Garlic and basil, chicken sandwich with basil pasta side
Hyd F.

Always fresh and homemade delicious sandwiches and pasta salad at stone oven. I got the chicken garlic and pasta

Chicken bone inside the sandwich
Truth I.

Honestly this place has gone down hill real fast I've been coming here ever since it opened and it has never been as awful as it was today. First off lets move past the fact that they have gotten incredibly cheap over the past few years. Everything is in to go packaging and portions have gotten less and less over the years. I paid $53 for 3 sandwiches that come with a side and drinks normally it wouldn't be an issue but today I bite into the sandwich and immediately get hit with a chicken bone. The chicken is normally shredded better and it just looked like someone got lazy and just ripped it up and threw it on there. The person working the register was extremely nice so that's the only reason why I didn't go back to complain but this was just insane I have never been as disappointed as I was today if your gonna charge $13 for a sandwich then you can probably afford to give normal food and bring back the old stone oven.

Asian Chicken Salad with Tuna instead of Chicken
Angel R.

I came to the mall ready for dinner after a day at the park. I ended up substituting the chicken for tuna with the Asian Chicken Salad and it was a great decision! Service was a bit off-putting but the food made up for it. The bread was so soft and made the giant salad so filling and worth the bang for the buck. There was more than enough seating at the food court and parking around 5pm. I'd definitely come back!

Menu

I was in the Westfield Sherman Oaks mall running errands when my hunger pangs started up. I was near the food court so I went in and found Stone Oven. I like this place because they have filling sandwich options. I have dietary restrictions so when they're able to, they accommodate them (which I greatly appreciate). I ordered the BBQ Chicken Sandwich (protein style) and a side Caesar Salad (they have really good Caesar dressing). The chicken is shredded and has BBQ sauce with beans and corn and melted cheese. When I received my meal, I noticed the portions were smaller which is why I deducted 1 star. You do receive one free fountain drink refill with your meal. The food was still satisfying. I ate it all and left full and ready to finish my errands. If you're in this mall, and are in the mood for a sandwich, check them out.

Hot chicken sandwich

The food tasted great but they got our order wrong twice I got the Hot chicken Sandwich and the sandwich was not even spicy I asked for no beans and got beans in my sandwich.

What a great suggestion for a breakfast restaurant from Yelp!…read more This spacious yet cozy restaurant was a perfect spot to relax with my family and enjoy a delicious meal. The atmosphere and decor are fun, clean, and inviting. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and hardworking. The Latin music softly playing overhead was soothing and pleasant. The food was perfectly prepared and delicious! Each dish was flavorful and fresh. My family and I ordered a garden omelette with fruit, a two-egg breakfast, and penne pasta. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor dining, and the restrooms were clean. As we finished our breakfast, a band was setting up to perform on the outdoor patio. Live music is performed here free of charge for guests several times a week, both during the day and in the evenings. Parking is limited, with perhaps ten spots in total; however, street parking is available. We definitely plan to return here soon.

I am a huge fan of Sweet Green restaurants for having a good variety of vegan options and being…read moreaffordable priced. While in the area for a workout, I found myself famished and decided to stop here for a quick bite to take home with me. I ordered a bowl to go and it was made promptly although the order didn't end up being completely correct. I ordered a create your own bowl with some wild rice and kale, cucumbers, apples, chickpeas and sweet potatoes. I had also ordered the spicy cashew dressing and pesto vinaigrette but in place of the pesto vinaigrette I was given hot sauce. I double checked the order slip that was placed on the package and it was marked with both dressings, so I know the mistake wasn't on my end. Regardless, all of the veggies were very fresh and the dressing and hot sauce were very flavorful. Everything was portioned well and the meal was very hearty. It was also packaged in a way that made it easy to take with me to go. They have a lovely spacious outdoor patio that I would have loved to sit on, especially since it was a gorgeous day out. The inside and exterior of the restaurant was also very clean and tidy and bright. The service was friendly but it was busy when I came, so it felt like they were very rushed. Parking was very easy in their giant lot that they share with Amazon Fresh and a few other businesses.

The salads when we got them home were just about inedible. The actual "greens" were OK, I guess. But: -the dressings sucked...bad tastes and so sweet. -both of us bit into chicken pieces that had the crunchy cartilage part. This is BASIC for any restaurant serving chicken... no Crunchy Cartilage Parts! -the assembly line preparation looks like it could be kind of cool and efficient if all the elements were crazy good. Like Chipotle back in the day. But this looked like what it was... children dipping their ladles into not so great-looking bins of ingredients. (The kid serving us was actually quite nice and personable.) -I went and looked at the calories, fats, carbs, etc (online)( and was not impressed. Not how I want to use up that 755 calories for a salad. I predict this place will be gone within a few months of the new Whole Foods going into this complex. I'm so bummed... I just wanted a decent place to grab a decent salad that is walking distance from my house.

While we waited, I got us water, and because we were catching up, it took us about 15 minutes before we were ready to order. We both ordered iced coffees. I ordered the steak and eggs (medium with scrambled eggs), and my friend ordered the huevos rancheros. Around noon, the lunch rush started, and that's pretty much the last we saw of our waitress. Someone else brought our food, and I immediately noticed two issues. First, the eggs were overcooked. The presentation is beautiful, but it's not practical. They serve the eggs in a cast-iron skillet, which continues cooking delicate foods like eggs after they leave the kitchen. Before I even flipped them over, I could tell from the bubbles on top that they had overcooked. Sure enough, the bottom was browned and overdone. Then I cut into my steak. I ordered it medium, but it came out well done. It was tough enough that it took effort just to cut through it. After finally flagging someone down, my waitress returned, and I explained the problem. She asked me to hand back the entire serving board so they could remake the steak. That honestly surprised me. The only issue was the steak, so I simply moved my toast onto the board and handed her the plate instead. It was a small interaction, but it made me feel like the staff lacked experience handling situations like this. The replacement steak was much better, and I genuinely enjoyed the potatoes and the garlic butter that came with the meal. Unfortunately, the service never recovered. From the time our food arrived until we left around 1 p.m., nobody checked on our table, refilled our water, offered more coffee, or brought the check. It was frustrating because I saw our waitress walk around with water for other tables but didn't come to us at all. I eventually had to flag down another employee, who apologized, offered us water to go, and brought the check. Ironically, that's when our original waitress finally came back saying she'd bring it. Whether it was poor communication between staff or simply inattentive service, I honestly don't know. I usually prefer speaking with a manager directly rather than leaving a negative review, but getting anyone's attention was difficult enough that by the end of the meal I was simply ready to leave. I really wanted to like this place. The restaurant is beautiful, and it's easy to see why it's become popular on Instagram. Unfortunately, it felt like the focus was on creating an aesthetic experience rather than a great dining experience. For two people, the bill came to about $65 before tip, and it just didn't live up to the hype. The food alone is a 3-star experience, but the service is ultimately why I'm giving this restaurant 2 stars. A note for management: I'd strongly reconsider both staff training and how certain dishes are served. There's no practical reason to serve scrambled eggs in a cast-iron skillet when the residual heat continues cooking them after they leave the kitchen. Just as importantly, servers should be ensuring the entire dining experience is enjoyable not just taking an order and disappearing until it's time to drop off the food. Guests shouldn't have to flag someone down for refills or even the check. If you're looking for a trendy brunch spot with great photo opportunities, you'll probably enjoy it. If you're looking for thoughtful cooking, attentive service, and a restaurant where execution matches the presentation, I'd skip this one.

We paid $68 for two salads and an order of fries, which felt overpriced for the quality and portions. What really stood out, however, was the customer service. I visited with my mother and my toddler son. Since my son wasn't going to eat fried food, I bought him a fruit smoothie from a neighboring business. While we were already in line paying for our order, the owner or manager approached us and informed us that outside food and drinks were not allowed because the restaurant is kosher. Although he said he would make an exception this one time, he approached us again while we were waiting outside for our food. We had chosen to sit outside because the restaurant was crowded, loud, and stuffy inside. Despite us not causing any issues, he again insisted that the smoothie could not be on the premises and began explaining that his license could be suspended due to association rules. We politely told him it wasn't a problem and decided to take our food to go. I understand businesses have policies, but the way the situation was handled felt unnecessarily confrontational, especially considering the drink was for a toddler and we had already spent nearly $70 at the restaurant. Between the mediocre food, high prices, and rude customer service, I would not return. There are plenty of better dining options in the area.
