For that price, I expected something much more substantial. There were only a few small slices of pepper, a thin smear of whipped avocado, and a very small egg round. It was fine, but definitely underwhelming for the cost. My flat white was $7.50: $5.50 base, plus $1 for macadamia milk and another $1 for the second espresso shot. I found the latter a little odd since two shots are generally standard in a flat white. The coffee itself was good, but the pricing felt steep compared with other coffee shops around Burbank and NoHo. I genuinely love supporting local coffee shops and understand that costs have gone up, but overall the food pricing felt inflated for what you receive. I'd also love to see the prices and upcharges more clearly displayed upfront. We were lucky enough to find parking quickly, which is always a great way to start a breakfast adventure. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by a very cute, cozy dining room that was beautifully decorated for Halloween. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and relaxed. My wife ordered her usual avocado toast. It was very good, although we still think Claudine has the best avocado toast. I ordered a breakfast sandwich, and it was excellent. We also tried the chips, which tasted homemade and were absolutely delicious. While we were having breakfast, I watched plate after plate of pancakes marching past our table. They looked fantastic! I already know what I'm ordering next time: the pancake combo. But one thing that really stood out at Sweet Butter Kitchen was the service. The young lady at the front was incredibly sweet and welcoming, and every staff member we encountered was friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Sweet Butter Kitchen is definitely a must-try. The portion size was generous, and the egg was cooked perfectly and overall I really enjoyed it. I would highly recommend both items and would definitely stop in again next time I'm up in the valley.
