Grilled Fresh Atlantic Salmon

The restaurant is so comfortable, friendly family atmosphere and just homey. The server is supported by a great team of other servers. Great service. Well, the food is great and tasty. The combo was with half chicken and two beef ribs with asparagus and corn on the side. Will be back here again.

Down during the week and got seated right away. The food was delicious and tasty. The rolls are delicious. The restaurant soon filled up and was a little noisy. We received the bill and the server came back with that lovely tablet. She processes my card and hard coded 20% to the bill. The server held that tablet tight and it was hard to enter any information. She mentioned that she can't leave it on the table. I u sweat and not leaving it on the table but I felt like a kid that I couldn't even touch it just press the buttons. I was a little awkward. But love the food.

I went here on December 21, 2022 on my dad's b-day .I ordered the beef ribs if I remember correctly. They looked kinda burnt. Tasted a little burnt too but that's because they're pecan wood-smoked. It came with two signature sides. The sides were original peanut coleslaw and Idaho baked potato. The peanut coleslaw was unlike other coleslaw I've had, the peanut made it crunchy. The Idaho baked potato was soft and the butter made it even better. Service was fine, pretty average. Lighting was great because of the warm yellow fixtures. It was warm inside.

Always good go to for a pretty decent steak dinner with friends and or family. Their barbecue dishes are pretty good. They're always consistent in food quality and service. Great beverages and they're pretty consistent in this area as well.

I always come to this place with my family it's kinda the perfect spot for when you want some bbq food. I always get the same order which is the chicken breast which is always perfectly cooked and delicious with the Mac n cheese so good and the coleslaw with no peanut it's not even like a coleslaw which makes it so good it's like but shredded up greens with an amazing dressing it's like a salad I love it and the service is always great everyone who serves me goes above and beyond and is really nice keep doing you wood ranch

I've been coming to Woodranch for well over 10 years and it's continued to be one of my favorite chain restaurants. You can't go wrong with anything you choose but my go to order is the fire roasted half chicken with the French fries and mac&cheese. The fries are perfectly crispy, the Mac has just the right amount of cheese and the chicken is always so juicy. The bbq chopped salad is also great if you're looking for something lighter. The dining room is big and an adjacent bar which is pretty sizable and a great outdoor patio so you have a ton of options for seating. The service is excellent and the staff are friendly and on top of things. I'd recommend this for anything with family or casual outings. Don't forget to ask for the garlic rolls!

After the Dodger game we came to Wood Ranch and not only was the service great but the food was excellent! Quick and friendly service!

Ribeye steak medium

Well this really makes me sad to review this low on a place I had been wanting to try for a while now. I had been craving a ribeye steak this week and we finally went and I chose Wood Ranch. We went to an early dinner after a movie around 4:30ish so the wait was not bad at all. The restaurant was nice and quiet which I liked. We had already seen the menu so we knew what we wanted to order. We decided to share the ribeye with loaded mashed potatoes and a beef rib with a side of mac and cheese. We first started with the artichoke and spinach dip and that was really tasty. Not too long after we finished the appetizer we got our plates. The steak looked really delicious. We ordered it medium. Which was cooked perfectly. The steak was very delicious but could have used a bit more salt and pepper for my taste and didn't seem to be as juicy of a steak as I'm used too. The mashed potatoes were a little too dry for me, not enough butter or cream. They were supposed to be loaded and all it had was cheese and bacon. The beef rib was delicious but I forgot to order with no barbecue sauce and I felt like it had way too much much sauce also for my liking. But it was cooked perfectly and the meat would just fall off the bone. I'm glad I came in to try but it wasn't what I expected.

Stopped by for a takeout order and wanted to give a shout out to 2 employees who made the 15 min wait so pleasant. Luke, who took my phone order, was courteous and accommodating. I had a custom order and without missing a beat, he made sure everything was delivered. Paul, who took my drink order at the bar while waiting for my takeout, was also kind and pleasant. There was a miscommunication when ordering my drink. Paul immediately corrected and served my drink order, all with a smile the entire time. Incredible service from both gentlemen. I mean, the food is already great, but the service just takes the dining or take out experience to another level.

I always enjoy their garlic rolls! Service is always friendly and food is always hot. We were sat in the bar area, but it wasn't loud or rowdy. They had the games on the TV and not many people were shouting like they would in a sports bar, so I really enjoyed that aspect. Their tri-tip was a little too cooked, but it was flavorful. The chicken sandwich was spicy from what my friend told me, delicious, but had a big punch afterwards. I will frequent again!

GOOD FOOD AND SERVICE ====================== I am not sure why I always forget about Wood Ranch, but they have pretty good food. My husband and I popped on May 10th, the day before Mother's Day, to beat the Mother's Day rush. It seemed like everyone else had the same idea, but luckily we were the first ones there when they opened at 11:30 a.m.. I thought I was going to order a salad, but I broke down and ordered five baby back ribs with corn on the cobb. It was great. My husband loved his bbq tri tip sandwich and au jus.

Great food (especially for sharing) and spacious indoor and outdoor dining space. Definitely a popular spot for all ages. I came for dinner on a Saturday night around 7pm in a group of 4; we were told to wait 45 minutes to an hour so we went to walk around the area. Then we got a text after 30 minutes that our table was already ready. They use an internal waitlist system (not Yelp or other waitlist services) so you can't really see how many parties are ahead of you. Needless to say, they do a fast job seating, so don't let the wait time discourage you. We were thrilled by the refillable (?) garlic bread buns (?)! They were very tasty and garlicky. We ordered salads to share and a combo meat plate (comes with two meats and two sides). The ribs were delicious, with a great BBQ sauce - would recommend it. We also had brisket which was also very tasty. They gave us only a few ounces of the brisket for the combo plate, so if you want a larger portion of meat then the full servings would probably be best. Finally, drinks were delish!! We had a spicy marg and peach sour cocktail. VERY concentrated and tart flavors, which is how I like it. Great service too.

I've been hesitant because it is in a trickier area, but I had no issues pulling in or parking! They have a few spots in the front, but otherwise I'm sure there is parking around the neighborhood. You walk inside to order and it is not a fancy looking place, but the people cooking the meat definitely know what they're doing!! It felt like an authentic Texas bbq spot. I didn't want the frills, I just wanted good food and that's what I got. I sat at a little table outside which was perfectly pleasant! The road wasn't too loud or anything. But really, the sandwich was SO good. I doused it in the spicy bbq and added the pickles and coleslaw and I ate the WHOLE thing. I shouldn't have. But it was great!! I want to come back and try their other bbq meats and sides!! I loved the pulled pork sandwich and would recommend sharing it if you do order it. Yum!! The service was great, too!!

We hadn't visited since February, 2020. Before the pandemic might as well have been 10 years ago, if the world shut down 6 years ago. We were overdue for a followup visit. Judging by how the food went down, we were sore for it. We ordered the Big Tex: four meats and four sides - tri-tip, brisket, pulled pork and links; kale greens, bbq beans, mac and cheese and fries. We opted for the cornbread in the roll slot. It should be the top meats in your order, by premium scale and availability, but more often than they should be, the brisket/tri-tip selections are, 90%, obligatory orders. I think I have a love/hate relationship with the way LA treats the pepperoni pizza of bbq meats. Swinging Door broke us off proper though. Not too fatty. Great tenderism. And the accompanying sauce complemented the smoked all stars, rather than compensated for lack of flavor. Didn't stop me from loving their Whiskey bbq sauce though. The beans were a true bbq side, swimming in a mild sauce and containing lovely chunks of link. And the kale greens - sheesh - I think they might've switched to kale since our first visit. An effective exercise in alternative ruffage that holds seasoning and jucies for a similar bbq/soulfoud bite. We live further away now. Took the food to go, to prevent the intermittent rain from foiling more of our plans. It traveled well. And since I'm using our leftover bbq sauce on every other meal I cook, I'd say we successfully made do with our lunch substitute.

Imagine rows of radicchio, rainbow chard, exquisite endive, squash blossoms, sunchokes and artichokes, fennel with their fronds tangled in long red chilies surrounded by pungent herbs like perilla, lovage, tarragon. An extra star just for that. But... My only gripe is their weekly Saturday BBQ. Through the years I have enjoyed both kinds of ribs, the brisket, sausages, turkey and chicken that they cook and smoke right outside in the parking lot. Even if you don't see it, you'll smell it within a couple blocks. I can't think of a better way to promote a bbq business and Handy Market knows it. They're counting on all the new customers who get lured in by the intoxicating scent of grilled meats on live fire to try this sad, sorry excuse that they call BBQ. All the meats are dry, tasteless and overcooked. They do not season any of the meat, not even a lick of salt. They want you to buy their sugary bbq sauce and baste them on the grill. Meaning you still have to finish cooking it at home but it was tasty enough and the price was low so it was worth doing for many years. Lately though, it's been expensive and inedible. The quality of all the meat has become sus and I was sold the driest beef ribs with texture like leather, that they probably dug up from the back of a freezer and a smelly turkey leg that's left over from like, Thanksgiving. My homemade bbq sauce could not save either meat and suffice to say I will never order barbecue from here again. What's happened to you, Handy Mart? I just can't believe you've slipped so far. This is the worst bbq in all of LA and I cannot recommend anyone eating here. Those brave souls who do not heed this cautionary tale cannot say you haven't been warned. Good luck.
