Honey lavender latte
Ania N.

Bodevi Wine & Espresso Bar is such a little gem. It's the perfect spot when you want a relaxing vibe but still want good food and drinks. They've got a fun mix of wine/champagne and coffee/espresso drinks, plus easy bites like cold sandwiches, bagels, pastries, and avocado toast (you can add a boiled egg too). The staff is always genuinely sweet, and the music is consistently mellow in the best way never too loud, just a nice background vibe. It feels like the kind of place people come to meet up or get work done (lots of laptops). One note: the internet isn't great unless you're on their WiFi, so definitely connect when you get there. My go-to orders: the loaded avocado toast and the pistachio burrata sandwich both are seriously delicious. Drink-wise, I love the matcha and the lavender honey latte. Only small complaint: I wish they used bigger plates! The toast/sandwiches come on dessert-size plates, so it can get messy because there's barely any room... and they add orange slices which takes up the little space that's left I've had food end up on the table (and my lap) more than once. That said, I keep coming back. Great vibe, great staff, and really tasty food + drinks.

Bodevi is such an adorable coffee and wine spot. The staff is welcoming and friendly. i decided to order their Matcha Latte( so good). i will definitely be coming back to have a glass of wine and cheese board. you don't find these types of places in the SFV that's for sure.

Came here for it was great! Really loved the layout and decor, very nice for having a lunch with friends or to sit and get work done. I love that music is not loud like some cafes. Food is good, i got the classic avocado toast. Service was good as well. Will definitely come by again and try other food and drinks. Also really loved that they had a display of artworks available for purchase and a detailing of the artists that created them, who are also from the San Fernando community.

First time trying this place out, came in for a drink and liked the vibe but the strawberry drink wasn't something I'd come back for. The service was quick and friendly & the ambiance was cute.

Love the coffee here! I usually get the iced caramel latte and it's perfect, but this last time I was there I ordered the pumpkin spice latte of their fall menu. It was so yummy, it tasted so much like fresh pumpkin puree. The ambiance in here is super relaxed, but I have seen on their IG they sometimes put on pretty cool events. The service is also great, the staff is always super friendly. Lots of parking in the back as well, street parking here can be kind of crazy.

Another great San Fernando gem! This cozy yet lively spot offers tea, coffee, wine, pastries and a couple of dishes. I really like how they have a private area within the restaurant making it a great study area or possibly reserving it for an intimate dinner or celebration. I love their prosciutto and pesto sandwich so much that even though I have found a hair on my sandwich 2x I still keep going back for it lol. 4 stars because it's happened on 2 different occasions but staff was very accommodating and offered me a new sandwich.

Upon entering i was met with such a warm inviting environment. Couches and comfy chairs welcome you. I got the turkey sandwich to eat which was filling and good size for the price! We also got the banana chocolate loaf...YUM! So good. I got one of the October flavor specials. The Gizmo midnight latte! Candied Pecan was the flavor of the latte, with candied pecans on top. It was so delicious! Such good espresso shots. The latte was so pleasant to drink. I'd return in a heartbeat if I'm in the area!

I usually come here to study! They have good ass drinks I've gotten the season one called earl grey espresso (Christmas time) , with summer I now have my fave drink The Strawberry Latte -- ITS SOOOO GOOD!!! And to wake urself up you can order their drip coffee which is also great it's just black coffee but you can ask for honey and milk on the side! The salmon lox toast is pretty good. The sandwiches are ok. The service is pretty quick - except busy days usually take 10 mins, ambiance is perfect on slow days to study.

Natalie R.

Great service, cute spots to sit, good ambiance, very creative corners and spots to find a seat. I ate a salmon toast and iced coffee flavor , can't remember but I asked for recommendations.

First time here and I liked the coffee! Love the vibe in here, for a nice relaxing cup of coffee while just having a nice conversation or focused on your computer for work/ school. Conversation level of noise, and quick and fast service. Small menu but for this small coffee shop in the middle of San Fernando "mall" it's just right. Get your caffeine fix here at Bodevi!

One of my favorite coffee shops in the valley! I usually get their hot cafe con miel but today I got the iced earl grey espresso (on left of photo) and my partner got the iced cafe con miel (right of photo). The space is so calm and clean and vibey. And the baristas are so friendly!!

Jalapeño Cheese Bagel

I was so blown away by this spot. I was immediately welcomed by the friendly faces of Brisa and Chelsea. I had the most delicious Maple Sage Latte that was too good that I had to get two. I did spend quite some time there working and was very reproductive. The space gave such a good energy and the staff always making sure you were good. I would 1000% come back.

Oh my, a Honey Lavender Latte? Say less!

After a long and tiring drive back home to SoCal from the Bay Area, Bodevi was just the perfect gem of a coffee stop I needed! Nestled within downtown San Fernando, Bodevi is a uniquely cool coffee roaster's refuge and paradise. We ordered the Honey Lavender Latte and Americano and both were excellent. Perfect amount of sweetness and excellent flavor and coffee. The barista is a solid dude and knows his coffee and was wonderful enough to bring out the drinks to us. I Loved the artsy decor, old records, and plants on display. The shop is clean and tidy and also a peaceful spot to get any work done. If I lived around that area of the San Fernando Valley and not in Orange County, I'd frequently visit this spot haha.

Ask the Community - Bodevi

Is this a good place to bring my laptop and work remotely?

I think this is a good remote work location. I've personally worked from Bodevi and found it enjoyable and easy to focus. There are outlets along the bar and I think by a table in the back. I have not taken meetings here though.

Almond butter, banana, & jam toast: sounds amazing but is there strawberry in the jam? I'm allergic to strawberries.

This has to be one of my favorite bars in the San Fernando Valley. The vibes here are super chill. And I love how they offer free parking in the back. Their chicken chipotle panini with truffle fries is to die for I always find myself craving it. I've had their burgers in the past which are good. Nothing life changing but solid. My favorites are the Brussel sprouts add bacon and Buffalo Chicken Tenders for apps. Both of these are great. The strips which I'm pretty sure aren't prepared in house but they're on the lighter breaded sided. So it's not all breading. The blue cheese is fantastic too. My always go to is the Steak Chimichurri Salad. This is amazing. Especially if you're doing low-carb / keto. Salad dressing is very light. Steak cooked perfectly. And the rest of the toppings are avocado, red onion and grape tomatoes add a subtle balance. Delicious. I always get this as it is filling and healthy. One thing I would avoid is the asada fries. Those were forgetful.

They have a nice interior build-out with a huge wine bar, but it was a nice evening and we elected to sit on their spacious patio. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted by Sarah, who is the bartender and also manages a couple of nights a week for the owner. Sarah is super friendly, explained the menu and provided great table service. They have a large wine selection. My wife ordered a chardonnay and I stuck with an Arnold Palmer. We ordered their bruschetta appetizer, served as six pieces of toasted bread and the expected toppings. It was a perfect start to our meal. We were not super hungry, and selected a three-cheese charcuterie board. You are able to select your cheeses, and Sarah again helped us make our decision. It was perfect for a summer-weather afternoon (although in March) and we chatted, had our drinks and picked at the board until it was gone. During our meal, Sarah was very attentive to our needs. My wife tried another chard, and we ordered their banana dessert, which had great flavor and was a nice end to the meal. This is a great place to quietly enjoy some wine, beer and food. They have a good sized menu and offer a brunch menu on Sundays. (Diane, Sarah needs a bonus, she made the evening much fun).

You probably wouldn't think of one in Valencia, would you. Well, I have been to all of the above and I am telling you, you would be missing out on a one of a kind, out of this world experience that can be had any day of the week at Kindred Spirits, adjacent to the Hyatt Regency. No, I didn't expect it to come anywhere close to the stratospheric experiences you could have were you to choose any wine bar you fancied, but, the minute I got inside, I knew I was in for an unforgettable experience that I will want to repeat. First of all, it's downright beautiful. Flawlessly decorated with a chic living room vibe with just the right elements to suggest a curated museum-level sensibility. See my pictures as well as all the others here on Yelp. I spent the entire time noticing little details like the plush velvet banquet, the clubby wing back arm chairs, the art deco artefacts and furnishings, paintings, sculptures, even the ceiling lights were unique and obviously carefully selected. And then there is the stupefying wine and spirits menu that goes on and on. I rarely drink anything alcoholic but I couldn't pass up a taste of one of the exquisite sparkling wines that caught my eye. There is a full range of everything. If you really must have beer, it's there, but! For heaven's sake, try something elevated -- ask for recommendations. You won't be disappointed. However, the star of the entire experience is the menu. Now, remember, I am a lifelong vegetarian. I had fun limiting myself to four choices -- I could have had more were I not on a perpetual diet. You can see what we ordered in my photographs. Each dish was superb, really, first in class. Nonetheless, take a good look at my photographs of the Autumn Apple Tarte -- it is the g.o.a.t., believe me. Not only did it taste celestial but notice the tiny flowers? The chef, Priscilla, is a highly skilled and trained artist, her medium just happens to be delicately flavored and arranged plates of heaven. And Sarah, our attendant took a concierge approach to caring for us. A cosmopolitan playlist provided a lyrical backdrop that just made everything flow like silk. Parking is easy, simply use the Hyatt Convention Center parking lot adjacent to a verdant golf course or their garage, for free. There are two main rooms and we asked for the "lobby"-like large room with a giant table that we had all to ourselves, given we were there in the late afternoon on a Sunday. Even so, clientele were coming and going. It was the golden hour and we were draped in a warm light and cozy but uplifting spirit. The entire experience was flawless. And the tab? Ridiculously reasonable. You may not be headed to Rodeo or Saint-Germain-des-Prés or West 27th street any time soon. So, instead, treat yourself to this epic wine bar. You will thank me, when you do.

My wife couldn't decide between the calamari or ceviche di gamberi so she asked Charlie and he said get the ceviche. It was the best choice because it was delicious. My wife got the Chilean seabass for her meal and I got the 8oz hanger steak at medium rare. For the side my wife chose the seasonal vegetable. My wife got the virgin mojito drink which she loved. Our food took some time to come out so the ceviche helped while we were waiting. My wife loves her seabass and I thought my steak was over burnt on the outside. Since I booked this far in advance, I would hope to receive preferential seating especially due to the birthday. There was plenty of times to reserve tables when I had made them so I know this wasn't the issue. We usually do celebrations at 5 star steak house restaurants but wanted to try something different. This must be why many people do not find it this rating. Upon seating upstairs, theTerace area is quieter with fewer people. I don't know if I would sit there again since it seemed to take longer to find out waitress in general. Also, it wasn't intimate and ambience is just ok as table seating is directly next to each other. We ordered our drinks, Espessomartini, margarita, and flat water along with waygu meatballs and breadsticks to start. Food came out before the drinks, so service was a little bit behind, but the waitress tried her best. Of course I'd love for the busboy to clear plates prior to other meals coming out, but that should be reviewed with mgt. Our pastas arrived, Vodka and Wagyu and we enjoyed it. I wouldn't say food left an impression, but decent taste all around. I had to been scoping out this venue for my summer birthday party and asked a couple people about renting out private rooms. I didn't get much feedback. I wouldn't come back here because I dedicate early planning for experiences and ambience, hoping for a live band and better environment. The fact that they didn't honor this left a bad taste in my mouth & I would have the same high standards for my party. What a let down. Lastly, I found it odd that they brought out an ice cream dessert with a candle and charged us for it. If that was the case, wouldn't it be better if we had a choice of the flavor in this matter? This alone just brought down the star rating. So be sure to review your check. I give up!

After he wasnt able to becuase he wasnt expecting me to call out his rude comment, I had to then break it down and specify what I had ordered, he then sold "okayyyy....so how much, cause we don't itemize?"
