    LEMON CREAM & BERRIES
    Akilah W.

It's a cozy spot and fun music was playing from the loud speakers. I love that there's opportunity to play games. There was Connect Four, Jenga, and some other games present. It's a nice spot to hang with a group of friends. The service was good. The workers were very friendly. The food that I had was just okay. I had the Green Goddess Grilled Chicken Salad. It definitely looked better than what it actually tasted like. It definitely needs more seasoning. Once salt and pepper were added to it, the salad tasted a little better. The chicken was good in it though. I also had the dessert item, Lemon Cream & Berries. It was pretty yummy. The waffle had a buttery taste. The lemon cream was tasty and the fruit was delish. I'm not sure that I would frequent this spot, but would be open to trying other things on the menu.

The food here is simply good! I think it's fresh, tastes great, and definitely satisfies chicken cravings. What really sets this place apart for me is the level of service. The staff is SO nice and they make you feel like a person and not a transaction. Kudos to the people who help ring you out up front. Then there is eating in a little train car. I love that repurposed parts of our past exist in our built environment and can be used to make our communities feel unique.

Excellent grilled chicken sandwich and $5 custard cup. Next time, instead of the waffle fries, I'll do unseasoned tots. Will come again. Service was friendly and everyone as super helpful and nice.

"THE ORIGINAL with a side of waffle fries and the STRAWBERRY "PALMER"

From the moment I walked up to the walk-thru window and was greeted with the warmest welcome by Juan, to the time I was seated on the sunny patio (with ample shade) and met with a refreshing strawberry "Palmer," to when I received my "Original" chicken sandwich with a side of waffle fries and hot honey sauce, everything tasted delicious! Juan provided 5-star customer service and was very knowledgeable walking me through the entire menu. Also, there's plenty of seating inside and outside. I would highly recommend Bruxie to my fellow Angelenos.

Gorgeous interior, once a train car!

I've passed over Bruxie many times for the Dave's Hot Chicken all of 200 feet away on Lankershim but tonight? I decided to give Bruxie its due. I was greeted by two nice enough young women loitering about the order window and after asking what they recommended and liked the most, I ordered a two piece tenders combo meal with waffle style fries. I go inside to wait for my food and that's when I got the wonderful surprise, that being that the Bruxie folks have restored and renovated an old 1950s train car and repurposed it into a classy diner counter. It's spotless and beautiful. Let the pictures speak for themselves though they don't do it all justice and you just have to go order something yourself and find your way inside... On to the food! The chicken tenders are HUGE. The batter looks to be a dark brown, not oily at all, and the tenders are truly thick with batter. It's hot when you bite in and get access to the beautiful and moist chicken flesh. Love the breast meat and how the tender is on the inside. The batter is a tad too salty for my taste and I'd prefer to be able to discern some of the herbs that comprise it but it's really a singular note. Good, but not mind blowing. I'm not a fan of the Bruxie sauce as it's trying to do too much. It's like honey mustard in that manner and I've always preferred honey on some things and mustard on others. I prefer smokey aioli sauces like you get at Caine's which, like Dave's, is also just on down the street. The ranch dressing dip is better for me on the chicken but could use a tweak too as it's too thin. The waffle fries are nice but when the platter arrived and I set to them? They were room temperature. Like they'd been sitting under a heat lamp and were not fried at the same time as the chicken was... by the way, I suspect that the chicken had been fried before I ordered it and then they just refried it in a flash to ready it up for me. All in all the food is good and I'll come back for a fried chicken sando and a shake as they looked delicious.

I have tried their jumbo tenders and their chicken and waffles. This is more of a pick up kind of a place. There are places to sit but it seems most people take their food to go. Their jumbo tenders are solid. I have had them unseasoned, original seasoning, and hot honey. All are delicious. The tenders are moist. Don't let the name fool you. The size are a lil smaller than your typical hot chicken places. Their sauces seem to be mostly based around mustard. Their Bruxie sauce is my favorite. I've had better chili honey sauces from other places. They don't have the typical comeback sauce. I also enjoy their waffle fries. I will take waffle fries over regular fries any day. I love their chicken and waffles. Their waffles are light, soft and crispy. They are so good! My kids love them too. It comes with 2 jumbo tenders. Make sure to ask for Bruxie sauce because it only comes with maple syrup. Definitely recommend!

This is my first time ordering from Bruxie; I had heard so much about them, especially their waffle sandwiches Today I took advantage of their specials buy one get one free and it was a breakfast burrito Really good but a little too spicy for me although I had called and she told me did the chipotle, mayo, and the tater tots were not that spicy I should have deleted those two items I will know next time for sure to delete the spicy items Their breakfast burrito is delicious. It's toasted and have eggs, cheddar cheese tots, and chicken sausage...really good. Otherwise, paid $24 for both burritos since it was buy one get one free Next time, I'll try there waffle sandwich

    Get in my mouth :)

Loved the Bruxie. Great food; those waffle sandwiches, no matter what you get, end up hitting the spot. Especially if you request a little spice for your chicken and add a little syrup to your waffle, it's a whole different taste to your taste buds that you did not know existed. My favorite thing about this particular Bruxie is the staff here went above and beyond to attend to us. Constantly checked in on us, offered us refills, and brought us condiments and napkins. Every 5 minutes or so they would ask if we were good. It was better service than I recieve at higher end restaurant and this is just more or less a fast food spot. The staff went above and beyond, and for that they deserve their kudos. Now if they can only work on those waffle fries, they defently need some help there. Oops.

First time ever at Bruxie after always driving by for work and I LOVED IT! First off, had a great selection of options, both sweet and savory. I love loaded fries so I ordered those with a side of tossed tender buffalo bites. The buffalo sauce was so yummy and my brother said it's the best buffalo sauce he's ever had! The chicken was so moist but also crispy and light. And the waffle was light and crispy as well! I can't wait to try something sweet next time. Justin made the night even better with his excellent service! He was so attentive and fun! He gave us refills and moist towelettes and lots of fun convo :) Will definitely be coming back and bringing friends!

It's next to the Laemmie and is a decent option for dinner after a movie since it's open until 10 PM. Chicken and Waffles but slightly fancy. Had the "Nashville" with a drink and waffle fries. The chicken was fried to a nice, juicy crisp with a good amount of kick. The staff was really friendly and did regular check-ins. There's both outdoor and an indoor retro decor.

Honey hot chicken sandwich with waffle fries and a strawberry lemonade
    Kendrick L.

Tried this place out because it was close to the North Hollywood train station and it was quite nice. There's limited seating inside with very retro decor, since the location has been around since the 70s. Unfortunately, the AC could use a little work, it wasn't much cooler inside than outside. I got the honey hot chicken sandwich with a lemonade, and it was quite hot! The food was good, the servers were friendly, overall a nice place to visit, and I'll have to try their waffle options next time.

Bruxie baby you've spoiled me. This was the perfect way to start my morning. Customer service was on point, no complaints here. What I wanna talk about is the chicken and waffles! I am I lover of chicken and waffles and love trying different spots around town and let me say Bruxie you've raised the bar. Somehow the waffles were crunchy yet soft on the inside, the butter was perfectly proportioned. The syrup comes in a little bottle which I personally thought wouldn't be enough, I shouldnt have underestimated you Bruxie, my waffle received the perfect amount of syrup. Now these tenders, oh my 'lanta, they were perfectly crunchy, perfectly seasoned, all while complementing the waffle not overpowering it. Well done Bruxie, well done

I always walk by this location, and last night I finally went in to give it a try before heading to the movies next door. Not only was the atmosphere inside the dining car warm and cozy, with a chill aesthetic, but the service was top-notch as if I was the most important customer on the planet! I was really impressed. The fried chicken sandwich I got was delicious, and the spicy tots on the side were tasty as well. I'll definitely be trying out their hot honey fried chicken sandwich next time because that sounded incredible too. Fantastic experience, and I'll definitely be going back soon!

This joint however, they got it right Nestled in what looks like an industrial zone and a kin to dive a bar and an AA meeting place, is Humble Bird. A straight basic fried chicken joint that serves out Memphis hot sandos that are juicy, warm, and oh, so good. Definitely in my top five. Definitely. I did medium heat, which really wasn't warm to me, but it was flavorful and you could actually taste the floral of peppercorn. The pickles were crunchy and the slaw had something secret. I'm thinking it was reddish added, but I'm not sure. Either way it was great and went perfect on the sandwich . I also got a side of their spiced up fries and, though I'm not a big fries guy, these are spot on. The chef that came up with this mix of spices and herbs, nailed it. It's definitely not close to me, but I would definitely find a way to return. Probably try the cheese melt chicken sando next Whomever lives near here or if YOU happen to in the area, try it. Like, the kind of service where you actually feel welcomed and not rushed or awkward for asking questions. The staff was super patient and took the time to really explain the menu and walk me through all the different spice levels, which I appreciated so much. I had questions about the menu and especially about the spice levels, and instead of rushing me or giving short answers, they took the time to fully explain everything. They broke down what each heat level feels like, how intense it is, and even gave honest recommendations depending on spice tolerance. You could tell they actually care about making sure customers enjoy their food, not just pushing orders out. I ended up ordering the Kluckin Tenders and decided to go all in by trying every spice level they offer: No Heat, Kluckin Mild, Kluckin Hot, and Kluckin Fire. Starting with No Heat, i tried the og tender to see how it was alone without any spice because I'm quite the chicken tender connoisseur haha. I was honestly surprised by how flavorful it still was. The tenders were crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and seasoned really well. Even without spice, nothing tasted bland or boring, which says a lot about the quality of the chicken and seasoning. Kluckin Mild was a nice step up. It had some heat, enough to let you know it's there without being overpowering. This felt like a perfect everyday option -- flavorful, balanced, and very easy to enjoy. Kluckin Hot is where the heat really starts to kick in. It definitely made me slow down, but I loved that the flavor was still there. It wasn't just spicy for the sake of being spicy. You could still taste the seasoning and the chicken, which is something a lot of places get wrong. And then there's Kluckin Fire. This one is no joke. It looks like it would absolutely obliterate my taste buds. It definitely looks scarier than it is! The heat builds fast and lingers, and the staff definitely wasn't exaggerating when they warned me about it! That being said, it's still well made. This flavor actually ended up being my favorite! If you're someone who actually enjoys serious spice, you'll appreciate this level. It's intense, but it feels intentional. I also have to talk about the sides! The coleslaw was actually really good. Fresh, super crunchy, and well balanced. Not overly mayo-heavy or soggy like a lot of places do it. It had just the right amount of creaminess that helped cool things down between bites, especially when working my way through the hotter spice levels. It paired perfectly with the tenders and was honestly a lifesaver once I got to Kluckin Hot and Kluckin Fire. The crinkle cut fries were another highlight. Super crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and perfectly seasoned. The crinkle cut shape made them extra satisfying, and they held up really well even as I took my time eating. They weren't greasy or limp at all! Which is always a plus. Dipping them in their kluckin sauce was so addictive. (Absolutely must have this with your meal here) Seriously, can we please bottle this sauce?! Overall, this place just does everything right. Great food, real spice options, and customer service that makes you want to come back. It's rare to find a spot where the staff is both knowledgeable and genuinely kind, and it makes a huge difference. If you're a hot chicken fan or someone who likes exploring different spice levels, this place is absolutely worth a visit. I'll definitely be coming back and already recommending it to friends. Thanks so much for having me!!
