    SIC Wiseguy DET Combo Americano
    Jonnie N.

Stopped by Slice House because my friend wanted to grab something quick before our movie. As someone who's never been much of a pizza person, I was honestly blown away by both their New York and Detroit-style pizzas. First off, the slices are huge, so you definitely get your money's worth. For the Detroit style, we ordered the Combo Americano because I wanted to feel a little healthier with the bell peppers and mushrooms. The thick, airy crust was crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy inside, and loaded with toppings. For the New York style, we went with the Wise Guy, and I'm not gonna lie--it might be the best pizza I've ever had. I don't know if it was the sausage with its subtle sweetness or the finishing drizzle, but every bite had this light sweet-savory balance that was incredibly addictive. The crust was thin with just the right amount of chew, and the flavors came together perfectly. If you think pizza is just pizza, Slice House might change your mind.

Honestly, I prefer their slices compared to Prince Street because their crust texture is crunchier and it's more to my liking. I would say their dollops of cheese are a game changer, it's between a butter and light melted cheese. Wise guy (triangle slice): If you're a fan of New York slices, I would get this slice over here. Nice ratio of tomato, cheese and crust. Tomato sauce tasted fresh. Overall 10/10. Would come back to get another slice. Angeleno pizza (square slice): Crust was a little more well done to burnt edge. This pizza was their recommended slice to get, but I wasn't a really big fan of their crust thickness cause it was a bit dry. I'm not sure if was because the crust was a bit harder. They were generous with their meat toppings on the Angeleno which was great.

I have been meaning to try this place since they opened. Slice house offers pizza, pasta, salad, etc. Located in a great spot in downtown Burbank near the AMC and the Batman statue. Pizza had a hefty price tag of about $8.00 a slice. There are about 8 different choices. We came here for a snack and each had a slice. The pizza was very good. The sauce had a sweet taste to it. The pepperoni was nicely rounded and crisp. However one of the slices was a little greasy. We used a napkin to dab it off. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. Self serve fountain drinks and clean bathrooms.

A nice pizza spot in the main area of downtown Burbank, across from the AMC theaters. Food: The pizza was good as you can taste the freshness of the ingredients. I got the "traditional" (pan style pepperoni and sausage) and the "pepperoni" (NY style I believe) and both were great as far sauce, meats, cheese and crust. Service: It was simple but it does get very packed in there (on a Saturday night) as it took me almost 30 mins for 2 slices since traditional and pepperoni sell out fast. They give you a buzzer or number to bring the food to you. Ambiance: They have a good amount of tables inside and out, soda fountain and 2 bathrooms. It's simple and partially clean due to all the people leaving their mess behind.

I'd been here once before for a YE event. This time wasn't as amazing. We went on a Saturday evening and the place was packed. We ate outside. There was trash all over. We had to clean our own table. We shared pizza slices of Angeleno, Motorhead, a meatball sub and a Caesar salad. I loved the Motorhead. He loved the Angeleno. The meatball would have been better with more sauce. The salad was big and not as fresh as I like.

During an unexpected business visit I had the opportunity to try the Slice House. I was pretty pleased with this choice for sure. A good pizza for lunch is always a good thing. The gentleman behind the counter was friendly and hospitable. He brought my order out to me pretty quickly. The outside patio was a great place to enjoy my lunch as it was nice being in the fresh air and not a lot of people. So it was peaceful for sure.

I actually love pizza so much. It's honestly gluttonous and disgusting the way I'll tear into a slice of pizza. We tried Slice House in Burbank and it was so damn good. Me and Josh shared three slices: the NY Hot Honey, Detroit Motörhead, and Sicilian Wise Guy. All three were really good. I tried the New York Hot Honey first and it was so yummy. It had this nice sweetness from the honey. If I'm being honest, it kind of tasted like sugar water, but in a good way somehow. The bottom was nicely crispy too, which I love. The Sicilian Wise Guy was a little too "bready" for my taste, like a little more done than I usually like, but the toppings were so good that I still enjoyed it. But I will not get over the Detroit Motörhead. That one was everything. It was so perfectly soft and pretty, and the edge pieces with the burnt/crispy cheese were insanely good. I loved the tomato sauce too. I love messy pizza, and that one was just perfect. If I could get a Detroit Motörhead every day, I probably would. Easily one of the best pizza slices I've had. I can't wait to try more kinds of pizza there too. I really like that this place has different styles because ever since going to New York I've been talking nonstop about NY pizza, but this reminded me there are so many good kinds of pizza out there.

Chardonnay sold by the bottle-- a half bottle for, $16.

Solid pizza and a convenient spot before a movie at AMC Burbank -- just skip the salad and dessert. Tony does not live here. That is, there is no Tony here. This is a chain restaurant created by a pizza chef named Tony Gemignani. According to online sources, he is a 13-time world pizza champion and supposedly one of the most well-known pizza makers in the U.S. Visited last Saturday for early dinner with my niece and nephew. First tip: skip the salad. We ordered the Bacon Arugula Salad, but the greens were wilted and the bacon amounted to only a few small pieces. Drinks Jarritos Pineapple soda - My niece and nephew ordered this. Chardonnay (half bottle) - $16. Pretty good. They sell wine by the bottle (both regular and half bottles), which I appreciate. Main Course Pasta Gemelli with Vodka Cream - My niece ordered this and liked it. Pizza Burrata Queen (12" medium) - I shared this pizza with my nephew and it was really good. Just a heads-up: it's a bit spicy because of the hot pepper oil (Maldon salt and Tony's hot pepper oil). If you prefer less heat, you might want to ask them to go easy on the pepper oil. The pizza also includes ricotta, sliced mozzarella, pesto, burrata cheese, and agave garlic. Dessert We tried the Freshly-Baked Chocolate Chip Cookies. You can probably skip this. About the Name Back to the name "Slice House." Yes, they actually sell pizza by the slice, which is a great option. I noticed several big-sized guys ordering just one slice each -- though maybe that was just their snack. Interior and Exterior Tables - At first we sat inside but there was a man loudly cheering at the basketball game that was shown on the wall TV. (The inside was fairly nice except for the loud man. I think he was an unhoused individual but he was neat and fairly pleasant.) We moved to the outdoor seating. It was pleasant especially at 80 degrees after dark. Service - You order at the counter and the staff was pleasant. Location This eatery is located in the entertainment complex where AMC Burbank 16 is located, directly across from the theater. Parking Use the complex parking structure and enter from N. 1st Street. Parking is free, although the structure can feel a bit cramped. Overall A good casual dining spot, especially if you're catching a movie nearby. I'd come back for the pizza -- but next time I'd skip the salad and dessert. Rating: 4 out of 5 stars.

    XL 20" Motorhead

5* Food 5* Service 4.5 Ambiance I'm a fan of Slice House and now my family is on board too! Everyone was impressed and blown away with the crust and flavors. My first experience was at their Porter Ranch location, and it was great. However, I absolutely LOVE the Burbank location because of the service and atmosphere. The pizza at both locations is fabulous and exceptional, but Farzan went above and beyond to make my experience truly exceptional and unexpected. He was kind, courteous, and even offered to carry my three large pizzas to the car. WOW! His recommendations were spot on, as I wanted to try the Purple Potato and the award winning Cal Italia. I also ordered the Motorhead, which was absolutely fantastic. Of the three pizzas, hands down our favorite was the Purple Potato. The bacon and pesto sauce made this pizza exceptional. Both aesthetically and flavorful, this was perhaps the best pizza I have ever had. The Motorhead was also incredibly flavorful and the basil on top elevated it beyond your typical pepperoni-and-sausage pizza. Our least favorite was the Cal Italia, as it didn't really stand out in flavor. It was a bit sweet and lacked the "pop" that the other pizzas had. The fig sauce, asiago and gorgenzola cheese did not really stand out. With both indoor and outdoor seating, this clean and more attractive location is my new favorite pizza house. Thanks to Farzan for leaving an inspiring impression of what the service industry needs more of.

    Hot Honey Slice
    Mary A.

Very big space with plenty of seating. The service was friendly, although it did take a while for our order to come out. I ordered the Hot Honey Slice and was impressed by how large the slice was for the price. Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed with the flavor. The pizza was extremely greasy and lacked the hot honey flavor I was expecting. I'd still be willing to come back and try some of their other slices, but I would personally pass on the Hot Honey Slice.

    Hawaiian Hit Man
    Lucy Y.

The best Hawaiian pizza ever! We tried the Hawaiian Hit Man, & even my friend who is NOT usually a fan of pineapple on pizza loved this one. The pineapple is fresh - not canned like you usually find on pizzas - and it's sliced suuuper thinly, so it's still crispy. Then there's smoked ham and Applewood smoked bacon on it, and honey! We got the thin NY style & seriously, I'd come back just for this. We also tried the Detroit style Sweet Gino. We wanted to like this just as much, but it was too bready for us. If you like a puffy thick crust, this one is actually light - not as heavy as others. And the sauce is very good. Since this is the only place I have ever seen that uses fresh pineapple, & their Hawaiian is so good, I will definitely be back!

    DET Sweet Gino

Had lunch at the Burbank location on April 20, 2026. This location is right off the I-5 and there are several different eateries and businesses here. You have to use the parking garage but parking is free. Slice house is a order at the counter and pay then your order is brought to you. We ordered the following. 1. Slice of NY style Pepperoni pizza was delicious but a bit greasy due to the pepperoni. 2. Slice of Wise Guy NY style, this pizza had so many flavors going on that it was my favorite. It had tomato sauce, mozzarella, sweet and spicy Italian sausage, ricotta, pepperoni, Tony's Hot Pepper Oil and green onions 3. DET Motorhead: Detroit style pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella, salami, mushrooms, pepperoni, onions, applewood smoked bacon, Italian sausage, ricotta cheese and basil this one was equally as delicious but wasn't a fan of the greasy pan style 4. DET Sweet Gino: Detroit style pizza with tomato sauce, sliced and ovoline mozzarella, basil and sea salt. This was ok but nothing special. 5. DET Red Top: white cheddar, brick cheese, mozzarella, with two racing stripes of tomato sauce, garlic, Romano and oregano. This was also pretty tasty but not as flavorful as the Wise Guy. 6. House salad that came with my lunch special. This was awful!! Teeny, tiny amount of lettuce and was pretty wilted. I did like the balsamic vinegar, great quality. 7. Cal Italia: whole pie: no tomato sauce, Asiago, imported Gorgonzola, mozzarella, sweet fig preserve, prosciutto de Parma, parmigiano-reggiano and balsamic reduction. This was very good Overall, pizza was great not super authentic but they do use good quality ingredients. Staff was friendly and patient. The ambiance is very casual.

    Cheese Slice
    Deweyne L.

My whole plan walking into Slice House was to finally try the Detroit style pizza. Sold out for the night. Disappointing, but honestly a good sign for them. I pivoted to a cheese slice and I'm glad I did. Perfectly thin with a nice crisp to the crust, the sauce and cheese were balanced just right, nothing overdone. It was one of those slices that reminds you how good simple pizza can be when it's done well. Slice House is officially one of my new favorites.

Can I order a slice or only whole pizzas? I am assuming by the name that I can...

They've got a selection of daily slices in various styles available you can order (but not customize).

Any gluten free options at this location?

You can get Gluten Free option on 12" medium pizza. It is not available for the already made slices nor any of the other styles of pizza.

Can you build your own pizza and toppings? Website seems to only have designated pizzas.

Great question Steve! While we don't have build your own pizzas, we have plenty of pizza options for every kind of palate. You can order any whole pizza off the menu or select one of the slices (the options rotate every day). We hope to see you soon!

It felt like it needed a protein , or some kind aioli, it was dry and not super tasty. Coffees were ok. 70$ for 2 people to eat breakfast and 2 coffees, A bit pricey, and you order at the counter and have options for 18,20,25% tip , which felt weird and pressured to do before my food had even arrived. So I tipped 11$ for someone to bring me out food I guess. Ambiance was nice, very empty but pretty inside. I would go back to try their wood fired pizza. Not sure I'll be back for breakfast.

It was actually hard to decide on just one bakery item - everything looked delicious. Next time the coffee cake will be happening. I got poached eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast. Husband got a hash omelette. Both come with a lovely little side of greens with a great dressing. Brunch isn't brunch without a little libation, so I had a lovely French white wine and he had a French red. The wine list though small by the glass is chosen very well. We were hoping they sold their bread at the bakery because it's absolutely delicious. Service is warm and friendly. Price point for breakfast with tip was $100. We will definitely be coming back soon to this great neighborhood spot.

We did lunch and had a Bulgogi Breakfast Burrito (outstanding, and will 100% return for this one), Dirty Fries with Bulgogi (more goodness from the bulgogi), Loco Moco and a Salmon Sashimi Bowl, both delicious! Portions were big and it's a good value. They were awesome to acknowledge a birthday with a stellar Creme Brulee! Service was very efficient. We'll definitely be back!

My son didn't make a reservation because it was a Wednesday night and he didn't think it would be crowded. But with 5 adults and a baby carriage, we had to wait for the right table because the somewhat small restaurant was full. We soon got a good spot and ordered the shrimp ceviche and the pan fried dumplings for appetizers. The ceviche was served on a bed of crispy noodles and it was refreshing and satisfying. The dumplings were crispy, not greasy, and flavorful. For dinner, we got 2 orders of japchae and 3 orders of bibimbap. With 2 Korean-born children and having visited the country, those are among our family's favorite dishes. And they did not disappoint. The japchae noodles were just right. They were not too firm and not too soft and well-seasoned. With a mixture of veggies, meat, mushrooms, eggs, and that delectable sauce, the bibimbap tickled and satiated the tastebuds. I told the server there was a birthday at the table and she brought out an excellent creme brulee with a candle in it. My husband and I didn't pay the bill. But the prices were reasonable with most of the entrees costing less than $20 each. We have four more days in town and may very well make another visit to indulge in that scrumptious food.

DineLA Week comes around only twice a year. Once in the winter (January/February) and once in the…read moresummer (July/August). If nothing else, I always make an effort to squeeze in at least one new restaurant in their lineup. For one, I get to sample what each restaurant considers to be their most popular menu items or exclusive dishes. Also, it's often a tasting menu that offers a little bit more. More like a foodie's bonus prize, just for participating. Yakumi looked good this time around. Probably because I'd eat sushi any day/every day, if I could. And I was able to find a quick prix fixe style sushi solution without roshambeau'ing with myself for hours, deciding on what to eat. YAKUMI BOX + THE DineLA MENU On the regular menu, the Yakima Box is $29 and no drink's included. During DineLA week, this filling lunch choice was just $25 and came with a shōchū cocktail as a refreshing bonus. It included: + Sunomono or seaweed salad + 1 piece of tuna sushi + 2 pieces each of yellowtail, salmon, and albacore topped with fried shallots (Note: It's not the fresh green scallions with ponzu sauce recipe) + A choice of 2 classic rolls like 2-piece baked crab roll, or 4-pieces of yellowtail jalapeño, spicy tuna, spicy salmon, avocado, and California roll (Note: The crab roll was buttery and tasty; the spicy tuna was standard) + My bonus drink: Mango Lychee Shochu The fish was fresh, the mango lychee cocktail was refreshing. Both were on the lighter side and pleasant for a lunchtime meal. INDOOR SEATING + OUTDOOR PATIO Sit inside or outside? To settle the debate, I did both while waiting for my lunch date to arrive. The warm, sunny patio was lovely, but there are only a few spots in the shade during certain times of the day, even with the awning drawn. Indoors, it's quaint and mirrors the koi fish artwork that graces the corner of the restaurant's exterior. It adds an authentic seafood-centric, Japanese charm to the ambiance. Service was prompt, although it wasn't a very busy time. Just across the street at Alfred Coffee, however, the second wave of a caffeine rush hour--needing their daily fix--rolled by as we paid. For me, on the other hand, the light shōchū buzz and pleasant stroll to my car was a foodie's bonus I'd come back for again.

Sweetfin labels themselves as chef-inspired poke bowls with premium ingredients and bold flavours…read more Unfortunately, this is far from it. Having spent $93.40, the quality of the yellowfin tuna is hardly high quality and the quantity of fish was about 1/3 the amount of regular poke places. Items ordered were the Classic Tura, Superfood Bowl, Spicy Tuna Bowl, Keto Bowl, and two different BYOB burrito - all barely had any flavour...can we say bland? Also, the bowls and burritos were filled with primarily the base ingredients (rice/cauliflower rice), sweet potatoes, kale and bean sprouts (depending upon the bowl selected). These items are not only inexpensive but fills up the bowl. If you call it a poke bowl, at least 50 percent of the bowl should be filled with poke and not filler. Otherwise, it would be called a rice bowl with poke! Street parking is difficult in this Burbank location and I was greeted with a hostile attitude even though I spent nearly $100.00. Both food and service is lacklustre.

I actually thought it was Sweetin until I realized it said Sweetfin. Lol! Went inside to see what kind of food items they serve. It's a poke bowl eatery that specializes in vegan meals. We ordered the Spicy Tuna Poke Bowl to try it out. Everything was made fresh as you order. They have a variety of meals on their menu. Serving for the price is ok. I was hoping for a spicy, delicious tuna poke bowl. This specific spicy tuna poke bowl was bland. It lacks taste and flavor. It wasn't what I expected. They also don't take cash. I look forward to stopping by Sweetfin Poke Burbank to try other food items on their menu to give them another try.
