We came here as a large party to celebrate a birthday. We could not have had worse service. Our server was incredibly rude, dismissive, and acted like he hated his life. He never asked if anyone wanted additional drinks, never checked in with us on our meals, and ignored our birthday guest, failing to bring a small dessert and candle despite it being a standard to do so. We will NOT return here. So incredibly disappointing. Mind you there was an automatic 18% gratuity charge as well. Shame on this server and this restaurant for hiring such rude and uncaring servers. read more

Had a great experience at Wood Ranch! The food was delicious, and our waiter Josh was fantastic. He was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Great service really made the experience even better. I'll definitely be coming back! Highly recommend asking for Josh if you visit. Jenny the manager also came by to check on us making sure our food was great. Greatly appreciated her hospitality. read more

I used to really enjoy Wood Ranch and had previously rated it highly. The food was consistent, the BBQ was flavorful, and overall it felt like a reliable go-to. Unfortunately, my recent large delivery order told a different story and not a good one. The tri tip was the biggest disappointment: extremely fatty, difficult to chew, and lacked the tenderness and balance you'd expect from a place that prides itself on BBQ. The caesar salad was no better with old brown wilted lettuce that made it feel like it had been sitting too long. What made this especially frustrating is that I know Wood Ranch can do better. Like many others, I've had great meals here in the past. But based on this recent order, the quality has slipped. I hope this was a one-off, but it's hard to ignore how far off the mark it was this time. For the price, the food should feel like it was made with attention not rushed or thrown together. read more

I've been here several times. I usually get ribs. I was especially impressed with the tender brisket on our last visit. I love the garlic rolls. I'm writing today because we ordered food for a World Cup viewing party and I was especially impressed with their takeout setup. The hostess was friendly and helpful and efficient. They went through every item in our order as they packed it up. Best of all, the food was delicious at home. read more

One thing I love is sitting in a booth with an iced tea and this place is perfect for that. I went on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed but we got seated relatively quickly. Service was great and they have a very large food and drink menu. I had the baby back ribs, you can get a 5 count portion which was perfect for me, with Mac and cheese and a baked potato. Next time I go, I will probably just get the sides because they were so good and I'm not a huge meat person. Just a perfect spot to relax and get good food. read more

The Classic Burger and Grilled Salmon were both delicious. The Certified Angus Beef (CAB) Ground Chuck patty had little to no seasoning, so you could really taste the meat. Kendra did an excellent job with the order and made the experience very enjoyable! read more

Ordered James Crispy Chicken Sandwich. They ignored modifications. The "sandwich" was 3 flat, dry, pieces of chicken tenders shoved in a bun. Absolutely false advertising. read more

Just placed an order through Door Dash. There were few things I needed that weren't in the app. Sugar for the tea, butter, etc. So I called and was so happy someone actually answered. Most places don't. I spoke to Jasmine and she was so sweet. Told me she'd take care of it for me. Once I sent the order, I called again and spoke with Ally. She was also very sweet. Said it was all sitting out waiting for the order to come in. So, I'd like to thank them for their kindness and understanding. Can't wait for the food to get here. These 2 young ladies definitely made the experience wonderful and are a great representation for your company. read more

I was super excited to come to wood ranch again after the one by my house was closed. The service itself was great! We were immediately greeted by the host and seated. The server came by shortly after and took our drink order. The place wasn't too busy for lunch but there were maybe four other parties, plus people sitting at the bar. The bread roll - 2/5. I feel like they would've been better but they were definitely not fresh. It was kind of tough! I think maybe if we came when it was busy, it would've been fresh. But I was dissatisfied with the free bread rolls. The caesar salad - 4/5. I think the salad was probably my favorite part of this meal. I do think they put a little too much dressing though. The cheeseburger slider - 5/5. This was probably my favorite! Can't go wrong with this. Bbq tri-tip slider - 4/5. The meat was pretty good, I just wasn't really a fan of how they seasoned it. I would definitely recommend the cheeseburger slider. Smashed sweet potatoes sides - I'm not going to rate this because I feel like it didn't go well with the meal LOL It was very mushy, and I wasn't a fan of the texture. Not sure what I was expecting tbh but it wasn't this. I feel like maybe as an appetizer but it does not go well with sliders Skin- on fries - 5/5. Pretty straight forward fries. Crispy and not soggy. Overall - I had a decent experience! read more

BBQ was dry. Food not worth the high price. Came with a small group and they would not split bill for all the parties.

We have been here many times and it's so much better now that they take reservations! We had stopped going there due to the long wait times and mixed seating results now it's a pleasure. We had excellent service when we came a couple months ago and I wish I could remember the server's name, because he was excellent. This time we had Gitari, and he was also excellent. Hope I spelled his name correctly. Since we had extraordinarily bad service the night before at a similar type of restaurant, it was a pleasure to come here the next day and have everything go really well. Further proof that the service makes all the difference in the world for how you experience any restaurant. We started with fried onions, which are always amazing. We each ordered something completely different for the main course and both were delicious. We shared a dessert and I asked for a modification and Gitari said "I got you" and indeed he did! The peach crisp was so much better after that modification. Anything we asked, Gitari made it happen and his enthusiastic professionalism truly enhanced the meal and elevated it. Thanks for the extraordinary service and can-do approach. It was the perfect antidote to the family dinner the previous night at a restaurant that has gone too downhill to mention. read more

I've been coming here since they opened up. Back then the staff was professional. Now, WTF, you make a reservation and they don't have a table reserved. Then they're stingy with the fucking bread, there's 4 people at the table and you're gonna bring a basket with 3 rolls? I don't think customers need to be fighting over the bread rolls. Then when you go to mention that's there's 4 of you, the server, like a ninja, is gone. When they finally appear again, they offer one person a refill, but not the other two people that clearly need refills as well. What the fuck is going on in this place? Are there budget cuts? Is the food good? It use to be. Their side portions have always been skimpy, but the food was at least good. These days, depending on which crew is working, the food could be mediocre to mediocre. The half chicken is dry, the burger patties are huge, but has no flavor. What is that about? Why are all the desserts vegan and gluten free? The Oreo cookie crunch ball thingy was good, but not amazing. Buttercake had a weird after-taste, but I can see some people liking it. I think I'll be taking a break from this place for a while. Hopefully they turn it around. read more

Wood Ranch - Trip tip/ baby back ribs Brisket/ beef rib plate - American Near Me - Burbank, California

The WR chain has pretty consistent service at their various locations. The Burbank location is no exception. It can get pretty noisy and crowded at this location with long wait times. So come early for dinner especially on weekends. The baby back ribs are a favorite. We also like their roast 1/2 chicken and salads. Many of their appetizers are very good. Getting the combo meals with 2 items does not reduce the quantity like at other places. The steamed vegetables are very consistent, but the quality of the grilled ones varies per visit. On this visit Julia helped us and she offered some of the most excellent service we have had recently. If you want BBQ and a nice sit down meal at a nice chain restaurant for a special occasion, just a night out, or family or friends dinner WR is an excellent choice. read more

We enjoyed our visit to the Wood Ranch in Burbank. We sat in a booth in the bar area, which seemed to have a little more atmosphere and really enjoyed our server Tylor, who made our visit that much more enjoyable. The food was quite good and the buffalo cauliflower stood out as extra delicious. Although, I have to say that the way the chicken on the Caesar salad was cooked really let you enjoy the wood smoked flavor, which was absolutely wonderful!! read more

I wish I had known about this place sooner. It's right up my alley! I'm a sucker for BBQ and steakhouse-style restaurants, and this one really delivered. The complimentary garlic rolls were a great start--fresh, warm, and buttery without being overly garlicky. I had to stop myself after two so I wouldn't ruin my appetite. We weren't super hungry, so we went with a half order of the famous onion strings and shared a quarter rack of ribs (five ribs total) with a baked potato and coleslaw as sides. The onion strings lived up to the hype and were thin, perfectly fried, and surprisingly not overly greasy. The ribs were the real standout for me, though. They had a delicious grilled char and just the right amount of BBQ sauce. Even the coleslaw was a nice touch, served in a purple cabbage bowl and super fresh. We lucked out with no wait on a Sunday at 5 PM, though it did get busy as we were eating. Our waitress was attentive and made sure we were taken care of. Next time I'm in Burbank, this spot is a must-return! read more

Came for my mother-in-law's birthday today, decided to try something different. Went with their Ribeye medium well, with a side of Lauren's Favorite Mac & Cheese and Sweet Potato Fries. I'm so sad to say, but the Ribeye was lacking flavor. It had plenty of flavor on top, but not all around the meat. The sadder part is the meat was perfectly cooked, had a nice sear on it, and it looked promising. I would find myself mixing the meat with my Mac & cheese to give it a more flavorful bite. Mac & cheese and Sweet Potato Fries were really good! Garlic rolls still delicious! Warm, soft, and buttery. They don't miss. Service was quick and attentive. A++, Ambiance was nice, surprisingly very quiet, soft lighting, very soothing ambiance. I would still recommend this spot, maybe it was a bad timing for the steak. I'll probably be back to reorder it, or I might just stick with my regular BBQ plate I get. read more

As always, had another great meal here. We had a filet mignon and tri tip. The food preparation and quality is very consistently perfect and delicious! And, yet again, we had great service! Our waitress, Brittany, was fantastic! She was very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. She looked super busy, tending to lots of crowded tables, but she was on it! I went to Wood Ranch in Burbank on a Wednesday evening. It was packed for a Wednesday evening, we had to wait for a table /booth but not for long. There is indoor and outdoor seating available. Wood Ranch decor is metal and wood beams. Austin was our waiter. We ordered appetizers BBQ chicken potato skin and fresh guacamole with warm chips. The guacamole was fresh and so good. Chips also came with salsa. We ordered a BBQ combo with smoked brisket and Wood Ranch Tri-Tip with mashed potatoes and grilled corn on the cob. Warm bread was also served with our drinks while waiting for our food to be served. Although busy our food was served promptly, and drinks were refilled. Austin was a great waiter. On Saturday, August 22nd, my son and older brother and I went to wood ranch in Burbank. I am not someone who likes leaving. Negative reviews, but I feel this needs to be addressed. My son became extremely sick after eating hair with intense vomiting and a high fever. It was honestly frightening to watch. He has now missed 2 days of work and is still recovering. I reported what happened to the restaurant. The next day Sunday, August 23rd I wasn't looking to cause problems or make accusations. I simply wanted to make them aware and give them an opportunity to investigate. I expected someone would follow-up with me. But no one did I call today? Tuesday, August 25th I still have heard nothing. The woman I spoke to was polite, but repeatedly said, I'm sorry I wasn't in until today. I completely understand that. But what concerns me is that apparently no one else followed up or felt there was any urgency. Thankfully, my son is healthy and is not fully recovered. But feels maybe just a little better. But watching him, that sick made me think about what could happen. If this were a small child, an elderly person or someone with health issues, that is what really concerns me. I was told someone would call me back after checking the food logs. I hope they do I am not looking for a fight or trying to threaten anyone. I simply wanted the restaurant to take my concern seriously. And look into what happened. Unfortunately, having to call back myself 2 days later, because no one reached out has left me extremely disappointed. When someone reports a potentially serious food-related illness, there should be a sense of urgency and follow-up. I will never go back to woodrench, and it's unfortunate because it was one of our favorite restaurants. Beware, be alert and protect yourselves. Especially after my bill was a hundred and forty six dollars read more

The hostess was very pleasant and welcoming and we had our table after a short wait. Julia greeted us with a smile and was incredibly friendly. It was a nice way to start our 10 year anniversary celebration. She got our drinks and brought the most amazing looking rolls. Then quickly took them away because we told her about our keto lifestyle. It was a sad moment because the rolls are amazing but I am glad that she took them away fast and with a smile. Our orders came out quick, correct and she made sure to check on us even bringing us one last refill for the road. All in all it was a great experience so thank you Wood Ranch but more importantly that you Julia for the great service. I visited Wood Ranch in Burbank today with my niece and nephew. My niece ordered a chicken plate with sweet potato fries and both items were cold when her order arrived. I ordered a cheeseburger with a side salad asking for the dressing on the side. It arrived with the dressing on the salad. The waitress had dropped the plate when picking up my order. She apologized and indicated that the cooks were preparing my order. I asked the waitress to prepare it to go. I ate half of the burger for dinner when I realized the meat was raw inside. I had to dispose of the rest. read more

Wood Ranch is one of my favorite places to eat. The Burbank location is similar to their other locations. The adjacent parking lot makes it pretty easy. However, the spots are very tight. The restaurant is usually busy. This time around we sat in the bar area at one of the high top tables. We started off with warm bread. My guy also ordered chips and guacamole. For a BBQ place the quac was delicious. This time, I ordered the tri tip with Mac and cheese. Each protein comes with 2 sides of choice. The food was excellent. The portion size was plenty. Their menu offers multiple proteins and side dishes. There are a handful of appetizers as well. They are extremely family friendly with kid friendly menus. There is some outdoor seating. This is perfect for hot summer nights. One can not go wrong with Wood Ranch. read more

I don't generally update reviews especially downward, I sat on this for a couple of days to think about it so that it wouldn't be reactionary. I swear this is not about the baked potato but we will get to that. First on the positive side the service was great as it always. The problem was the food nearly all of it was bad, not off but straight up bad which was shocking because this is the first bad experience I have had with a Wood Ranch location. I ordered a BBQ combo with brisket and ribs with broccoli and corn and while the ribs were passible the brisket was terrible way over cooked and tasted like leather the corn was dry and bland no seasoning same for the broccoli. My partner had pulled pork which was so dry it had the appearance it had been left out in the open for hours. Now the potato in the room, again this is not the reason for the bad review just seemed to be the bad cherry on top. My partner ordered a loaded baked potato the server wrote it down wrong which is no big deal it happens place is very busy so it is understandable. We did not notice right away as we were having a conversation I happened to look down and notice they brought mashed so I pointed it out, the server looked and noticed she did write it down wrong then asked if we still wanted the baked potato she did so they brought it out. Normally with a mistake you don't get charged for it, and I would have been fine if they just charged the difference between the two but I was charged full price. Again had it just been that it wouldn't have lead to the update to the review just a disappointment in customer service. I hate having to write this but it was so bad that I have to in hopes that it will be addressed since it is such a drastic change. I like Wood Ranch in general but I'm not sure we will return to this location. read more

DELICIOUS! I've been craving ribs for a while now and I was finally able to get my hands on some! The ribs were cooked to perfection and the meat easily falls off the bones!
