Came here for something to eat and watch the Rams game after a nice walk on the Burbank bike path. Ordered a tuna wrap and fries well done. The tuna wrap was good - probably would have taken half home had I eaten more fries which were also good and a large portion. Our server was good, the food came out quickly and when finished he came to pick it up. I wish I would have gotten his name to say something nice. This restaurant has been around forever, has a few different areas to sit in and I was given a seat as soon as I walked in with no reservation at around 6pm. The highlight for us at this diner this morning was the holiday decorations. It is decorated so festive and it's fun given the warm temps this December. It doesn't feel like the holidays do Coral Cafe's decor was appreciated. Service was kind but spotty. Forgetfulness was happening with our server but that's probably because their section was large, I'm hoping. Otherwise, the server was distracted because I had to ask for the same item three times before it made it to the table. The hollandaise was cold on our eggs Benedict. The entire plate of food was lukewarm. The taste wasn't bad but the cold hollandaise sauce was a huge disappointment. This was our first time in and I am not sure we'll be back. My partner and I took his parents here for brunch after picking them up from the Burbank airport when they came to visit. We are all originally from the Midwest and I am constantly on the lookout for a chicken fried steak in Los Angeles, and I must say that this is the best I have found so far! The chicken fried steak & eggs comes with 3 eggs, 2 pieces of toast, + hashbrowns or fruit (I obv went for hashbrowns because you might as well go all in). The hashbrowns were great as well. My partner got their breakfast burrito, which he thought was filling and satisfying even though there are obviously better places to get a breakfast burrito around LA. My father-in-law also enjoyed the chicken fried steak & eggs and my mother-in-law enjoyed her omelette. Everyone finished their plates except for me - it was just a lot of food! The server was pleasant and attentive. She seemed to know several of the people who walked in while we sat there eating. The vibe is very casual, so my partner's parents didn't feel out of place. If you're looking for a solid diner, this place is absolutely worth checking out. Also, they had a display case with some very yummy-looking desserts. Finding this place was a happy accident and I'm so glad we did because this is what diners are supposed to be! With their big menu, generous portions, refillable coffee, amazing staff and super chill atmosphere, this restaurant checks all the boxes. We ordered their big breakfast (I think that's what it was called lol) which came with eggs, bacon, ham and pancakes!! It was big enough to share! We were driving around jn the area waiting for my car to be fixed and found this spot. It's pretty big inside with that old school diner feel. There were pictures on the wall of Marilyn Monroe, 3 stooges, the old times. It was about 10:30am on a Wednesday and the place was full with families, friends, and some single diners as well. I went with my husband and I ordered the french toast combo while he had the pancakes combo with hash browns and coffee. The food came out fast! The portions were huge and delicious. I loved my french toast the most. The sausage was a bit too salty for me and sunny side egg could use more seasoning but still good. My husband didn't care for the coffee he felt it was watered down and he didn't like the butter. We were Satisfied for the most part and had left overs. Their menu is huge and I would definitely like to come back and try some other things next time I'm in the area. All the staff were really friendly as well and seemed to know all of the patrons. From breakfast, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, dinners, salads, and things in between. Most items are $18-$22. Thankfully they have coke products. Thats a big hit. We ordered a Philly Cheesesteak with fries. As well as a BBW chicken breast with sides. It was a massive amount. Food was okay. Next time I will opt in to try their summer menu with chicken kebabs. I don't know what's happening to the quality of food at The Coral Café. The steak is always good. However, their baked potatoes are old, yellow inside and appear to have been baked over and over. I sent mine back and the waiter brought me other one and the same condition. Why not just ask me if I'd like to choose some other type of potato instead of pushing old food out the door. My spouse and I decided to have lunch at Coral Cafe since we were nearby anyway. We chose to sit in the back patio, and we were lucky that there was still one available table. The restaurant was quite busy. After ordering something to drink, after being asked by the busboy, this absolutely wonderful and lovely waitress gave us the pleasure of helping us with our order. My spouse had a tuna melt with fries, and I had a crispy chicken B.L.T.A. with fries that was so delicious. Also, my spouse was quite happy with his sandwich. Their fries are one of the best you can find. The portion sizes of the meals, enormous for the price. Their menu itself- so much to offer. When we were ready to ask for our check, I did ask that wonderful waitress for her name, but I feel so bad, I forgot, and the bill she wrote down the gentleman at the register kept it. After we, ready to pay, we had to go to the front entrance to pay, and there was a gentleman behind a counter with a cash register. I think he might've been the owner. There were also some women sitting behind some other smaller counter. There I paid the bill for both of us. My spouse already looked at the cakes and pies. We weren't sure if we wanted something sweet to take home or not. But as soon as I paid, that gentleman was on his phone and sat somewhere else and talked to someone on the phone ( we felt uncomfortable going to him and interrupting him) and that lady on the other counter didn't even look at us, so we had some questions about what cake was what. When you walk in you see beautiful cakes and pies on display that change up every day. alongside their milkshakes and ice cream sundaes on the menu, you can easily have a fun time celebrating at Coral Cafe. The service is pretty quick and the food is fresh. There are a lot of tables and booth inside the restaurant and a bar you can sit at to really get a classic diner feel. The servers are always kind and attentive, and treat you like family. They bring around water, refills and coffee all the time and make sure that your experience is a good one. I have been to Coral Cafe so many times over the years. They used to be open 24/7 which was so fun cause you could go and get a piece of pie or a milkshake in the middle of the night. We've gone from three stars to four stars to five. Why? Consistency, vibe, and food. Several times a year I direct shows nearby and that's our go-to place sometimes before sometimes after the show or rehearsals. They have excellent everything, basically. A good friend and I met for lunch at Coral Cafe yesterday. We were seated immediately upon entering the restaurant. This place isn't fancy; the furniture is a bit old and dated, but that's kind of what you expect when you come to a diner like Coral Cafe. The menu is so big here that we weren't ready to order when the waiter initially came by so he gave us some time to peruse menu. When he he came back, we ordered a tuna melt and the open face pot roast sandwich. We were both shocked and how fast were orders were ready. The pot roast was a little tougher than I would like, but the delicious gravy more than made up for it. The mashed potatoes and veggies were also yummy. My friend said the tuna melt was a little greasy for her taste, but she enjoyed it nonetheless. The price is here are just right. We will definitely be back. read more

Food was good but it's insane how loud it was inside this restaurant. Had to shout just to be heard. Our waitress also took 30 minutes to bring us our check after asking if we were ready for it, leaving us in the center of this hurricane of decibel hell.
