One of the items in my recent order was a salad and honey mustard dressing. Avocado dressing was mistakenly placed in my bag as noted by the associate that brought it to me as I was parked in the no. 1 curbside parking space. She kindly said that she would go back and get, not one, but two honey mustard dressing packages for me. Everything else in my order was correct. She brought the two packages out and I headed home. When I got home and took everything out of the bag and looked carefully at the items, I noticed that the honey mustard was an unusual color, darker than it normally would be. Close examination of the packages revealed that the expiration date on each was January 2026. This order was placed on March 12, 2026, 2 months after the expiration date. My concern: what other foods are you providing to your customers that are past the expiration date? I see that there are no responses from management in the lower rated Yelp reviews; however, maybe the corporate office takes a look at these, as well as the reviews that are offered through the app, and perhaps they will reach out to this location's management to demand improvement in their service and quality. I'm not sure what is going on with Chick-fil-A. This is not the only location where I have had an issue with an order. But this location is the newest in the San Fernando Valley, and two out of my three times ordering from this location, I have had issues. Normally I would use the feedback feature on the app to respond to an issue. However, it appears that it is Chick-fil-A's policy to give a quick in-app reward to customers to appease them, instead of also making a note of their mistakes and trying to improve. I stopped by this Chick-Fil-A for a quick afternoon snack. I had been waiting for a while since it first opened, so I was excited to check it out. On this visit, I had their large waffle fries with Chick-Fil-A sauce and a chocolate cookie. The chocolate cookie was super sweet, but the texture was neither brittle nor chewy. The waffle fries were such a sad serving. (They didn't even touch the top of the container!) This Chick-Fil-A is definitely much better designed than any other ones that I've been to. They have EV charging stations and a great setup, that makes it feel like a touch of Corky's when it was still around... Not sure if they also have a secret bar/speakeasy here where you can enjoy karaoke, live bands, open mics or libations... Dan Cathy, chairman of the board and former CEO donates money to anti-lgbt organizations and therefore we don't support, but you do you. Located on Van Nuys Blvd and Hesby Street next to Burger King and across from the Van Nuys Sherman Oaks Park + Adult Center. 06/25/2026 @ 12:00 noon I treated my neighbor to her first Chic-fil--A meal, she chose the #1 combo with unsweetened tea. I ordered Cob salad with unsweetened tea. Everything was delicious and served quickly. There was a person (forgot her name) cruising the dining room, clearing tables and checking to see if the guest needed anything. In the end, She refilled our teas and cleared our trays while we sat and talked. My neighbor enjoyed the experience and will return soon. read more

I came to the new Chick-fil-A in Sherman Oaks on a Friday night and pre-ordered my food on the Chick-fil-A app, anticipating that parking might be tricky or the drive-through line might be long. I waited nearby until my order was ready and to my surprise, there was no line (and no drive-through) and very few people for a Friday night especially since this is the first Chick-fil-A on this side of the city. I went inside and waited a couple of minutes for my order, which was a two-piece chicken tender and a side kale salad. When they called my order, I looked in the bag and noticed that the four sauces I requested were missing. The manager checked the side of my bag and said, "Yeah, it's in there," but when I showed him by removing the salad and flipping the chicken strips bag, it was clear the sauces weren't included. He then tried to grab my bag, insisting he needed to take it back to add the sauces. I didn't understand why he couldn't just bring me the sauces separately it felt unnecessarily rude. All in all, I still like Chick-fil-A, but I didn't appreciate his rudeness. For context, this happened Friday night, December 12, around 9 PM, and the manager wore glasses. I'm calling him out because I thought the interaction was unprofessional. That said, the new location itself is great, there's plenty of parking and the interior feels charming and more upscale compared to other Chick-fil-A locations. They are 3 for 3 when it comes to incompetence and messing up my order. The first two times I ordered a shake to go and waited nearly 20 minutes before finally asking someone what was going on, only for them to realize it had been sitting there ready for handoff most of that time. The third visit was curbside pickup for chicken nuggets and a frosted soda. The handoff itself was quick, but I was already driving away when I realized they had forgotten my sauce and had not included a straw or spoon. Basic stuff. Corporate needs to step in and do a full staff retraining. This level of dysfunction is embarrassing, especially given that this location took over Corky's, one of the few remaining pieces of beautiful midcentury Googie architecture in the area. They do not have a drive-thru, only curbside if you want to order from your car. I placed a curbside order 10 minutes before I arrived. When I pulled into a parking spot, the app said my food would be out in a maximum of 8 minutes. I waited another 10 minutes. I finally got out of my car to ask what was going on with my order, and the employee acted like I was wrong for getting out to check. I told him I had already waited longer than the time the app promised. He looked around for my order and said it would be out soon. For a company that is known for its excellent customer service, this newer location needs work. I've dined in twice and will probably not return. During both visits, the staff was inattentive and seemed to be more interested in chatting amongst themselves rather than assisting customers. When I approached the counter to ask about my dine-in order placed via the app today (a single ice cream cone ordered 15 minutes prior), one of the employees asked if I wanted a drink refill after a short wait and I said no to the refill, but he walked away before I had the chance to finish my sentence. There were a smattering of customers, but it did not appear busy and there were at least 5-6 employees who conveniently ignored my presence engrossed in their own conversation. I finally flagged down the shift manager, but even she seemed prepared to walk past me without offering assistance or even making eye contact until I approached her. The parking lot is also terrible (tight spaces designed for compact cars that even my Corolla doesn't fit into). Despite this being the closest location to my home, I'd rather drive further to get better service. Disappointing. read more

I visited the new Chick-fil-A Van Nuys location this evening. This is a very nice location. There was plenty of parking. And the dining room was quite spacious. It had a retro 50s feel to it. The employees were amazingly nice. Everyone seemed to be keeping busy. My only other time in a Chick-fil-A was June of 2025. And I felt a bit cheated by not getting enough fries. Ordered on the app and picked parking pick up order but the app said go to inside pick up area. I let employee who came outside know--He said no worries "I'll bring it out to you" ... I waited and app said order ready... he never brought it to me. I walked all the way inside. Let the cashier know my order is for daniel c. They literally stop and talk with trays of food in their hands. 12 kids working back there and none of them are focused. So over constantly coming back to get the order right. This is not your traditional Chick-fil-A. It's built into the old diner space that used to occupy this location and Chick-fil-A has done a great job in maintaining it's aesthetics rather than tear down and build up a paper cutter location. While it's a benefit for them to respect the architecture of Los Angeles, the location does come with some tradeoffs. As has been mentioned, there is no drive-thru at this location so pre-orders on the app are served via curbside service. However, there aren't enough parking spaces for curbside service or people just disregard the signs and park there for dine-in service. I appreciate them offering EV charging as an option, but again those spots are not reserved or observed by patrons or in the case when I went by the CHP. Also, like its been mentioned, there are still some kinks to the curbside service. The turnaround time is slow so whatever time the app gives you, add 10 minutes to it. Overall, there are tradeoffs for building into the historic space that I'm okay with, but if you're looking for a fast food experience, you might want to look elsewhere, however at some point they will need to address the turnaround time off their curbside service or they will start to lose customers. read more

If I can give this experience a zero I definitely would. I'm adding a picture of my order so they can remember. I placed a mobile order at 8:30 PM. I did not get my order until 9:20 PM. Kept on being told that the order was not showing up in their system and that they needed to look into it. I patiently waited 20 minutes after several attempts to go to the mobile order area, they kept on saying that they could not find the order and that they were going to give me my order. I got my order incomplete had to go back to get my side salad. I just got home. I had placed an order for the chicken tortilla soup. I got chicken noodle soup I did not get the honey packets, but I got the honey mustard. I know the employees know who disorder belongs to and decided to make sure that my order was getting incorrect while maintaining as much as composure as I could. This is the most ridiculous fast food place I've been to. If you look at the structure of the building, you can see it had a drive through before. It even had a pick up window but not a drive through. On top of that, half the parking is reserved for curb side orders, not pick up, but orders. So you can order at the window then go and wait in ur car. SOMEONE MAKE THAT MAKE SENSE!!!! The line inside is super long and the parking is full. I had already maybe ate at chick filet 2 times because I don't like how they pick and choose the humans they support. I thought people of god don't judge ‍...anyway this was the icing. I refused to follow asinine instructions and drove away. As someone who lives nearby, I was excited to finally have a Chick-fil-A in the area and gave it several chances before saying anything. On my most recent visit, I ordered curbside. The wait time was fine, but the food was overcooked and the sauces were incorrect. On previous visits, I experienced wait times of around 20-30 minutes for fairly simple orders. The inside looks nice, but the layout feels a bit awkward when waiting, especially when the restaurant is busy. It also CLEAR many employees are new. While that's understandable, more support and training could help improve consistency and efficiency. Chick-fil-A is usually known for being well-run, so this location has room to improve. read more
