UODATE TO MY REVIEW: owner got back to me and I'm sorry, my review is accurate. We ordered, noted the condition of the place and didn't last long. When I asked to use restroom was told it was out of order and a sign on the door of bathroom behind restaurant told me same. Maybe your employees don't like cleaning it, maybe it was truly out of order. But you should have a system in place (code for door, code on receipt) that allows paying customers to use it. I always come to Fatburger when I'm feeling like I want a thick juicy burger and sweet potato fries! I actually get the turkey burger here and I really like it. With all the toppings of course! You can customize your burger, however you like including your type of cheese. On my most recent trip here the service was really nice! My sweet potato fries were so perfectly crispy and delicious. I was so happy! The fat fries are also a classic. I got to try the chili cheese fries and they were not my favorite. I didn't like how the cheese on top wasn't melted. Also whyyyyy only Pepsi products?? Sad day for me. Even their unsweetened iced tea tasted a little off to me. One of the cleanest fast food spots I've seen. This is a comfortable location. I ordered two Originals with cheese, no lettuce and a skinny Fry. The lady behind the counter yells everything back to the cook behind the grill; it's really funny. It reminds me of the old SNL skit with John Belushi, "CHEESEBURGER, CHEESEBURGER!" The service is friendly and they bring the food out to you, when eating there. The burgers is good, but nothing that I'm going to crave. Two cheeseburgers, one fry and a drink was 30 bucks. For my money, the best fast food burger in LA is at Fatburger. Good quality beef that's well-seasoned and grilled to be juicy without being greasy. Fresh veggies and other toppings, plus a substantial bun that doesn't collapse. I didn't order a side this time, but their fries are top notch, and their onion rings are some of the best you'll find. Friendly staff offers quick service, and the recently remodeled outpost in Sherman Oaks is clean, comfortable and supported by a cheery soundtrack. Great milkshakes here as well - the non dairy Craig's Vegan Milkshakes are yum from Strawberry to Maui Banana, vanilla and chocolate aren't half bad as well. While I do miss the impossible nuggets once offered here and throughout the chain the impossible burgers are made just the way I like. They were a little slammed the other day so my order was cancelled (insert single tear emoji)... But this almost never happens otherwise. Love walking up Ventura Blvd over to Ventura Blvd & Beverly Glen Blvd (also Tyrone Avenue if heading north to south) where this location resides. The fries were also good. Family got the bigger burgers and they were HUGE. Parking is ample, which is convenient. Have now been twice in 2 weeks. And a big bonus over Innout - no long line. The dining room is the filthiest I've encountered at any franchise fast food establishment. You'd think that the parent corporation would force the franchisee to clean up their act, but you'd be wrong. I ordered a chicken sandwich and a drink. The bun was stale and the sandwich was completely forgettable. It also took quite awhile to get it even though I was the only customer there at 11:30 a.m. A small fountain drink added $3 to the bill, which is ridiculous. My girlfriend and I are regulars at this Fatburger location, ordering through DoorDash and dining in several times a week. However, our recent visit was extremely disappointing. We waited in line to order, then briefly my girlfriend stepped out to use the restroom, which requires staff to unlock it. She was told, dismissively, that it was for customers only. We returned to the front and explained to Rosita that she is a customer and would be back in line after using the restroom. Rosita was rude, told her to stop talking, and said the restroom was only for customers and that she was busy. My girlfriend has never had an issue using the restroom before. Another customer in line witnessed this and also left, stating that they would not support a business where customers are treated with such disrespect over something as simple as restroom access. Based on other customer reviews, it seems that while the restaurant focuses on enforcing its parking and restroom policies, it may not fully understand the importance of treating every customer with courtesy and respect. Rosita's behavior was completely out of line, and we will no longer be supporting this location. read more

I do not hesitate to go to the Sherman Oaks Fatburger when I feel like a hot dog. Good solid five-star dog! One of my go-to places for a hot dog. Not every Fatburger serves hot dogs. I used to get them at the K-Town location, but they took them off the menu. So check the menu online before you go if you plan on trying one other than Sherman Oaks. I'm not sure if I've ever had Fatburger. It's a place I've not had much desire to try. My bff has asked me countless times if I want to go and I always say no. Recently my son asked so of course I got on board. My sister is a pretty strict vegan and she loves the impossible burger. It's her fav! So I knew from the jump that would be my order. Thé impossible burger will make it impossible to ever eat meat from here. It's so scrumptious and I totally see why she loves it so much. One order of fries is super abundant, I barely finished even half of them. I declined a shake when my son was placing the order but tried his Oreo choice and it was soooooo good! I'm glad I declined or I'd have gulped down this sucker in 2 minutes flat. It's a real treat for sure. All in all, I think we liked the food but I felt it was a bit pricey for the three of us, my son, his gf and me. Our orders at In n Out or my fav Shake Shack come in much less so for a fast food joint, it's not exactly fast food prices. You can cook a really nice meal for the price of a couple burgers. I'm not certain I'll return, I've gone all my life without it but if you're looking for a good vegan option I can now officially recommend the Impossible burger. read more
