Service is notably great! Everyone is so friendly and works together. Cute little spot that's not so little. I can't believe I didn't know about it! Good coffee and yummy food. We tried their famous fried chicken plate that comes with mashed potato and coleslaw... it is famous for a reason! We also ordered the chicken tenders dinner plate. It was okay - the breading was a little too thick and the fries with a little bland. Blueberry muffins are a must try.

This is a charming restaurant. It has diner counter seating at the front as well as booth and table seating on either side. The restaurant is more spacious than it looks. I came here for lunch w work colleagues and we got Indy dog seated. However I will say from ordering to the food coming out, it took almost 30+ minutes. I got the popular turkey melt and added lettuce and tomato. It was a tasty sandwich and well made. The turkey was delicious and bread was toasted nicely. The fried arent my fave style of fries tho. lol! Parking is free and plentiful in the lot.

This is a really neat restaurant. It is much bigger than it looks. We sat downstairs where it is very dark with a bar and a cool vibe. Upstairs had plenty of room and lots of light. This place looks like its out of a old movie. We were disappointed because we were looking for breakfast. We were under the impression that breakfast ended at 1:00pm. I guess they stop serving breakfast closer to 11:30. We even saw people eating breakfast. We got a strong no on breakfast due to kitchen rules. I ordered a chicken sandwich. It was alright. My bf had the double decker which he said was good. Service was friendly. Parking is tight in front but wraps around the back.

The Tally has a special place in my heart, so this is a somewhat bias review. That being said, the food is solid, the service efficient and friendly and the ambiance is of a bygone era - awesome! Request a seat in the bar, to me, the heart of Tallyrand. Here's where my dad had many a 3 martini lunch from the 60s through the 80s. He explained to me, on a special day I got to shadow him "at work," that the layout of Tally bar is perfect for business lunches. 'I can be close to the back door exit, while keeping an eye on the front door if my boss walks in.' So once a year Hubs and I come to the Tally to raise a glass to Dad and enjoy a classic meal done perfectly since 1959. Tonight, I was in the mood for one of their hand carved steaks. A beautiful 30oz New York Angus, seared and delivered perfectly Rare/Medium (I like more rare than medium, but enjoy a good sear). It came with choice of side(steamed veggies for me), and salad or scratch made daily soup(chicken noodle tonight). I requested some A1 sauce, but a perfect sauce doesn't need it and I didn't use it. The steak was seasoned perfectly with just salt & pepper. Chef's kiss! Hubs went with the classic pot roast dinner, opting for a baked potato over the fresh daily mashed potatoes and house made gravy. He also enjoyed the chicken noodle soup. Our dinners also have an option of a loaf of sourdough or muffin - all baked fresh daily. These muffins are SO GOOD! You'll be asked if you prefer the muffin to go, which I've elected to do previously because it's a great treat in the morning for breakfast, but tonight I wanted that delicious, moist carrot cake muffin with my dinner. Hubs opted for the sourdough - also very delicious! ;) We didn't have room for dessert, which they are also known for, but left full, satisfied and looking forward to another meal in the near future. Hubs has his eye on the pot roast quesadilla next. Cheers! "CC"

MIXED REVIEWS FOR DINNER ======================== My husband and I and two of our friends met for dinner on Sunday, December 7th. I worked and lived in Burbank years ago, but I don't think I had ever been there. My husband had not been there. Our friends like it and they recommended it. I did my research on Yelp ahead of time and decided on the turkey dinner. I loved it. My husband decided on the chicken fried steak and he hated it. That was the kiss of death as far as he's concerned. I will have to go back with friends sans husband. Our friends were happy with the dishes they chose. One picked the fried chicken and the other a salad. I absolutely loved the sourdough bread.

It's my first time ever eating at that place While the parking lot was full, and the place was super packed I don't know if it's because the rain I attracted everybody here inside or because it's just delicious and good I know this is a landmark in Burbank. It's been around for a long time. I ordered the "giant Reuben sandwich" for $17.50: corn beef, Swiss cheese, and sauerkraut on a grilled sourdough bread It comes with French fries: the large and thick style. Food is just ok, and the atmosphere is your typical American coffee shop...

I love this place. Is it Michelin quality? No. Has it been renovated in 50 years? Don't think so. But is it charming, is the food fresh and comforting, and are the waitstaff smiling from ear to ear? Yes. I had the turkey dinner. "Homemade" mashed potatoes seems a bit of a stretch but I will say that overall, it's good and not dry turkey, tons of food, and it all goes together well. The salad was more lettuce on a plate, but the ranch was good and the sourdough was warm. It's good prices for the amount, a server who seemed genuinely happy to be there and excited for the food she served, and the noise level made it so I could actually hear my friend speak --rare in a restaurant now!

Had the tuna melt with fries and a slice of chocolate cake. The tuna melt was good and think cut fries were excellent. The chocolate cake (Bundt cake) was dry and not something I would order again. My sister ordered the blackened chicken sandwich which was very tasty. They have clam chowder which I wanted to try but I decided on the sandwich. I would return again to try other entrees .

Go to breakfast and brunch restaurant when I'm in Burbank. This place is an institution coffee shop diner family restaurant. Super friendly service and great American family restaurant food. Super busy so prepare to wait in the morning but well worth it! Great breakfast and omelette plus large lunch and dinner menu. They are famous for their fired chicken which is the bomb!

Belgian Waffle without Strawberries

The place is located on Olive Ave in Burbank and has a parking lot but there is plenty of parking on the side streets, It was built in the 1950's and still has that feeling of an old diner.we were seated to the right of the hostess and saw double doors. After 10 minutes the doors were opened and to my surprise there was a staircase going down. Downstairs there are tables and an oldtime bar I'll have to go again just to go into the bar for the experience! We sat down and the waiter came to take our drink orders, he was followed by a waitress who took our food order- when we entered we were given Breakfast menus then my sister asked for the lunch menu, so we had both to look at. They were patient as we looked over the menus and I settled for the Belgian Waffle. The waffle was fluffy and golden brown covered with whip cream and butter which made each mouthful perfect! I'm fussy about waffles and this one will get me to return! The wait staff was constantly coming around to give refills and ask if we needed anything! I truly enjoyed the attention we were given and highly recommend it!

Hot tub Time Machine for real. The food was ok. I ate. Tried a pancake which was great. I love old school diners. The bar area is awesome if you're into dark daytime drinking. Service was very nice. Liked the big booth we got in the back.

Hot Turkey Sandwich

My go-to place when I'm in the Burbank area. Such good food and the servers make you feel like you're at home. Old school feel and the meals are hot and fresh. Come HUNGRY cause the menu is big and the portions are generous. I tell myself to try something new every time I come but always end up getting the hot turkey sandwich. You just can't go wrong with that! Their chili is really good too. I usually get that as an appetizer then cry about how full I am when I leave LOL

Jim B.

We love coming here to eat. Unfortunately, we usually get just one entree which is their famous turkey dinner. Although they have so many other choices, we ordered the turkey dinner once again. I think it's the best I've ever had. As usual the food was amazing! Our was Christin who was also excellent.

Solid, coffee shop with friendly, attentive service and large, family friendly menu. Even and "old fashion" dessert case with revolving goodies! The first thing I notice on approach was the side door entry directly to the lounge. It reminded me of back when Denny's had a lounge, but those were all removed by the time I came of legal drinking age. LOL Lancers also has a lounge and it was tempting to pop in for a mid afternoon adult libation, but we had no time to languish over 3 martinis lunches, so into the main dining area we went. We were greeted and sat in a booth immediately and a gentleman came to ask us what drinks he could get us started with. Then our server arrived and introduced himself, pointed out the lunch specials and gave us a few minutes to decide. I opted for the Chef Salad and Hubs went for the ham steak breakfast with pancakes. My salad was cold, crisp and delicious, served with a slice of fresh bread. Yum! It was a very large salad, so I knew as soon as it was placed before me, half of this bad boy would be dinner. Hubs breakfast was also good. He couldn't finish all his pancakes, so I graciously offered my assistance. Now, my fave pancakes are more cake-y dense than anything, but these weren't bad at'll. Fluffy and light with a hint of sweetness. We didn't have room for dessert, but a glance through the rotating display told me it wouldn't be a bad idea to pop in just for coffee and pie sometime. There's LOADS of free parking in their vast lot and I look forward to returning far sooner than all the previous decade of my passing by had allowed. Def going to try a dessert next time. Cheers! Nevertheless, after today's lunch with a friend of mine, I decided to pass on going there. My friend and I met there for lunch. She had a burger with onion rings, and I had one of my favourites, Liver and onions, and veggies with mashed potatoes and gravy ( without the onions). But today I just finally realized it's time for me to move on. The last time I was there, when I had eggs Benedict, they were quite bad, and the waiter got on my wrong side by slamming the bill on our table when we barely finished. And it wasn't very busy there. Jesus Christ stop being so pushy. It felt like, "yeah, you guys ate now get the hell out of here". Today, my friend liked her food, but mine was the liver dish. One of the worst I have ever had. The mashed potatoes were almost cold, the carrots so overcooked that they would have been perfect as baby food. And the liver, tasteless and hard, and that for 19-some Dollars. That's it, I think I spend my money where the food is worth the money, and I, as a customer, won't feel that much pressure to pay and go.

They have a very extensive menu here. There's a parking lot in the back and I also noticed a sign that said Complimentary Valet but there wasn't anyone at the stand. We walked in to a completely empty restaurant and saw one server (Denise) taking another table's order outside. I think she was the only employee on duty and doing everything by herself. After about 7 minutes, she approached us and asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside, and we said outside. Then she asked us if we preferred the smoking or non-smoking patio, and we chose non-smoking. I didn't even know this was an option nowadays, I thought smoking at restaurants wasn't allowed anymore. Apparently they also have hookah available every day starting at 5pm, both inside and outside the restaurant. I was really looking forward to trying their frittata but didn't know that breakfast was only until 3pm. Unfortunately I couldn't order it since we got here around 4pm. We stayed with our waters and I got a bowl of their Clam Chowder soup that came with 2 bulky and FRESH pieces of warm Focaccia bread. I also ordered a Chicken Pesto Panini which came with Grilled Chicken Breast, Basil Pesto Aioli, Tomato, Mozzarella, Fresh Basil, Roasted Peppers and Arugula on toasted Ciabatta Bread. I chose Fruit as my side. The ingredients were all fresh, but unfortunately the bread was toasted way more than my liking and the sandwich was really dry overall. There wasn't enough pesto and the chicken was a bit overcooked. I felt like I was hurting my tooth as I ate it. On the other hand, my soup absolutely stole the show. It was an outstanding bowl of Clam Chowder that really hit the spot after not having it for several years. It was piping hot, and again, very fresh. So flavorful and enjoyable. I savored every spoonful! My son ordered the French Turkey Sandwich that came with Roasted Turkey with Swiss Cheese, Avocado, Tomato, Pickles, Lettuce, Red Onions, Garlic Aioli on Sourdough Bread. He loved his sandwich and ate every crumb off his plate. I also had some of his sandwich and it was really good, way better than mine. Also nice portion for the price. He got his with a side salad that had arugula, tomatoes, red onion and lemon vinaigrette. After seating us and taking our order, Denise disappeared and Bryce took over. He was an excellent server and provided great customer service. I told him about my issues with my sandwich and he apologized and brought me some extra pesto aioli on the side. The place is very clean and everything looks very new and well-kept. Bryce mentioned they've been around for about 10 years but did an extensive remodel during COVID. I'd also like to mention that the tap water tasted so good. No nasty aftertaste like some other restaurants. Even their glasses were beautiful. Thank you management, Bryce and The Corner. We will be back another time to try the same sandwich and see if there's any improvement. We will also try more things, including the Frittata. Both restrooms were fully stocked and super clean!!

My partner and I (not the same person mentioned in the original post) came here today to enjoy a late lunch. We've come here many times since my initial review and have always enjoyed our meals. We have a lot of fond memories of this place, I've even brought friends here as well because I spoke highly of it. I ordered the huevos machaca and a regular coffee. My partner ordered the chicken quesadilla and a latte. When they brought the latte out, the cup was filthy (smelled like bacon and had old lipstick on the rim) and tasted terrible. We asked for the drink to be remade in a clean cup and with different milk. It was, but it was like the La Croix of lattes- just purely milky with the lightest essence of espresso. My partner was quite disappointed with his meal and obviously the latte. His quesadilla came with a side of fruit and I swear they picked the worst fruit in each batch. The strawberries were shriveled and dry, and the watermelon was very soggy. The huevos machaca I ordered was incredibly underwhelming from what I remember. The coffee was whatever- you typically know what to expect when ordering a drip coffee at a diner, you know? The waiter offered us boxes but we declined; there was nothing redeeming about our meals. I used to love this place, but today made me question coming back. The menu prices have also increased (which sucks but I understand because it's expensive to exist in 2026). Maybe Foxy's staff was having an off-day today. I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I'm not sure I'll come back again. Only time will tell.

The front signage is brilliant and you can spot it from the street while driving by. The outdoor patio is made to feel like you're chillin' next to a parked RV. And it's lush. The picnic tables and outdoor greenery feels like you've escaped the concrete jungle, and you're somewhere out by a lake with lots of tall trees and maybe even a bear. Or rather, as hungry as one--which I was. As I walked up to the front of the line inside, I didn't mind the 10-minute wait since there were so many good choices on the menu. Chilequiles looked good. The portion looked like it could satisfy a lumberjack crawling out of hibernation. House-made Pasties? Yes, please. Bring on the fresh fruit cronut. Yes, it tasted as good as it looked. Flaky, buttery, and topped with a crystal sugary glaze, it beared fresh bananas, blueberries, and strawberries like a badge of honor. Huevos Rancheros - It was a fiesta of spices mingling with over easy eggs on top of warm corn tortillas, and topped with a ranchero sauce with just the right amount of heat. I like that they aren't shy about avocado rations and that the hash browns are perfectly crisp and buttery. I'd say the whole plate comes together like a campfire song everyone already knows the words to. Kumba-YUM!!!!!! Verdict: Hangry campers walk out feeling fueled up and happy to start their day.
