Poke Bowl and Sweet Potato Fries
    Heather M.

Came here for lunch with a friend with a reservation, we were seated right away and the staff is very friendly. The restaurant feels a little modern rustic with plants and modern decor. It's very bright, tall ceilings, large atmosphere. I had a hot English breakfast tea to drink, they brought out loose leaf tea in a beautiful steeping pot that allows for multiple refills. For lunch I had the Ahi Poke Bowl and sweet potato fries. The dipping sauces (blue cheese sauce specifically) with the fries are delicious. The poke bowl has a slaw and spicy noodles with these crunchy coconut crisps on the top that are such a great flavor add to this dish. It's a fresh new take on a poke bowl and I really enjoyed it! Highly recommend this place!

I love everything about Granville!!! Each location has proven to be equally fabulous on all levels. Service is literally always outstanding. Our server today was Davis C. 10/10 for service! Thank you Davis for recommending the Pasta Alla Vodka!!! We ordered the Pasta Alla Vodka and a Poke bowl with no red onions. Both dishes were fresh, tasty and beautifully presented. Lovely interior and they also have an outdoor patio which is pet friendly. I love that they take lunch reservations too!

Adorable restaurant - great indoor/ outdoor vibe. Pasta Alla vodka with chicken was so good. Huge sprig of fresh basil. Service was outstanding

Great gastronomic experience! The Poke bowl is like a Hawaiian- Chinese fusion because instead of rice they use noddles. And the tangy-sweet taste was something new and yummy. The avocado coast was by far the best according to my lady. She doesn't usually go for Mexican food but after eating Taco Trio she became a convert. The ambiance was busy on a Sunday morning but our orders came without us even noticing the time. The reception lady was spot on when she recommended The Poke bowl and avocado toast! Parking in Studio City is always a challenge but found a public parking for 10 bucks til 11pm. Just two blocks away from Granville - it was sweet deal.

Add brunch here on a lovely Sunday, mother's Day. The wagyu Barilla tacos and consomme were spectacular. We also had a blue cheese and bacon burger with a side of fries, also, always very good. Our server, Kayla, was very good, and made our meal even better. Glad we were able to get a table quickly, on the outside, as we hit our two puppies with us. A delightful meal

Popped in during Dine LA and took advantage of their specially curated menu. Lovely interior and airy atmosphere. Appetizers and main courses are on the larger size, so sharing is certainly an option. The housemate lemonade was bright and flavorful. Mac and cheese was solid. The grilled mushrooms were fantastic - a nice variety and perfectly grilled. The lemon wedge elevated the dish nicely. The Granville salad was average; The grilled salmon we added was a large piece and well grilled. The poke bowl was delicious with a terrific variety of components making each bite flavorful. We didn't care for the cherry ice cream and the chocolate cake was okay; the whipped topping elevated it.

Tres tacos (chicken, steak, shrimp) and Butter Lettuce cups. Both Yum and great appetizers to share

Located in Sherman Oaks... so street parking can be a challenge. We lucked out with a short walk parking in the residential area. We had reservations so getting in for lunch was no problem. The restaurant is fairly busy for a weekday, so I'd recommend making reservations. We chose to dine indoors, which nice and bright. We ordered butter lettuce cups and tres tacos for appetizers. Both very tasty. For our lunch, I ordered the chipotle chicken sandwich and my SIL ordered the trout plate. All in all food and service was excellent.

Granville is a good place to get an enjoyable meal in a casual, energetic atmosphere with friendly servers and an eclectic menu that can be adapted for folks with any number of dietary restrictions, from allergies to being vegan. It's a testament to their desire for wide appeal that they have made sure so many items can be customized, and it makes this restaurant a no-brainer if your party includes anyone with these needs. We chose to sit at the bar rather than to wait for a table on a busy Friday night, and so I can't complain that our bartender was too swamped to give us the same kind of attention as a regular server. He was, though, as friendly as could be when he was able to focus on us, and everything we received was exactly as requested, so he was definitely listening. My wife ordered a Riesling that she enjoyed quite a bit, and I had a gin martini that was very properly made. Great work. We started with an order of their Artisanal Bread, which is brushed with garlic & oil, gently grilled, and served with duck fat butter. Really tasty, and I especially appreciated that this had a mild sourdough flavor rather than the usual strong, acidic bite -- it's much more enjoyable, and the duck fat butter played very nicely off the garlic & oil already grilled into the bread. For dinner, my wife ordered her favorite thing on the menu: Grilled Salmon, which is served resting on mashed potatoes, topped with creamed corn and a Cajun red pepper sauce. The fish was beautifully cooked and had a light, buttery taste. I'm not a creamed corn guy, so I didn't sample that, but my wife loves it. For my part, I ordered the grilled Rainbow Trout, which is crusted with Pepitas and served with a light butter sauce. This was also very nicely prepared, the fish itself being very flavorful, and the crunchy crust adding a nice, nutty taste in the background. I opted for mashed potatoes instead of the veggies, and i found them a tad bland -- I added some of the butter from the bread and salt, and that perked them up. I'm sure we'll be back before too long to try something else -- although my wife may not be distracted from her love for the salmon.

We had brunch at Granville and the food was delicious! The poke bowl was fresh and light and delicious. The French toast was cooked perfectly. As always, the service here is fantastic. We will be back!

The food here is fantastic! They always have great specials, dine LA is a good one! They have a nice variety on their menu, there is something for everyone! Over the years I've tried my way through the menu and enjoyed all of it. The drinks are also delicious! Portions and prices are fair, the quality and presentation is always good! Nice option if you are looking for a light and healthy lunch or dinner in the area!

We discovered this bar in early February when we came for the first time before our anniversary dinner reservations somewhere else. The drinks are fantastic and the service is always quick and on point! This is now our third time here and we love how Jackson, Robbie, and Steve take good care of us! Happy hour is great it's from 3-6pm and the selection is delicious! Ambiance is open air and we prefer to sit at the bar. This is one of our new fave spots!

Granville is always consistent and always a good time. This location is super fun and has beautiful ambiance. My friend and I stopped in for brunch and were quickly seated. We both opted for their mint matcha (which was their only matcha option- hopefully they expand their selection soon!). I went with the Shakshuka and my friend had the breakfast sandwich. The Shakshuka was delicious and the grilled bread that accompanied it was absolutely perfect. Prices are fair and the restrooms are clean. Service was average.

We were in the area and met up with some family who live near Granville and who suggested we have dinner there. Overall, it worked well for us. Here is what we noticed - Metered street parking out front. - Good drink menu... Would've liked to try one of the fancy cocktails, but we all opted for a glass of wine instead. Unfortunately the red wines were served a bit too warm. - The menu is pretty broad, with both larger entrées and burgers and salads too. Between the four of us, we split the brussels sprouts and the hummus... The hummus was especially good with a mixture of pita bread and cucumbers for dipping. - My wife and I split both the Bacon and Blue burger and the Poblano Quinoa. Our server offered to have the burger split in half which was nice, but the burger was a bit dry inside, even though we asked for it to be cooked medium rare. And it took our server a long time to remember to bring the mustard I requested. The quinoa dish was quite good though. - The vibe inside is nice, but it was very loud, especially when the windows are open to the outside given the street noise. - Aside from the mustard issue, service was pretty good although our server got sort of busy at the end and it took a while for us to get our checks. Bottom line: Granville worked for what we needed, but it isn't a place that I'd want to get back to you anytime soon.

Of course, Studio City has a village full of good restaurant choices, but since I was already a fan of their other location on the Westside, The Six on Pico Blvd., I decided to give this one a try. So Saturday brunch it was! We arrived earlier to avoid crowds at 10:45, and we had the place all to ourselves until 11:15. Reservations were made via Yelp, but we obviously didn't need them. I was a bit surprised, but small groups eventually trickled in slowly. ** THE CHOW ** My brunch date ordered a California omelet, made with brie, red bell, caramelized onions, and topped with half an avocado. The breakfast potatoes on the side were very yummy and the omelet was tasty too. Did I mention I'm a glutton for brunch? Well, I decided to eat one like one. And the Knife & Fork Chicken + Waffles was just right for my appetite. It satisfied the fried chicken cravings I had racked up over an entire week. I liked that the chicken was boneless, skinless, buttermilk-battered, and crispy. The fancy "red devil gravy" is basically a watery Tapatio for dunking or (if you're like me) for drowning your chicken in heat. Don't worry, they've got Cholula as well. Also, I love the effort in naming this menu item. However, I was a bit disappointed to find out that the jalapeño rosemary syrup on the online menu was only regular maple syrup IRL. Overall, the waffles are quite dense so it adds a good balance of hot 'n' sweet. ** THE SERVICE ** Servers at The Six were attentive. Food was delivered quickly. There were frequent check-ins with various staff members at each of the tables. The wait staff worked well together, covering each other's duties -- that was nice to see. ** THE VIBE ** There are lots of Instagram-worthy backdrops and charming little signs strewn around the restaurant. The decor and vibe give a nod to the "Society of Six" artists from the 1920s Prohibition era, who lived together in a cabin in Northern California that they dubbed the "Chow House", where they inspired each other in creating art. The reclaimed wood planks and cast iron skillets are used as plates on several menu items as a subtle accent and cozy, cabin vibe. I imagine twinkle lights add to the effect during the evening time. Next time I want to shovel brunch into my pie hole like a bottomless mimosa glass, I'll come back for the Apple Pie French Toast. That's with a side of bacon (not the bacon inside the French toast as the menu writeup may suggest). I hear that the cinnamon apple pie filling is amazing. I guess I'll have to come back for seconds and pair it with a bottomless Mimosa for $25 (avail Saturdays & Sundays, 10am - 3pm).

It's a restaurant with an overall speakeasy vibe BUT is not dark and foreboding. Rather, its high ceilings, well spaced out tables, and appropriately lit dining/bar space has a welcoming, cool vibe! And the music to fill the space before the live music was well, my kinda music - vibey 80s/90s hip hop. On top of that, the STAFF - the folks we met on a Monday (senior citizen hour) night were incredibly kind and attentive. We did stay through the first set of musicians that performed and it was great. Loud, but not loud enough that me and my friend couldn't still talk. Now onto the food. A nice surprise, considering this is a music joint! That bread was solid. The side portions decent - mushrooms and broccoli were fine. The steak was a generous size, cooked appropriately medium rare, and came with a unique side of bone marrow salsa. That was a nice, interesting touch. Was it the BEST food I've ever had? Not exactly, BUT it was the best food as part of a music joint, in the Valley. So the 5 star rating is really for the OVERALL experience.

You throw a birthday in the mix and there's a little pressure to make this the right kind of evening. The vibes were certainly not absent. There was the tastefully low mood lighting, and of course, the tunes of a scattered jazz jam session. We get to our seats and are told the place was designed to heighten and maximize the patrons' listening experience, no matter where they were in the establishment. The menu wasn't overwhelming from a volume standpoint. It screamed a curated adventure through a brand of Americana that knew it had ethnic roots on different continents. That's a cool prospect to dig into but knew we weren't going to order the whole menu. My wife and I were still feeling like we had to get our very first selections right though. More pressure. We started with the Hokkaido Milk Buns (super recommended) and the Wagyu Tartare. I'm such a poor sucker for bakery bun from an Asian grocery store. 99 Ranch has a lot of my money because it. These were perfectly fresh and airy. The sweet butter was a good sidekick, but with the right bread that sits with your soul, you never really need much for it. The tartare did taste as advertised. And more sexy bread in the toast! In this case, the toast was the sweet butter. You didn't need it. You could have spooned the tartare like it was ice cream, but you certainly didn't mind the brioche slices tagging along. There were our mains: Dungeness crab campanelle, and the braised lamb pasta. We went back and forth about ordering a side of roasted carrots, but you only have one specific birthday to start your mid-thirties, so I opted for it. If you've been reading my reviews, you know I don't go out of my way for seafood. I'll have a bite. I'll be as openminded as a foodie should, but it won't be invited to my cookout. I didn't hate it. The miso and aji Amarillo peppers gave this a really familiar tuna casserole profile. My wife asked me not to tell anyone that. But it brought me back to my childhood, where even then, I was not crazy about seafood, but I was mature in my thinking enough to know the casserole was going to feed me. If you observed us that night, I might've snuck a couple of forked noodles to taste the roasted almonds and some of the uni residue with the cheesy tones. The braised lamb pasta was the richest, fullest flavor I've had for pasta in a while. The lamb was abundant and savory and lean, providing such a serious punch when supported by the padano. It was a smidge creamy, and greasy - optimally speaking. It had such a dark and cheesy-bitter personality. The charred green onions probably were in the mix more than I anticipated. Roasted root vegetables are just very satisfying potatoes, at the end of the day. The carrots ate more like fun, herbaceous fries, showered in a vinegar concoction. Loved it. The chumichurri and togarashi spices aligned for a peppery bite. The vinegar did give the carrots a pickled skin so it was helpful for cutting through the brightness of the crab campanelle and the boldness of the braised lamb. Verse took the pressure on the night and gave us food baby diamonds. I'd say we're encouraged to check out more of the supper club scene after our visit. If the bar was set at any place, it was for the sensibility of how the music pairs with the food. The strings and the particular pitter-pat on the drums kept us going. It kept us talking. It kept us eating.

I had to get use to sipping my margarita like a civilized person, rather than gulping it down. We started with the queso fundido. Too bad it cools so quickly and is so thick. It had a trio of salsas on top. And the chips are excellent. They brought us plenty of refills on chips. We ordered the salsa sampler. Three different salsas in tiny ramekins. All tasty, but usually Mexican restaurants give you salsa and chips for free. We had to spend $18. I had a chile rellano unlike any I have had before. A lot of black beans, a blistered chile and some cojita cheese sprinkled on top. I am used to a chile rellano filled with cheese. It was just okay. My husband had the carne aside. Basically a steak and roasted potatoes. Nice steak, but nothing Mexican about it. The potatoes were ordinary. Our guest ordered AGUACHILE DE CHAYOTE squash, pineapple aguachile, cilantro macho. She wanted a vegetarian option. This was a cold soup. She had no idea what she was getting. I guess we should have asked. All in all the menu is confusing. I have eaten Mexican food throughout LA and travelled extensively in Mexico, and this was all very new to me. They did tell us at the beginning that things were good to share. This would have been a good sharing dish with the chips. It was very unusual. The dessert flan was very tasty with pecans and a crispy churro like garish. We would have like a little more explanation on the menu of what we were ordering. Every item is unexpected and out of the ordinary. Daisy is a good place to go for a taste adventure, good margaritas and a hefty bill.

Echoing what everyone else has been saying - the service is SO slow. It was about 45 minutes before we were able to order our second drink and our water glasses were empty. They have so many runners bringing the drinks out but only a few servers and, from the looks of it, one bartender (on a Saturday night - what?!). The server was saying he was trying to find a manager to help out but they were nowhere to be found. Clearly management is fine with these service times since they're still making $$$. The drinks were delicious, and I loved that there were heaters on the patio (though they did get very hot at times). Our server was so kind and brought us a celebratory drink. I do wish there were more explanations with the beverages, especially for the Paid Vacation as most people will not realize you're supposed to bite into the buzz button for the tingly sensation. I would come back, but need some time for my wallet to recover first, haha!
