This place is literally so cute I can't believe I've lived so close to it and hadn't gone. I got the bulgogi sandwich with garlic mayo, cucumbers, and kimchi and it was absolutely delicious. The bread is fresh and has a nice balance of softness and crunch. The people who work here are absolute sweeties and the decor is fun and full of kitschy collectibles like comic books, die-cast, gun-dam and cute art. Can't wait to try all their other yummy sandwiches soon! Thank you for your service read more

My favorite sandwich shop, been going here for Years as recommended by Olive Auto across the street. I only wish they were open on Sundays. read more

This place is located in the same plaza as the 7-11 on the corner of Victory & Olive. It's been years 3-4 years since I've been here, but I remember back then how expensive it was for a sandwich. In 2026, their prices has gone up and for the price you pay, I don't think the sandwiches would merit that kind of price. You get more at Handy's market for less money than here. Even Subway across the street isn't as expensive as this place. I also notice that you don't get a lot of meat with your sandwich either. Though it's convenient being right next to the Nickelodeon office. But I think I'd rather cross the street to Subway as I enjoy their bread more. read more

This might just be piling on in a good way, but all I can say is this is the place for delicious sandwiches made by friendly, welcoming people. I'm only here once in a while but working my way through the menu I have yet to find anything but winners. When I forget where I was in the menu I come back to the Chicken Bacon Ranch, but from the "basic" sandos to their own creations, you can't go wrong. The fresh bread just might be the hidden gem here, as it ties everything together. There is minimal seating inside (mostly get and go) but as you can see in the pictures, there is a creative vibe inside. Skip Subway and visit the King! read more

Local sandwich shop in Burbank. Owner is nice. A colleague says he remembers everyone's names. They have a variety of sandwiches, but also don't sleep on their bowls. They have a Korean beef bowl which you can ask to add kimchi. You can also do some modifications on the sandwiches. Anyways they have some great options. Ambianxe wise there are cool photos, animation, and comic books lining the walls. read more

Good stuff at Submarine King. This family run business is working hard and it puts out a good product. I ordered the 12" Italian Cold Cut Sub, which was delicious. Also tasty is the Sarducci Sandwich, served warm. This place is clean and comfortable, and the menu is extensive. Lot's of good things to try. The submarine King will be a new addition to my sandwich supply - Definitely worth a visit. read more

Been meaning to try this place for years. Finally got a chance to stop in and get the Korean bulgogi sandwich with cucumber, kimchi, cheese, and mayo. Perfectly amount of spice kick and a tasty sandwich for sure! Will be back to try more of their sandwiches. The place is clean and the family that owns and operates it is very nice. read more

I stopped by Submarine King for the first time today to have lunch. The shop was clean and inviting, and I appreciated their extensive menu. I would assume the owners are a Korean family due to the staff I saw and the few Korean dishes on the menu. I ordered "The Famous King" sub - avocado, turkey, ham, roast beef, and cheese. A full sandwich comes with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, black olives, mayo, and mustard. I only had to wait a few minutes for my sandwich which was brought out for me. The bread they used was very soft which honestly I loved! I can't stand having my mouth ripped up by crunchy bread, and that seems to be the default for most sandwich places. The sandwich was delicious overall. My only issue was it felt like there was more bread than meat. Maybe next time I will just ask for extra protein. $12.50 was a great deal. If I wasn't being gluttonous I could have saved half the sandwich for later. I am glad to have tried another wonderful Burbank business. I will definitely add them to my list of regular sandwich spots. read more

Loved this place! My friend suggested we try a local, non franchised place to grab lunch and hadn't tried this place. We had a GREAT time! It's is a strip mall but I believe you can park in the street. The strip mall has about 20 spots so good luck but once you've parked you're in good shape. The man behind the counter was super cool, friendly and engaging! He made us feel at home with recommendations, explained different options and I felt like I had known him for years! Several customers came in and he knew them by name, joked with them about things going on in their lives and it felt like that bar in that tv show "Cheers". I just ordered a turkey sandwich which tasted good, the prices were better than Subway and, like I said, I just loved the vibe! There's a Subway across the street but I'll definitely be back to Submarine King! read more

This is a great sandwich shop! It's friendly owner and staff greeted me when I walked in the door. They were very helpful as it was my first time seeing their selection of items on their menu. The owner took the time to explain the different types of sandwiches, all custom made to order. I ended up with their most popular choice, the Korean beef sandwich with kim chi and that was right on the money! The bread was the perfect proportion of thickness to filling. The outside of the bread was crispy while the inside was soft. The meat was hot and the ingredients were fresh. The crunchiness of the kim chi with every bite made the sandwich really fun to eat. I didn't want my sandwich to end....lol The place is decorated with a mix of comics, anime and just a fun ambiance to be in while you enjoy your meal. They were also playing a variety of K-pop music which was fun and catchy too. They're located in the heart of Burbank, surrounded by the TV studios, so you might just happen to see an actor or celebrity pop into the store for a sandwich.....who knows. Please stop by and support this local business. They're hard workers, their food is delicious, and you can taste the love and quality that goes into their craft. read more

Very good sandwiches you have to try it. Very unique flavors. You can dine in or order it.

Quality sandwiches! There's a bbq sandwich that comes with different spice levels. Odd to say but I do and do not recommend the spiciest choice. It hurts but in the best way. Go to spot for picking up something before heading to the movies nearby. Great and friendly service too. read more

This is a go to spot for my job. Great family owned restaurant that makes you feel like part of the neighborhood. Really cool anime art everywhere that's probably from the owners kid. I always get the Honolulu chicken half ranch half teriyaki sauce. 10/10. You can pay with card but it's better when you bring cash! read more

I was so excited to try the Korean beef for DELIVERY$$$$ and it was bland, dry and extremely weak on the meat. It was very disappointing! And definitely not worth the price! I expected a yummy marinade and seasoning and it was just shoe leather! You get nickeled and dimed for toppings which it needed all the help it could get! The best part was the bread! Great sandwiches and rice bowls, with a Korean flavor twist, but the service was really key. Very helpful and understanding - they'll let you try the kimchee or ingredients as well if you're unsure. Some of the spicy items are true to the name and can be hot. read more

This is the best, family owned sub spot! I ordered the Sarducci with everything and it was delicious! Friendly staff, quick service, and they give a cash discount -- who doesn't love that? Love this hole in the wall gem :) I had the meatball sandwich and the sauce was vibrant, the cheese was gooey, the meatballs fluffy, the moist roll hugged the ingredients gloriously. Service was spot on and the price was quite reasonable. Highly recommend. read more

This hidden gem is a must-visit for a satisfying meal on a budget. With just a few bucks, you can enjoy a hearty sandwich in Burbank. Plenty of seats to dine in or take out. If I could I wouldn't give it even a one star. I ordered a Korean beef sandwich a couple days ago and brought it home when I opened it I was shocked to see the amount of meat that was in the roll. Picture below! Today 5/10 I thought I'd give it another shot and went the son was working the register and took my order. I showed him the picture and told him I was very disappointed. I ordered the rice bowl thinking it comes with kimchi etc, instead it had raw cabbage, raw broccoli and raw carrots. It had absolutely no sauce and for the price it was literally 4 tablespoons of cooked rice and two tablespoons of meat!!! I advise everyone to confirm what specific ingredients are in each type of dish you order. NEVER GOING BACK THERE! read more

Came here many years ago and it was great. Was in the neighborhood and decided to try it again. Excellent service. The two ladies working that day were very friendly and professional. The inside is charming and whimsical. Reminds me of some of the cute little cafés and restaurants in K-Town. I ordered the Korean Beef special with kimchi and spicy mayo. Really fresh tasting ingredients and delicious flavors. Although it was in sandwich form, this is some of the most delicious beef Bulgogi I have ever ever had, no joke. The only reason why it didn't get five stars is because unfortunately, the filling to bread ratio was a little bit off. I don't think the portions matched the price of the sandwich. I see it as an oxymoron that a large sandwich that is made to share with someone actually ends up being super light on filling. If I were to come back, I'd probably just order a plate or bowl of the Bulgogi by itself haha. read more

I was having a bad craving for a turkey and avocado sandwich so I made my way over to Submarine King. I love their French dip sandwiches, so I figured their turkey sandwiches must be good too. And I was right, it was delicious. My only wish is that it had more avocado on it. As for price, they aren't cheap. My large turkey and avocado was $14 and change but as long as you know what to expect going in, that shouldn't surprise you. There's not much going on ambience wise here. There are a few tables and chairs, but this is definitely more of a grab-and-go type of place. However, what they lack in ambiance, they make up for in service. I ordered my turkey and avocado sandwich and walked at the door with a freshly made sandwich 5 minutes later. Just don't go at a busy time of day because while they make sandwiches very quickly, this place can get busy at times. read more

What a yummy sandwich shop! I was craving a cold cut sandwich and didn't wanna go to the typical subway, or Jersey mikes. So this spot on Yelp and decided to try it. I'm so happy I did because it's now my new spot to go :) The workers were all so welcoming and friendly. She tells me my sandwich will be ready in 5 mins and on the dot in 5 mins. Can't speak for their other sandwiches but their bulgogi sub is SO GOOD. I've been here once before and was so blown away by it that I suggested to meet up here for a quick lunch date yesterday. My bf ordered their seasonal special (turkey, apples, cranberries, and a few other toppings) while I, of course, got their bulgogi sub. I prefer it without mayo since it takes away from the bulgogi flavor. The owner is super friendly and they tend to get pretty busy during the lunch hour but his wife efficiently churns out sandwiches in the back. I can tell this place is a local favorite so if you're ever looking for a quick bite in the Burbank area, this is your spot! read more
