    Hot Honey Slice
    Mary A.

Very big space with plenty of seating. The service was friendly, although it did take a while for our order to come out. I ordered the Hot Honey Slice and was impressed by how large the slice was for the price. Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed with the flavor. The pizza was extremely greasy and lacked the hot honey flavor I was expecting. I'd still be willing to come back and try some of their other slices, but I would personally pass on the Hot Honey Slice.

A nice pizza spot in the main area of downtown Burbank, across from the AMC theaters. Food: The pizza was good as you can taste the freshness of the ingredients. I got the "traditional" (pan style pepperoni and sausage) and the "pepperoni" (NY style I believe) and both were great as far sauce, meats, cheese and crust. Service: It was simple but it does get very packed in there (on a Saturday night) as it took me almost 30 mins for 2 slices since traditional and pepperoni sell out fast. They give you a buzzer or number to bring the food to you. Ambiance: They have a good amount of tables inside and out, soda fountain and 2 bathrooms. It's simple and partially clean due to all the people leaving their mess behind.

I'd been here once before for a YE event. This time wasn't as amazing. We went on a Saturday evening and the place was packed. We ate outside. There was trash all over. We had to clean our own table. We shared pizza slices of Angeleno, Motorhead, a meatball sub and a Caesar salad. I loved the Motorhead. He loved the Angeleno. The meatball would have been better with more sauce. The salad was big and not as fresh as I like.

During an unexpected business visit I had the opportunity to try the Slice House. I was pretty pleased with this choice for sure. A good pizza for lunch is always a good thing. The gentleman behind the counter was friendly and hospitable. He brought my order out to me pretty quickly. The outside patio was a great place to enjoy my lunch as it was nice being in the fresh air and not a lot of people. So it was peaceful for sure.

I actually love pizza so much. It's honestly gluttonous and disgusting the way I'll tear into a slice of pizza. We tried Slice House in Burbank and it was so damn good. Me and Josh shared three slices: the NY Hot Honey, Detroit Motörhead, and Sicilian Wise Guy. All three were really good. I tried the New York Hot Honey first and it was so yummy. It had this nice sweetness from the honey. If I'm being honest, it kind of tasted like sugar water, but in a good way somehow. The bottom was nicely crispy too, which I love. The Sicilian Wise Guy was a little too "bready" for my taste, like a little more done than I usually like, but the toppings were so good that I still enjoyed it. But I will not get over the Detroit Motörhead. That one was everything. It was so perfectly soft and pretty, and the edge pieces with the burnt/crispy cheese were insanely good. I loved the tomato sauce too. I love messy pizza, and that one was just perfect. If I could get a Detroit Motörhead every day, I probably would. Easily one of the best pizza slices I've had. I can't wait to try more kinds of pizza there too. I really like that this place has different styles because ever since going to New York I've been talking nonstop about NY pizza, but this reminded me there are so many good kinds of pizza out there.

Chardonnay sold by the bottle-- a half bottle for, $16.

Solid pizza and a convenient spot before a movie at AMC Burbank -- just skip the salad and dessert. Tony does not live here. That is, there is no Tony here. This is a chain restaurant created by a pizza chef named Tony Gemignani. According to online sources, he is a 13-time world pizza champion and supposedly one of the most well-known pizza makers in the U.S. Visited last Saturday for early dinner with my niece and nephew. First tip: skip the salad. We ordered the Bacon Arugula Salad, but the greens were wilted and the bacon amounted to only a few small pieces. Drinks Jarritos Pineapple soda - My niece and nephew ordered this. Chardonnay (half bottle) - $16. Pretty good. They sell wine by the bottle (both regular and half bottles), which I appreciate. Main Course Pasta Gemelli with Vodka Cream - My niece ordered this and liked it. Pizza Burrata Queen (12" medium) - I shared this pizza with my nephew and it was really good. Just a heads-up: it's a bit spicy because of the hot pepper oil (Maldon salt and Tony's hot pepper oil). If you prefer less heat, you might want to ask them to go easy on the pepper oil. The pizza also includes ricotta, sliced mozzarella, pesto, burrata cheese, and agave garlic. Dessert We tried the Freshly-Baked Chocolate Chip Cookies. You can probably skip this. About the Name Back to the name "Slice House." Yes, they actually sell pizza by the slice, which is a great option. I noticed several big-sized guys ordering just one slice each -- though maybe that was just their snack. Interior and Exterior Tables - At first we sat inside but there was a man loudly cheering at the basketball game that was shown on the wall TV. (The inside was fairly nice except for the loud man. I think he was an unhoused individual but he was neat and fairly pleasant.) We moved to the outdoor seating. It was pleasant especially at 80 degrees after dark. Service - You order at the counter and the staff was pleasant. Location This eatery is located in the entertainment complex where AMC Burbank 16 is located, directly across from the theater. Parking Use the complex parking structure and enter from N. 1st Street. Parking is free, although the structure can feel a bit cramped. Overall A good casual dining spot, especially if you're catching a movie nearby. I'd come back for the pizza -- but next time I'd skip the salad and dessert. Rating: 4 out of 5 stars.

    DET Sweet Gino

Had lunch at the Burbank location on April 20, 2026. This location is right off the I-5 and there are several different eateries and businesses here. You have to use the parking garage but parking is free. Slice house is a order at the counter and pay then your order is brought to you. We ordered the following. 1. Slice of NY style Pepperoni pizza was delicious but a bit greasy due to the pepperoni. 2. Slice of Wise Guy NY style, this pizza had so many flavors going on that it was my favorite. It had tomato sauce, mozzarella, sweet and spicy Italian sausage, ricotta, pepperoni, Tony's Hot Pepper Oil and green onions 3. DET Motorhead: Detroit style pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella, salami, mushrooms, pepperoni, onions, applewood smoked bacon, Italian sausage, ricotta cheese and basil this one was equally as delicious but wasn't a fan of the greasy pan style 4. DET Sweet Gino: Detroit style pizza with tomato sauce, sliced and ovoline mozzarella, basil and sea salt. This was ok but nothing special. 5. DET Red Top: white cheddar, brick cheese, mozzarella, with two racing stripes of tomato sauce, garlic, Romano and oregano. This was also pretty tasty but not as flavorful as the Wise Guy. 6. House salad that came with my lunch special. This was awful!! Teeny, tiny amount of lettuce and was pretty wilted. I did like the balsamic vinegar, great quality. 7. Cal Italia: whole pie: no tomato sauce, Asiago, imported Gorgonzola, mozzarella, sweet fig preserve, prosciutto de Parma, parmigiano-reggiano and balsamic reduction. This was very good Overall, pizza was great not super authentic but they do use good quality ingredients. Staff was friendly and patient. The ambiance is very casual.

    Cheese Slice

My whole plan walking into Slice House was to finally try the Detroit style pizza. Sold out for the night. Disappointing, but honestly a good sign for them. I pivoted to a cheese slice and I'm glad I did. Perfectly thin with a nice crisp to the crust, the sauce and cheese were balanced just right, nothing overdone. It was one of those slices that reminds you how good simple pizza can be when it's done well. Slice House is officially one of my new favorites.

Pizza slices from Too Good To Go--pretty good for day old slices
    Erina P.

I've been to Slice House a few times and each time I've gone, I've enjoyed the pizza I've had. I would say that my favorite is the Gramma style crust--it's crispy and chewy without being too thick or thin. Pizza slices are about $6 to $8 each, so a bit on the higher side, but there's always a decent selection and they have daily specials too. Service has been pretty quick when I've gone, and the store is in a pretty central part of Burbank so it's a great place to get a casual meal or snack before walking around downtown or catching a movie at the AMC. Plenty of parking nearby.

Just had breakfast, walking around in Burbank found this pizza joint that I've been wanting to go to. Came in to check it out and found that they sell pizza by the slice. Grab a couple slices to enjoy it later. Great customer service!

If this was my first experience at a Slice House location, I wouldn't give the brand another shot. I felt like the employee was rushing me through the line even though no one else was behind me. He initially grabbed the wrong slice because he heard the first word I said and assumed incorrectly. The worst part is, the slice wasn't even heated properly when I got it. I'm a big fan of the Slice House location in Simi Valley, so I was excited when I realized I had one near my job. Unfortunately, my experience at this location was severely disappointing and I doubt I'll ever return. This is the type of experience that turns away new customers and stops returning ones from coming back.

If you ever needed a break from the smell of popcorn after a movie at the AMC, I would come to Slice House where the smell of warm dough and tangy sauce will pull you in. Although it can come off a bit pricey, the quality and size of the slice balances it. I love a good crunchy, thin crust pizza, and this one has enough hold so it does flop too much and fall apart. The slices come out quickly and there are a variety to choose from. I had the bbq pizza which is one of my favorite slices from here. There's usually a good amount of seating for all group sizes and the staff is always quick and efficient.

Had a movie reservation tonight and my partner and I were in the mood for pizza. Decided to finally give slice house a try and I'm so mad I'm late to this spot. This is some of the best pizza I've had in LA. Service and ambiance were great also. We ordered the grandma style "wiseguy" which was recommended to us by the worker. It was delicious and you can tell they use high quality ingredients. We also ordered the bbq chicken. Without a doubt the best bbq chicken pizza I've ever had. 10/10 across the board. If you're in the area it's a must try. Perfect spot to get before a AMC movie reservation. Can't wait to come back and try more of their menu!

Can I order a slice or only whole pizzas? I am assuming by the name that I can...

They've got a selection of daily slices in various styles available you can order (but not customize).

Any gluten free options at this location?

You can get Gluten Free option on 12" medium pizza. It is not available for the already made slices nor any of the other styles of pizza.

Can you build your own pizza and toppings? Website seems to only have designated pizzas.

Great question Steve! While we don't have build your own pizzas, we have plenty of pizza options for every kind of palate. You can order any whole pizza off the menu or select one of the slices (the options rotate every day). We hope to see you soon!

Give it a try. You'll be glad you did.

We hosted about 20 people for lunch and everything was delicious. I selected the Rigatoni Bolognese, Chicken Piccata, and Baby Gem Caesar salad for the lunch menu. We also added pizzas for extra options and I brought a cake. I don't like cannolis so bring your own dessert if you're not a cannoli fan! Rose, the event coordinator, was amazing to work with and made the process so easy. Pricing was very fair for the overall experience. The decor during Christmas/new years was beautiful. Our server's name if I am not mistaken was Edward. He went above and beyond in providing customer service. He made recommendations on what to order and what their popular food items were. For food, this location is offering brunch now. I can say food was very tasteful. I really enjoyed my waffle. It was so yummy. I can say it was one of the best waffles I had. For ambiance, this location has a very lovely ambiance and decoration. It is perfect for a date night or casual hangout with friends. It is nicely decorated and there is a small water fountain too. They also have private rooms for small events. For parking, there is metered street parking and there are couple of public parking locations available.

Uovo absolutely lives up to the hype. Thomas was great!…read more The biggest thing that stands out is how fresh everything tastes--especially the pasta. Knowing it's flown in from Italy daily sounds like a gimmick, but once you try it, you get it. The texture is unreal--perfectly al dente and way different from your typical spot. I ordered the Cacio e Pepe and the Carbonara, and both were incredible. The Cacio e Pepe was simple but ridiculously flavorful, and the Carbonara was rich without being too heavy. You can tell they focus on doing a few things really well instead of overcomplicating the menu. Service was fast and efficient, and the whole place has a clean, modern vibe. It does get busy, so expect a bit of a wait, but turnover is quick so it's not a dealbreaker. If you're a pasta person, this spot is a must. Easily one of the best casual Italian meals in LA.

From my first call to restaurateur Eric to make a reservation earlier in the week, the experience was as warm and personable as can be. Within minutes of our arrival, we were greeted by co-restaurateur Antonio, and we instantly felt like family at the beautiful, private table they had thoughtfully reserved for us by the window. Our wonderful server, Jessica, made the night even brighter. We started with some Peach Puree Bellini Prosecco that was crisp, refreshing, and beyond amazing. The food arrived with impressive speed, but the quality was truly second to none. My wife absolutely loved the special of the night--a Tiger Shrimp and Asparagus Linguini--and my Angus Beef Bolognese with savory short rib ragu was easily the best I've ever had. Antonio and Jessica checked on us frequently, chatting about the day and the amazing history of the restaurant. This was NOT just a night out at a "restaurant." This was quite literally getting together with family and having the time of our lives. Prosecco Trattoria is not "just another place to eat"--it is now our favorite home away from home for artfully prepared food and drinks. To Eric, Antonio, and Jessica: thank you for welcoming us into your family for such a special milestone!

The hubby wanted to eat out Italian for a cozy Sunday, holiday evening. And have never ventured here in Toluca Lake; and what an elegant, delight! Jessica was our server. She made our experience delectable, truly! Noticed every detail, and with warm humor. She recommended my husband read the desert menu aloud, for the romance of it all. And it works and that's true! Hehe I ordered the 4-cheese Ravioli in tomatoe sauce, and it's unlike any I've EVER had. It's about 5 inches in diameter, round+ mostly flat, and not too salty. Absolutely delicious! Jessica offered to sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top, the service! Unmatched. The Italian seasoning added to the tomatoe sauce, makes it sweeter, aromatic. If you're familiar with my reviews, I'm always searching for vegetarian options. For desert we had the Panna Cotta with wild berries. Excellent, yummy! And we kept it cozy, with mint hot tea. Which is always a go-to around the Xmas holidays. The decor is northern Italian elegance: hand painted art, crystal chandeliers, and white linens abound. Reminds me of when we hiked the hills of Tuscany. With the holiday touch of twinkle lights and fresh winter floral bouquets. It seems most locals frequent here: Are known by name, and had the front door held open for them if elderly. What sweet, kindness and local vibes. We'll be back, to try perhaps the chicken the hubby says. :) Thank you all for an exceptional, romantic Sunday night dinner with my Hubby, during the holidays.
