner of York. Enter to join the queue before a backlit menu board. The cold salad selection is illuminated within the trim deli case. Sturdy wooden stools are pressed up against two-seater tables, while a cushioned half-booth runs along the back wall. Vaguely rural pan-Asian knick-knacks decorate the off-white walls. As the sun sets, the warm lighting feels infinitely more moody. The loud chatter, dance music, and clanging of metal silverware feel more like a bar than a fast-casual Chinese restaurant. My finacee and I visited for an early weekend dinner, and we arrived to a full house. We kicked off our meal with a slice of Sesame Scallion Bread. The puffy triangle was a cross between a hoagie bun and a King's Hawaiian roll. It was neutral and dry by itself, but we enjoyed pairing it with chili oil. Across the rotating sides, we were drawn to the Wood Ear Mushroom and Lotus Root salads. Of the two, we preferred the chewy, oily 'shrooms, but the apple-like texture of the chili lotus root slowly grew on me. My fiancee's favorite dish was the Thousand Layer Pancake with egg and cheese. The piping-hot rolls achieved the crispy-yet-oily combo that most fried dishes only hope to reach. Lastly, the Dan Dan Noodles were creamy but lacked depth of flavor. The Jidori chicken supplement was fine, but I found myself wanting spicy mala and minced pork. The service team worked together like clockwork, and the bill approached $40. Broadly, Joy felt like an Americanized, vegetarian-friendly take on Chinese comfort food. The entire meal was generally enjoyable, and my fiancee firmly swore that Joy exceeded her experience at Pine & Crane. Nonetheless, the flavors and textures (while familiar to the American palate) felt subdued; I'll be more likely to stick to the SGV stalwarts in the future.
