The best Hawaiian pizza ever! We tried the Hawaiian Hit Man, & even my friend who is NOT usually a fan of pineapple on pizza loved this one. The pineapple is fresh - not canned like you usually find on pizzas - and it's sliced suuuper thinly, so it's still crispy. Then there's smoked ham and Applewood smoked bacon on it, and honey! We got the thin NY style & seriously, I'd come back just for this. We also tried the Detroit style Sweet Gino. We wanted to like this just as much, but it was too bready for us. If you like a puffy thick crust, this one is actually light - not as heavy as others. And the sauce is very good. And even the best Pizza in NYC is $6 a slice. Bleaker Street, John's... even Artichoke. I understand the owner is well accomplished, recognized and award winning. That's great. Brought my daughters here today for what turned into a full-on pizza style showdown -- four different slices, four different crusts, all served in their signature individual boxes. The spread looked impressive on the table, and the presentation alone earns points. The Focaccia was a standout -- beautifully topped with pools of fresh mozzarella, bright tomato sauce, and fragrant basil. Light, airy, and full of flavor. The Detroit style was equally impressive -- thick, crispy-edged crust with sauce ladled generously on top and finished with fresh herbs. Both were outstanding and absolutely worth the trip. The New York style was loaded -- we're talking pepperoni, sausage, olives, cherry tomatoes, and roasted peppers piled high. Visually, it's a showstopper. But flavor-wise, it didn't quite match the excitement. It was good, just not distinctly different from what you'd expect at a chain. For a chef of Tony Gemignani's caliber, the NY slice felt like it was coasting. One consistent issue across the meat toppings: extremely salty. It was noticeable enough that we were reaching for drinks throughout the meal -- whether that's intentional or not, it's worth flagging if you're watching your sodium. A nice pizza spot in the main area of downtown Burbank, across from the AMC theaters. Food: The pizza was good as you can taste the freshness of the ingredients. I got the "traditional" (pan style pepperoni and sausage) and the "pepperoni" (NY style I believe) and both were great as far sauce, meats, cheese and crust. Service: It was simple but it does get very packed in there (on a Saturday night) as it took me almost 30 mins for 2 slices since traditional and pepperoni sell out fast. The gentleman behind the counter was friendly and hospitable. He brought my order out to me pretty quickly. I actually love pizza so much. It's honestly gluttonous and disgusting the way I'll tear into a slice of pizza. We tried Slice House in Burbank and it was so damn good. Me and Josh shared three slices: the NY Hot Honey, Detroit Motörhead, and Sicilian Wise Guy. All three were really good. I tried the New York Hot Honey first and it was so yummy. It had this nice sweetness from the honey. If I'm being honest, it kind of tasted like sugar water, but in a good way somehow. The bottom was nicely crispy too, which I love. The Sicilian Wise Guy was a little too "bready" for my taste, like a little more done than I usually like, but the toppings were so good that I still enjoyed it. But I will not get over the Detroit Motörhead. That one was everything. It was so perfectly soft and pretty, and the edge pieces with the burnt/crispy cheese were insanely good. I loved the tomato sauce too. I love messy pizza, and that one was just perfect. If I could get a Detroit Motörhead every day, I probably would. Easily one of the best pizza slices I've had. Solid pizza and a convenient spot before a movie at AMC Burbank -- just skip the salad and dessert. Tony does not live here. That is, there is no Tony here. This is a chain restaurant created by a pizza chef named Tony Gemignani. According to online sources, he is a 13-time world pizza champion and supposedly one of the most well-known pizza makers in the U.S. Visited last Saturday for early dinner with my niece and nephew. First tip: skip the salad. We ordered the Bacon Arugula Salad, but the greens were wilted and the bacon amounted to only a few small pieces. Drinks Jarritos Pineapple soda - My niece and nephew ordered this. Chardonnay (half bottle) - $16. Pretty good. They sell wine by the bottle (both regular and half bottles), which I appreciate. Main Course Pasta Gemelli with Vodka Cream - My niece ordered this and liked it. Pizza Burrata Queen (12" medium) - I shared this pizza with my nephew and it was really good. Just a heads-up: it's a bit spicy because of the hot pepper oil (Maldon salt and Tony's hot pepper oil). If you prefer less heat, you might want to ask them to go easy on the pepper oil. The pizza also includes ricotta, sliced mozzarella, pesto, burrata cheese, and agave garlic. Dessert We tried the Freshly-Baked Chocolate Chip Cookies. You can probably skip this. About the Name Back to the name "Slice House." Yes, they actually sell pizza by the slice, which is a great option. I noticed several big-sized guys ordering just one slice each -- though maybe that was just their snack. Interior and Exterior Tables - At first we sat inside but there was a man loudly cheering at the basketball game that was shown on the wall TV. (The inside was fairly nice except for the loud man. I think he was an unhoused individual but he was neat and fairly pleasant.) We moved to the outdoor seating. It was pleasant especially at 80 degrees after dark. Service - You order at the counter and the staff was pleasant. Location This eatery is located in the entertainment complex where AMC Burbank 16 is located, directly across from the theater. Parking Use the complex parking structure and enter from N. 1st Street. Parking is free, although the structure can feel a bit cramped. Had lunch at the Burbank location on April 20, 2026. This location is right off the I-5 and there are several different eateries and businesses here. You have to use the parking garage but parking is free. Slice house is a order at the counter and pay then your order is brought to you. We ordered the following. 1. Slice of NY style Pepperoni pizza was delicious but a bit greasy due to the pepperoni. 2. Slice of Wise Guy NY style, this pizza had so many flavors going on that it was my favorite. It had tomato sauce, mozzarella, sweet and spicy Italian sausage, ricotta, pepperoni, Tony's Hot Pepper Oil and green onions 3. DET Motorhead: Detroit style pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella, salami, mushrooms, pepperoni, onions, applewood smoked bacon, Italian sausage, ricotta cheese and basil this one was equally as delicious but wasn't a fan of the greasy pan style 4. DET Sweet Gino: Detroit style pizza with tomato sauce, sliced and ovoline mozzarella, basil and sea salt. This was ok but nothing special. 5. DET Red Top: white cheddar, brick cheese, mozzarella, with two racing stripes of tomato sauce, garlic, Romano and oregano. This was also pretty tasty but not as flavorful as the Wise Guy. 6. House salad that came with my lunch special. This was awful!! Teeny, tiny amount of lettuce and was pretty wilted. I did like the balsamic vinegar, great quality. 7. Cal Italia: whole pie: no tomato sauce, Asiago, imported Gorgonzola, mozzarella, sweet fig preserve, prosciutto de Parma, parmigiano-reggiano and balsamic reduction. My whole plan walking into Slice House was to finally try the Detroit style pizza. Sold out for the night. Disappointing, but honestly a good sign for them. I pivoted to a cheese slice and I'm glad I did. Perfectly thin with a nice crisp to the crust, the sauce and cheese were balanced just right, nothing overdone. I actually appreciate that the sauce is only spread over a portion of the slice because it's a strong flavor and would be too monotonous if it was spread over the entire slice. If this was my first experience at a Slice House location, I wouldn't give the brand another shot. I felt like the employee was rushing me through the line even though no one else was behind me. He initially grabbed the wrong slice because he heard the first word I said and assumed incorrectly. The worst part is, the slice wasn't even heated properly when I got it. I'm a big fan of the Slice House location in Simi Valley, so I was excited when I realized I had one near my job. If you ever needed a break from the smell of popcorn after a movie at the AMC, I would come to Slice House where the smell of warm dough and tangy sauce will pull you in. Although it can come off a bit pricey, the quality and size of the slice balances it. I love a good crunchy, thin crust pizza, and this one has enough hold so it does flop too much and fall apart. The slices come out quickly and there are a variety to choose from. I had the bbq pizza which is one of my favorite slices from here. The employee working the register didn't give us a number or receipt when we ordered, but they told my husband they would call out his name when our order was ready. This is some of the best pizza I've had in LA. Service and ambiance were great also. We ordered the grandma style "wiseguy" which was recommended to us by the worker. It was delicious and you can tell they use high quality ingredients. We also ordered the bbq chicken. Without a doubt the best bbq chicken pizza I've ever had. 10/10 across the board. Food 10/10 Service 0/10 We came in a little over an hour before they closed, with two parties ahead of us in line. When we got to the counter to order the employee was so unhelpful. We asked if we could do half and half of a pizza he said only the toppings, if the base is different then no. Which is understandable. Can't have half white sauce and half red sauce. So we choose two pizzas will the same base and he said no, you can't do that. Then he says you can maybe add an extra topping. That completely contradicted what he had said less than a minute ago. We chose a single pizza and meatballs because we gave up trying to make it work. And he said for here or to-go, and we said for here. Before he gave us our number to put on the table he said "just so you know we close at 10pm so you have to finish by then" How rude, we had plenty of time and even before we sit down he's already trying to rush us out. Then I go to get my soda from the fountain and they're all flat. No carbonation at all. I tried all the options there and just gave up and got brisk ice tea. The staff were cleaning the lobby already, and there was still a line formed of people coming in since it's right in front of the AMC 16. I would go back to a different location. It's cool that we can see what the pizza looks like when we order it. And they finish cooking it to order. The pizzas came out quickly. They were so delicious. My only knock on this location is I wish slices were maybe a dollar or two cheaper. If they were, I'd drive out of my way to come here to eat all the time because the pizza is amazing. If I am in the Burbank Town Center and hungry, there's a good chance I will walk over to Slice House. It's a wonderful by the slice (& whole pie) place that specializes in just about every type of pizza you could imagine. It's a pizza lover's dream. If you're with a group and someone wants NY style? They've got you. Detroit? They've got you. Grandma style? Yup. They really have every type of pizza under the sun. I love it. Staff does a great job of moving the line along and there's a decent amount of seating that there's a good chance you'll be able to find a place to sit down and enjoy your pie if you're not taking it to go. (speaking of which, I really wish the theatre would let you bring in their food. I'd love to take their food in for dinner and a movie). The interior of the resturant has a bit of a sports bar vibe with TVs showing games & everything and a bit of just local pizza joint. It walks the fine perfectly. Honestly, if you haven't tried Slice House, do yourself a favor and go as soon as possible. Yes, it's a tad pricey, but I think it's worth it. While the pizza itself is solid, the service has consistently brought down the overall experience for me. What stands out is that the highest level of care seems to come from management - on the one occasion I went out of my way to compliment the service, it turned out to be a general manager. As someone with some background in hospitality, the difference in attention to customer experience is very noticeable. On my most recent visit, I made a simple request for a fresher slice from a newly prepared pizza rather than one that had been sitting out longer. Although I believe the request was communicated, the slice I received didn't reflect that, and I went to double check and it was in fact one of the slices that had been sitting out for idk how long. It may seem like a small detail, but it does impact the overall experience - especially when freshness is something customers can easily recognize. I'd love to see more customer care consistency across the team, because the product itself is there. read more

Let me start by saying I _love_ Tony's at Oracle Park and the one in San Francisco. I was excited to try the one here on a trip. Not 100% sure if the fault is them or DoorDash, a little bit of both I think, but the whole experience was not great. The Pizza: it was their usual, and their usual is good, but it was ice cold by the time I got it and congealed oil is never really very festive. I do love their crust. The salad was wilted, there were some decayed pieces which I've come to expect with mixed greens, which is why I never order it, we ordered the Caesar and it was Romaine. The anchovies were cheap. I love anchovies, but not shriveled dark brown ones. They should be plump and juicy! Fail. No utensils. Given that we're staying in a hotel that's kind of a problem. Ugh. No hot peppers offered. Also a bummer. Just - bleh. If you're staying at a hotel in the area, try something else. If you can go in person... Go for it. read more

New pizza place with a pedigree right across from the Batman statue holding court in front of the AMC 16 Theaters. Owner Tony Gemignani is a pizzaiolo, chef, instructor, author & reality TV star. He's a 13 time world pizza champion with 4 Guinness world records. The pizzas offered are in various styles: New York, Grandma, Detroit & Sicilian. I like that they have many choices (usually about 8!) available by the slice at $6.50 - $7.50 each. They have three pastas that I wouldn't really recommend. If you must, the pesto is the best of the three but over-priced at $16 for a small serving. I've tried a half dozen of their different slices and have been pleased with each one. There are TV screens with sports on and it's a comfortable place to watch a game while eating slices of (pizza) pie. The service is uneven though and I had to remind the server of my pasta order about 20 minutes after receiving my slice. They do deliver to your table. There's a self-serve soda machine and clean restrooms. There's ample free parking all around in the movie parking structures. I went on a Friday night. The place was absolutely packed. The workers were kind but could not keep up with the numerous orders. I felt bad because the heat radiating from the kitchen was very warm and the employees of course looked over heated. I had ordered ahead and my order was ready when I got there. Horrible horrible horrible. First stood in line for 40 minutes to order, to be told there are no more slices. I was forced to order a whole pizza. I Clearly stated no parmasan and it was noted on the receipt. We waited 45 minutes for the pizza to be ready and almost barffed because they stacked a layer of parmasan. Disgusting. Horrible food, horrible service just horrible period. Not only did they lie about not having slices and forced everyone to buy whole pizzas, then 1 hour later, put out slices, they dont even know how to read orders. The staff had no care nor did they have answers or reasons to any of the issues. All I wanted was 2 slices and forced to buy a whole pizza. 1.5 hours later they did exactly what I asked them not to do, poison me with parmasan. Been to slice house twice and had exact same issue. I stopped by Slice House to support a local fundraiser. Gotta love a restaurant that gives back to the community!!! I ordered a piece of Detroit Red Top Pizza (white cheddar with a stripe of sauce), a side of three meatballs, and a fountain drink. The pizza was delicious, even more so when I had the bright idea to dunk it in the generous serving of sauce that came with the super tasty meatballs. At slice House you order at the counter and then you pick up your order when it's ready. I only have use of one hand though so managing my slice of pizza, the meatballs, and the drink would have been impossible unless I took three trips back and forth to my table. Luckily I didn't have to do that since then gentleman who I placed my order with said he would bring the order to my table for me. Service like that goes above and beyond and is so appreciated.
