Don't get twisted by the bad reviews about this location. My boyfriend and I ordered pick-up through the app earlier today. We got a greens + grains bowl (braised lamb & chicken) & free pita. As soon as we got there, there was a good amount of parking spots in front. We walked in and unfortunately someone had taken our pick-up order. We hope there's a better way to organize pick-up orders so that it's easily not taken by others. I went to the restroom while my boyfriend shared what had happened with the staff. By the time I got out of the restroom, they made our order again. We ate our food at one of the outdoor tables then proceeded with our drive. Cava newbie here. We decided to give this place a shot because we've heard so much about it. The first thing I noticed was how long the line was, but once we got up to order we found out that they really give you their time as there's a lot of things to choose from and many people ahead of us had multiple orders. I got the salmon yogurt dill bowl and I really liked it a lot. It was satisfying and was plenty of food. Next time I'd substitute power greens for the arugula. Maybe it's a sensory thing, but the long stems of the arugula was too much for me. The yogurt dill dressing was great and the salmon was cooked well. My daughter got a steak bowl and said she'd get her dressing on the side next time. I wished I ordered pita chips with some dip, but I'll grab some of that the next time. They have outdoor and indoor seating. Parking close to the spot can be challenging because they share an area with Starbucks, Sharkey's, Jamba Juice, etc. If you go down toward REI and walk you'll find a spot no problem. I'm also glad they kind of increased the font on menus so my blind ass can actually read it and order food (I stg it was like 10pt font on the menus on the wall). I ordered the harissa chicken power bowl which came with harissa honey chicken, white sweet potato, crazy feta, hummus, avocado, new sumac slaw, new power greens, skhug, and yogurt dill sauce. Stopped here while driving on the 5 north. Parking for this area was really hard, kind of a nightmare so the location is hard to get to. After we finally parked, We waited in line for about 15 mins which felt a bit long, there was only 2 people in front of us. The seemed to have a lot of online orders that take priority. The workers themselves were fine, not overly friendly but just doing their job. The food itself was not great, we got 2 menu chicken bowls instead of a pick the items yourself style. I come to this CAVA frequently! The staff is always super helpful and friendly. Today I especially appreciated Mykara's help at the cashier because I went up a few times to ask for things. The food is always fresh and hot and the staff does a great job with upkeep of the serving station. Definitely my go to after hitting up the 24 hr fitness center in Burbank and I just love how filling it is for how much you get! The service is quick and even the To Go orders are done within 10-15 mins from the app! I love using the mobile orders since I'm always in a time crunch. The place is clean and usually the seats inside are taken but the outside seating is nice too. The pita chips are bomb but I opted for some crunchy carrots sticks and it's the perfect pair to crazy feta dip. For protein I went with the new harissa honey chicken and added tomatoes/cucumbers and pickles for my toppings. For sauce, more harissa because I'm all about that spice life. Overall, plenty of food to leave fulfilled and not sluggish. Came twice to this location and two times I felt that area was not clean. Absolutely hate this location. Every single time I come here they charge me a different price. I get the same thing every time, half chicken half steak. 2 dressings 3 toppings. I've gotten charged $14,16,18,22, even $28! The Pasadena location when you build your own bowl you actually pay that price not whatever the cashier feels like you should pay. The workers are so rude when I mentioned it wasn't the same price as I paid yesterday and I don't even blame them bc she told me manager that "I'm mad bc I got charged incorrectly" I'm not mad, I just wanna get what I paid for. The manager didn't even do anything. Said he would call me back bc there was a lunch rush and apparently I'm not important enough even though I told him I was part of that lunch rush.
