Mike generously answered every question, was patient with a customer's old gift card, and adjusted a customer's matcha when she said it was too sweet. Like, I literally had to look up from laptop a couple times because I was overhearing him being awesome to people. I'm not just talking about courtesy and baseline customer service, which bosses make their employees perform. He was just as sweet to the Door Dash/Uber Eats couriers. There was no figurative "wall" between him and the customer. It all just seemed more personal and like he really wanted everyone to leave feeling good. I know I did.
