    Bread Friends

I was in the area because my friend was getting a colonoscopy. She said she's usually out of it and probably won't want to eat. I already had breakfast but she was feeling good and starving for Aeirloom. She ALWAYS gets the Sunny Sandwich with potatoes. Every single time. She LOVES it. Since I had my disappointing breakfast, I got Bread Friends. A huge assortment of toast with homemade jam. You can't go wrong with toast, especially artisan toast. Fantastic. Very fresh and homemade. It's a pretty large space on the corner. There is street parking and a small lot behind the restaurant. Our server was wonderful! He kept her Arnold Palmer filled and perfectly poured. She said they make their own tea.

Aeirloom Bakery has been in Toluca Lake over 10 years now and there is nothing not to like, except they are only open until 4 pm. Now, this is not just a bakery. It is an amazing restaurant with all organic food, all made to order and served with a smile. They are dedicated to serving only the finest organic foods and coffees. The place is just beautiful, inside and out and you will get the best service, be it if you eat there or go to the bakery area that is amazing. They have indoor and outdoor seating. You can get a meal there or eat their wonderful pastries. If my camera does not start working better I am going to throw it though a wall. There were some dishes I had or have had and asked if they could take a photo for me. They did better, they just directed me to where I could grab some of their amazing items. We have had them all. The bakery is the best. You will love their cakes and pastries. It is all just so great and never stale. I love any of their chocolate cakes. Their food is to die for. The only thing I did not love was their eggs because I did not like the bread it came with. I bet I could have changed it, but it was good. They have wonderful soft tacos and their salads are great. They even have burgers, but I have not tried them. They have a French toast that you can add whatever you want to and it is served so you put what you want on it. We love their benedicts. I have had one with scrambled eggs and a salad that was heaven. All of their fruit bowls are the best. They have something for everyone. Their prices are a tad high, but you get what you pay for, great organic food. What truly makes Aeirloom special is the community they have. Everyone is so nice and more than once we have seen the same people there.

So happy to have made this amazing discovery! Driven by countless times thinking oh one of these days... well, today was that day. My husband and I came for brunch and had an excellent experience. Be prepared to wait a little bit, but also know that it is 1000% worth the wait. They do their best to move tables quickly and they offer plenty of seating outside so at least you're comfortable and not standing around. There are a couple of dozen tables outside, which would be lovely, but we sat inside, which was perfect perfectly pleasant. This place is busy! Somehow I am always surprised to get such amazing service when restaurants are packed and bustling like this one is. Service was absolutely outstanding. Attentive, friendly and our food and drinks came quickly. They have really great cocktails, and my husband enjoyed the bloody Mary to start to be followed by a couple of mimosas with different juices. I enjoyed an Earl Grey tea. Great selection of beverages, both alcoholic, and non-alcoholic. We couldn't decide so we ended up sharing the O.M.R. What an incredible dish. It's optioned with shredded pork which we got and it was outstanding. We also got the Kalamata cutie omelette, and it was delicious. Everything is well prepared, fresh with quality ingredients and portion size is perfect. Wishing now that we would've gotten something from the bakery case for a snack for later, but that's another reason to go back sometime very soon! Incredibly reasonably priced. With tip it was $100 for two dishes, three cocktails, and a cup of tea. We will definitely plan a visit back here. Delightful on all levels and highly recommend.

First time there. It was very busy but we got seated pretty quick since we were on the waiting list prior to arriving. Menu's choices are good. Food took a long time. Our waiter was ok, zero personality. Food was delicious. Vibe was cool. Managers checked on us a couple of times. Bathroom needed attention. We were seated outside. It was full and noisy inside. Overall, our Sunday's brunch was great and we will go back.

Came here for lunch with a friend. Started off with their bread appetizer. Came with three different types of bread, butter, and jam. Filling but will pass on it next time as only one of the breads stood out: cranberry. I had their prosciutto Benedict. This is one of their best sellers. The flavor was great but their homemade muffin was thin and a bit too crunchy. They came with a side and I got their potatoes. My friend got the tostada. She said it was solid. All in all solid food for the price. I will say this seems to be a great place for mimosas though! Looked like they had numerous different options. The service was fantastic! Lots of seating inside and some cute tables outside. There was also an option for coffee and baked goods at the register. Parking was street parking (2 hours) and wasn't hard to come by.

Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Price: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Food: 4/5: we ordered the Happy Havana Panini, the simply Southern chicken and waffles, a lemonade, espresso and a toasted smore latte. The Happy Havana was excellent, maybe the best Cuban sandwich in the Valley. The chicken and waffles were ok, the slices of fried chicken weren't the greatest but the bacon made it significantly better and the waffles themselves were decent. The latte was good, so was the espresso and lemonade. Overall everything was solid, but the Happy Havana was the standout. Service: 4/5: very good service overall. We arrived 2 hours before closing, the places had a decent number of people but was not packed at this time. Never felt rushed and the servers were on top if it for the most part. As the staff began to clean up, as it drew closer to closing time, it was a little but more difficult to get assistance, which I can understand. Price: 4/5: this place has great value, its roughly about $15-$25 per person if you include drinks. I never felt any item on the menu was overpriced. Ambiance: 4/5: a country home vibe with a touch of modernity. A nice relaxing vibe with relatively chill music. Outside seating and dog friendly which is always a plus. It also has parking in the back which is a premium being on Ventura Blvd. I'd definitely come back.

When you go to Aeirloom, you get the most elevated and yet homey breakfast and lunch food. Everything is special. And - if you come here often enough, it's like becoming family! It's a great place filled with appreciative staff and patrons. The owners do it right!

We went to heirloom bakery on Sunday afternoon and even though the place was very busy, the atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming. The food was really good, we ordered a few different dishes and everyone seemed to enjoy what they got. The coffee was good too, the only issue was with my coffee order. I specifically asked for decaf coffee, and after my 2nd cup, I checked with my server just to make sure it was decaf, she admitted she had forgotten and was actually serving me regular. Aside from that mixup, the overall experience and the food were enjoyable

YELP reservation worked like a charm; wish more cafes used this feature. Inside is super noisy; sit outside if you can. It can get busy; consider another spot if you're famished and feeling impatient (yes, that was us) but totally worth the wait for the all organic menu options. All three of us thoroughly enjoyed our food: sunny sandwich, juicy bison burger, and breakfast wrap. We want to return to try more of the menu... we already have ideas on what we want to try based on seeing the beautiful plates of food being delivered around us. Five stars for the food... wish the experience was more relaxing, though.

We came for brunch and were blown away. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with the best ingredients, you can really taste the quality and care. I especially appreciate that so much of the menu is organic! The vibe is warm and welcoming, and it's incredibly family- and kid-friendly, perfect for a relaxing weekend meal with little ones in tow. A huge shoutout to the owners, Gio and Benson, who are not only talented but also some of the kindest, most attentive people you'll meet. They made sure every guest felt taken care of and went out of their way to create a wonderful experience.

What a great place!! Local field delicious food and top service. I really enjoyed the inside of Aeirloom because it had a feel of a French bakery. I had the Benedict. It was decedent! The prosciutto ham was delicious with a perfectly poached egg.

The food and drinks are always delicious. My personal favorites are the Spicy Tomato, Waffleena, and their Chantilly cream is absolutely top-tier. The servers are friendly and attentive, and the male host is especially great and welcoming. On weekends there's usually a long line and the wait can be pretty long, but it's definitely worth it!

It remains a unique addition to the neighborhood, as well as a good place to grab some interesting dishes. Since the opening of this particular business, the Zinc chain has opened in a few other locations. Those locations are much newer in not only their establishment but their design. This is not to say that this is still not an interesting, well-designed business, but, with time, it has become a little bit rundown. I hate to say it, but that is the truth. This location could really use an update and perhaps a deep cleaning. I was, in fact, kind of surprised at the condition of this business, for example, on the way towards their restrooms. From my opinion, it needs an clean up and an update. Also, the litter that surrounded some of the outdoor tables where I was sitting at my most recent visit was very surprising. This is just something to keep in mind if you're coming here for your first visit. In terms of what they offer for food, though it has evolved a bit over the years, they still have a great, heath-based menu, with some very interesting choices. For all of you vegetarians and vegans out there, you will, for sure, be able to find some tasty food to eat. Once upon a time, this restaurant was impacted with tons and tons of people. It was constantly full with people either going to the bakery and/or sitting down for table service. Shortly past their opening each day, there would be a line of people waiting for service. This seems to have changed, however. Meaning, if you're looking for an interesting place to eat, with some good dishes, at the far Southeast side of DTLA, near the lofts district, and you want a place without a long wait to get a table and/or your food, this may still be your place to go.

We could understand that it was busy but the waitress never apologized or said anything like they were understaffed or anything. Also, we had a few questions about the menu and our drinks and the waitress would just say, "I think so?" or give a vague answer. She didn't seem very knowledgeable about the menu at all. Maybe she was new, but clearly training was lacking. I don't think I'll be returning but since I see many reviews relating to service issues, hopefully management is able to address the deficit

The crunch of the potato taco riding into the salsa macha and crema felt like home, but with some extra pop. His salsa game is on point. The scallion salsa on the ribeye taco was also gas. Lastly, I really dug the tostadita de atún. It hit perfectly on these hot summer days. Low-key, I still want to try the El Rey de Noche. Tacos de beef trompo are starting to hit LA, and dude was ahead of the curve making picanha-brisket tacos de trompo. Service is smooth too. The servers are helpful, and solid at the bar. Overall, it's a cool spot with a menu that feels unique to LA.

A few weeks ago, I tried a sample of a Venison burger at Sprouts and it was pretty amazing. I felt…read morethat I needed to try this here as well. My friend just flew in for a day because his relative had forgot her passport and needed to travel to Korea, so we stopped here. He missed a few meetings, a vet appointment and other things, but also saved the day, otherwise his relative wouldn't have been able to make it to Korea. While here, they ordered a salad with cherries and pecans that was pretty amazing. I think that may have been one of the better salads I've eaten. In addition to that, a cucumber burrata salad was ordered, and that was made well too. When my venison burger arrived, I took a few bites and it had the exact flavor I was hoping for and I thought the burger was done extremely well. My friend also ordered a pork chop, and it was an amazing cut, cooked perfectly, tender, juicy and everything you could ever want in a bone in pork chop. They also cut the entire piece for you and scraped every last bit off of the bone too. The service is really attentive. They come by your table a lot to ensure you have everything you need. The ambiance is a bit dim in lighting which sets a nice mood. And the place just happens to be dog friendly too. Sorry for the lack of photos, but I didn't wanna intrude on everyone else's meals. However, if you come here, definitely try the salad with cherries and the venison burger or the pork chop!

Great for pics The pop Benedict was good but not super filling, the eggs well seasoned and good sauce Bacon super bomb, if you like sweet Canadian bacon. Not a fan of the grits Tartar 10/10 easy really good dish to get to share Chile was okay nothing else besides sauce and chips 4/10 Ribeye steak very small like 6 oz steak for $58 it's great but not for the size and quality Great service, really fast and their mixed drinks were bomb too. I liked the melon one 9/10 Overnight oats is good too but on the higher end, 7/10 nothing crazy but still good If I go back the butter, burger and pop Benedict would be the move or bacon
