I love Alfred's! It was a first at this location , I had a conference near by and was excited to start my morning with their cloud espresso and bagel bites ! I came early , around 6:50 am and street meters parking is free until 8 am I believe . I did an online order because I know how busy it can get . I arrived and found my order to be ready which I was happy with. Cloud espresso 10/10, and bagel bites 10/10b! I would advise ,this location is small, in LA near Hollywood so please keep in mind parking during weekends or peak times .

I love going to Alfred's every now and then to enjoy a really nice latte that's somewhat basic but it satisfies the iced latte/einspanner craving. Every Alfred's Coffee location has the winter-like ski lot vibe with wooden seating areas and somewhat rustic and woodsy decor. Service is always friendly but it gets very crowded often, so go during non-peak hours or not when you're in a massive rush. While Alfred's isn't THE place for the best matcha in the city, you can't go wrong with their coffee! I love a decaf latte there but they also have amazing chagaccinos, iced vanilla lattes, and protein-rich drinks as well. What brings the review down a couple notches: - Price-wise: yes, a little more on the expensive side depending on what you consider high vs. low (though other places charge as much as $8 to start!) - Parking is also not the best--ideally, you'd find street parking - Not super ideal to work and study here as it's cramped and the outdoor patio is in a loud area

Oh boy, I was really looking forward to trying this spot!! I know it's a pretty popular chain and there's quite a few of them that I've seen. We finally decided to drop by before our day trip to Universal Studios. First of all, parking is a nightmare and we happened to choose to come on a very busy day? Everyone stack parked on the street with their "park anywhere lights" on lol. It was obnoxious and hard to get around in this tiny street. There was a line out the door for the pizza place a few doors down, assuming everyone who parked here were for whatever they were having. We looped around and found a spot at the very end and just walked, no big deal. There was a bit of a line in this tiny coffee shop, love the beautiful aesthetic and decor. Ordered the drinks which came out pretty quickly. I obviously had to try their "World Famouse Vanilla Latte" iced and my bf got their "Oatnog Latte" iced. We both tried ours and each others and were not crazy about them. Tasted kind of watered down? Not enough creamer or sweetness? The flavor in the oatnog itself was a bit odd and couldn't pinpoint what it was exactly. We didn't finish our drinks but I need my coffee every morning and this kind of did the job. However... Not worth the parking or hassle, sadly. IG: @ammysalamii

I love Alfreds! I am a regular customer coming almost every morning for the last four years. They know my drink, they turn around the drinks really quickly, and the staff are really friendly. It's my favorite way to start the morning! I've also been to many Alfreds locations, including the Ventura Boulevard, the Encino, the airport, the Palisades, the Melrose and the Beverly Hills locations--But this location is my favorite! Honestly, because of the staff. Thank you for being my go to coffee spot!

Came on a saturday night..look for street parking they have no parking lot Kept it simple and yet was disappointed ordered a small americano and their famous iced vanilla latte americano was watered down and no flavor of coffee for thr iced vanilla latte. The inside smelled of wet mop which was a red flag and the staff was not very friendly or attentive

Famous Alfred Vanilla Latte, so good.

Love Alfred Coffee and this particular location on Ventura Place at Studio City. Great customer service and hardly any wait time. You can order online for pick up. Parking is easy, as you can just park across the street. My favorite is the World Famous Vanilla Latte both hot and iced along with the O.G. Chagaccino hot and Mocha Latte hot. They are not too sweet and the perfect combination of espresso, coffee, vanilla, mocha and mushrooms. Looking forward to stopping by tomorrow morning to pick up our favorite coffee.

I ordered The world famous Vanilla iced latte. It was great. I really liked the taste, it was different than the similar drinks I order at other coffee shops. It became my to go order when visiting Alfred Coffee. For service, I was greeted as I walked in. There wasn't any line or people waiting for drinks. So I got my order faster than I expected. For ambiance, this is a little coffee shop with no seats inside. There is plenty of seating area outside which when I visited weather was nice. I got to enjoy the nice weather and my tasty coffee. For parking, this location is street parking only. I noticed in front of the store there weren't that many empty spots, but across the street were plenty. It's metered parking so make sure to have change or download the app to save time.

Nice little coffee spot. All seating is outside and it only street parking. The meters are quarters only or through an app. Wish I had quarters cause there are a lot of steps to pay through the app lol. You could see the staff working hard as soon as you enter. I ordered the world famous vanilla latte hot. Little bit of a line but the wait time wasn't bad. The drink was delicious! I tried it iced but its also really good hot. Right amount of sweetness with the coffee flavor still standing out. I like it! Thank you!

Had a lovely experience here yesterday grabbing some matcha! I ordered the iced matcha latte through the app and they made it very quickly with the customizations I added, which were lavender and pumpkin spice syrup and macadamia milk. When I came in, I wasn't sure where the drink was, but the employees were both very friendly and directed me to the shelf where it was. The matcha was delicious and the macadamia milk is so luscious and creamy. It worked perfectly! I also like how their iced drinks don't get too watered down! I really loved the flavors coming from the syrups and was surprised how well pumpkin spice and lavender really work together! It wasn't overly sweet too but just sweet enough to balance out the bitterness of the matcha. There was ample outdoor seating by the street and while it was covered, it was still very bright and sunny. It was relaxing to sit there and very clean and well maintained, just like the inside. Parking was easy in the neighborhood, with plenty of street parking a couple of blocks away.

Look at the almond milk chucks on the bottom of this iced americano.

Maybe it was an off day but my coffee was awful. I've never had any issues at the Pasadena location and when I saw this location while eating out decided to stop in for a midday pick me up. I ordered an iced americano with almond milk. A pretty simple drink. But it was awful. I could literally see the chunks of milk floating around. (Look at the photo I uploaded) Even the color was off ....it was severely watered down. I'm not one to say anything but I couldn't drink it. I went and asked if they could remake it and the girl gave me such attitude. She made me an iced latte instead and while it was fine. It wasn't my original order. Left with a sour taste in my mouth... literally and figuratively I think I'll stick to the other locations where the baristas know what they're doing.

Alfred is a cute little shop with only outdoor seating. They currently have a Frankenstein Netflix mural on the wall, which looks so cool! I ordered a medium iced matcha latte with whole milk ($7), and it was pretty good. Good matcha flavor and not sweet. Service was fast, which was nice. I'd definitely come back to try their other drinks, but probably at a different location since parking here is tricky with only metered street parking available.

Ask the Community - Alfred Coffee

    Does this location take cash?

    No they're cashless,

    Do they have outlets?

I doubt it - but maybe. There are only a couple patio tables to sit - it's not really a space conducive to getting work done.

Which of the plant based milks are unsweetened?

We use Califia brand barista Almond and Oat milk in all of our cafes. The Almond milk has 5g of added cane sugar. The oat milk however doesn't have any added sugars, just 3g that are created during the process of making the oat milk.

What time do they open because on Yelp it says 6am but the app won't let me order until 7am?

My husband and I came on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't busy at all, although almost all the pastries were already sold out, so I'm guessing the real rush is in the mornings. Overall, I personally wasn't a fan, mainly because the drinks and most of the food felt pretty underwhelming and lacked flavor. I ordered the strawberry matcha and it was honestly the most bland matcha I've had, which is surprising considering there was strawberry puree in it. It didn't taste low quality, just very muted and not something I'd order again, especially since I get matcha (and strawberry matcha) pretty often elsewhere. My husband got the pistachio latte and liked it, but mentioned it leaned a bit too sweet for his taste. For food, we tried the breakfast bagel and I genuinely can't believe how bland it was. It had all the components you'd expect, everything bagel, eggs, cheese, aioli, bacon, and more, but somehow it just fell flat. I kept wanting to add salt or some kind of sauce to bring it to life. I actually stopped eating it because it didn't feel worth it to keep going for something so flavorless. The one highlight was the spinach quiche. I really enjoyed it and would come back for that specifically, although it did feel a little pricey for what it was. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back, but if someone else wanted to go, I wouldn't object.

So Saturday brunch it was! We arrived earlier to avoid crowds at 10:45, and we had the place all to ourselves until 11:15. Reservations were made via Yelp, but we obviously didn't need them. I was a bit surprised, but small groups eventually trickled in slowly. ** THE CHOW ** My brunch date ordered a California omelet, made with brie, red bell, caramelized onions, and topped with half an avocado. The breakfast potatoes on the side were very yummy and the omelet was tasty too. Did I mention I'm a glutton for brunch? Well, I decided to eat one like one. And the Knife & Fork Chicken + Waffles was just right for my appetite. It satisfied the fried chicken cravings I had racked up over an entire week. I liked that the chicken was boneless, skinless, buttermilk-battered, and crispy. The fancy "red devil gravy" is basically a watery Tapatio for dunking or (if you're like me) for drowning your chicken in heat. Don't worry, they've got Cholula as well. Also, I love the effort in naming this menu item. However, I was a bit disappointed to find out that the jalapeño rosemary syrup on the online menu was only regular maple syrup IRL. Overall, the waffles are quite dense so it adds a good balance of hot 'n' sweet. ** THE SERVICE ** Servers at The Six were attentive. Food was delivered quickly. There were frequent check-ins with various staff members at each of the tables. The wait staff worked well together, covering each other's duties -- that was nice to see. ** THE VIBE ** There are lots of Instagram-worthy backdrops and charming little signs strewn around the restaurant. The decor and vibe give a nod to the "Society of Six" artists from the 1920s Prohibition era, who lived together in a cabin in Northern California that they dubbed the "Chow House", where they inspired each other in creating art. The reclaimed wood planks and cast iron skillets are used as plates on several menu items as a subtle accent and cozy, cabin vibe. I imagine twinkle lights add to the effect during the evening time. Next time I want to shovel brunch into my pie hole like a bottomless mimosa glass, I'll come back for the Apple Pie French Toast. That's with a side of bacon (not the bacon inside the French toast as the menu writeup may suggest). I hear that the cinnamon apple pie filling is amazing. I guess I'll have to come back for seconds and pair it with a bottomless Mimosa for $25 (avail Saturdays & Sundays, 10am - 3pm).
