The three stars is for the assumption that their other subs aren't as terrible as the Steak and Cheese Melt. $20 got me a soda, bag of chips, and an 8" sub. The bread had nothing going for it, and while there wasn't much steak, I was surprised that there was virtually no peppers or onions considering those have to be significantly cheaper to provide than meat and cheese. I love the Italian sub and the meatball sub. They can make the bread garlic bread too like cmon that's a hell yea from me dawg. There's a golden fire hydrant in there that is not the greatest shade of gold. It reminds me of dogs pissing on fire hydrants. It's endearing in a way. Stopped by today and everything tasted good my only complain was i got the steak and cheese sub and it's was completely cold. My drive from when I got it was 4 mins max we even ate in the car to be able to eat it before it got soggy. So this is my second time ordering in two days. Decided to try them after remembering various commercials in the past and seeing them show up on DoorDash when I was looking for food. Have to say, this is really good! Mediums are the perfect size so I'm not sure what kind of monster a large is (little scared to find out). I've had the grilled chicken, the tuna and the turkey bacon and ranch. All of these are amazing, the bread is that perfect blend between nice crunch on a cold roll and soft but held together on a hot roll. The chicken was grilled perfectly with no weird bites (you know what I'm talking about), with the right blend of cheese and perfect ratio of mayo. I did remove the onions and mustard just as a preference. The turkey is sliced so thin and evenly layered with cheese, the bacon is not something I get so I removed it but had a few bites. Thin bacon and well seasoned but it was lacking in crunch and just not for me. The Tuna has an amazing bite to it that I haven't tasted in others of its kind. Honestly my family is sold on this. My only hang ups here are mostly personal, the Mac and cheese is runny and made with a white cheddar, I do t particular like white cheddar and I like I cheese thick. But this is a personal matter between MAC enthusiasts. The pickle spear is my other, is the right texture but the sourness is off for me. I prefer a hard snap and tang vs a soft and milder taste. You should change the name to PICKLE HOUSE SUBS. You have an option on your app for "no pickle" which I checked. I even added notes "NO PICKLE SPEAR." Not giving a 1 star because: - They had a sign stating they were short staffed (although there were 4 employees and 1 manager). - Sandwich was acceptable; first time there, but not my preference. - Clearly inexperienced personnel; hopefully somewhat new. They deserve 1 star because: - Had water slowly dripping from roof, creating a puddle in front of chip rack. I notified them when I ordered, sounded like message was relayed to a manager, but was never taken care of the 20+ minutes I was there. Manager actually immediately left after I brought it up. Safety has to be +1. - Guy with medium length hair should be wearing a hat like all the ladies were. - I was second in line when I ordered, one person behind me. Five minutes went by until about a dozen people got in line and ordered. Four separate orders were placed after mine and 3 of those immediately got their food; clearly wasn't a call in or online order, yet their orders were slipped into the online rack ahead of my order, and the one order ahead of mine. These people were +4, +5, +7, & +3 in line. +3 actually went up to ask for an update and they told him his sandwich had just been sitting there. He was pissed...which made me ask about mine. - Like I mentioned earlier, 20+ minutes for one medium sandwich with 3 people making sandwiches. No other online orders were picked up at this time, so they weren't making those. Management/Owner, you have to do better. There were at least a dozen of us there pretty disappointed with it all. Hopefully no one slips in that water and sues you.
