Maggot in green curry soup

I've been ordering from them since 2018 and have been ordering the same thing which is the combo fried rice. They usually have decent proportions which is why I like coming there. My boyfriend and I usually share. This time I ordered it they gave me significantly less of a portion but charged the same price. When I asked them why, they gave me a run around story.. MAKING THINGS UP. Saying you only get that size when you add meat. Mind you I had BEEF and SHRIMP. To sum it all up they told me from this point on they would be REFUSING SERVICES MOVING FORWARD. For a mistake they made. Very saddened by this as I've been a long standing customer. After I gave them a second chance from the time there was a MAGGOT in my green curry soup a few years back. I know shame on me. Even more shame on them.

Soo Raa Thai is a nice spot. The Kao Soi w/ chicken is very tasty, as is the Green Curry w/Chicken. The Fresh Roll with Chicken and Shrimp was mostly Lettuce so it wasn't my favorite, but the overall meal was good. I must give an extra star for the great spice tray (every Thai restaurant should have their sauces and spices displayed like this). The service is friendly and helpful and the dinning room is nicely laid out and clean. I will definitely be going back to Soo Raa Thai.

One of my favorite favorite favorite Thai spots in the area. Such a gem! The spice levels are serious and the food is outstanding and consistently delicious. The ambiance is very intimate and dark and quiet. The service is always on point. I love coming here on a whim knowing very well that I'll be a happy camper. I'm so happy my husband introduced me to Soo Raa Thai! PARKING: Free, in the plaza

After my husband, a friend and I attended the coral at Lilly house, we decided to our favorite comfort food, Thai. We discovered this restaurant, cozy, Christmas vibe, including songs. The service is very good, really friendly. The food is so delicious! Tasty! $good price. Also, we had an incident, my husband forgot his scarf and wallet. We went back, and they kept in a plastic bag bag with his name, waiting us to pick up, so gentle. It is so nice to see good humans living here.

Incredible pumpkin curry

This is one of my favorite spots to eat at in LA. The pumpkin curry is EXCELLENT! And I love their "money bags"/cream cheese wontons. Service is friendly and fast.

We've been doing that for a few years now, so that should tell you something right there. Our order is fairly consistent: we each start with a mimosa that comes in a highball glass, so one is usually all we need. Next, we share an order of kimchi biscuits (you get two). So delicious! Packed full of kimchi, bacon and cheddar cheese, it's a nice combo of flavors that play well together. The interior is usually soft and warm, with a nice crunchy crust. Top that with a smatter of the cinnamon butter that it comes with...yum! Our choice of entree varies, anything from avocado toast, to their kale and seaweed salad or any of their other selections they have from their brunch/lunch menu. On this outing, my friend and I both opted for the bibimbap. I opted for the pork bulgogi while my friend got the chicken version. It comes with a generous amount of carrots, zucchini, shiitake mushrooms and bean sprouts, and is topped with a runny, sunny side up egg that serves as an excellent sauce when you mix everything together, along with the gochujang sauce. We upgraded and got it with brown rice in the hot stone bowl. Worth it! The regular bibimbap is good, but when you mix in the crunchy crust that comes from the bottom of the stone bowl, you get an additional texture that makes the dish really stand out. The flavors already come together nicely, and the crunchy bits just enhance the experience. For dessert, we like to share the "lemon pie", which is actually a scoop of lemon gelato that comes in a glass that also includes graham crackers, topped with toasted marshmallows. A nice way to end the meal. And the staff! We usually either have Justin or Ann as our server, but everyone there is super friendly and helpful. They are consistently good at checking up on you and making sure you have everything you need. Just another 5 star reason of why we keep coming back!

Worthy of a Michelin! Exceptional!…read more To say that this was one of the best experiences in thai food for a well traveled man like me, would not be an exaggeration! The duck curry is dense and intense with Japanese yam, a combination I've never seen before (order the curry medium spicey+). the chicken satay appetizer is double the size of what you're used to, & done to perfection. Shrimp pineapple fried rice made the perfect sweet and spicy dish. The pad se ew was done to perfection.... and we topped it all off with an Ube brulee (not exactly brulé'd but silky smooth experience all the same). Haven't taken such a long 2 hour nap on a Sunday afternoon in decades.

This place was called Voila Boutique for as long as I can remember. The Rustic Spoon opened right before the pandemic. They survived and now this is definitely one of the best Thai spots in town. We started off with Steamed Chicken Dumplings, Tom Yum Soup with Shrimp and Jasmine Tea. The Dumplings were fine, the soup had a nice lemon grass broth, lots of mushrooms and about five full shrimp. We moved on the the Krapow with chicken, which was very tasty. Drunken Noodles with Beef was also very nice, and then we had two curries with chicken - The Yellow Curry and the Massaman Curry. Both were served in a Yellow curry sauce. The subtle difference was the cinnamon braised chicken in the Massaman curry, otherwise both dishes tasted the same and were very good. This was a delicious meal and a very pleasant experience. The service was excellent and the vibe inside is comfortable, relaxing and sleek. They don't have low sodium soy sauce, but they have plenty of good spice options which they will bring to the table upon request. There is also a large parking lot in the back, which is very convenient. As much as I like the Toluca Lake location, I think I like this spot better. The larger dining room has more space between tables, but it still maintains an intimate vibe. The menus are identical. Tasty food, great service and an enjoyable atmosphere. I'm a fan!

According to other reviews that I have read earlier today, the restaurant is under new management/ownership. Walked in today around 4:45pm and got a very nice, warm welcome from Alex - the owner himself. He told me to have a seat anywhere that I wanted, so I did. Alex himself took my order and the food came out pretty quickly and fast. I was very hungry so I got 2 main entrées and their regular small salad with peanut dressing. Ordered their Pad See Ew with beef & shrimp that also came with well cooked broccoli. I also got their crab fried rice and stayed with my water. Both entrees were cooked really well and were hot & tasty. My only complaint was that the beef was a bit overcooked and hard to chew. A lot of to-go orders and delivery/pick up by 3rd parties. Place was SPOTLESS CLEAN, including their gender neutral restroom. They also had nice decor all around. I really enjoyed my lunch and the portions being HUGE, took the rest home for my son to eat. Parking shared with 100 businesses:-) Thank you Alex & Noodle Monster!

Their Thai iced coffee is SO GOOD. It's pretty sweet, but had lots of strong coffee to offset the sweetness a bit. The gyoza and the shrimp rolls were amazing! Their menu is so big I would definitely come back and give it another try! Food was ready super fast. Great for take out or dine in!
