I grew up eating this in Glendale. So happy they have one near me in Sherman oaks. I visit about 1-2 times a week. Staff is always nice and food comes out fast. Prices are fair. Ambiance is casual. Get hot wings, extra crispy with curly fries. I haven't tried anything else on the menu because this is what they're known for

I decided to try out this new spot the Hot Wings Cafe. I've eaten a few times before in this same location when it was a 50's diner. The decor is much more modern, spacious and very clean. There are sufficient flat panel television monitors properly tuned for the sports enthusiast. My two servers were quick to get me seated and take care of my order. I asked for the Spicy Chicken Works. As soon as I took one bite, I was temporarily blinded by the avalanche of flavors. That was when I realized my eyes had rolled all the way to the back of my head. It was sooooo good. You cannot die before trying this dish. If the morticians shows up at your door to pick you up, tell them "Hold on a minute. I gotta try that meal VJ told me about at Hot Wings Cafe. After that, I'll be ready to take that ride."

    Extra crispy Lemon pepper wings

Food was fantastic. Ordered an 8 piece combo, all flats, extra crispy, lemon pepper and LOOK AT THAT CRISP! Fried to perfection and the service was great also.

    Fried Zucchini so good!

They have a large dinning area with both booths and tables. Great for large groups. Sports on all TV's which are a good size and easy to view from any seat. Now for the food. My husband and I love their hot wings. The flavor is great! The wings are the perfect texture. They have a huge menu so you can definitely get more than just wings. They have burgers, sandwiches and more. We also had their fried zucchini and OMG! They are by far the best we've ever hard! They are nice and firm unlike most others that get to mushie. Their veggie plates are so yummy and crispy. The wait staff is great. Rene in particular is beyond spectacular! We will never go without a refill on your drink. He is on it! The only drawback I've ever had is the restroom can be better taken care of.

First timer and was really disappointed. For a place with hot wings in their name, I expected to be blown away. Ordered the hot wings and lemon pepper and they were super small and definitely could've used more sauce. The service was pretty good though and was clean inside.

I called in a pick up order and the lovely lady over the phone was Liana. I called in an order and called again 2 times after adding more to my order. And of course I felt bad for having to call over and over again, but Liana made me feel like it wasn't a problem at all. She was kind and felt genuine. To me that was already a good sign. I came in and my food was HOT AND READY. Liana was such a joy to speak too. She was kind and generous and it's rare to come up on that. This was the type of connection I wanted to get from a food that was my favorite. THEY HAVE THE BEST DEALS ON BONE IN CHICKEN I SWEAR. I can't find anywhere with a better deal than them! And when I finally tasted the food, WOW. They definitely are no wingstop, and dare I say it surpasses it completely! Wings are big in size and cooked perfectly with crispy skin and juicy meat. And not to mention the flavors! I got the classic favorites: Garlic Parmesan, Lemon Pepper and Orginal Hot. And wow, you can taste the differences in sauces they make compared to other places I've tasted. It's saucy and not dry. Each wing is covered in flavor. I also got their garlic fries which was packed with garlic herb flavor. Chic Wings did not disappoint and I'm ready to come back and try their other flavors!

There's music that's lively without being overbearing, and the staff is uniformly friendly. But... You have to order at the bar and, though they have runners to bring your food, you do have to hunt them down for anything after the delivery (extra ketchup, etc). While this isn't my favorite system at my age, to be fair, whatever the owners are saving on staff is reflected in the prices, which are absolutely below most places in the area for food that is good-quality and drinks that are generously poured. So yes, my wife's Espresso Martini was served in a deep-bellied Belgium beer glass, and my whiskey neat was a hefty pour. Yay!! For food, I ordered the Smash Burger, which is served with melted American, grilled onions and the house version of Russian dressing (as well as pickles, which I deleted). The burgers had a nice, smashed crust while remaining juicy, the cheese was properly melted, and the grilled onions had a terrific caramelized sweetness, while the house sauce was very well-balanced: ketchupy and creamy without being too mayonnaise-heavy. A very good smasher. My wife ordered the Big Texan Burger because she wanted cheddar and frizzled onions and BBQ sauce, though she deleted the bacon and pork belly that are normally included. This, too, was a very good burger: cooked to a proper and pleasing medium-rare and well-seasoned, with a good, fresh flavor to the beef. The onion rings were less successful, which are of the beer batter type, but seemed to be a commercial, frozen product. The coating was browned but not crisp, and the flavor was relatively nondescript. We didn't really eat them, and wouldn't order them again. And so, to me, The Tipsy Cow is a bit of a mixed bag: reasonably priced decent food and reasonably priced, generously-poured drinks -- but in a mostly self-serve environment that incrementally loses its appeal in relation to your age and your dining circumstances. Certainly worth a try, but you've gotta be in the right mood.

Walked in yesterday around 5pm and stood there for like 10 minutes & no one greeted me since there was no hostess. After 10 minutes of waiting I had to get someone's attention and it was Bruce once again. He took me to my booth and was ready to take my order. I ordered their smash burger that came with 2 patties, 2 slices American Cheese, pickles, lettuce, tomato, asked for no mustard and easy on the mayo. Got a side of fries and also asked him no SALT on anything. That's exactly what I got. I also got their Espresso Tiny Caramel Signature cocktail drink & water. Food was made to perfection and was very delicious. So was my drink. Shoutout to Olivia who made my drink. Restaurant was somewhat clean and what I have noticed is that Bruce was doing everybody's job since it was a slow night. Later noticed few more employees popped up out of nowhere. Big, lots of booths/tables all around with a full bar! They also had a nicely sized patio. There were too many TVs all around which was a bit distracting to me. Sports, sports & more sports. Conveniently located inside the Sherman Oaks Galleria and has an underground parking shared with so many businesses. Food was a bit pricy for the portion and the size of the cocktail. I made it a combo and also ordered the hot lemon pepper wings. Wasn't mad about my food. It kept my tastebuds occupied for the England v France bronze game. The portions, for what I paid...I'll accept. The cheesesteak landscape in LA is still a small neighborhood. You got the mall chain, the imported-from-Philly chain (my fave), and the indie complex, where Jawny's and a handful of other developing entities reside. LA loves a good hot, chopped sandwich and businesses will continue to showcase their take on the east coast institution. Even fast service megas, like Jack in the Crack and Arby's, are making sure they can ride the cheesesteak wave. Did Jawny's keep up with my favorite? Not so much. Not with the classic. I'm not even sure what was so proprietary about the house made Wiz. And the overall value made the original steak feel like more of a hyped, boutique version of the cheesteak. It just wasn't substance-forward. But this restaurant will technically be more accessible than the carwash pop-up was, and that counts in my hemisphere. To be honest, I see myself ordering their wings more often, as a closer alternative to Wingstop. Ultimately, Jawny's is middle of the road for me. Seems it'll be passible food that I can stand to pay for some of the time. But congratulations on a place to call your own, y'all! That much, for sure, deserves a salute.

Like, the kind of service where you actually feel welcomed and not rushed or awkward for asking questions. The staff was super patient and took the time to really explain the menu and walk me through all the different spice levels, which I appreciated so much. I had questions about the menu and especially about the spice levels, and instead of rushing me or giving short answers, they took the time to fully explain everything. They broke down what each heat level feels like, how intense it is, and even gave honest recommendations depending on spice tolerance. You could tell they actually care about making sure customers enjoy their food, not just pushing orders out. I ended up ordering the Kluckin Tenders and decided to go all in by trying every spice level they offer: No Heat, Kluckin Mild, Kluckin Hot, and Kluckin Fire. Starting with No Heat, i tried the og tender to see how it was alone without any spice because I'm quite the chicken tender connoisseur haha. I was honestly surprised by how flavorful it still was. The tenders were crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and seasoned really well. Even without spice, nothing tasted bland or boring, which says a lot about the quality of the chicken and seasoning. Kluckin Mild was a nice step up. It had some heat, enough to let you know it's there without being overpowering. This felt like a perfect everyday option -- flavorful, balanced, and very easy to enjoy. Kluckin Hot is where the heat really starts to kick in. It definitely made me slow down, but I loved that the flavor was still there. It wasn't just spicy for the sake of being spicy. You could still taste the seasoning and the chicken, which is something a lot of places get wrong. And then there's Kluckin Fire. This one is no joke. It looks like it would absolutely obliterate my taste buds. It definitely looks scarier than it is! The heat builds fast and lingers, and the staff definitely wasn't exaggerating when they warned me about it! That being said, it's still well made. This flavor actually ended up being my favorite! If you're someone who actually enjoys serious spice, you'll appreciate this level. It's intense, but it feels intentional. I also have to talk about the sides! The coleslaw was actually really good. Fresh, super crunchy, and well balanced. Not overly mayo-heavy or soggy like a lot of places do it. It had just the right amount of creaminess that helped cool things down between bites, especially when working my way through the hotter spice levels. It paired perfectly with the tenders and was honestly a lifesaver once I got to Kluckin Hot and Kluckin Fire. The crinkle cut fries were another highlight. Super crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and perfectly seasoned. The crinkle cut shape made them extra satisfying, and they held up really well even as I took my time eating. They weren't greasy or limp at all! Which is always a plus. Dipping them in their kluckin sauce was so addictive. (Absolutely must have this with your meal here) Seriously, can we please bottle this sauce?! Overall, this place just does everything right. Great food, real spice options, and customer service that makes you want to come back. It's rare to find a spot where the staff is both knowledgeable and genuinely kind, and it makes a huge difference. If you're a hot chicken fan or someone who likes exploring different spice levels, this place is absolutely worth a visit. I'll definitely be coming back and already recommending it to friends. Thanks so much for having me!!

We paid $68 for two salads and an order of fries, which felt overpriced for the quality and portions. What really stood out, however, was the customer service. I visited with my mother and my toddler son. Since my son wasn't going to eat fried food, I bought him a fruit smoothie from a neighboring business. While we were already in line paying for our order, the owner or manager approached us and informed us that outside food and drinks were not allowed because the restaurant is kosher. Although he said he would make an exception this one time, he approached us again while we were waiting outside for our food. We had chosen to sit outside because the restaurant was crowded, loud, and stuffy inside. Despite us not causing any issues, he again insisted that the smoothie could not be on the premises and began explaining that his license could be suspended due to association rules. We politely told him it wasn't a problem and decided to take our food to go. I understand businesses have policies, but the way the situation was handled felt unnecessarily confrontational, especially considering the drink was for a toddler and we had already spent nearly $70 at the restaurant. Between the mediocre food, high prices, and rude customer service, I would not return. There are plenty of better dining options in the area.
