I've been to the ALFRED location on Topanga at The Village shopping center a few times now, and it's definitely my favorite of the two locations I've visited. The staff has always been welcoming, the establishment is clean, and I really like the location. During one visit, I was accidentally overcharged for a drink, and it wasn't refunded that day. When I returned, the same server happened to be working and was able to give me a complimentary matcha for the mishap during my previous visit, which I appreciated. I actually really like ALFRED's matcha. Their strawberry matcha is sweet, the matcha flavor actually comes through, and the cream top adds just the right amount of sweetness. read more

Probably my favorite place ever lol, Alfred Coffee Studio City & I have lore!!! Been coming here consistently since 2019 and super mega consistently (like at least 4x a week lol) since 2024, I love the cute little vibes of this place, location is peak!! Peaceful but lively/the patio is great for peoplewatching and letting inspiration hit you!! The coffee is yummy (duh) but beyond that the staff is so lovely, everyone who works here is so sweet and goes above and beyond (I would shout everyone out individually but there's literally just too many awesome people), always asking how my day's going and if I have anything fun coming up :) This place was the first coffee shop where the baristas learned my name and therefore I would simply lay down my life for them. The manager, Armanda, runs this place like the Navy, making sure the good vibes are paired with excellent service & quick wait times for your latte. I love Alfred's! It was a first at this location , I had a conference near by and was excited to start my morning with their cloud espresso and bagel bites ! I came early , around 6:50 am and street meters parking is free until 8 am I believe . I did an online order because I know how busy it can get . We wanted to get coffee before going to Universal Studios and this is the perfect place to snag caffeine and a quick bite to eat before going! I love the vibes of this place and how dog friendly it is. The service was also very kind and patient despite visiting during the busy hours. I was a little worried about ordering the best vanilla latte from their menu, but I'm so glad I did who would've thought the vanilla flavor would be enhanced and somehow taste of higher quality? Alfred's is fine. It's always been overpriced but now every coffee shop is overpriced, but their flavored iced coffee separates (I guess it's not a liquid syrup for the sweetener), same with the famous iced vanilla latte, and you have to shake it constantly as you drink it. I know it's very un-diva-like to not enjoy that part but if I'm doing all that I want the coffee to be good lol. read more

Oh boy, I was really looking forward to trying this spot!! I know it's a pretty popular chain and there's quite a few of them that I've seen. We finally decided to drop by before our day trip to Universal Studios. First of all, parking is a nightmare and we happened to choose to come on a very busy day? Everyone stack parked on the street with their "park anywhere lights" on lol. It was obnoxious and hard to get around in this tiny street. There was a line out the door for the pizza place a few doors down, assuming everyone who parked here were for whatever they were having. We looped around and found a spot at the very end and just walked, no big deal. There was a bit of a line in this tiny coffee shop, love the beautiful aesthetic and decor. Ordered the drinks which came out pretty quickly. I obviously had to try their "World Famouse Vanilla Latte" iced and my bf got their "Oatnog Latte" iced. We both tried ours and each others and were not crazy about them. Tasted kind of watered down? Not enough creamer or sweetness? The flavor in the oatnog itself was a bit odd and couldn't pinpoint what it was exactly. We didn't finish our drinks but I need my coffee every morning and this kind of did the job. However... I love going to Alfred's every now and then to enjoy a really nice latte that's somewhat basic but it satisfies the iced latte/einspanner craving. Every Alfred's Coffee location has the winter-like ski lot vibe with wooden seating areas and somewhat rustic and woodsy decor. Service is always friendly but it gets very crowded often, so go during non-peak hours or not when you're in a massive rush. While Alfred's isn't THE place for the best matcha in the city, you can't go wrong with their coffee! I love a decaf latte there but they also have amazing chagaccinos, iced vanilla lattes, and protein-rich drinks as well. I ordered The world famous Vanilla iced latte. It was great. I really liked the taste, it was different than the similar drinks I order at other coffee shops. It became my to go order when visiting Alfred Coffee. For service, I was greeted as I walked in. There wasn't any line or people waiting for drinks. So I got my order faster than I expected. For ambiance, this is a little coffee shop with no seats inside. There is plenty of seating area outside which when I visited weather was nice. I got to enjoy the nice weather and my tasty coffee. For parking, this location is street parking only. I noticed in front of the store there weren't that many empty spots, but across the street were plenty. Had a lovely experience here yesterday grabbing some matcha! I ordered the iced matcha latte through the app and they made it very quickly with the customizations I added, which were lavender and pumpkin spice syrup and macadamia milk. When I came in, I wasn't sure where the drink was, but the employees were both very friendly and directed me to the shelf where it was. The matcha was delicious and the macadamia milk is so luscious and creamy. It worked perfectly! I also like how their iced drinks don't get too watered down! I really loved the flavors coming from the syrups and was surprised how well pumpkin spice and lavender really work together! It wasn't overly sweet too but just sweet enough to balance out the bitterness of the matcha. There was ample outdoor seating by the street and while it was covered, it was still very bright and sunny. It was relaxing to sit there and very clean and well maintained, just like the inside. Maybe it was an off day but my coffee was awful. I've never had any issues at the Pasadena location and when I saw this location while eating out decided to stop in for a midday pick me up. I ordered an iced americano with almond milk. A pretty simple drink. But it was awful. I could literally see the chunks of milk floating around. (Look at the photo I uploaded) Even the color was off ....it was severely watered down. I'm not one to say anything but I couldn't drink it. I went and asked if they could remake it and the girl gave me such attitude. She made me an iced latte instead and while it was fine. It wasn't my original order. Alfred is a cute little shop with only outdoor seating. They currently have a Frankenstein Netflix mural on the wall, which looks so cool! I ordered a medium iced matcha latte with whole milk ($7), and it was pretty good. Good matcha flavor and not sweet. Service was fast, which was nice. This is the 3rd Alfred's location I've been too and overall their drinks are about the same in each location! They have no indoor seating but have about 5 small tables outside if you'd like to sit and drink your coffee. You can park for free across the street in the Vons plaza and walk over.
