I can't eat a lot of the cuisine due to a legume allergy, so I only ordered the feta cheese plate: five squares of feta dusted with herbs & spices, persian cucumber, tomato, mint, & Greek olives. The Yerevan cocktail was great - an unusual take on a Manhattan with banana liqueur. This would be a romantic spot for just drinks and apps, as it was chill and quiet. There's hookah as well, an extensive flavour menu and a designated "hookah guy" to attend to your setup. There's parking in the lot next door until 10:30pm - be sure to move your car by then, or it will be locked in the garage with an additional charge overnight (this didn't happen to me; I heeded other Yelp reviews and noted the signs around the garage). HEADLINE: No Laptops Allowed (?!???!!) I was spearheading a small work meeting (4 people) and this restaurant is centrally located to everyone, so we made a reservation for a Wednesday at 7pm. Among us, we had one small macbook pro for note taking. As soon as we were seated outside (among a largely empty floor) a gentleman on staff came up to me and said "Just so you know, if you are planning on using your computer, you can't." I was stunned for a minute but then approached him and asked for clarification. He said it has to do with management and that no computers are allowed. I explained that the entire reason we came there was to have a very lowkey dinner meeting and that nowhere on the website does it say that patrons can't use a laptop. Our server got involved and then talked to the manager, came back and said this one time we can use it, that they will make an exception, but the rule is no computers. We ended up staying there for convenience but I feel like the $400 we spent should have gone somewhere conducive to making a living and surviving in this world, and I have been thinking about how much I regret going there for an entire week now. read more

Ordered for delivery for a party of 5. The good reviews lead me wrong. Average food and the chicken skewers were just okay . The rice was tasty as well as the hummus . The dishes also didn't come with a salad didn't realize there was an up charge for that. I guess I have been spoiled by ZANKOU and their generous portions and extra sauces . O & G sent one garlic sauce for 5 entrees! They also buried the pita bread under the rice so it got soggy no place does that ! The pita usually comes in a side bag . Came here from my mother's birthday last weekend. First and foremost it's in the back of the building so don't go to the very front. Walk down the driveway and you'll see it on your left side. Secondly, it is outdoors, although it is covered so dress accordingly. Our one critique about the entire experience was the bugs. Maybe they should invest in those little table top fans that swat away the bugs. But other than that service was pretty good, food was excellent, and the atmosphere was phenomenal. Pricewise you get a lot of bang for the buck. We got the Bronzino, the beef plate which has the ground beef kebab and the fillet and we got the fillet plate as well. I've been to Olive & Grill twice now. The first visit was in the summer of 2024, and it was very hot. Since this is an outdoor-only restaurant, they had misters running, which I appreciated--but unfortunately, the mist got into our food. It made the dining experience uncomfortable, and I wasn't thrilled about that. We gave it another shot more recently, and I'm glad we did. The second visit was definitely better. However, one thing I didn't love was being seated at a very small table. I get that it was a Friday night and they probably had reservations lined up, but at the time we arrived, there was only one other person dining and a large group. It felt unnecessarily cramped. On to the food--which is where this place shines! We ordered the Armenian coffee, which was strong and delicious. Their house lentil soup was absolutely mouthwatering, made with lentils, cumin, aleppo pepper, chopped onions, butter, and chicken bouillon. The fattoush salad was another standout--refreshing and packed with flavor. I loved how they served it with a whole pita on top that they crack into the salad right before serving. For an appetizer, we shared the Olive & Grill trio, which was nice and a great way to sample a few things. For our entrée, we had the combo beef and chicken lula. While not the best kabobs I've ever had, they were still good and satisfying. The first time we came I got the chicken served with bellpeppers and the rice was more flavorful. This is an outdoor dining restaurant. The ambiance is really nice. They serve mix of Middle Eastern food. Portions are smaller compared to the other similar restaurants. Great service, super cute place, and even good live music on a Sunday (and usually I think music is annoying while I'm trying to talk to people). Suggested Improvements: $6 for an iced tea is unnecessary. Still not sure why we were brought two bottles of water to pay for when we just wanted tap water. This is an outdoor restaurant with a roof cover so please dress accordingly! They do have space heaters but I always need an extra jacket even with those. They offer hookah that I didn't spot on the menu so if you have sensitive lungs be aware as other tables near you can be smoking. Parking can be done via paid metered parking on Ventura OR if you come after 5 pm or on a holiday or a Sunday in the nearby Wells Fargo parking lot. Our waitress was kind and lovely and told us on weekends from 8:30-10 they have belly dancers perform! but recommended making a reservation during these times to guarantee seating. The portions are large (we took 1/2 home each) and fresh. I will absolutely be returning and likely during said belly dancing performances. LA sunset - 4/5, I loved the combo of vodka : cucumber : mint though it was not a strong drink Ras Kebbel (Ishli Kofta) 5/5, well seasoned tasty beef stuffed inside that pairs beautifully with lemon juice drizzled on top but the shell is a little hard and thereby challenging to bite through Combo beef and chicken lulas 4.5/5 This comes with a mildly spicy sauce as well as a garlic sauce. The spice especially paired well with the chicken Lula. The rice was seasoned and this plate comes with a baked tomato. If you arrive after 5pm park next door in the Wells Fargo parking lot. The garage closes at 10:30 on weekdays at least so you will have to move your car. The ambiance is romantic with minimal elegant decor. Our server Elle was warm and very helpful the entire night. I ordered the lamb chops which were good but I would have enjoyed my entree more if it was hotter. We were celebrating my birthday so ended the meal with the French Napoleon. Randomly pick this place just because of the location and where my friends and I normally meet. It was such a pleasant surprise. The ambience is perfect. It was kind of chilly. We shared the sampler with the dips and pita, and then we all really enjoyed our entrées. . I had the beef combo plate and the filet mignon and even the Lula were cooked to perfection. My friends had the vegetable and the chicken Shawarma and they loved it.. We had a reservation right at opening with a party of 10 for a birthday brunch. We tried to order cocktails but were told they didn't have any of the ingredients available until dinner. We opted to order classic cocktails like a mojito but they did not have any mint available. When it came for food, we were told any of the popular items (with a fire symbol on it) would not come out for an additional hour. it was a little chilly, but the table we were at.. had a broken heat lamp. The service was a little slow but it seemed as though our server was the only staff for the entire restaurant because by the time our server got around to placing our order, an hour had already passed. We ordered espresso martinis and margaritas and our server had to jump back behind the counter to prepare them all so it may have been that they were short staffed that day. After placing our order, the entrees took an additional hour to come out... then noticed that kitchen had forgotten to provide sauce with our dishes. It was difficult to flag the server down as they were busy waiting on other tables due to being short staffed. The entire brunch took 3 hours total and by the end of it was when other servers had come in to help. Im not sure if it was a off day but it seems as though the restaurant was not ready for lunch/brunch service at all--lacking multiple ingredients or enough staff to wait tables. The hot appetizers were very good. For the entrees we got the combo beef plate and the beef shawarma. Both were very good. The menu is extensive for Mediterranean food and I was quite impressed with the atmosphere. I can see this place being a hit in the summer time. It was chilly the night we went and we had to change tables to get away from the draft behind us and in front of a closer heater. When we changed seats all was well. I can't believe that we haven't found this place before. We were looking for a spot that would have last minute reservations available for a Sunday night. I love Mediterranean food, so when this popped up as being available nearby, I was very intrigued. I did miss the whole Hookah part, and I was a little bit worried when we arrived and saw a few tables partaking. I didn't want to be overwhelmed by smoke. What I didn't realize is that this entire location is a giant outside patio. We had zero issues with any of the tables around us who were doing hookah. The patio area is beautiful. They have it nicely decorated with greenery, lights and plenty of heaters for whenever California decides to actually have winter weather. Drinks were poured well and arrived in beautiful glasses. We started with the feta cheese platter that came with fresh tomatoes, feta, olives and cucumbers and we also shared the Soujoukh with Hummus. Both of these dishes were flavorful and fresh. I had the chicken combo plate with a salad and a side of the grilled eggplant. I think everyone at the table ordered a different variation of the kabob plates and everyone loved their choices. The kabobs were cooked fresh, the garlic sauce was spicy with garlic flavor and the eggplant was also roasted perfectly. We will definitely be stopping by here for dinner again and I am pretty curious about the brunch menu as well. read more
