We came here with a group of 6 for some drinks and bites. We had called in the day before to make reservations, however it was pretty wide open when we arrived at 5pm on a Saturday. LOCATION: Located on Ventura, right at the corner of Lemona. There is neighborhood and street parking nearby, and also a lot in the back with some specifically designated spots. Make sure to read the signs, as there are some spots reserved for other businesses as well. There are entrances both in front and in the back. INSIDE: The inside is relatively small, with a bar area and maybe a dozen or so tables, including one long table in the middle of the room. The seating around the perimeter of the room has a booth and chairs, whereas the large center table uses stools. It was still festively decorated for the holidays, as we went just a few days after Christmas. There are TVs behind the bar and all around the room showing (mostly) sports. The vibe definitely felt like that of a nicer sports bar given that the sound of the game seemed to exceed that of a standard restaurant showing sports. It's also dog friendly! We saw several super cute dogs, and it was apparent that there are some locals who come in and know the staff, and the staff know the dogs. ORDERING: They do not offer table service, this is an order-at-the-counter type of place. After placing your order, they give you a number and bring your food / drinks out when they're ready. We came with a group of friends, so this actually worked out in our favor. Everyone was able to order and pay on their own without having to deal with splitting checks and all that. There is the ability to leave a tab open if you plan to order in waves or have more than one drink. DRINKS: This place has all the options you'd expect to find at a bar, including beer (draft, bottle, cans), wine, and cocktails. There are 13 different cocktail options on the menu, most of which sounded pretty tasty. They are reasonably priced ($14), and I like that they are all one price. They have around 16 beers listed on draft, and 10+ cans / bottles, which include options like Golden State Cider, White Claw, Sun Cruiser, and even a couple NA options. For wine, they have a couple whites, a rose, prosecco, and 4 reds to choose from. We ordered mostly cocktails, including the Basil & Bubbles, Angry Ginger, Cucumber Gin Spritz, and a margarita. We really enjoyed all the drinks, and the Basil & Bubbles was definitely a favorite... so much so that I got a second. There are different size options for both the wine (6oz & 9oz) and the draft beers. FOOD: The menu is pretty solid for such a small spot. They have around a dozen-and-a-half options in their "Nibbles" section, which are essentially appetizers. These include some standard options (tacos, wings, spinach & artichoke dip, hummus, chicken fingers, fried pickles), and some more unique and elevated options (short rib poutine, truffle mac & cheese, deviled eggs, Bang Bang shrimp, ahi poke boats). There are 5 salad options, 7 burgers, and even a few choices for sliders. They have a "Moo-Less" section with a turkey burger, fish & chips, ahi banh mi, and a couple chicken sandwiches. You know this place is kid-friendly, since they even have a dedicated kid's menu with standard options such as chicken fingers, mac & cheese, and burger sliders. Don't forget about dessert! They have beignets and a soft baked cookie, as well as a whole dedicated shake menu with some next level sounding shakes. One of the people in our party ordered a shake, and it was epic. Huge, covered in whipped cream, and apparently very tasty. We ordered a few things amongst the group, including the short rib poutine, cheeseburger sliders, buffalo cauliflower, tacos, and ahi poke boats to name a few. HAPPY HOUR: They actually have a really good HH here. It's from 2p-6p, and 9p til close, every day... plus all day on Wednesdays! Select cocktails are $12 (-$2), all wine & frose is $12, well drinks are $8, and select beers are $6. There's also a list of 11 different options of food items you can get for $12, which includes a lot of bangers! OVERALL: This is definitely a cool spot. Fun place for a date night, to meet up with friends for a drink, watch a game, and grab some tasty grub. The Happy Hour is almost worth the trip alone, with some good deals and great options. It's also kid and pet friendly! I will say the one negative thing was that when I had got up to grab another drink, somebody had taken my plate away, which had the last couple bites of my short rib poutine that I was strategically saving for the end and very much looking forward to finishing... heartbreaking. The staff was friendly and the vibes were fun. It filled up quite a bit by the time we left around 8:30pm. I'd definitely consider coming back to try some more of those food items, and get another Basil & Bubbles (or three)! IG: @bbnem.eats

Solid outing at TC. Cozy high ceiling gastropub with lots of TVs up high around the room. What sets it apart from most sports bars is the quality of the food. It's not your standard core items sold by most food supplier like frozen appetizers. We ordered smoked and baked chicken wings with this killer bbq/buffalo sauce, steak tips and roasted brussels sprout. Everything tasted freshly prepared and minimally processed. I think our favorites were the wings and brussels sprout. The steak tips were ok. My only complaint is the pricing. A three appetizer and two drink lunch ran us about $100 with tip. That's $25 more than we paid yesterday at a British sports bar for three dishes and three drinks.

I came here for a company happy hour and had a great time! The drinks are very good. I had the Tipsy Mule, which is their version of a Moscow Mule. Light and refreshing. I also had an Aperol Spritz, which I also enjoyed. We sampled the chicken wings and cauliflower as well, which were nice accompaniments to our beverages. The staff were on top of everything and very nice. The vibe is casual. A small thought - not even a critique - I heard that this place made really good milkshakes. I would've thought that they'd have some boozy milkshakes. I mean... "Tipsy Cow?" Kinda seems like a missed opportunity. Oh well. I still had a great time.

This review is for a DELIVERY order! Elevated bar food looked great on the menu but Was disappointing as a delivery meal! The garlic fries were kinda gross -limp and cold even though we placed an order for crispy fries. The chicken wings were overcooked, dry and tough. The sauces they came with were GREAT!!! Lastly the mushroom swiss cheese burger was very tasty!

What a mess. I haven't been here in years, and it used to be awesome. Not anymore. The only nice thing about this place was the service -- the person helping us was incredible. But everything else? Terrible. We ordered two Diet Cokes and got some weird flat drinks that tasted like extra-chlorinated tap water. Then came the chicken Caesar salads: wet lettuce, random ingredients that didn't belong, hamburger buns used as croutons, and ranch dressing instead of Caesar (and not even good ranch). The chicken... I don't even have words. It looked fully cooked but was pink, with some strange white chalky stuff on it. I didn't dare touch it. What was that? The only decent items were the poutine, which was good, and the rosé slushie, which was also very good.

4.5 stars Everyone at the bar getting tipsy cuz the nine-to-five got us working so hard. Darling bartender bring us another round cuz we need plenty more! After a stressful day, all I could think about was meeting the beautiful Bender sisters and some fabulous ladies for Happy Hour at Tipsy Cow. This cozy little gastro pub is a neighborhood friendly spot. The staff are delightful, and the vibe is welcoming. We grabbed a few tables and headed to the bar to place our order. (QR code menu2 also available.) The bartenders were great and kindly accommodated our request for margaritas with a sugar rim. Select food & drinks are $10 during HH. The margarita was delish. I liked it so much I had another. Danika was an absolute doll and delivered our food with a smile. I got some truffle fries to share and tried one of their famous Fried Pickles. The pickle spear was thinly sliced and covered in a crispy coating. It was perfectly fried, not greasy, and very tasty. I can see why it's a fan favorite. The truffle fries were exceptionally good and the truffle dipping sauce was a tasty accompaniment. It was an enjoyable evening with good food & drinks and wonderful friends. I look forward to coming back. *HH daily 2 - 6 pm & 9 - close. All day Wednesday *Metered street parking til 6 pm or residential.

Went on a work happy hour. Will say it was wonderful to meet need employees with the company. The place was small, but very nice. On a Main Street so parking can be difficult to find. My partner tried their tipsy mule or something similar to that name. It was delicious. I had a Paloma which depending on your server can make a heavy drink. Had a strawberry margarita and it was extremely refreshing with fresh strawberries purée in it. We have the tots, tacos and mozzarella stick. All fried foods are the best foods. The wait staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Will be coming back again to try more foods with great vibes.

It's been a very long time since I was last here. Years to be exact. It a great place to chill and grab a drink. Also they have happy hour specials which is always a plus. Both indoor and outdoor patio seating. You order at the bar and find a seat. Open seating when we visited. Selections of drink were good and some happy hour specials for certain drinks. They're known for their smashed burgers which we had as well as the fired pickles. Both were also on the happy hour specials. Food didn't take long to arrive. Haven't had fried pickles in a long time and it was quite nice with the ranch dips. Thin sliced pickles, battered perfectly and deep fried. Can't go wrong with that. And the smashed burgers which were perfectly cooked. Very juicy with melted cheese, grilled onions and pickle slices. As well as the sauce which I believe was thousand island. And a side of fries which was separate order. Food was good even though we only popped in for a beer to cool off. But with the happy hour specials, couldn't say no to some bites. Service was good. We sat at the bar which is also good as you get to mingle and chat with anyone else there. There's a few parking spot in the back of the restaurant but majority would be street parking.

Went for a snack and beer and it just happened to be happy hour! There's deals for beer and food - I couldn't be more excited. Just make sure to order at the bar first. The menu is on the board to the right of the register. Once you place your order, they'll give you a number to put on your table but they will get your drinks so you can bring to your table. The food is good and service is great! The Short Rib Poutine was not part of happy hour, but it's a must have. It was delicious! The carne asada Tipsy Tacos and fried cheese curds are good too!

Food was actually really good. Vibe is kind of like open and do whatever you want. Order at the bar and food comes to the table. Slightly high prices ever for happy hour but not bad for a quick bite to eat.

Brazil & Bubbles, trust me it was amazing!

Sherman Oaks is gritty and the section of Ventura Boulevard that houses TLP is almost brutalist in its anti-establishment aesthetic. You would never know it was here if you didn't either live in the neighborhood or seek it out as I did. It is sandwiched between a completely non-descript place that I didn't even look at and a crystals shop with grafitti-etched windows (unfortunately!) but some really cool beads. Inside is the same -- no frills, a dress-down and survive-if-you-dare vibe. My pictures will illustrate what I mean. Nevertheless, the friendly service (shout out to our server, Patrick), the menu, and the quality of the food are well worth it. Again, see what we ordered in the photos attached. Everything was delicious. The floor, tables, and chairs were all clean. There is some kind of post-apocalypse rhumba going on with the ceiling treatment. It is almost reverse-logic art with all the shading (stains? velour movement?) and utilitarian installation it reveals. Love the walls though, and the worn distressed wood everywhere (see the pix, folks). A bonus was watching the Masters (Patrick let us linger) and sitting by a giant window that was open to the street. Parking is up a block or so on either side. We always find safe spots in Sherman Oaks. The music seemed to be one CD of an unknown (to me) vocal artist and was pleasant. The crowd was friendly and the whole atmosphere was like one big homey grunge party. You know those mornings you fall out of bed and almost don't want to change out of your pajamas or yoga threds? This is the place to go. I loved it. (NOTE: You may have to refresh this page twice to see my pictures, for some reason. grrrrrr)
