I found parking easily since I came before the lunch rush. When I walked inside, the lady working the counter took my order right away. I got the turkey ranch and bacon sandwich. I also asked for small fries to complete my order. She asked what sauces would I like so I asked for ranch and ketchup which they don't charge extra for. My food didn't take long to make and before I left, I rang the bell to acknowledge the great service I received. The turkey sandwich was good and their fries were crispy along with being delicious. Eventually a whole like 20 minutes later my order comes and she asks "what sauce you want"?and I asks "what do you have"? and she goes "RIGHT THERE' like jeez my apologies for not having the sauce menu memorized. There's parking at the back, and from the front it looks like there's no place to sit but there is in the back (outdoor seating). It's not for super large groups, but I would say up to 10 people. They have falafel, kabobs, and shish- the difference between shish and kabobs is that shish are skewers with pieces and kabobs are the minced meat. I prefer the kabobs because I feel like they're softer. I don't eat beef so between the lamb and chicken, I prefer the chicken here. Falafel was also yummy. On a plate, they give you hummus, rice or potatoes option, protein, pita, veggies (can choose between tomato or pepper or both for extra). They have a variety of sauces - my personal faves are the red sauce and garlic yogurt. I've tried the hot herbal sauce with labneh and this is the spiciest on their menu. It's kind of like a green chili paste, but spice is all it is. It's not really as flavorful as the red pepper sauce which is both spicy and flavorful. One thing to note though is that the service here is pretty slow. I think probably because they need to grill it fresh.

When I arrived at the place, I was the first customer there and they were just about to open. This store location isn't in the best of area and the parking lot isn't in the best of shape either. When I walked inside of the place, the lady who open up just stayed in the back and was helping just the drive thru. So my order wasn't ready at the time I selected and had to wait even longer. It wasn't until another worker walked in and she started to help another customer first who was there to place an order. After she finish with him then she checked on my online order. They didn't even have to make the food, they just had to place it in a box and that was it. So I wasn't happy that I had to wait longer just because of the bad service here. The chicken tenders and fries were okay and the Mac and cheese was fine to me. It's not something I would come for occasionally, the last time I been to a KFC was like years ago. I'm not planning on coming to this location again if I have to.

It's no wonder I've missed it all these years -- but since Yelp already named it their #1 Burger Spot all the way back in 2017, it's clear I'm exceptionally late to a party others have been enjoying quite some time. The differences are obvious the moment you walk in, with a modest but well-kept decor of good quality furnishings feeling far more homey than the usual corner stand. The clientele is a mix of blue collar workers, white collar workers, and retirees, all eating from the surprisingly varied menu. Burgers are the first star you notice, sporting a number of interesting preparations with both American and Korean flare. And it's that Korean flare that's highlighted on the rest of the menu, which features a range of BBQ meats and other specialties served on sizzling platters or in combination bowls. You order at the counter, which allows you a view of the burners with pans of seafood and beef simmering in homemade sauces and giving off an irresistible aroma. But resist them I did, as I'd come in to try their oft-lauded burger. I ordered the Spicy Jalapeño, built with a freshly grilled Angus patty, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, shredded cabbage, fresh (raw) slices of jalapeños, crispy onion rings, and a duet of special sauces: garlic aioli and Korean BBQ. It was a big bite of a burger, held together by a much-appreciated, tightly folded wrapper. But I've gotten slightly ahead of myself. It's important to first note that the burgers are truly made to order, and you wait about 10 minutes for your food to be ready. That's more than okay, because the quality is evident from the first bite. The beef is good; flavorful and cooked to a juicy medium, the cheese properly melted and gooey. The veggies are all fresh, and those sliced jalapeños really packed a punch -- raw is so much better than pickled. On to those special sauces, thankfully NOT another variation of the Russian dressing "burger and fry sauce" that seems relentlessly present everywhere nowadays. Here, they use a garlic aioli that keenly balanced between sweet and spicy (in that garlicky spicy way); they pair that with a sweet, Korean style BBQ, with Asian flavors that cleverly contrast the sweetness of the aioli. Yes, 2 different sweets hitting against the garlic and the jalapeños. In Van Nuys? Come on!! For a little over $5 you make it a combo, with a very generous portion of nicely crispy fries and a 20oz drink. At $16.50, this is a great deal. And all around me, folks were eating the Korean BBQ or chicken, and it all smelled exactly as good as it did when it was simmering on the stove. We've tried a few different items over the years, but the Chicken Korean Fries are our absolute favorite every time. Nothing like it exists. The flavors are bold, layered, slightly sweet, savory, and just combined so deliciously. It's one of those dishes you crave again and again. It's definitely a hole-in-the-wall spot in a small shopping center -- super unassuming -- but don't let that fool you. It's 100% a must-try. Some of the best, most unique food is always hiding in places like this. If you're looking for something different and seriously delicious, put this on your list. We'll keep coming back.

This past weekend I went through the drive-through to get my son a burger and fries and I specified no cheese. The order was correct when she repeated it back to me and when they repeated it at the window, it was correct. But after I got my food and was about to drive away, I even grabbed her attention one more time JUST to make sure, " I know you've already said this twice, but I wanna triple check that there's no cheese on his burger because he is allergic"... to which she replied, " no cheese". When we got home, there was not only cheese on his burger, there was a piece of plastic inside! I was upset about the cheese, but the plastic takes it to a whole new level. Called to let them know, and though they were apologetic about the cheese, I feel like they didn't believe me about the plastic . Maria/Mari (manager) just keep saying how they don't know where it could've come from, the only plastic they have is on their bun package, etc. I have no idea either, but the plastic was there and I don't feel like replacing my son's burger was enough. I went through the trouble of saving the plastic in a baggie and waiting until a manager or owner was at the establishment, but again, it really did not feel like she believed me as she kept saying they don't have any plastic besides the bun wrapping and even compared it against the wrapper in front of me. I have no idea either... but I know I don't frequent food establishments to complain about foreign objects in the food to get a free meal. Sadly, I don't think they handled this situation to the best of their ability and their customer service is greatly lacking, in addition to quality control. We try to support local, but this was a big disappointment.
