We had a really nice experience at Great White in Studio City. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was beautiful, and everything around us was clean and well maintained. Overall, the service was good and the staff was friendly. There were just a couple of things that kept me from giving 5 stars. First, we had to ask three times for our drinks, including a glass of champagne. There were several servers, and it seemed like there was some confusion about who was bringing them, so we ended up waiting quite a while Also, the restaurant was quite loud. It was still tolerable, but it made it a little harder to have a conversation. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and would definitely come back. Definitely on the pricier side. Beautiful, clean, RICH looking modern restaurant (inside and outside) with great customer service all at once. Teamwork makes the dream work. Service by few of their employees such as Louis--floor manager, Lachlan-- general manager, and sweet Kristin who was checking on us pretty frequently. She needs a raise!! Walked in today at exactly 12:25pm & got a very nice, warm, pleasant greeting by Chase & Olivia. Both had a genuine smiles, which I loved. My friend walked in 5 minutes later. We sat in the main dining room, and the restaurant is divided into 3 or 4 separate rooms, along with the bar area and few stools around it. Nice looking decor/design all around. Music was a bit strange, and I am a musician myself. They had very eclectic yet scattered menu options here and there. It was a bit confusing to find what you were looking for. They have: bowls, salads, sandwiches, breakfast items, section for farm partners, pizza, burgers, pasta under their Mains menu. They also had tacos/burritos. Great selections overall. A bit disorganized and not prioritized by sections. At least some of them. At first I wanted an omelette, but Louis said that they didn't have it and suggested something similar to it which was a good choice. I like trying new, different things. So does my friend. We went with their Great White Breakie ($26.00), it's an omelette type of a dish that came with folded eggs (added special cream), avocado, arugula, goat cheese, roasted orange cherry tomatoes, 2 standard slices of bacon, and 2 slices of thick cut Sourdough bread that almost broke 2 of my teeth. Food was VERY SALTY! Especially the bacon, that I only took 3 bites of and left on my plate. (I hate wasting food). One thing that I liked a lot, when they are first trying to take your order, they want to know if you have any type of food restrictions/allergies. They don't do that in a lot of restaurants. So, that's a plus in my book. We also got their Chicken Pesto Sandwich ($24.00), that came with: Swiss cheese, tomatoes, lettuce and dry chicken on a Ciabatta bread. They forgot to bring the fries, and I forgot to ask for it. Again, prices are not that affordable for the portions of food that we got. I felt like I was dining somewhere on Rodeo Drive. The sandwich was good, but could have been better if the chicken wasn't dry. Food overall was not that hot. They also have different types of beverages from hot to cold and smoothies and juices. Let's not forget the 3 desserts that they had. Last but not least, I got an Iced single shot decaf Latte, mixed in with Vanilla syrup and cocoa powder. $7.00. It was good and refreshing. Will I return? Yes, but not anytime soon, until I cough up some moola. Please put some kind of a signage on that beautiful, white building. It has been open for almost 6 months, and no SIGNAGE! Hard to find the place. No parking, street and metered parking only. Today being Sunday, there was the Farmers Market that was trying to make more money off of people. My friend and I enjoyed our experience at Great White. We shared a smoked salmon pizza, which was delicious. The smoked salmon was so fresh, perfectly balanced along with the dill, red onion, capers, chive creme fraiche and toasted sesame that went with it. The crust was the best--crispy yet chewy at the same time....so yummy! I was let down by the brussel sprouts though. It came out way too burnt and a tad salty. Bummer But they redeemed themselves again with the sourdough bread pudding we had for dessert. Comprised of dates, white chocolate and brown butter caramel, the flavors were nicely infused into the sourdough, which definitely gave a hit of of acidity to help cut down the sweetness. And with the vanilla bean ice cream that was on top of it all...chef's kiss! I love the look and ambiance of the place, but the acoustics are terrible. I felt like I had to shout at my friend to be heard. Maybe somehow put something on the walls to help dampen the noise. Service was good, too. Everyone was friendly and helpful. It was a little different than usual pizza, very light undercarriage and a thin layer of cheese. Two people could've eaten one or shared it as an appetizer. I took half home. My companion had the salad with salmon. She was very happy with her choice which was recommended by our server. It was a little noisy, but what do you expect at lunchtime in a popular restaurant? The decor, menu and service is all basic L.A. ingredients to open a restaurant. None of it's bad, but it's all been done other places around town, and it's the same stuff, different restaurant name. It's located on a busy street in Studio City with too many other popular restaurants already, and parking is incredibly challenging. One thing I do appreciate at Great White is table service. Loads of L.A. restaurants are a fast, casual concept and you have to order at the counter, take a number to a-table-of-your-choosing, and wait for your food to be dropped off--in which you never see a staff member again. Service has gone out the window. Great White is going to be a go-to for the girls who brunch. Parents in from out-of-town to visit their adult children and/or grandchildren. Our first time visiting Great White was for Sunday brunch August 2026. They don't take reservations before 4pm, which made me nervous, but they sat us right away in the covered patio. The decor is really nice. The server said say it's like an upscale Australian beach restaurant but it seems more like an upscale resort or spa in style. The staff is friendly and the food was delish. I had the Tremendous Burger, and I would definitely have it again. My guests had the breakfast burrito, pancakes, and a lox plate or something too healthy for me. Breakfast burrito is pretty good (not great). Harvest bowl sounds much better than it tastes as the yuzu ginger dressing and miso tahini flavors clash. Their matcha latte is very nice. Even though the food has been hit or miss, I really enjoy dining here and am willing to try more of the menu to find what I like best. A huge splash in Studio City on the same street where they hold the weekly Farmer's Market every Sunday. The interior reminded me of a stone cafe you might find in Italy or Greece. I've been to this Great White location a few times now -- twice for brunch on Sundays and once for dinner last week. Getting a table has generally been easy. Early after they opened they once didn't have a regular table ready, but they do have counter seating by the pizza station. Worth asking about if you're hungry. A few things stand out. The banana bread is excellent -- consistently hot and better than most. The smoked salmon pizza is another strong brunch item: unique, good value, and easy to share. At dinner, the wood-fired roast chicken was the clear highlight. It's well-seasoned, the skin is properly crisp, the inside is cooked right, and they already cut it up for you. It feels more like a dinner dish, and it's good enough that I'd specifically come back for it. Most of the rest of the menu is solid and reliable. The one miss for me was the fish tacos (also ordered at dinner). The fish looked well-cooked, but there wasn't much flavor, and the spicy salsa barely registered. Drinks are a mixed bag. Non-alcoholic options like coffee or an Arnold Palmer feel overpriced for the size. Alcoholic drinks, on the other hand, are priced where you'd expect them to be for a place like this. The space is one of the better parts of the experience -- open, bright, and somehow manages to feel a little like vacation even on Ventura Place. Service has been consistently good. Special nod to Steven, who helped my girlfriend swap a wine she didn't like for something better. Overall it's a clear four-star spot. This place is overrated to me. I went because it's the buzz of the town. All my industry friends keep mentioning it. But, it was crowded, hot, and had average and very overpriced food. Semi open concept which was filled to the brim with people and no AC. Not great on a hot day. We opted to sit at the bar to not wait for a seat and we sat right in front of their I'll placed pizza oven, which literally burned our faces. Thankfully they moved us to another area of the bar in a corner. But yeah. Avoid that back bar in the summer! Service 3/5 It's a lot of aspiring influencers... I mean waiters hustling to serve fast. They were nice but had no time to be personable. We originally got the wrong order sent to us. But quickly fixed it. Food came out in about 10-15 min. Food 2/5 Here's where I take real issue. This place would be a fine brunch/lunch spot if the food was either top notch for the price... or much cheaper. I walked away paying 90 bucks for my partner to have a super mid breakfast sandwich (no sides). I had fish tacos that were more like a a lettuce wrap. They tasted ok. But it was maybe 2oz of actual fish and some lettuce, dill, and cilantro. A hot sauce they claimed was really hot that wasn't hot at all. We had a tuna tartar app that was tasty but really small. And two ice teas (8 bucks each!) I know things are expensive these days but I continually think to myself - if I'm going to pay this price, which I am fortunate to have the means to do - then I want something exceptional. It doesn't have to be big in quantity. Just something unique that doesn't feel like a rip off. Something can't make at home for 1/8 the price (that will actually taste better and be healthier) So yeah, this place is a no for me dog. Great White just opened in Studio City, and we stopped by for lunch on a sunny Friday. We've been to the Larchmont location and loved it and this one feels very similar. The space has a few layout differences, but overall it's the same experience, except this one is in the Valley. One notable difference is no outdoor seating. The menu is basically identical and the food comes out fast. And it's consistent, too. I ordered my usual breakfast burrito to compare and it put the usual smile on my face. The chipotle aioli that comes with it is still the star. My wife got the poke bowl, which she enjoyed eating and I enjoyed looking at. The biggest difference is the crowd. Larchmont leans heavy on tourists and Instagram types, while Studio City feels more local with families and industry folks. It's definitely on the pricier, bougie side. But you still walk away feeling like you had a solid, cool lunch. We even spotted an actress from "Scandal" as a bonus. Also worth mentioning, they allow dogs inside. As usual with my reviews, I like to start with the most practical detail -- parking. Parking in this area can be a bit challenging. We visited on a Sunday afternoon in March 2026 and had to park a little farther away than expected. Add to that the one-hour wait, and naturally our expectations climbed sky-high before even walking through the door. The restaurant itself was very clean, and the service was surprisingly quick considering how busy it was. Tables and floors were well maintained. The only small detail I noticed was a few bread crumbs or tiny food particles on the couch/chairs. Nothing major, but worth mentioning. We didn't visit the restrooms, but judging by the overall condition of the restaurant, I wouldn't expect anything less than sparkling clean. Now to the best part -- the food. Everything arrived beautifully presented, almost too pretty to disturb. For drinks, we kept it simple: a basic alcoholic cocktail and a cappuccino. The coffee was excellent -- rich, smooth, and served in a generous cup. For our main courses we ordered the Salmon Yellow Curry and the Bolognese. Both dishes were wonderful, but if I had to choose, the salmon would win my vote. It carried just the right amount of spice and depth of flavor that made every bite interesting. Dessert was a small adventure of its own. We tried the Pavlova and the chocolate mousse. The Pavlova leaned a little too sweet for our taste, but the mousse was fantastic -- silky, balanced, and sprinkled with tiny crunchy pieces (which I assume were hazelnuts) that added a lovely texture. As for the price, it felt fair for the location, quality, and overall experience. Our total came to $120 plus tip (March 2026). Will I go back? Absolutely. The fish special is spectacular and my favorite breakfast items are the great white brekkie, the burrito, smoked salmon, the pancakes and banana bread. If in a healthy mood, the chickpea dish is quite nice. The side of mushrooms are maitake and great quality. Salads are great but way overpriced. All the pizzas are fantastic. When getting the salmon bowl, I always ask for the sauce on the side - just too much for me and it ends up being a sauce over a chicken pasta at home as a 'homemade' meal the day after : ) read more

Just tried the new Great White in Studio City and it's honestly such a great addition to the area. The space itself is beautiful, super bright, clean, and aesthetically done. It has that classic Great White vibe that makes you want to stay for a while. The food was amazing. I got the breakfast sandwich and really liked it, everything tasted fresh and the flavors were perfect. My friend ordered the breakfast burrito and loved it. The drinks were also really good. The strawberry matcha was one of the best I've had, and their dirty chai latte was super flavorful without being too sweet. Service was great and everyone was really friendly. I'm including a photo of our check to show I tipped well (quite well, as I almost always do) - because our server, Stephen, did a good job and didn't deserve to be stiffed. However, had I judged on our overall experience, the tip would have been less than 5%. The food is mediocre. It's not bad but it's far, FAR from great. The poke bowl was okay, but for less than half the price you could get a far better bowl at any one of several poke. places within walking distance. The sweet potato fries were quite good. The "tremendous burger" was decent (not tremendous). The Chianti was awful - you literally could find better wine in a box at CVS. And the beer......the beer. The beer is neither good nor bad, it's a bland lager, and that's what I ordered, and what I expected. It's served in a can, along with a glass and you pour it yourself. Not a lot of work involved. The problem was the second beer I ordered, which I asked for when our dinner was served. I'd finished the first and wanted one with dinner. The server who brought our dinner (not Stephen) said "right away." Five minutes go by. Ten minutes. My burger is sitting there, waiting for the beer. Twelve minutes. Finally, I call over a server, who comes to our table. Very politely I say, "I ordered another beer and have been waiting a while, would you be able to get it for us." She goes to the bar, and after having a conversation, comes back to to our table - no can of beer in hand - and tells me, "they're working very hard at the bar. It's going to be a few more minutes." That is literally what she said to a paying customer. They're too busy to hand me a can of beer that I can bring to you. Another five minutes go by. Seven minutes. I call over another server. I tell her exactly what happened, and say "do you think I can get a beer?" She says yes, goes to the bar, comes back, and in a triumphant tone, as if she had just flown in a heart for a dying transplant patient, says "got your beer!" I don't know. Maybe it's generational. There definitely is a disturbing trend in Studio City (maybe....everywhere?) in which kids who don't care, or hate their jobs, their lives or some combination thereof direct their dissatisfaction at the customers who pay their salaries. I mean letting a customer's food sit there for 12 minutes while they wait for a can of beer seems outlandish, but even worse is, instead of an apology, or a "so sorry, sir - the beer's on us" or whatever, you get reprimanded with "the bar's busy, you'll have to wait," as if you're at the Department of Motor Vehicles. We live around the corner from Great White, and have avoided the place since it opened because it seems like a trendy, overpriced of-the-minute hotspot for a clientele that doesn't know any better. But today, we had a long day on the road (had to drive nearly 300 miles) and we just wanted a decent meal somewhere very close so we could come back home and crash. One thing is for certain - we'll never, ever dine at Great White again, and will make sure our neighbors know why. read more

The Great White just opened up in Studio City and the idea of an all day cafe not named Crave caught my attention so here we go. ========= LOCATION ========= On the trendy part of Studio City, along Ventura Blvd, just east of Laurel Tavern, Firefly, etc, between Colfax and Tujunga. The outside looks kinda basic but the inside is really elegant. Gigantic windows like you'd see at a cafe along the ocean. Loved the tan and white color scheme. The semi-wicker seats were nice too. Very stylish, perfect for IG. The camera definitely eats first here. =========== SHARK WEEK =========== ~ SMOKEN SALMON PIZZA - $30 but delicious. It had capers, crème fraiche, chives, onions, dill and my fave toasted sesame. (5/5) They opened yesterday. Wow on only their third day open Great White Studio City was operating like a well oiled machine! It was packed but our food came out quickly. Most importantly- it was delicious. I've been to the Larchmont location a couple of times so I was excited when the Studio City location opened. I took my coworker here for lunch last week since she had never been. I ordered the chicken kebab and she ordered the poke. All of the chicken kebab pieces on the skewer were pink in the middle. I sent it back and ordered the fish tacos instead which were great. No one came back, a manager didn't appear or acknowledged the fact that the chicken was pink inside. I found this very odd. I filled out their online survey that I got following my lunch there but no one ever got back to me so here's my review. read more

I really enjoyed everything about this place. The decor, service, food, and coffee. Our waitress was very patient and helpful and gave us great recommendations. We got the pesto chicken sandwich and it was absolutely delicious. Their pesto is clearly made by someone who knows what theyre doing. We got a few more thinks but that stood out the most. I'll need to go back to try their breakfast options which they have until 3pm. Can't wait to go back. read more

We walked in at 4PM with reservations and the place was almost completely empty. We asked to switch tables with the host because the sun was glaring on ours and there were clearly other tables available. After being told that "sorry every table is accounted for", we were moved with no shortage of sarcastic remarks and unwarranted attitude. An hour into our meal, our waitress asked if we needed any boxes to go when we were clearly in the middle of our dinner. Strange. We had a few plates left and the bus boys started visiting our table like clock work asking to clear our plates. They gave us ZERO space to enjoy the atmosphere and the meal. The food was just okay. The food itself is excellent - I went on the second day they were open (yesterday), so it was a little chaotic, but that's understandable for opening week. The inside has a very Tulum-style vibe, the staff is genuinely sweet, and the food was really good. I had the fish tacos--absolutely divine. The pavlova (which I learned is Australian) was also divine. Now, the parking/valet situation was bonkers. The valet sideswiped another customer's car and wasn't even going to say anything--even though my vehicle was involved. I know that's not the restaurant's fault, but it completely ruined my meal. I'll definitely be back, but next time I'm walking. If it's day two and cars are already getting hit on a huge street... what happens when it's actually busy? read more
