So delicious Kebab plate and Chicken Thighs Plate

I'm always on the hunt for authentic Mediterranean food, kebab, and this place absolutely delivered. The kebab was incredibly flavorful, juicy, and grilled to perfection. fresh, well-seasoned, and homemade. The yogurt drink was just as impressive!!!! cold, creamy, and refreshing with the perfect traditional tang. The restaurant was super clean, smells like luxury hotel the staff was welcoming, and the service was quick. You can tell they take pride in serving quality food and creating a great experience for their customers. If you're craving authentic, delicious Armenian/Persian food , I highly recommend giving this place a try. I'll definitely be back!

Beautifully shaded outdoor patio with lush green astroturf carpeting. The outdoor seating area is dog friendly. The tables are decorated with beautiful placemats, plates and rolled up silverware. The waiter was friendly, placed a basket of pita bread for the table and helped describe some of the Lebanese dishes for me. Ordered an iced tea, fries and a chicken wrap. Went inside of the restaurant to use the restroom and on my way I saw the amazing desserts station, vintage serving trays & gold coffee pots, some classic framed photos of Lebanon on the walls, the kitchen and the indoor dining area. This was an amazing lunch and will come back to try more of the delicious food!

We ended up getting the feast for 2 because it was a great deal to try the meats and get 2 dips. It was all so delicious, with the exception of the pitas that came in a store bought bag. We really loved everything except the pitas. Would have been nice if they were warmed up at least. Everyone was very helpful in the restaurant and we also loved the lemonade with rose water and dessert. They even gave us some ladyfingers on the house. Would definitely return!

Although Raffi's in Glendale is usually my go-to spot, I met a friend here for lunch and it was a nice change of scenery. Not only did I love the idea of having an outdoor patio almost to ourselves, but the inside is really cute with its retro mint accents, old school chairs, and wooden tabletops. I also loved looking at the Old World Hollywood black & white photos up on the walls. The only conundrum is finding a seat inside since this place fills up quickly during the lunch rush hours. Also, some folks just park it so they can work on their laptops while sipping on coffee -- not that I can blame 'em. Their Mediterranean, Lebanese-inspired cuisine, and fusion-inspired grill fare is delicious and the portion sizes are ample. Juicy tomatoes and slightly charred zucchini and summer squash sat vibrantly on my plate. Their savory chicken breast kabobs are made with authentic spices, but more on the lean, dry side. So I prefer their falafels, dolmas, and grilled veggies on my plate. SOTTA touts their Tomato Soup as "the best in town". Not sure I'd agree. My bowl was piping hot, but a bit on the bland side. I'd personally opt for another salad if given a choice: Their babaganoush is creamy, Greek salad is crisp, while the Shirazi Salad and Quinoa Tabbouleh won't disappoint. I'll have to try the Sautéed Mushrooms next time because the red wine, teriyaki, and garlic marinade piqued my interest. As for their drink menu, the coffee is excellent. Or try a 20 oz. matcha that's infused with passion fruit or guava. It's worth the splurge. Although Skaf's in Highland Park is still my fave Lebanese restaurant, I'll still make my way over to SOTTA next time on this side of the hill. It's still continents closer than the Adriatic Sea.

Sorta used to be one of my go-to places, especially since it's within walking distance of my house…read more Unfortunately, my last two orders have been noticeably different from the quality and portions I had received in the past, and yesterday's order was especially disappointing. I ordered chicken breast, and the portions were surprisingly inconsistent. One piece was a reasonable size, while the other was significantly smaller and did not feel like a proper portion. The biggest disappointment was the Caesar salad with salmon. It came with only two very small pieces of salmon--approximately 1.5 ounces total. Honestly, even my cat would have been disappointed with that portion! It genuinely looked like they were down to their last small piece of salmon and divided it between the salad. As someone who is Persian and grew up eating this type of food regularly, I'm very familiar with the flavors, quality, and portions I would expect. Unfortunately, the food this time was well below average, both in taste and value. I would rate the taste about 2/10. It's especially disappointing because I previously enjoyed ordering from Sorta and appreciated having a convenient neighborhood option so close to home. But after two disappointing experiences in a row, I can't justify the price for the portions and quality I received. Sadly, I don't see myself returning. It's very sad that u spend 77$ for lunch for two and not be satisfied

We were there yesterday at 4:20pm. The minute I saw that BIG dog, not only was it scary, but the barking inside a nice, homey restaurant was very loud and unpleasant. Even one of their servers and a child got scared.(looked a lot like a wolf). They came in like 3 minutes after we were seated. I complained to our waitress, Rada, and right away she tried defending them by saying it's a service dog. It had no collar nor a vest. I know a service dog when I see one. In addition to that, there were no blind, deaf people sitting at that table. Within less than 5 minutes, the owner and the dog left the premises. The restaurant looked a lot like a Chabad where a lot of Jewish people gather together and celebrate bar/bat mitzvahs, or other gatherings. Their menu has a lot to offer. Pastries, beverages, beer and wine. Vast selection of items and also vegan, plant based and vegetarian dishes. Also organic meals. Moving on with my review. My son and I ordered their small Hummus, ($9.95), which was very bland and needed some good seasoning such as pepper, oil, garlic etc.., we also ordered the same dish. 2 orders of their Quail Dinner that came with 2 salads, rice with some raw onions on top, grilled tomatoes, with fresh, hot pita bread. For both entrées, it was ($49.90). When the bill arrived, Rada removed the hummus without telling us. That was a very nice gesture. I didn't even say anything about it not being good. Our host Melida was also sweet and kind. We also got 4 pieces of their Fried Cheese Rolls ($2 per roll). The Lentil Soup was to die for. It was a very generous bowl ($7.95). I licked the bowl, and haven't had Lentil Soup in a very long time. Food was unbelievably delicious and priced appropriately for their portions. Also very fresh. Restaurant was clean along with their restrooms. One for each gender. Parking was shared with so many other businesses, had a nice size aquarium right by the entrance, and 2 more things. Former president Bill Clinton and the one and only tenor opera singer, Andrea Boccelli were photographed with the owner and placed on a wrong wall. Photos like that should be placed somewhere where everyone can see it. I may or may not return. It was barely 5:10pm, and they closed their blinds saying the reflection of the cars is bothering the photographer, when there were no cars nearby. In their amenities section, it says that they have a patio. Please update your system. There is no patio seating.

The bakery and restaurant share the same parking lot as Trader Joe's and I had no issue finding an available parking spot on Saturday afternoon. [Atmosphere & service]: There is a mural with two people baking saj bread and there are about half a dozen tables for in-person dining. I placed an in-person order and unfortunately the service was very slow. I eventually got my order after waiting close to 15 minutes despite the lack of customers. [Menu]: Yelp's top highlighted items are Chicken Shawarma, Beef Shawarma, and Spinach Pie. They also have a display case of various baked items. Other items they sell here include Mediterranean specialty pizzas, plates (e.g. lamb gyro), Mediterranean breakfast, and flatbreads. *** Beef Shawarma Wrap (Beef, spread of hummus, fresh tomatoes, onions, and tahini sauce rolled and pressed to a crunchy toast - $18.00): The order came with two wraps. The filling was gooey and messy, but it had a very distinct flavor profile. Not too bad at all. Mini Spinach Pie (Raw spinach mixed with diced onion and sumac herb - 1 piece $2.00): It was not my cup of tea as it tasted very sour. *** A solid 3.5-star for the wrap, but bumped down due to inefficient service.
