My friend and I had such a great dineLA experience today. The lunch menu during this time is a really great deal. You a drink, an appetizer, an entree and ice cream, all for $25! These days, that the price of an entree. We shared our appetizers: my friend had the individual portion of the uptown mac and cheese and I had the grilled mushroom. The mac and cheese is to die for! So creamy and very rich, with aged cheddar and gruyere cheeses, pieces of chicken, peas, and asparagus sprinkled throughout. A definite diet buster, but worth it! The grilled mushroom was no slouch either. Consisting of oyster and king trumpet mushrooms, the dish had a nice "meaty" taste, ironic since it's a vegetarian dish that is cooked in a plant based butter. You don't miss the lack of meat at all. For entrees, my friend got the poke bowl, which I did not tasted so can't attest to it, but my friend said it was good. I had the spicy pasta, which was amazing. The campanelle pasta was cooked perfectly, holding the savory, slightly spicy corn-based cream sauce in all its luscious folds. Along with roasted poblano peppers, sautéed mushrooms, marinated artichokes, and tomatoes, the ingredients all worked so well together to make a truly yummy dish. We also shared our desserts: My friend got a scoop of the vanilla fleu de sal ice cream while I opted for a scoop of the dark chocolate. Both were good, but I liked the dark chocolate as it had actual pieces of dark chocolate. Our server Kayla was amazing. So friendly and on it! She constantly checked in on us, and made sure our drink glasses were never empty. Today is just the first day of dineLA, so plenty of more opportunities to go back and try some of the other options offered! read more

My group of 7 seniors ate lunch on Saturday at 12pm for our 1st time at the Granville in Studio City for their Dine LA $25 lunch menu. If 1 guest ordered from their Dine LA menu, then the entire group had to also order from the same menu! It was all or none! We selected their berry lemonade (very tart) & iced tea; appetizers (butternut squash soup, Thai Salad, Caesar Salad; mushroom plate), entrees (Classic Hamburger & the Blue Cheese with Bacon Burger; all burgers came with homemade fried potato chips), & dessert of ice cream (chocolate, vanilla, cherry). In addition, 2 guests ordered glasses of wine ($13.50 each) & a 3rd guest ordered a cup of regular coffee. The total bill was $272.85, & included a 20% tip, tax, & food. The burgers were huge, tasty, & very juicy. The Thai salad was unexpectedly very spicy. The butternut squash soup was creamy & flavorful. The ice cream was good. The facility & restroom were clean. The noon sun shined brightly through their skylights onto some of the tables. The service was good & quick. The music was extremely loud & annoying because it made it hard to carry on conversations. Street & valet parking are available. We said in our reservation & also told the hostess in person when we arrived that we were celebrating 3 birthdays. We were disappointed that the Granville did not provide 3 celebratory ice cream with candles. After inquiring which would be better to be able to have a conversation with my guest, they indicated the outdoor patio would be better. Kudos to them since the indoor got real busy and a bit noisy. Came here for lunch with a friend with a reservation, we were seated right away and the staff is very friendly. The restaurant feels a little modern rustic with plants and modern decor. It's very bright, tall ceilings, large atmosphere. I had a hot English breakfast tea to drink, they brought out loose leaf tea in a beautiful steeping pot that allows for multiple refills. For lunch I had the Ahi Poke Bowl and sweet potato fries. The dipping sauces (blue cheese sauce specifically) with the fries are delicious. The poke bowl has a slaw and spicy noodles with these crunchy coconut crisps on the top that are such a great flavor add to this dish. It's a fresh new take on a poke bowl and I really enjoyed it! Granville is a good place to get an enjoyable meal in a casual, energetic atmosphere with friendly servers and an eclectic menu that can be adapted for folks with any number of dietary restrictions, from allergies to being vegan. It's a testament to their desire for wide appeal that they have made sure so many items can be customized, and it makes this restaurant a no-brainer if your party includes anyone with these needs. We chose to sit at the bar rather than to wait for a table on a busy Friday night, and so I can't complain that our bartender was too swamped to give us the same kind of attention as a regular server. He was, though, as friendly as could be when he was able to focus on us, and everything we received was exactly as requested, so he was definitely listening. My wife ordered a Riesling that she enjoyed quite a bit, and I had a gin martini that was very properly made. Great work. We started with an order of their Artisanal Bread, which is brushed with garlic & oil, gently grilled, and served with duck fat butter. Really tasty, and I especially appreciated that this had a mild sourdough flavor rather than the usual strong, acidic bite -- it's much more enjoyable, and the duck fat butter played very nicely off the garlic & oil already grilled into the bread. For dinner, my wife ordered her favorite thing on the menu: Grilled Salmon, which is served resting on mashed potatoes, topped with creamed corn and a Cajun red pepper sauce. The fish was beautifully cooked and had a light, buttery taste. I'm not a creamed corn guy, so I didn't sample that, but my wife loves it. For my part, I ordered the grilled Rainbow Trout, which is crusted with Pepitas and served with a light butter sauce. This was also very nicely prepared, the fish itself being very flavorful, and the crunchy crust adding a nice, nutty taste in the background. I opted for mashed potatoes instead of the veggies, and i found them a tad bland -- I added some of the butter from the bread and salt, and that perked them up. The avocado coast was by far the best according to my lady. She doesn't usually go for Mexican food but after eating Taco Trio she became a convert. I appreciate all the gluten free options available. I went with a group and didn't feel limited by the menu. The gf pancakes were delicious and a perfect sweet treat. My main meal was the sea bream. I definitely felt healthy eating it. It was satisfying but maybe lacked the flavor I was hoping for. Our server was friendly and helpful, but maybe the large Sunday evening crowd kept her from being as attentive. First time at this location--great outdoor and indoor seating. We had the Gran Fashioned (their signature Old Fashioned) and the Penicillin (Scotch, Lemon Juice, Ginger and Honey with a mist of Islay Scotch). Both were excellent and highly recommended. Food 4: Nice assortment of modern American food. Small and large plates. We started with the Brussels Sprouts and Grilled Mushrooms as appetizers. Both were great. We then had the Little Gem Caesar Salad, Black and Blue Burger, Spicy Half Chicken, and the Wagyu Beef Stroganoff, and can recommend all of them. We were in the area and met up with some family who live near Granville and who suggested we have dinner there. Overall, it worked well for us. Here is what we noticed - Metered street parking out front. - Good drink menu... Would've liked to try one of the fancy cocktails, but we all opted for a glass of wine instead. Unfortunately the red wines were served a bit too warm. - The menu is pretty broad, with both larger entrées and burgers and salads too. Between the four of us, we split the brussels sprouts and the hummus... The hummus was especially good with a mixture of pita bread and cucumbers for dipping. - My wife and I split both the Bacon and Blue burger and the Poblano Quinoa. Our server offered to have the burger split in half which was nice, but the burger was a bit dry inside, even though we asked for it to be cooked medium rare. And it took our server a long time to remember to bring the mustard I requested. The quinoa dish was quite good though. - The vibe inside is nice, but it was very loud, especially when the windows are open to the outside given the street noise. - Aside from the mustard issue, service was pretty good although our server got sort of busy at the end and it took a while for us to get our checks. Bottom line: Granville worked for what we needed, but it isn't a place that I'd want to get back to you anytime soon. read more

The Artisan Grilled Cheese Dipper contained a combination of Petit Basque, Gruyere, & Parmesan cheese with caramelized onions & garlic aioli. It also came with a side of yummy tomato bisque to dip it in. The sandwich was quite tasty. However, I wish it had more cheese as the caramelized onions were prominent. I ordered from Granville for lunch today. It was a large order. The Perri perri chicken is amazing. You've gotta try it if you haven't yet. But I put the order in through a delivery app. I had to call in and I spoke to a server named Jaden. I needed some help with the large order that I had placed and he was amazing. Help me with my order and he was so sweet. I thought issues before when ordering Granville from an app so I was extremely nervous this time and Jaden help me fix my issue and was a wonderful representation of Granville. Still a reliably good restaurant to go to with lots of options! Something for everyone. I came by for dinner with a friend. I admittedly had a bit of a wonky entry experience because we had made a reservation and upon getting to the restaurant, the hostess said I'd need to wait about 10 minutes. After standing and waiting off to the side for a few minutes, a small party of 3 came saying they had no reservation and she immediately sat them. I was so confused why I had to wait and they didn't and found that bizarre and rude. I mentioned this to her and she said my table is inside whereas she could seat them outside right away. Next time, I think the hostess should communicate those options to the guest when they have a reservation, otherwise it looks really rude for guests with reservations to have to wait when seating walk-ins right away. We ended up sitting outside and not waiting. For an appetizer, it sounds simple and "why would I pay for bread and butter" but my god, the bread and butter is delicious. The bread alone is deliciously grilled and toasted. It comes with a side of whipped butter and flaky salt. I'll dream about this for days. Simple but so good. For my main, I got the village burger on lettuce. It comes with chips. The chips were okay, some were quite stale. The burger was decent but nothing to write home about. It's funny because they ask if you're okay with all the toppings and condiments but I don't think any of them were on the burger itself, all of the condiments were off to the side. Parking can be a pain but they do have valet service and there is a parking garage not too far from there. They have a variety of food options and on the weekend they have a brunch menu too with even more yummy choices. I've always enjoyed coming here for lunch, which is why I chose it for my sister's birthday dinner. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to past visits. We had a reservation for 13 made over a month in advance, but our tables couldn't be arranged together, which made the celebration feel disconnected. Service was also frustrating, it took me about 30 minutes just trying to order one cocktail, and I was told I had to go through our server even after attempting to buy a drink at the bar. I ordered the Bacon and Blue burger which came with a big wagyu patty, caramelized onions, thick candied bacon, blue cheese, mushrooms, arugula, and horseradish aioli on a fresh brioche bun....oh my God was this tasty! I didn't want my burger to end . I upgraded to the side salad which was fresh and paired great with my burger. The salad consisted of Persian cucumbers, feta, Kalamata olives , red onion, tomato, mint, lemon-oregano vinaigrette and was delicious. For desert I ordered the Devil's Advocate flourless Chocolate Cake and was impressed as I did not know what to expect. The place was packed with friends and families all having a good time. Granville in Studio City is one of my favorite brunch/lunch spots in LA. I've been a few times and still think about some of the things I've had there. The Village Burger is solid, juicy and flavorful. but the real standout for me was the Hummus Pita Sandwich. It's honestly to die for, and I still crave it all the time. Their sweet potato fries might be the best I've ever had, crispy, perfectly seasoned, and addictive. The cocktails are excellent, and they also offer bottled wine, which is a nice touch. It's definitely not a breakfast place, think more brunch or lunch, though they did a seasonal fall pancake back in 2024 that I still dream about. I'm already looking forward to what they bring for the fall menu this year. I haven't tried their dinner yet, but it's high on my list. The chicken skillet at Granville did not disappoint. The chicken was perfectly cooked, tender on the inside with a beautiful crispy skin outside and so much flavor. The sauce brought everything together without overpowering the dish, and the sautéed bokchoi and mushrooms underneath added the perfect balance. I loved that it came out in cast iron skillet.
