This place was awesome! We had the specials. They were, tres tacos and the huevos rancheros. Super fresh and tasty. Our server was Elza and she was very friendly. A delicious diner in the valley. It's one of the better diners in the area which is already full of great and historic diners. It feels like you are eating in someone's home. I would classify this place as a classic country style diner. The sort of place where locals lineup to have their daily meal and there is always a revolving board of specials. They have a fairly large menu with a ton of options on it and service is very fast. Our waiter was also really polite and we were checked in on many times by many different employees. They have a small parking lot attached to the front of the restaurant, otherwise it will be free street parking in the neighborhood behind. As mentioned, the menu is pretty large so it took me a minute to decide which dish I wanted to order. I ended up choosing the Eggs Alla Fisdale because Eggs Benedict is my favorite breakfast dish. This one is unique because they use a cheddar cheese sauce, which basically tasted like a cheesy hollandaise. It was honestly delicious and really made the meal. The eggs were cooked perfectly and I loved it. We also split a Banana Pudding for dessert and it was good but nothing special. We ordered some Caramel Lattes to begin our meal, and they were very tasty and strong. I would recommend them. Overall a delicious diner with fair pricing and free parking. The service was overall good but I did get a lot of stares when I walked in which made me feel very uncomfortable. They didn't have many vegan options so I ordered the breakfast potatoes. The breakfast potatoes looked more like home fries or crispy thick fries sautéed with veggies. The dish tasted ok. I might visit again and ask for more sautéed veggies on the potatoes. Good Neighbor Restaurant is a Studio City Staple. This quant little spot has been doing breakfast, lunch and brunch for 50 years. Its been a long while since I've been here and it was nice to be back, however I was sad to see that they no longer serve coffee in proper cups - everything is in paper or plastic. Coffee is served in a paper cup. Water in plastic. When I go to a restaurant and sit down for breakfast, I'd like to drink coffee out of a ceramic cup - but hey that's just me. On the positive side, the service was nice and friendly. Elza took good care of us. The Corn Beef Hash & Eggs dish was tasty, and the Corn Beef was not too salty. The Eggs Ala Fisdale is also very good. This dish is like Eggs Benedict but instead of Hollandaise sauce, they serve a Cheese Salsa. On both dishes we asked for the Cottage Fries, which were really like French Fries served with Green Bell Peppers and Onions. The side of bacon was just as requested - crispy.
