Triple Vegan Smash Burger... I'm not crying over an amazing burger... You are!! Can I just say I'm grateful for Smashed in every way for going the extra mile to bring thoughtful plant-based options to their menu and customers that include the exact options as their traditional style smash burgers and whether your vegetarian/vegan or an omnivore you should definitely explore their single, double, triple and great style.s Don't forget the fries, fountain drinks and all the great things at Smashed Burbank. The prices are beyond reasonable and probably the best deals you'll find anywhere on smashed burgers or burgers in general. Under $10 for single vegan or non. Typically get food to go here or deliver because I'm usually heading home or to the AMC, but definitely recommend enjoying a sit down on their patio or inside. The inside is cozy and colorful, but limited seating. Good lighting, colorful decor and great service every time I've been. You can find Smashed on San Fernando Blvd in Downtown Burger between Olive (Ave) and Orange Grove (Ave). Local street parking, garage parking or easy access to various Burbank and LA Metro bus connections. Easy walk up for locals and people exploring the area. Free Wi-Fi. Clean restrooms. Family and kid friendly. Pups and dogs allowed. Open everyday at 11am until 11pm or until Midnight Thursday through Saturday. Let's get some SMASHED.

This place is sooo good! I was in the mood for some burgers and this definitely left me feeling satisfied. I ordered the Combo with a single smash burger, fries, and drink and upgraded the fries to smashed fries. Honestly, I feel like the single patty didn't have much meat so I added meat from the fries onto the burger which made it taste so much better. If you're in the mood for some burgers, I would definitely recommended either getting the double patty or getting the smashed fries because it comes with a lot of meat.

The smash fries and burgers were delicious even the vegan smash was delicious. Clean establishment.

The food is delicious classic smash burger with quality ingredients and flavorful sauce! The service was kind and professional and the ambiance was a perfect little corner burger shop for late night refuel! Definitely will come back when in Burbank

One bite of my smash burger and side of pickles (pickles are more salty than sweet or vinegary)

Most smash burgers consist of a smashed hamburger patty with cheese grilled onions, pickles and secret sauce. Most smash burgers DO NOT have lettuce... just wanted to throw that out. When you walk in there is a self-ordering screen, but I had employee asked if I needed help. I thought that was nice because sometimes some people don't like to order at the self ordering screen, but we didn't know what we wanted to order so we opted to do the self ordering screen. We ordered a smashburger and The Old fashioned Burger with onion rings, cheese fries, Cajun fries and a side of pickles. The side of pickles tasted like salted pickle. The pickle was neither sweet nor vinegary. I will probably not order a side of pickles. I will say I do like the cheese fries because the cheese on top of the fries were nacho cheese style. And I appreciate that they put a lot of seasoning on the cajun fries because some people have lazy taste buds like me. The onion rings are beer battered, and I do like how I had a fat king onion ring. Between the old fashioned and the smashburger, I recommend getting the smashburger because it had a better flavor from the burger being smashed with that crisp edges and the grilled onions adding that flavor. You can tell they use Quality meat and they do advertise where they get their meat from. The 80s atmosphere from the graffiti and the old school stuff from the Game Boy to the tapes make this feel like a good hangout spot after school, date night, etc. Definitely worth trying.

Chill little spot on San Fernando Rd in Burbank. Good music and comfortable. Service was super friendly. Just grabbed a double smash burger and it was very good. They use way too much salt and I'd ask for none if I return.

The burger is way smaller and real cheese burgers. I don't know why! It's was literally 2,3 bites no lettuce, see through meet ting patty and also small The fries were just ok . Not welcoming at all Just eat and leave no one cares!

A whole lot of grub.

As someone who eats too many burgers, It's time to review another burger shop! A few weeks back my wife and I were in Downtown Burbank to get some burgers from Smashed Burbank! This burger shop is located in a cool area surrounded by shops and restaurants and even if it's got some competition, this place was a great place to get some lunch. The menu at Smashed Burbank consists mainly of burgers, because.....you know, it's a burger shop. I ordered the double smashed cheeseburger with bacon with french fries on the side. The smashed burger itself was very good! The meat was cooked well, the cheese was melty and gooey, the bacon was the tag team partner it needed, and the buns hugged it all together to make a dang quality burger. The french fries on the side were really good and they definitely give you way more then I would of expected. Overall, Smashed Burbank is a great burger spot in downtown Burbank and definitely a place you won't be let down by. This place offers a good amount of seating, a good staff, and some quality food to fill you up. Great place, try it for yourself!

Step into the 80s and enjoy the art and throwback memorabilia. We got a double smashed burger and fries. Was really good. Service was fast and polite. Definitely will be back when in town.

SMASHED FRIES - pretty tasty

Had the smashed fries. They were pretty good! I wish the meat was salted a little more to really enjoy that hamburger flavor but that's okay. I loved the cheese bites. The fries were good and fresh.

Adonis M.

These burgers were delicious! I ordered a double smash with raw onions and jalapeños which was light, but juicy. Beware, the jalapeño was very hot and I have a high tolerance. The fries were also crispy and good. The service was fairly quick and they have a walk-up machine which makes it easy to order. The restaurant itself has a nice aesthetic and a chill vibe.

Absolutely in love with this place. One of the best smash cheeseburgers that I've ever had. Order them plain with just the cheese and sauce.

Nicholas P.

Fast service for great food. Got the double smash burger with fries, shake, and a drink.

Ask the Community - Smashed Burbank

Are the vegan burgers completely vegan? I noticed it says the cheese is. Are the buns and burger sauce vegan too?

Not sure about the buns and sauce but the patty and the cheese are vegan

Do all the burgers have bacon? Or do they have one that's only beef?

No they all do not have bacon. They also have a vegan burger that is very good.

Is everything vegan? Or it's just some items on the menu? :)

It's a regular burger restaurant that offers a vegan option.

... whats on the menu??.. don't see one posted yet

There should be photos posted. Also their Instagram page @smashed.la has it as well.

I opted for the Mac and cheese with smoked steak although everything sounded and looked amazing. The Mac and cheese was not what I expected and was even creamier and decadent than some I've had in the past. It had this perfect sharpness but also a subtle sweetness. The smoked steak was also very unique in taste and texture. It didn't really feel like faux meat to me but still was perfectly marinated with chewy texture that was very enjoyable to eat. I definitely would love to try more of their menu items and the tacos were calling out to me!

Was pretty packed!…read more We wanted to try a vegan place and this was top of mind! We pass by this place a lot and finally stoped by to try. There is a small lot but you can park on the street (watch meters) and in the neighborhood (read the signs). Menu is via QR code but you can ask for a paper menu. The prices on the paper menu are incorrect and some items are no longer available. Food was tasty though as someone who doesn't prefer mushrooms I did have to really read the ingredients. We saw lots of other parties order the crispy tofu and it looked really good! But we ended up trying the house yaki udon, kaboucha ramen, and dragon roll. The yaki udon tasted good but it really is just stir fried noodles with veggies so it made sense it was lower priced than other entrees. The kaboucha ramen was flavorful and a little spicy (you can pick spice levels). The broth was creamy. We finished with the crispy dragon roll. The crispy shrimp didn't come out that well versus the rice but still a good choice.

Is it very expensive? For ramen yes. Is it worth checking…read moreout? Definitely. IT'S A FUN PLACE TO TAKE VEGAN FRIENDS and support a small vegan restaurant. PARKING Ample parking in the street and in the parking lot alongside the shop. INSIDE There are some simple, wobbly tables that are fine for simple diner/ramen shop experience. Not fancy. Not uncomfortable. The space is very small, so seating is close together. There is counter space, but only pickup drivers were waiting there. SERVICE Very friendly. If the server didn't know about an ingredient or preparation, they would ask the chef and return immediately. Tonight there were 4 tables and a large part of 6. One server managed them all well. FOOD RAMEN The prices have changed since the menus printing. Be sure to check the menu app. The prices aren't much higher for some things. The broths were labeled differently on the menu, but tasted EXACTLY the same. Not bad, but if you are testing for variety with friends - ask if the soup portion is different. Mushrooms and squash was good. Bok choy was average, a little under cooked, but well prepared. I'd get a different style, but would order here again. GLUTEN / WHEAT INTOLERANT If your party is wheat intolerant, they have mungbean noodles instead. Unfortunately they don't have any GF ramen options. We didn't ask about whether they are prepared in the same noodle water as wheat versions. The GF Noodle is an additional charge ($3/bowl) SUSHI My omnivore friends LOVED the sushi. Vegan sushi is a fun experience. Sure it's pricey, but it's the experience that makes it worth it. Tonight's sushi was well prepped before we started poking at it. Probably wouldn't order this on my own. BATHROOM My wife warned against going in at all. Usually, that would cost another star on the review. Use caution. OVERALL $30/pp without drinks. This is NOT the destination vegan ramen ya that I had hoped it would be. It's fun and quirky. More like a diner. Overpriced, despite some pretty good flavors. Extremely nice staff today is the reason I'll go back alone. Otherwise IT'S A FUN PLACE TO TAKE VEGAN FRIENDS and support a small vegan restaurant. And I will probably go back again solo when it gets cold outside - to give a separate broth a try.

I could easily get lost here for hours in just the decor and menu alone. All it needed was horseshoes, s'mores, and ghost stories to complete the ambiance. Instead, it's got all that and more. Great coffee, easy service, and seriously delicious breakfast. First, I love how they branded every inch of this space with the Basecamp theme, including the menu. The front signage is brilliant and you can spot it from the street while driving by. The outdoor patio is made to feel like you're chillin' next to a parked RV. And it's lush. The picnic tables and outdoor greenery feels like you've escaped the concrete jungle, and you're somewhere out by a lake with lots of tall trees and maybe even a bear. Or rather, as hungry as one--which I was. As I walked up to the front of the line inside, I didn't mind the 10-minute wait since there were so many good choices on the menu. Chilequiles looked good. The portion looked like it could satisfy a lumberjack crawling out of hibernation. House-made Pasties? Yes, please. Bring on the fresh fruit cronut. Yes, it tasted as good as it looked. Flaky, buttery, and topped with a crystal sugary glaze, it beared fresh bananas, blueberries, and strawberries like a badge of honor. Huevos Rancheros - It was a fiesta of spices mingling with over easy eggs on top of warm corn tortillas, and topped with a ranchero sauce with just the right amount of heat. I like that they aren't shy about avocado rations and that the hash browns are perfectly crisp and buttery. I'd say the whole plate comes together like a campfire song everyone already knows the words to. Kumba-YUM!!!!!! Verdict: Hangry campers walk out feeling fueled up and happy to start their day. I did. Next time I come back, I'll turn off my cell and go off the grid and get lost in more of their house-made pastries*. *Scones, Biscuits & Jam, Coffee Cake, Fruit Danish, Morning Bun, Turnovers, Chocolate & Almond Croissants, Banana Bread

They have some parking available in the back (accessible via the alley), but if there aren't spots available, I recommend street parking on Bennett Drive (nice neighborhood) and either walking down the alley for the back entrance or walking along Cahuenga to go through the front. The restaurant overlooks Cahuenga, the 101, and the backside of the Universal Studios mountains - just ideal for a quick stop and casual bite. With its proximity to Universal, we opt to eat here and highly recommend that other park-goers eat here instead, as it's on par with the price of amusement park food yet way better quality. We've been going here for almost a decade, and everyone we take here loves it. The dishes are large enough to order as family style or enjoy solo. Unfortunately, innovation is still lacking in the vegan fried chicken department. The pros: - The breading was impressive: it had a really satisfying crunch and there was actually enough of it and a good breading to "chicken" ratio. Nobody likes a sad naked nugget when you were promised a juicy breaded tender. - The fries were very solid, and the chick sauce was addictive and kind of indescribable in flavor. The cons: - The biggest problem that plagues all vegan fried chicken: the base that they use for the "chicken" is bland and tasteless, with a borderline unpleasant texture. It's all about the breading anyways, so why can't we just put that breading over a mushroom or a cauliflower?! I hate the weird artificial spongy texture they come up with instead. - Like everything I've ever gotten from Doomie's, the food feels too salty and too heavy before I'm even halfway through my meal. The neutral: - I wasn't sure how I felt about my Nashville hot seasoning, but since I don't have much to compare it to, maybe that's just the style? I did like how some of the flavor got soaked up by the piece of bread though. The search for the perfect vegan fried chicken continues! My favorite vegan fried chicken to date is from a brand called Atlas Monroe that they used to have at Uncool Burgers (RIP). I also enjoyed the fake McChicken at Mr. Charlie's, but a McChicken isn't a fried chicken sandwich, y'know?
