Ameci was strongly recommended to me the next time I was getting pizza over here and I have to say: for New York style pizza, this is really good! What stood out to me most was the actual flavor of everything: the cheese, sauce and seasonings all exist in harmony. Even slices of cheese weren't "plain" tasting with these seasonings. My order was out lightning fast, too: enough that I was a little skeptical, but I shouldn't have been - they know what they're doing. It's more of a grab and go place (there is seating outside, but not much inside) - it'd be nice if there was a better nook for dining in, but if that's the only complaint, it's a small one. If you are looking for NY pizza, look no further! read more

I ordered the Hawaiian pizza with some wings. The pizza was pretty decent and I like how huge the ham and pineapple slices are. I also enjoyed the sauce of the wings. It was not as spicy as I thought it will be. I chose the sweet chili sauce. The service was great, the pizza came out in 15 min like he said it will. The dude who received our order was so helpful since it was my first time trying them out. I was recommended this place. Today was my first time trying Amecis and OH MAN was I surprised... the pizzas were delicious! We had half a pepperoni/sausage and added same base with mushrooms and jalapenos. Hubby had the BBQ chicken pizza also delish. We loved the buffalo lemon pepper wings! My pizza was ready when I got there the vibe was chill, would def come back! I grew up eating Ameci Pizza (different location), so I might be slightly biased here. That said, I've always loved their food. This particular location is quite small with just a couple tables. It would appear they mostly do takeout and/or delivery at this spot. We happened to be walking in the area and needed a small snack. Priced at $3.99 for a slice and drink, I couldn't resist. The best pizza in the valley !!!!! Can't get enough of this place. Not only does the location make you feel like you're in New York for a moment, but everyone in the store is so nice as well. The dough is fresh and airy, with a crispy crust that makes every bite impeccable. The lemon pepper buffalo wings are also 10/10. Get them extra crispy if you like a little crunch like me. Pizza by the slice at all hours? Yes please. We were hungry but not starving. Ameci saved our tummies with a few slices of pizza. I would consider the slices New York. Thin and crispy. A little on the greasy side. Nothing a little napkin can't wipe away. Pizza was decent. They were just slices. I'm sure a fresh made to order pizza would of been better. There are a few tables but don't press your luck. It's best to take it to go. Drinks are in the can. No fountain here. read more

I was very impressed with Hrants costumer service and kindness. He went more than above and beyond. Not only is the pizza delicious but his dedication to each and every customer is one of a kind. I stopped in this afternoon to buy a pizza for a local unhoused man. The guys behind the counter were so friendly and compassionate. They knew his order and were happy to ready it for him to stop in and grab it. I was impressed with their kindness, the restaurant's cleanliness, and how quick they were to get everything ready for him. If you ever stop by Ameci, make sure you ask for Hrant! He's seriously one of the best people working there. Super friendly, fast, and always gets my order right. You can tell he actually cares about making sure customers are happy -- something that's rare these days. I only wish I had found this magical place last year when I was in town. I tried the mango Habanero wings and an Alaska with Canadian Bacon, Green Pepper, and Mushrooms and it was magical. I attended the latter half of HS just around the block from Ameci... This was many moons ago. It'll always have a special place in my memory banks because of those long lost days. Our after school routine was getting a slice of pizza and soda with the little allowance we had as youngsters. Sometimes even sharing one of those after school specials with my best friend. Good times with the best company during our formative years. Fast forward to a couple of weekends ago, we were craving pizza and decided to drive to Burbank to get some pies. The lady ordered a personal size Margherita ($10.99) and I got a 2 topping medium pizza ($11.99) plus ($1.69) per topping. I got bacon & pepperoni on one side and Hawaiian on the other half. The pizzas were both really good. They were better than I remember. My order of pepperoni and bacon was tasty although a little on the oily side. The Hawaiian portion of it was real good. I would get that again for sure. The thin crust was great, the the shredded mozz was at a perfect melt and the pizza sauce had a good tang.... My girl really liked her margherita pizza. Customer service was great. The young man who took our order at the counter and rang us up was friendly and helpful. Our pizzas were ready in less than 15 mins. The helpful young man even brought our pizzas to us outside when they were done as we were waiting out on the sidewalk. Really appreciated his effort. We went the evening before the remembrance of the Armenian Genocide. I did notice all the employees were wearing all black. I certainly respect and empathize with them.... Respect. All the staff that I saw were wearing masks as part of their Covid protocols. Take-out and delivery only at the moment. We'll be back soon to have more pizza from my HS hangout for sure. read more

Ordered their Hot Cheetos Pizza (I paid extra for grilled chicken) for takeout. Great value if you order their "large speciality pizza". At $17.99 this huge pizza will feed at least two people. The service was fantastic - rapid delivery and the food was piping hot. The pizza is great. Dough is crisp and tasty. The crust is crispy and had a decent char. The topping is deceptive - it doesn't look like a lot of cheese but it's actually sliced cheese, so it's a whole blanket! The hot Cheetos dust cooked with the cheese is awesome. It's a gimmick but it works! It comes with two bags of hot Cheetos for added crunch. Having the chicken on top was needed though. The pizza is a bit one dimensional without it. The chicken was smoky and fat tastier than other places I've had chicken added to my pizza. Overall a great experience. Worth trying! read more

Established in 1984.

Nick Andrisano was born in and raised in New York City, where his Italian parents and grandparents opened a pizza restaurant in 1931. In 1979, Nick moved to Los Angeles and opened 2 upscale dining establishments called Ameci Italian Cuisine. Angelo Falato, the son of a restaurant family from Rome, traveled to Colombia, Venezuela and Guatemala before finally settling in Los Angeles where he opened a broasted chicken restaurant. In 1984, Nick and Angelo partnered to open the first Ameci Pizza Kitchen.

The restaurant has a couple tables inside and some tables in their outside patio. The tables inside are bar height. We were greeted with menus right away and was told the pastas weren't currently available. We ordered two of their pizzas, Pazza pizza and Prosciutto pizza, and two of their salads, Caesar and Antipasto. I really enjoyed the salads and the prosciutto pizza. The Pazaa pizza was good too but the cheese was very filling for me. If you love cheese, you have to try the Pazza. Ingredients are all very fresh! I would recommend ordering ahead of time because the pizzas did take awhile to make and bake, but luckily they had TV on so we watched TV while waiting. If I'm in the area again, I would definitely order takeout from here.

The crust was the perfect amount of softness and crunch. The garlic knots with the marinara definitely stole the show though. I live for garlic and these were so moist and garlicky that I almost got a second batch. This place definitely gets busy though so if you have a large order I would definitely call ahead and if you plan on "dining in" you'll need to sit at separate tables outside or take it to go because the inside space is pretty small. If you're looking for a quick bite and pizza is on your mind then I think you'll find what you're looking for here.

Today I got their lunch special, which is a pretty great deal. You get a personal pizza either cheese or pepperoni, a salad and a drink for $9.99 (add $1 for deep dish). The only bummer here is their soda machine was broken, so had to get a can, won't ding them for it, things happen. But if I come back again in a month or whatever and still not working, then maybe I would have to drop them to a 4, otherwise 5 stars for sure. I also added an order or there cheesy bread sticks with marinara sauce. This was excellent as well, cover with cheese and baked in a Detroit style pan so you have crispy cheese edges all around, get some when you go, I think you will love it. The Salad was also very good, onion, tomatoes, cucumbers lettuce and arugula, very tasty and their blue cheese dressing is on point. The service here takes a little time as everything is made to order, but worth the wait and the staff was nice either way. Inside is minimalistic, a handful of seats at high standing bench style tables, but works great and you can sit at the window and people watch. The parking in this area is tough, although I was lucky and got a spot right in front, otherwise, I could see some challenges. Not sure if there is a close lot around, but hopefully. Otherwise everything was great and parking was really easy for me today at least. First, their cafe de olla is absolutely delicious. This remains one of the only places where I genuinely enjoy ordering cafe de olla. Second, their food is incredible. They serve excellent portions, everything tastes fresh, and the food is just so good. I've had their taquitos and chilaquiles, and both were delicious. The only downside is that every time I've come, there has usually been a bit of a wait, especially because the restaurant itself is pretty small with limited seating. The inside is cute, but small, so we usually end up sitting outside. This is where their Monrovia location does have the advantage because it has much more space. Parking can also be tricky. Good luck finding a spot close enough where you don't have to walk far. We usually end up parking in the residential area around the corner. That said, the staff are wonderful and always try to be as accommodating as possible despite how busy they are. Highly recommend this place if you're okay with possibly waiting a bit for seating. The food and cafe de olla are worth it.

Who doesn't love a $3 beer with lunch? As for the food, I was thoroughly impressed! Pastrami melt was amazing! Full of delicious pastrami, melted cheese, and pickles. So delicious! Fries looked like they were actual fresh made fries, not frozen, which was a nice surprise. I could also tell that they make their ranch from scratch. The bbq chicken sandwich was also delicious. Side salad was super fresh. Everything was so delicious! Portions nice; prices fair. I am impressed with Wild Carvery because I could tell that the ingredients are fresh and the quality is high. I also suspect that they make their own pickles? But I'm not sure. If quality and freshness are important to you, I highly recommend checking out Wild Carvery. I can't wait to come back and try their burgers.

Ameci is this unique italian restaurant, i used to live on magnolia in a studio apt right around the corner. Now i cant really explain why i am in love with eating pizza, but now that i look back on it i am starting to hold this place accountable, always gotta find someone else to blame right? But honestly i have to tell you that the interesting flavor pizza sauce is key to why this place steals the 5 star rating. Its because they apply this sauce to practically every dish from lasagna to ravioli, to you name it its not even funny its emotional. You know you look at a menu, you realize that you belly can only fit one of those items and you start to cry a little bit. The name Ameci goes back like 20 years from as long as I can remember. This Ameci location is very on point, they have always been generous with the cheese, sauce and pepperoni, they get it right almost every time. Just a few times I've noticed the pizza slightly over-done, however devoured as always, lol. The price is fair compared to other pizza places nearby, with about $15 for a large cheese pizza. They also do have other items on the menu rather than pizza, I've never tried them at all, but the rigatonni looked pretty promising. The parmesian cheese and red peppers are always given, they also hook it up with ranch and jalapenos at no extra charge which is really nice. hit up Ameci pizza, a totally different style of pizza compared to your average pizza experience. read more

I ordered from the specialty pizzas: Margarita (my fav), BBQ Chicken, Deluxe, Meat Lovers, and the Chicken Alfredo! I ordered for my husbands staff and they too were very much satisfied with how amazingly delicious it all tasted! My husband and I travel a lot for business to New York, and are very much pizza lovers, and I must say that Ameci's pizza in Burbank is probably the only one I can compare to a true authentic New York pie!!! I am so grateful I live & work close by Ameci. Their food is definitely one of my favorite places to eat when I dont have time to cook; dont feel like cooking but want to have that Home Made quality meal; and even after a long day of teaching. I am, personally, addicted to their Cheese bread-pizza and pastas. The pizzas are Amazing (BBQ Chicken with Cilantro is my favorite); and I must say, they've never failed when it comes to quality and taste. It is consistent and it only gets better. I originally found this restaurant through yelp and it's been my go to pizza spot since. I love NY style pizza and this is definitely the place in LA where you can get that flavor. The crust is crunchy yet soft, & the ingredients are always fresh. My personal favorite pizza has to be the CHEESE PIZZA. It is perfection!l Haven't had any issues w/ my deliveries, my food has always been hot & fresh. Every time I dine-in I get great service as well. I just need to give their Italian dishes a try. The new ownership is fantastic, the staff is ALWAYS very friendly and helpful, and Vic the owner has really shown that he cares about his customers. I always go to Rico's Pizza not so far from this location, but I thought I try them because their restaurant looks so bright and welcoming from the outside! I liked the cleanliness of the restaurant, but the pizza was okay. I had a cheese pizza, wish they added more cheese to it, but maybe I was supposed to tell them? He didn't say let me check on it or even give me an approximate time it would be done. Mind you the receipt said the order was placed at 3:13pm. I said ok sooooo like 20 minutes? He says yea 20 minutes. I'm back and it's 3:59pm... 19 minutes later. My mom went inside to pick it up and she said the same guy said 15 more minutes and that the system was down. This is not the first rude-for-no-reason encounter I've had with this same employee. The first time I thought maybe he was just having a bad day. I told my mom about it and she said she has had the same experience when she picks up. He does not have a very customer service/friendly attitude. He needs a customer service refresher asap.

But, in recent years, the ambiance of the dine-in dining room has turned into kind of an obnoxious experience, where scummy, rude people have started inhabiting the place, to the point where I don't even want to eat there anymore. On more than one occasion, I've been eating in their dining room and had multiple people talking loudly on their phones, as if no one else was around. I've been in there with families with annoying, screaming kids making noise and running around like maniacs, and disrupting the whole restaurant. And a number of times the restaurant was playing two separate streaming radio stations at the same time like some aural, sensory torture device. Add to this, there's a few counter employees who have the customer service skills of an undertaker in a plague. They make you feel bad for ordering food from them, put-out and annoyed that you dared to order anything. All this aside, their pizza is still great and hasn't lessened in quality or consistency since I've lived here. But their dining room now has the ambience of a Greyhound bus station. I half expect to see homeless people sleeping in there, it's so shabby and out of control now. I wish their management would do something about the rude people, but I guess they don't care about keeping away loyal customers who have been going there for years. It's sad, because I know it's long been a Burbank favorite of the local denizens around here. I guess from now on I will be ordering my food from them to go.

When ordering, we were asked whether we wanted penne or spaghetti, and we chose spaghetti. My brother ordered the Eggplant Lasagna. Both dishes came with garlic bread, and the garlic bread was absolutely delicious. The spaghetti was so good, and the Eggplant Lasagna was equally tasty. The restaurant itself was very small, but it felt like discovering a hidden gem. I noticed photos of Hollywood stars displayed on the walls and wondered if they were pictures of celebrities who had visited the restaurant over the years. According to the information displayed inside, the restaurant has been operating since 1971, which explains why it feels like such a long-standing neighborhood favorite. The staff members were all very friendly, and I left an additional cash tip. My mom kindly treated us to lunch today using her credit card, and I am very grateful. There were, however, two downsides to our visit. First, I used the restroom and noticed that it had a bad smell there. Second, after checking in on Yelp, I noticed that the restaurant's posted closing time was 3:00 PM. We arrived around 2:30 PM for a late lunch. My brother was delayed because he had to pick up the car from the car wash and didn't arrive until around 2:45 PM. While we were still eating, one of the staff began putting chairs up and cleaning the dining room. By 3:00 PM, it felt as though they were waiting for customers to leave. The front door was left open, and the atmosphere made us feel somewhat rushed. I asked one of the staff members what time they closed, and he confirmed that they closed at 3:00 PM. We quickly packed up our remaining garlic bread to go and left shortly afterward. On a positive note, when I asked for a to-go box, they were very friendly and carefully packed everything for us. Overall, the food was delicious, and the staff was kind. However, I didn't particularly enjoy having the chairs put away and the dining room cleaned while customers were still eating. It would have been nicer if someone had simply let us know that the restaurant closed at 3:00 PM. We would have gladly finished up and left on our own. Despite that issue, I still enjoyed the food very much and was happy to discover this hidden neighborhood gem. I love Italian food, and I've dined at many upscale Italian restaurants with elegant atmospheres over the years. While this place is small and simple, the food was truly excellent and full of flavor.
