First impression walking in the guy upfront is really welcoming good customer service. I ordered the beef kabob with extra rice. The beef they used is flap meat which was nice and tender and had a really good marinate to it. I ordered dinner for my family from Rafo's Cafe last week because we wanted to try a different spot for Middle Eastern food. I ordered for takeout through their website, and I was concerned because it was around 7:10pm and they close at 8pm. Luckily, I was able to place an order and select a pickup time within half an hour. I chose the Chicken Lule Kabob Plate and Beef Lule Kabob Plate. Both plates came with two dense skewers of meat. I thought the beef lule was juicier and more flavorful than the chicken lule. Both plates had fluffy white basmati rice; they put so much rice that it made the takeout trays quite heavy. For one of the plates, I selected sides of hummus and yogurt spinach, which was my fave side from the whole meal as it was tangy and paired well with the chicken and beef lule. The hummus was alright and similar to what I've tried at other restaurants. On the other plate, I selected sides of shirazi salad and tomato & green pepper, which added some freshness to the meal, but overall, they were just fine. Also, each plate came with a piece of pita bread, which tasted better when warmed up. As for ambiance and service, I can't write much since I had a family member go pick-up the food. However, they reported that it was easy to find parking in the small plaza and received the food on-time. For the price, I think you get quite a lot of food if you order the plates. Two plates fed my family of 4 people. The online ordering system was convenient, too! I'm glad that I gave Rafo's Cafe a try, and maybe I'll visit in the future when I've exhausted my usual places. read more

Came to this spot for lunch a few weeks ago between appointments. It was a good decision. He was friendly the place was small but very nice. The guy there asked if my husband and I wanted a side plate or we wanted he can split the plate for us. I was very surprised not a lot of places i've been to offer that I appreciated that. Rafo's is a good blend of pizza and Mediterranean food. On my first visit I got a small pizza and a beef lule kabob sandwich - a lot of food for 1 person, but both were kind of back-ups in case one wasn't good. Well, they were both great: the pizza has excellent crust with good flavor on the sauce. The beef lule kabob sandwich was sensational - I'd never had a sandwich like this, and what a great idea! A kebob plate on the go, in essence, and everything from the meat to the bread was excellent. I really recommend this sandwich! My second visit I had a chicken thigh kabob plate, and I enjoyed the chicken and the rice. Only issues: there's maybe 3 tables inside, so you could dine in there, but it doesn't take much to get busy (one visit when I was picking up food, all tables were taken). Other issue being the hummus, which myself and the other diners found pretty bland. Those things aside, give this place a try for a meal - you too will be pleasantly surprised! read more

Meat, cheese, red onions, with tzatziki on the side...you just can't go wrong here. I greatly enjoyed the smokey flavors of this pie. The Margarita pizza was a safe pick on our part, a good pizza still, but underwhelming when paired with the Doner. More of a palate cleanser, if you will. The workers here were super welcoming and made sure that we were enjoying our food. Just for their friendly demeanor, I want to visit this spot again. The inside of the store is not too big and there are few spots to sit, so I'd recommend ordering to go if you don't feel comfortable dining in more intimate spaces like this. read more

The chicken was seasoned perfectly and very flavorful.The next visit, I ordered the beef shish kabob and it was very underwhelming and chewy . It might have been an off day. I'll probably just stick with the chicken shish. The portions are generous and the rice and pita bread were both solid tasting sides.The interior is a little dated and rundown, but the tables were clean. The service has always been friendly and the takeout orders are packed nicely. They also have pizza on the menu, but haven't tried it, yet. This place is worth a try, if in the area.
