    Brisket

We use to frequent this place often and the bbq was delicious. As time has passed, the quality has declined and meat has become old and dry. Unfortunately I don't think I will be coming back.

Explorers plate with tri tip, chicken, cornbread waffle, and beans

The vibe was great and the decor was super cute, but the food did not stay warm and was somewhat dry. I ordered the explorers plate with the tri-tip and chicken breast along with a side of beans and the cornbread waffle. I came at an off peak time so the food seemed microwaved and most of it had gotten cold midway through the plate. Both the beef and the cornbread were very dry. The slice of bread was a very boring wonder bread style piece. The chicken breast was tender and the vegetables were a nice addition. Service was very friendly and I would be interested in trying this place again when they are busy enough to have fresher BBQ.

    Extremely dry brisket, inedible.

When Matt and Scouts Honor had its own location in 2021, the brisket and ribs were magical--as good as anything I had growing up in Texas. We were excited for Scouts Honor to team up with Basecamp and have been recurring customers for years. Unfortunately we have experienced a steep quality drop over the past 2 years. Brisket used to fall apart with a fork, ribs would melt in your mouth. These days, the meat quality is very inconsistent, often dry and tough. This has been the case too often to call it an off-night. Tonight was the most egregious case--I could not eat more than a couple bites of the brisket, as it was nearly leather in toughness (see pic). The chicken was equally dry and while it pained us we threw away both and had a cereal dinner. Unfortunately I think we've given this place enough chances and we're moving on. I hope at some point Scouts Honor can return to its former glory.

    More dead links....

A miserable bbq dinner was picked up here!!! $100.00 out the window! Look at the pictures and you be the judge. Cooking was done to until the ingredients died. The fat seemed to have some meat attached but not much. Salty and dry ... I'd be embarrassed if I'd cooked this. The pit master should be run out of town! No interaction when they were contacted. You should have the HONOR to make good on this!!!!!!

Love this place. The brisket and pulled pork are delicious. The brisket with fries and queso is a crowd-pleaser. You can bring your dog and sit outside on the patio.

I'm actually really sad about leaving this review. This place used to be incredible. large serving sizes, Excellent food but since they've hit their new location, it seems everything is gone Downhill. portion sizes are very sad and pathetic and quality Has drastically decreased. I used to order from them a few times a week at their old location and now I probably will not order from here again. This is my $15 brisket Caesar salad substitute for chicken (chicken was SO dry). And it is meager. It is so small and for $15 I could make a family size chicken Caesar salad that's literally the same quality. Super unfortunate and it makes me really sad. I was hopeful they'd made their epic comeback only to be entirely disappointed.

Piotato salad - fresh with dill and not overly salty like most potato salad. But it wasn't my favorite side.

I'll be back for wings and to try other dishes! Highly recommend the food here! Hidden gem! Yum!!!

Trooper Tri-Tip Sandwich onion rings Mac & queso, chicken sandwich

We planned our dinner to coincide with Scouts Honor and it was great. We ordered the tri-tip sandwich with Mac and queso, and the chicken club with onion rings. The brioche with the tri-tip was exactly as I'd hoped and the toasted bread on the chicken was perfectly done. The Mac was rich and al dente and the rings were well done as we'd requested. The staff is super friendly and we nabbed a table for two outside which had a lovely atmosphere. Definitely can't wait to try other items on the menu! As an fyi we've enjoyed the smash cheeseburger previously and I look forward to having it again.

Scout's Honor BBQ lives in a weird place in the LA BBQ scene. It's not as sad as oven made BBQ, but it also doesn't sit as a peer among the craft BBQ spots like Moo's Craft in Lincoln Heights. Somehow, the BBQ has a hint of real smoke, but it's pretty weak. There is a lot of seasoning on the brisket. The point of the brisket actually tastes pretty good. But it isn't deeply seasoned with the clean smoke you'd expect from craft BBQ. The flat is equally seasoned, but is a bit dry. The seasoning is good, but it's different. Reads more like a twist on pot roast than an actual BBQ brisket. It's really weird, because you can physically see them smoking the meat on a Southern Pride smoker during the day. Bludso's Bar and Q, my second favorite spot in town, uses similar smokers to Scout's. But the smoke and seasoning is way better there. The ribs at Scout's Honor taste like they hit it with a hint of smoke and basted in BBQ sauce while they cooked. It's like oven baked ribs that have some smoke flavor. The potato salad was just straight up bland. The fries were fine. Overall, the place is fine if you want BBQ that's a step above the oven-cooked variety you'd get at Ribs USA. The smoke flavor was there, but it was bitter. Tasted like green wood. The meats were fatty, but dry. Seems like it had been cut ahead of time and oxidized for an hour or so. The service was great, though. The team there is super nice. The ambience is great. I want them to win. Burbank needs a great craft BBQ spot. But they've got some work to do before they join the ranks of the best BBQ joints in Los Angeles.

Sit on the patio to enjoy the full effect of the fairy lights, fireplace and cozy spaces meant for an intimate date. I had their Old Fashioned which was banana flavored for summer. The banana was a more subtle finish, not sweet, but I still prefer their peach version and wish it was also on the menu. The deviled eggs are just the right bite for drinks. We also had the flatbread and hummus, made with green garbanzo beans and served with watermelon radish and pita bread. TIP: if you like biscuits, order theirs! - Broken Compass Tiki…read more My girlfriend and I absolutely loved Broken Compass Tiki. I originally found it on TikTok, followed up with a few YouTube videos, and knew I had to check it out the next time we were in Burbank. It completely lived up to the hype. Parking can be a little challenging since it's in Burbank, but we got lucky and found a street parking spot nearby. If you don't get as lucky, driving around the block or into the surrounding neighborhood should eventually turn something up. We arrived about 20 minutes after they opened, and there were already several people inside. By the time we left, the place was filling up quickly, so it's definitely a popular spot. I surprised my girlfriend by keeping the destination a secret and just telling her we were going somewhere fun with a unique theme. She loved it. From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding. Both the bartender and our server were incredibly welcoming. Our server asked whether it was our first visit and took the time to ask what kinds of drinks we normally enjoy before making recommendations. I really appreciated that he wasn't just trying to upsell us. Instead, he explained why he thought certain cocktails were better choices based on our preferences, and every recommendation ended up being spot on. As you'd expect from a tiki bar, the cocktail menu is heavily rum-focused, but there are also non-alcoholic drinks, a small beer selection, and wine available if rum isn't your thing. I ordered the Zombie Magic first, which was delicious and definitely packed a punch. After that, I tried the 100 Year Cigar, a Scotch-based cocktail that was perfect for slowly sipping. Both drinks were fantastic. My girlfriend ordered the Painkiller and the Navy Grog, and she loved both of them. We started with the Shut It Polly wings, crispy chicken wings tossed in a spicy Thai peanut sauce, and they were outstanding. We also ordered the Aloha Dippers with the Cajun seasoning. I paired mine with the Chipotle Citrus Aioli, while my girlfriend chose the Firecracker sauce. Both dipping sauces were excellent and complemented the fries really well. For our entrées, I ordered the Pub Burger with Irish cheddar, onion strings, and horseradish aioli, cooked to order. It was excellent. My girlfriend ordered the Shrimp & Lobster Roll, and we both enjoyed it. The only item that didn't quite meet our expectations was the macaroni salad that came with our meals. We've had some incredible macaroni salad at Hawaiian restaurants, and this one just didn't quite compare. It certainly wasn't bad, but it was the one part of the meal that didn't stand out. One thing that really impressed me was how accommodating the staff was regarding my raw fruit allergy. I explained what I could and couldn't safely eat or drink, and our server took it seriously. He made sure every cocktail recommendation was safe for me without sacrificing flavor or experience. That level of attention made me feel comfortable ordering drinks I otherwise might have avoided. The décor is also worth mentioning. The pirate-themed exterior transitions into a fun pirate-and-tiki atmosphere inside that really adds to the experience without feeling overdone. Overall, this place exceeded our expectations. The drinks were strong and creative, the food was excellent, the service was some of the best we've had in a long time, and the atmosphere was a blast. There are still plenty of cocktails on the menu that I'd like to try, so we'll definitely be back the next time we're in Burbank.

You couldn't escape the theme anyway and I loved it! We were gathering for a friends birthday and there was 30 of us. Couldn't believe we found enough seats for us in the back area but we did. The staff was there to keep drinks flowing and keep food coming. The portion for their poke nachos was unreal. Do i wish they put a bit more poke on the dish? Yes. But it was still one of my favorite dishes of the night. The drinks were all so cute and they had ample non alcoholic mocktails as well which were yummy. If you want a speakeasy feel (you lieterally go through a secret door in the wall) and an under the sea eperience while ctching up with friends, you can totally do it here. My main complaint is we were sat next to a table full of guys who were being very noisy and I believe they bought one of the hosts a shot which was very odd to me. I definitely wish we were able to move tables. Our server was amazing! My husband has allergies and they were so kind about making sure everything was perfect. The service was slow but understandable. The food came out great.

The servers brought out water dishes and treats on a silver tray for the dogs- true service! I missed happy hour, but tried a themed cocktail, the onion rings, and the truffle burger. It was all great! My friends and I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food and our server was great. It seemed like a lot of regulars were there, which helped contribute to the overall good vibes. Dog friendly- YES! We loved it!

That says a lot about the staff. Our server, she was a young lady, was on top of everything and really made our time here enjoyable. I came here for happy hour on a Tuesday was surprised to find out they do $2 tacos and $5 margaritas. Let me tell you, the tacos are delicious and the margaritas are STRONG. It's a hell of a good time. I really enjoyed the chicken taco and carne asada taco. The meats were juicy and very flavorful. I also ordered their nachos, chili cheese fries and bread pudding. The nachos were made perfectly with the chips being thin and crispy. They used a couple different cheeses and the jalapeños were a nice touch. Definitely ordering it again, I can do without the chili cheese fries. It was good but it wasn't amazing. Their bread pudding was HUGE and I can see why it's one of the popular items here. The bread was crispy on the outside and soft and gooey in the inside. Morrisons is definitely a fun place to be. Perfect to enjoy happy hour, catch the games on, and hang out friends. They have plenty of seating inside and outdoor with heat lamps. They are dog and kid friendly as well
