Work just down the street at the hospital and very convenient to pick up coffee on the way but just a heads up -- it can get busy in the morning so plan ahead! ** Parking: small lot in the back but there's also some street parking if need be ** Ambiance: shares the space with another restaurant but the actual space itself of the cafe is small. Nice to have a good coffee place in this area. I'm here a lot and sometimes I just want a coffee place where I can meet and catch up with a friend. This place was just that. The place is attached to a restaurant but you can order and sit anywhere. The menus is pretty small and straightforward. They have a few classic coffee drinks and some matcha drinks as well. They do have specialty drinks like a churro latte, tres leches cold brew, cafe de olla, and even fresas with crema matcha. The menu also has a few food options. I saw some games on the tables (Jenga/Connect 4). They have a cute wall with photos of pets that have visited the cafe. It's Sylmar so of course there was a goat and horse on the board. Everything was nice, clean, spacious, the people working there were also really friendly and inviting. I really enjoyed this place and will keep coming back. For today, we opted for an iced latte and a matcha horchata. -Iced Latte: was good. It was the perfect blend of espresso and milk. Coffee was smooth, no burnt taste. -Iced Matcha Horchata: also really good. We got it with almond milk. It wasn't as sweet as I was expecting it to be, which I enjoyed. Always looking for a good cafe. Stumbled upon Jardin. Not your typical cafe layout. Maybe a bit confusing when entering. Being that they have two sections. Wasn't sure what counter to order at. Not a huge selection but good items to choose from. I opted for their horchata matcha which was surprisingly solid. Not overpowering and not too sweet. Good deal at $8 even with a 10% tip. Finally got around to trying this place and it was much closer than I expected! Parking is a bit rough, they share a small lot in the back and most of it was full when we got there. They have EV spots but no EV chargers which was odd? And they also have specific Employee only spots so it's very limited. Might be luckier finding a spot on the street since it doesn't seem too busy! Walked in and were greeted by the lovely staff. It's connected to a Mexican restaurant which is very convenient and definitely want to try it next time we visit! My bf got the salted maple matcha and I got the iced cookie butter latte. Our drinks came out pretty quick and they were delicious! Definitely on the sweeter side, could've gotten an extra shot in mine (maybe next time) but overall very delicious. (Don't get confused, this is connects to Los Ruizeñores Restaurant, so when you don't immediately see it, just look one storefront down & it's right there.) Anywho, what works is the simplicity of this menu. I can't count how many mazapan this, cookie butter lattes that- this place has simple, great-tasting drinks that give you a taste of genuine Latino flavor. Got a cafe de olla which was perfectly done, not too sweet and clearly made with love and attention & an horchata cold brew. The cold brew was smooth, not bitter, not acidic and yummy. Customer service leaves space for more, with no greeting, no offers of assistance for first-timers, just business chatter to rush you to order and a blank stare. Stumbled upon this café by accident, and so glad we did. As soon as you walk in the space is modern and open. The wife owns the café part and the husband owns the restaurant next-door. The girls in the front were very sweet and let us know what was popular. We ordered a Horchata latte and a mazapan latte. Both were extremely delicious with the right amount of sweetness. I came in to support a local business rather than going to a big chain coffee shop. It was my first time here and the lady who helped me was really friendly. I told her I wanted a matcha but asked for it dairy free. I ended up getting the strawberry matcha with oat milk, minus the cold foam. It was made rather quickly, it was okay, it's made with strawberry milk so the strawberry taste was very minimal, I do like it a little sweeter though. They do have chai so I might come back to try that next. The only issue is the parking lot is really tiny, I was fortunate enough to snag a spot but it's super compact. Street parking was all taken due to the apartments near by. Also I noticed on here they had gluten free pastries and well they did not, which I was bummed about, was one of the main reasons I came by. read more

It was my first time trying Jardin but this is definitely one of my new favorite coffee shops in the valley! The service is fast and the food and drinks are great. We got the strawberry matcha and the churro latte, both were amazing! We also got a breakfast burrito with bacon, it came with a side of salsa roja and it was delicious. It tasted homemade in the best way possible. The service was extremely fast, they had our stuff ready in about 5 mind on a Saturday afternoon. I love supporting small business in the area. The best matchas in sylmar! The strawberry is my favorite, but the horchata one is very good. They are always sold out of the mango sticky rice matcha that I would love to try. Every once and a while they are sold out and it takes a week for them to restock it. I've never been inside but I'm sure they are nice enough for a lil cafe. read more

I believe this place is fairly new and has been on my list to check out when I saw videos of them being featured. Although I didn't grab any food, I did try their coffee, their iced latte, which is my go to. Iced latte with whole milk and no sweetener. The color they throw me off as I thought it was gonna be milky, but as I took my first sip, I can't taste the coffee and I was sold. I'm definitely gonna be back to try their other items on their menu + food. This café is located on the corner of Glenoaks and Roxford st. There is parking in the rear. My first time here! I honestly was very hesitant on coming here after reading some recent reviews about the bad customer service lately. I still stopped by to see for myself how good the drinks are here. After all, I have been hearing amazing things about their coffee & matcha! Though my customer service experience was great! It was short since I knew what I wanted before walking in, but there were two younger girls working that day and my personal interaction was nice and quick :) I had brought my notebook to get some work done. I was trying my best to stay concentrated, but the girls working there were gossiping so loud, not worried about people who may be listening. I heard some pretty unhinged things coming from one of the girls, after a couple of minutes it became too much to listen to so I left. On another note I did order the horchata matcha, a popular drink that they have. The drink was so sweet, overpoweringly sweet I couldn't enjoy it. Big kick of cinnamon I couldn't taste the matcha at all. I really wanted to like this place because the aesthetic is cute and they seem about the community but the quality was not there for a $7 drink. I ordered the Fresas con crema Matcha. It was poorly made or bad drink concept. The Matcha flavor was off and there was no evidence of even strawberry or even artificial strawberry. No strawberry taste at all in the drink. Came here for a coffee and breakfast run. The drinks are where this place shines, my husband loved his Mazapan Latte. My Salted Maple Matcha was okay, but I couldn't detect the salted maple flavor (note: I asked for less sugar, so that might be why). The big downside was the breakfast burrito. We ordered the chai latte, camp fire mocha, a breakfast burrito and originally I ordered a cookie but they were out so I got the passion fruit danish. Service was great, quickly made. Drinks were good, food was great- danish didn't really taste like passion fruit but still yummy and breakfast burrito was fresh and delicious. They also had another part of the store with more food options- breakfast, tacos, plates, menudo, pozole, and agua frescas. Came here on an early morning with my boyfriend before heading out on a roadtrip! We found this little spot randomly while looking up coffee shops on Google maps. The coffee shop was clean and had a cute vibe to it. My boyfriend ordered an iced chai latte which he said tasted "okay"-- nothing special about it. I loved my Americano though! Had a great strong flavor and didn't taste watered down. My boyfriend was quite disappointed with the breakfast burrito. After taking a few bites he said it tasted like plain tortilla!! I took the burrito from him to see and yeah, there was barely any filling. From the photo you can see how hallow it is. Went here before heading back to the bay area. I like trying small business owned businesses, especially coffee shops. Parking is a bit hard to find, but we found one in front if the shop in less than ten min. I went around 10am and it was not busy. We were in and out within ten minutes. The staff was friendly and outgoing, which made my morning even better. I liked that they had on the door that they were out of matcha. There are some coffee shops that wait till you are in line and then let you know that they are out of something. The mazapan coffee 1st tasted like burned coffee, but after awhile it had some great mazapan flavor. The churro latte surprised me because I did not expect it to taste so much like a churro. Some places say it's a churro latte and it just has some cinnamon, but here it felt like I was eating an actual churro. I will definitely be back when I am in town. read more

I also ordered a breakfast sandwich, no pic either. The service was great and kind. The place is very open and had lots of windows. It is part of the restaurant and it's has the cafe side. The cafe side had a bar seating, no outlets that I saw off. The restaurant had table seating, outlets I'm not sure. It was a great place to do my work. WiFi was stable. I used to love this place. But whatever changes were made to the coffee recipes have completely killed what made it special. I get that it's easier for the staff, but easier doesn't mean better and the drinks taste watered down to the max. The quality was the only reason this place was worth visiting in the first place and I doubt I'm the only one who has noticed. The food is a hit or miss depending on who's making it. When the owner or either of the two guys are back there, it's great. Anyone else and it's a totally different experience and not in a good way. That level of inconsistency isn't something a customer should have to gamble on. This is the second nearest coffee shop to my job so I wanted to try something different. The girls were very nice when I walked in. I order the mazapan iced latte with a ham and cheese egg spinach sandwich on sourdough bread. I hate to say this but the mazapan latte just tasted like a regular iced coffee I expected atleast some mazapan pieces in it but it was just plain. I don't get the Mazapan flavor at all. I love that they share a space with a food establishment! I used to work at places like that so it gives me good feels. The moment you walk in you're greeted by the most welcoming staff. They were super friendly and helped me choose their most popular AND personal favorite drinks since I originally wanted the matcha horchata but they were out of matcha. I loveeed the cafe de olla with horchata cold foam which is what the cashier recommended, I might add an extra shot of espresso next time cuz as an adult I prefer my drinks strong over sweet. The vanilla latte with oat milk was ok, I wish it was a little bit stronger. And the tres leches cold brew was a little watered down for my taste BUT it was refreshing. We have been there before and since the last time the drop in service went down. My fiance and I ordered an avocado toast with extra chicken for protein and I had a bacon burrito, a cold brew w horchata cream and a matcha. The Burrito was mainly potatoes and tortilla, the horchata was not mixed well and watered down with a bunch of ice, and the coffee was also watered down. My fiance decided to grab a matcha for extra caffeine and had to pay for them to add extra milk because they said adding less ice woild leave a gap on the drink. We spent $50 bucks for watered down drinks, tortilla w potatoes, basically something we could do at home and better. Not ever going back there again due to their rude attitude when informed that the drinks had too much ice and tasted watered down. read more

This place is a little gem for the area of Sylmar/Pacoima/ City of San Fernando, the place is next to Los Ruizeños. The drink I got is from their fall menu "Cookie Butter Latte" it was delicious and not too sweet. I also got a cinnamon rolls which was also good. And the best is they get their pastries from "homeboy industries", so you're supporting two great businesses. The place is super cute and clean. They have a wall where you can use a "post it" and write a cute message. The staff is friendly and helpful.
