Where we can sit down to a nice meal for those of us we're struggling to survive places like Dennys give us a safe place with good food and I have to tell you this is one of the most delicious side salad I've ever seen and boy is it good the cherry tomatoes, juicy fresh crunchy, cucumbers delicious blue cheese dressing, what a dream!! But I had to do the chicken tenders meal with a side of tartar. I loved it. Chicken tenders are seasoned perfectly in the fries nonstop perfect. Sometimes Dennys can be very appealing opening 24 hrs. Specially this location next to Van Nuys Airport. The manager greets us right away and assists us with our favorite drinks and milk shakes. Hello, this is my review of Denny's. I have not visited a Denny's for nearly 7 years due to a not so pleasant experience in past, however I wanted to try their new special afterlife menu inspired by the movie Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. We ordered the Beetlejuicy Burger, Afterlife Melt and a side of mac n cheese! I was surprised by how juicy the burger truly was and the melt was delicious! The fries were okay, could be crisper. One of the fries were supposed to be seasoned, however they did not come out as we ordered. The mac n cheese was not the best. The waitress was nice so I appreciated that. I was at this location last night after party and our waiter was very gracious and attentive. I had sausage, bacon,scrambled eggs and hash brown and pancakes on the side with coffee since it was very late at night and had to stay awake. Was seated immediately. The waitress Carmen on the other hand did not take our order after we ordered waters. I had to go and tell the seating host that we've been waiting 20 minutes on Carmen to take our orders. She was very helpful with all the other tables around us though. Even the customers that came after us were seated with their drinks and meals served within 15 minutes of them arriving. We waited another 30 minutes to get our breakfast. It was just a simple grand slam breakfast. We ended up just walking out after waiting a total of 1 hour to get our food and any service. This is a horrible Denny's. I go to many of them frequently and never have issues except at this one. I just went in tonight and the manager came to my table and said the server recognized me from my last time coming in ordering a burger and not paying for it. That is ridiculous I have never done such a thing and cannot even remember the last time I got a burger there. In my last four times coming by I got turkey, breakfast twice, and chicken once. Prior to that I cannot remember but to accuse a loyal customer in such an embarrassing and poorly thought out way is exactly the kind of insane customer service I have come to expect that leads me to take the drive to the Reseda or Victory Blvd locations instead. This place always smells like cleaning fluid when you walk in, ruining your appetite. They hide the $2-$4-$6-$8-$10 menu from you to get you to order more expensive items. They don't let you use any outlets to charge anything because they say they're afraid you'll sue if there is a surge. And tonight I learned they will accuse you of dining and dashing with no more evidence than the suspicion of an employee because someone else who they think looked like you did it. What a trash heap. I requested a few items and they may have put their own opinion on what I was receiving but I don't appreciate that because I wanted sugar for my coffee even though they gave me vanilla flavored creamer but it had not enough sugar so I was disappointed. Also requested salt and pepper and did not receive that for my food. My daughter requested ranch for her chicken tenders and they gave her bbq and one tiny dipping for 6 tenders. I ordered food from Denny's on 1-8-25 on the Uber app when I picked up my food it was cold I asked them if they could heat up or make a new order for me because my house was we're the power was out they refused. I then called Uber to get my money back they refused saying cold food was not a reason to return money I even explained why and they all continued to say the same thing so I had to go somewhere else to pick up food $100 later they still have my money and I have no food. I walked in about 11:30PM - there are signs everywhere blasting "We are Open," and "24/7 In-store," as if to remind the non-existent workers that they do in fact have to "work" at work.
