Pulchella Winery is such a gem. I've been here a few times now, and I always end up having a great time. It's a smaller spot right on Main Street, which gives it a more relaxed and personal vibe compared to some of the bigger wineries. Their wine is actually really good--way better than I expected the first time I came in--and the staff makes the whole experience even better. They're friendly, knowledgeable, and never pushy. It's the kind of place where you can just hang out, enjoy a flight, and lose track of time. Definitely one of my favorite local places to unwind. After a long drive from San Diego to come down here to this winery that I've heard so much about it was disappointing to say the least. The host person she was amazing and friendly and I'm sorry I didn't catch her name but she's been there for a long. Your wines are good little pricey for my taste for the options you get of mostly just red's or for what you get. I wish you had a better variety of whites. Anyways, we got in there. We sat on the couch in the front unfortunately for us. It was the only day we can come and they had a Christmas in July thing going on in the streets. Unfortunate for me as I've had a knee replacement and we drove around for 30 minutes trying to even find a parking spot to get in there cause we had to pick up our wines with the subscriptions /membership that we had. My daughter and her friend were there and enjoy their selves immensely so with all the hype that she was telling me about this place I was excited to go, but like I said, unfortunately, you were having Christmas in July nothing but screaming kids running around and the streets were packed... not what I wanted for a relaxing environment. But once we got into the establishment, like I said, we sat on the couch we started to have our tasting. It was peaceful and quiet and then all of a sudden these family start walking in with all their kids and it became a romper room. This is a winery. This is a place that adults go to relax shouldn't have children running under foot while you're trying to taste wines or just relax. That was the biggest disappointment I have with this place is that you allow children to run around I will not return. I'd rather go to a wine where I can relax... Again, the girl that waited on us absolutely amazing. She gets five stars. The fact that she let children and all this ruckus in there three star. read more

This place is so amazing! I'm so happy we have wine tasting available locally. My husband and I each ordered a tasting and ended up becoming members by the end of the night. The wine is so good and very affordable. My favorite was the Zinfandel and Witness, which is a Grenache blend. We had a great time and can't wait to come back with friends. The service was absolutely amazing and the decor was so cute. They have a back patio too apparently and they allow you to bring your own food. read more

Loved this little place. Was in the area and decided to look up wine tasting, and this place popped up. So glad we came. The wine was great, and the owner was attentive and cheerful. If their goal is to lose customers, I think they are doing a fantastic job! I still have not been able to pick up my wine from the August allocation! I wasn't able to go to the pickup party and their hours are so limited that I haven't been able to go to the tasting room to pick up. The two times I did change plans to make a special trip there were Sundays after noon when they were supposed to be open and they were CLOSED. It's now been months and no wine and they haven't even reached out to see if they can ship or anything. They sure were quick about charging my credit card for the wine. This wine is across the board awesome! Visited there yesterday and enjoyed all their wines so much that I joined the club. Very worthy! Goalie and Suzanne were our hosts and took time to tell us about each of the wines poured in our tasting and added a couple extras based on our preferences. They are big wines but well balanced. Varietals are excellent as well as some fantastic blends. If you look further you'll see that Wine Spectator is impressed as well with several 90+ point awards bestowed. No food there but there are several restaurants in the area and they welcome having you bring in your own snacks, etc. They don't open till 5 on Saturday but it was worth the wait and there are other walkable places to sip and shop in the Newhall downtown area (who knew?). We've visited the Puchella Winery Tasting Room twice in the past two weeks. First we went in on date night - just the two of us. And we thoroughly enjoyed the wine and the laid back atmosphere. When we found out that we could bring food and snacks in with us, we came back the following week and brought another couple with us. We tasted everything on the wine menu on Thursday night and all ten wines were fantastic. We fought over which one to purchase there and decided on the Cabernet Franc. It was absolutely delicious. So we purchased a second bottle... ;) This is a nice little hidden away spot. Being in old town Newhall makes it feel rural and the relaxing vibe extends into Pulchella. There's no pressure, no rush... they just enjoy wine and welcome people who also enjoy wine. This is definitely a spot that we'll return to and continue to bring guests to. It's not often we find a winery where we like all their wines, so finding one close to us is a treat. If you like red wine, this is the place for you. They only had one white wine featured on both of our trips. I'm a red wine fan so I'm happy. And they even have a tasting menu arranged with Salt Creek Grille so you can bring in fantastic pre-made snacks if you choose. Kudos to the folks who opened this tasting room! The staff and owner are really friendly. If you enjoy drinking good wine, I recommend checking them out. One of my personal favorites is the 2015 City Slicker. It is a strong, yet smooth wine that has a perfect blend of 59% Zinfandel & 41% Petite Sirah. read more

Awesome little gem in Downtown Newhall! We were stoked when we found out they were open till 10:00 on a Thursday and I was surprised at the fact that every wine we tried was amazing! We took home a bottle of the 2015 Awakening which was to-die-for and we can't go on enough about how great the service was! Suzanne not only had extensive knowledge of wine and wine making (which we learned a lot about from her) but she was also very pleasant and fun to talk to! We will definitely be back. read more

I absolutely love this place! It is so nice to have a local winery so close to home! Their Rogue Rosé is to die for and my favorite red is their 2015 Mercenary. They offer a $10 wine tasting, which is a great deal! It includes about 5-6 samples and changes often, so you can go regularly and try something different. They do not offer food, but they do allow you to bring your own, or you can order from one of the numerous restaurants on Main and bring it over. I recommend The Newhall Press Room and Newhall Refinery! Their hours are posted online, but I would call just to double check, sometimes special events can slightly change their hours. I love coming to Pulchella. Dan know as Goalie and Joey are amazing. My husband and I have been coming here for years. Pulchella is my addiction. It has ruined wine for my wife & I. No, not cause it's not good, but because it's fantastic. We joined the wine club last summer which has been the biggest no-brainer. You not only get two shipments per year, but with each release Pulchella throws a complimentary bash to sample all the wines. Unlimited tastings are also included which usually turns into a couple glasses which usually turns into a couple bottles which usually turns into a blown monthly budget :). You following why this is addictive yet? I tell everyone who likes wine about this place and love introducing it to friends & family. Speaking of family, we feel like family whenever we come here. Megan & Steve are good people. Paige is super friendly and entertaining. Joey knows his stuff and is always down to educate / shoot the breeze.
