Had no idea this cafe existed. Has a really quite extensive menu for the size of the establishment. Saw some folks drinking root beer floats which is very fun. Decor is something out of a 1950s Americana /grandmas living room/Cracker Barrel fever dream which is kitschy and fun and interesting to stare at as you try to choose a sandwich. Service was kind and attentive and they bus the food to your seat. Would def make a repeat visit esp to sit out in their spacious outdoor patio space.

I stumbled across this place on Yelp and was perplexed by its description that I had to drive out to North Hollywood and check it out. It's the cutest and quaintest little spot. It's a bit quirky too but in all the best ways. The people working there are absolutely precious... so kind and warm. The atmosphere is welcoming and rustic. I adore the outside garden patio on a perfect La Day . My fave part- the food. Sandwiches and so satisfying. The SOUP is scrumptious. They even season the raw veggies to perfection. On Tuesdays they have an open mic night for comics. How fun. Check it out and support local businesses!

Great food, great service, and such a cool vibe! I had the muffuletta and it was delicious. Will be coming back!

LOVE this place for sandwiches. Healthy and everything is so fresh. I love the filling ingredients. I only have two pictures but I've tried so many items on the menu and everything is as delicious as the other. The place is very cute it looks antique with a cute patio outside that feels like you're in a garden and the employees are nice. Will be coming here for a while.

Never ever had a chance to use one of these antique toilets.

One of those hidden little gems. Been here since 1996!! Service was so good, super attentive and charming gals. Great place for lunch and snacks. Coffee and smoothies available. Home-made cookies!! Seating is plentiful and there IS Wi-Fi available if you wanna come hang and get some work done.

I've been coming to Cahuenga General Store for over a decade. My most recent visit this past April was the best yet. We ordered two sandwiches, the New Yorker (roast beef, ham, and cheddar) and the Bleu Bird (sliced chicken, bacon, bleu cheese, Swiss, caramelised onions, and tart apple slices. Both were served on warm French rolls with a raw veg mix of carrots and cucumbers, salted and peppered. One may select a bag of chips instead of the crudités when ordering. The New Yorker was excellent, but the Bleu Bird was superb. The bread and the chicken were so good, and I don't even like Swiss or bacon, but they elevated the flavour of the sandwich rather than overpowering it, complemented by the crisp, juicy apple. We also ordered a bottled root beer and a lemonade. The lemonade was made from scratch right in front of us, and was perfectly tart-sweet and refreshing. We sat outside on the patio, which was breezy and shady on a typical April SoCal day. Hummingbirds and butterflies buzzed by. The pleasant and efficient waitstaff brought everything out to us when it was ready. We had the patio to ourselves on an April Thursday. There is indeed an old-timey-looking "general store" inside - an 1800s Wild West aesthetic with antique items on display, and a few products like pretty notecards available for purchase. I'm not sure about parking as we live within walking distance, but on a weekday, there should be some street parking available right in front.

It has a lot of flavor with a subtle hint of spice that sets it apart from a standard vanilla latte. It does lean pretty sweet, so I'd recommend asking for it a little less sweet if that's your preference. The drinks are also reasonably priced, which is another reason I keep coming back. They have a selection of pastries as well, although I haven't had a chance to try them yet. Overall, this is an easy cafe to recommend. Good coffee, fair prices, and a comfortable atmosphere, make it a spot I find myself returning to regularly.

If you're into pour-over or single-origin coffee, they clearly care about quality beans and proper brewing. What really sets Coffea apart is how welcoming it feels. Whether you're grabbing a quick morning coffee before work in Burbank, meeting a friend in Toluca Lake, or looking for a quiet place to work near North Hollywood, this spot fits all three perfectly. From the moment I arrived, both baristas the RED HAIR young woman and the BRUNETTE demonstrated a level of professionalism, attentiveness, and interpersonal awareness that elevated what could have been an ordinary coffee stop into a genuinely memorable experience. Their ability to create a welcoming atmosphere while maintaining efficiency reflects a strong understanding that hospitality extends beyond simply preparing beverages it is about cultivating an environment where customers feel acknowledged and valued. Their communication was warm yet polished, and their positive demeanor was clearly authentic rather than performative. The coffee itself was equally impressive. It exhibited a well balanced flavor profile with remarkable depth, smoothness, and freshness, evidencing both technical proficiency and careful attention to preparation. Every detail suggested that quality is treated as a standard rather than an aspiration. In an industry where consistency often distinguishes exceptional establishments from average ones, these two baristas exemplify the caliber of service that fosters lasting customer loyalty. Their professionalism, coupled with the outstanding quality of the coffee, leaves little doubt that I will be returning. Experiences of this standard deserve both recognition and appreciation.

The barista was playing games on his phone while I was speaking to him, and I could clearly see that he was still on his phone because of the way he was positioned. I was already frustrated by the lack of attention, but things got worse after I finished ordering. After I tapped my card, I was told that there had been a mistake and that I had only been charged 9 cents, so I needed to come back and pay again. Mistakes happen, and I would have completely understood if he had simply apologized and handled the situation professionally. Instead, he continued playing on his phone while dealing with me. The entire interaction came across as incredibly rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Customer service should be the bare minimum, especially when someone is taking the time to come into your establishment and spend their money. Unfortunately, this experience was enough to make me realize that this would be my first and last visit. There are plenty of coffee shops where customers can get good coffee and basic courtesy.
