It's been a while since I was last here, but recently my vegan friends were raving about Victory Caffe and we came by for breakfast to check it out. Their menu is very easy to decipher and they have lots of both vegan and non-vegan options, including smoothies and acai bowls! It's not a full services restaurant, you order at the counter and they give you a number so you can seat yourself. Super no frills, casual spot. It took a while for our food to come out, not sure if this is normal or it was just a busy weekend morning. I got the chicken pesto sandwich and unfortunately it wasn't a home run for me. Chicken was a little dry, and the bread was just OK. We got a vegan waffle for the table and I didn't find it to be that flavorful, but I the coconut sorbet on top was a nice touch. After contemplating for a while between 3 or 4 stars for my review, this was the rating that I decided on. I don't have regrets, nor do I feel bad. We need to be honest on Yelp right? Walked in this morning at exactly 9:15AM, and got a very pleasant, nice welcome from Izabella. She was as sweet as cherry pie. Had a very nice personality, smile, and approach. Cons are more than pros. With that being said, took a look at their display case where they SHOULD HAVE HAD plenty of baked goods, and had none. EMPTY!! I said "do you guys have more in the back"? She said we ran out. I looked at her straight in the eye and said. "Ran out"? "it's only 9:15AM"? She apologized and we moved forward with my order. Extensive menu options from A to Z!! Food was mediocre and lukewarm. Got their Spinach scrambled somewhat called omelette, with: onions, tomatoes, and bell pepper. Asked for mushrooms, she said they don't have mushrooms. Side of Sourdough. (2 small slices) nicely toasted. With ketchup. Who eats bread with ketchup? Asked for jelly and she brought it right away. Wherever I have ordered an omelette, they always had mushrooms. I subbed their potato for a cup of fruit. Nicely sliced Bananas, Blueberries and Strawberries. The fruit was touching the omelette. It shouldn't be that way. It should be in a bowl or in a cup. Fruit was very fresh.. I had asked for Mozzarella cheese, they didn't have that either, so w/out telling me she put Parmesan cheese (one that I can't stand), was not even melted. Then she said let me take the plate and give you another cheese. I said "what other cheese do you have"? She said we have Jack cheese. Brought my plate back with American cheese. I also ordered a Vegan Breakfast Burrito with: tofu, vegan cheese, potatoes, pico de gallo, guacamole, and black beans (side of Chipotle sauce). Vegan Burrito was wrapped nicely in a flour tortilla and cut in half. Didn't taste good at all. I even told her. Not to mention that my food arrived 30 minutes late, a dirty table in the back for the last 20 minutes and she was running the show all by herself. A lot of to-go and 3rd party orders. Asked for Tabasco sauce, got to my table right away with the cap loose. Thank God I caught on to it before opening. Imagine if that spilled on me?? Just imagine. No need to say more. They also sell açaí bowls along with desserts. Restaurant is quaint, clean, and has about 10 tables and chairs. Gender neutral restroom with ample parking shared with multiple businesses. Fine 80's music playing overhead. This is a family owned business, and has another location in Van Nuys. May the Mexican restaurant (RIP) before this one arrived. Came her for breakfast and was delighted! They have smoothies, breakfast fare, and yummy coffee. We went with their breakfast sandwich and their breakfast burrito. The sandwich was solid but special shout out to that burrito! Really good. This place was super clean and had really convenient parking. Service was fast and friendly! What a nice find in the area! I was here to visit a friend and wanted to grab quick coffee drinks before meeting up and came across this spot as I got to Studio City. Lots of food and drink options to choose from so there's something for everyone here. Pretty decent coffee at a reasonable price. I got the Horchata Latte to try a little something different than the usual and it was recommended in a lot of reviews. It definitely gave me the caffeine boost I was looking for plus that sweet horchata flavor. The staff at the counter was super nice and friendly! Lots of seating here if you're not just here for a quick grab and go. The horchata latte was just a little extra sweeter than my preference, but still pretty decent. The staff is super friendly, and if I'm unsure what to order, they always have great recommendations that never disappoint. The horchata iced latte with oat milk is an absolute must try, seriously!! it's so good! I also love their light breakfast sandwich with added chicken sausage. The bread is perfectly crunchy, and the whole combination is just right, not greasy at all. I like to top it off with some Tapatío hot sauce, which adds the perfect kick. I was in town for business, and I needed to find a good place for brunch. I came across this fine cafe after consulting my Yelp app. A short drive from my meeting venue brought me to a small shopping center along Ventura Blvd in Studio City. Parking was plentiful, the three times that I've come here. This place has ample seating, and I've never had issues with that nor with parking. The place is clear, has one restroom, and is staffed with friendly workers. My first time here, I ordered a breakfast dish. The dish came with scrambled eggs, potatoes, avocado, and bacon. The dish was decent, and the bacon added a nice kick of flavor. The second and third time I came here, I opted for the spicy chicken sandwich. This grilled chicken delight was splendid! It was spicy enough, and very tasty! It is one of the best grilled spicy chicken sandwiched that I've had thus far. It came with a side salad, which was also well prepared. The coffee here is strong, and that is exactly how I like it. I was wired for hours after drinking the house coffee, which meant that my meeting went very well. I ordered a simple egg sandwich and was told it would be ready in five minutes. After waiting 15 minutes, it still wasn't ready. When I politely asked how much longer it would take, the cashier responded very rudely and said, "We're busy." (There was no apology!) The restaurant only had two or three tables occupied, so that explanation didn't make much sense. When I asked again how much longer it would be, he said he could just give me a refund so I could leave. When I pointed out that his response was rude, he simply said, "Yeah, whatever." I was super excited to try this NEW location in Studio City and it is as AMAZING as their primary location in Van Nuys! My first order was of course, my all-time favorite vegan sausage sandwich that I can't get enough of! However, I decided to try something different today and I went for their beef'ish burrito, and it was definitely tasty (chipotle sauce is always a hit for me), but I still won't trade my ALL-TIME favorite, lol. I suggest you give it a try--and if you want to nourish your body a little bit more, pair it with one of their fresh juices. I'm a matcha girlie, so when I don't get a juice, I get their organic iced matcha latte. They also also have lavender matcha, and it is so smooth and delicious; you can actually taste the matcha and lavender, not just the sweetness of it. Talking about sweets, if you're in for a treat, give their pastries a try--They are delightful! Did I mention they also serve boba drinks and açaí bowls? Victory Caffe is definitely a must try if you're in the area and need to satisfy your hunger/cravings with some fresh and great quality food. Final remarks: Service is always a breeze! Me and my family of 4 came to Victory Caffe for a quick breakfast since the place was near our hotel. We were in for a huge surprise! The second we entered, the man behind the counter welcomed us warmly, and even cracked a few jokes. He seemed to genuinely enjoy what he was doing; which can be rare to find. We ordered our food (2 croissant sandwiches, grilled cheese, spinach & eggs) and did not have to wait too long. Our food came with beautiful spread of fruits that clearly had care and thought put into it. We even got little edible flowers! All four of us were blown away at how amazing the presentation was. And the food was just spectacular. The croissants were fluffy and buttery; everything you'd want out of one. The spinach, which tends to be difficult to cook, was absolutely perfect. This was my first visit. I came in the afternoon, an ordered black coffee. It was cold and bitter. I was told that after 1 pm they do not brew new batches of coffee. There was no indication anywhere that they do not brew regular coffee in the afternoon, only lattes and others like that. This is the only coffee place I have ever gone to that has this policy. The owner did make a fresh batch for me. I suggested to the owner that he make it clear that in the afternoon no new brewed coffee is made.
