Been meaning to try this place for years. Finally got a chance to stop in and get the Korean bulgogi sandwich with cucumber, kimchi, cheese, and mayo. Perfectly amount of spice kick and a tasty sandwich for sure! Will be back to try more of their sandwiches. The place is clean and the family that owns and operates it is very nice.

Local sandwich shop in Burbank. Owner is nice. A colleague says he remembers everyone's names. They have a variety of sandwiches, but also don't sleep on their bowls. They have a Korean beef bowl which you can ask to add kimchi. You can also do some modifications on the sandwiches. Anyways they have some great options. Ambianxe wise there are cool photos, animation, and comic books lining the walls.

I've been coming to this place for year but lately the craving for the Korean beef sandwich is in another level. Service is always great as they recommend their new seasonal sandwiches but somehow I always go back to that Korean beef sandwich with the kimchi and spicy mayo

    12" Italian Cold Cut Sub

Good stuff at Submarine King. This family run business is working hard and it puts out a good product. I ordered the 12" Italian Cold Cut Sub, which was delicious. Also tasty is the Sarducci Sandwich, served warm. This place is clean and comfortable, and the menu is extensive. Lot's of good things to try. The submarine King will be a new addition to my sandwich supply - Definitely worth a visit.

Loved this place! My friend suggested we try a local, non franchised place to grab lunch and hadn't tried this place. We had a GREAT time! It's is a strip mall but I believe you can park in the street. The strip mall has about 20 spots so good luck but once you've parked you're in good shape. The man behind the counter was super cool, friendly and engaging! He made us feel at home with recommendations, explained different options and I felt like I had known him for years! Several customers came in and he knew them by name, joked with them about things going on in their lives and it felt like that bar in that tv show "Cheers". I just ordered a turkey sandwich which tasted good, the prices were better than Subway and, like I said, I just loved the vibe! There's a Subway across the street but I'll definitely be back to Submarine King!

Korean Beef Sub with kim chi

This is a great sandwich shop! It's friendly owner and staff greeted me when I walked in the door. They were very helpful as it was my first time seeing their selection of items on their menu. The owner took the time to explain the different types of sandwiches, all custom made to order. I ended up with their most popular choice, the Korean beef sandwich with kim chi and that was right on the money! The bread was the perfect proportion of thickness to filling. The outside of the bread was crispy while the inside was soft. The meat was hot and the ingredients were fresh. The crunchiness of the kim chi with every bite made the sandwich really fun to eat. I didn't want my sandwich to end....lol The place is decorated with a mix of comics, anime and just a fun ambiance to be in while you enjoy your meal. They were also playing a variety of K-pop music which was fun and catchy too. They're located in the heart of Burbank, surrounded by the TV studios, so you might just happen to see an actor or celebrity pop into the store for a sandwich.....who knows. Please stop by and support this local business. They're hard workers, their food is delicious, and you can taste the love and quality that goes into their craft.

one of my favorite sandwich shops in Los Angeles, I eat here often during my lunch breaks. have tried every sandwich on the menu, my top 5 would be: 1. Honolulu Chicken 2. Boston Trio 3. Sarducci 4. Korean Beef Sub 5. Chicken Bacon Ranch

This is the best, family owned sub spot! I ordered the Sarducci with everything and it was delicious! Friendly staff, quick service, and they give a cash discount -- who doesn't love that? They have tables inside to sit at, and the place is decorated with tv/movie memorabilia which is fun to check out while you wait. Check it out!!

Parking is probably the biggest downside. It's street parking only, and it can be a little difficult to find a spot. There isn't much seating inside, so we grabbed a table outside. Luckily, the weather was nice, and it ended up being a great place to enjoy lunch. Service was friendly and efficient, and while the prices aren't the cheapest, they also didn't feel unreasonable given the quality of the food. I ordered Ruben's Cousin on Dutch crunch, and I'd definitely recommend it. The Dutch crunch bread had a great texture, and the sandwich itself was juicy, flavorful, and well-balanced. Nothing overcomplicated--just a really solid sandwich done well. Overall, it's a spot I'd happily return to, as there are already several other sandwiches I'd come back to try despite the parking situation.

Everything is super filling and super tasteful, and the staff is always super pleasant.

Located right in downtown Burbank, you walk in and order at the counter, you get a number, and they bring the food out to your table when ready. It's very casual, plenty of seating inside and outside. Staff were super friendly and welcoming, which is a huge deal and very rare nowadays. They even had a new happy hour special. Who doesn't love a $3 beer with lunch? As for the food, I was thoroughly impressed! Pastrami melt was amazing! Full of delicious pastrami, melted cheese, and pickles. So delicious! Fries looked like they were actual fresh made fries, not frozen, which was a nice surprise. I could also tell that they make their ranch from scratch. The bbq chicken sandwich was also delicious. Side salad was super fresh. Everything was so delicious! Portions nice; prices fair. I am impressed with Wild Carvery because I could tell that the ingredients are fresh and the quality is high. I also suspect that they make their own pickles? But I'm not sure. If quality and freshness are important to you, I highly recommend checking out Wild Carvery. However, I am compelled to rate this establishment one star due to a particularly unpleasant experience with a female deli employee whose first name begins with the letter "J." Despite my frequent visits, the overall customer service in the deli and meats department has declined. The season butchers have been replaced with individuals lacking the necessary experience and customer courtesy that were previously present. Over the past three months, I have encountered the same issues with this particular employee. It is important to note that the fee charged for slicing a Tri Tip into a carton container is not the primary concern. The issue lies in the employee's behavior and attitude, specifically their unwillingness to properly wrap the sliced meat. This has occurred on multiple occasions, most recently at the checkout counter when the cashier pull the foil-wrapped package from the plastic bag causing the juices of the meat to spill all over the counter. This has happened to me every time this employee has served me. The Tri Tip sliced meat is dry and devoid of juices due to this careless employee's failure to wrap the meat carefully. It is imperative that this situation be addressed. Management should provide this employee, "J," with proper training on how to wrap sliced food correctly. Additionally, it is crucial the ambiance that all employees, including the deli and butcher employees, maintain a pleasant and friendly demeanor. A salutation is always appreciated. Despite these concerns, the BBQ remains outstanding as always.
