Clam chowder pretty standard. Nothing special. Dry aged NY steak and frites- asked for medium rare but got like medium well. Flavor was good, nice crust. The meat was nice and flavorful. Green sauce resembles a chimichurri. Pretty good. Frites are crisp outside and starchy and soft inside. Well salted. But the sauce for fries is lacking in flavor. A simple ketchup would have been better. Ambiance is high end restaurant. It's great. Service was slow for us and they forgot the bread basket. We're kind of getting neglected in the side by the window. Overall: dina LA set $25 lunch is great deal.
My first visit to The Capital Grille was thanks to a friend who suggested it, and I'm glad she did. We were greeted by Joe, the Managing Partner, who stopped by our table and surprised each of us with a glass of Prosecco. It was completely unexpected and such a lovely touch. As a first-time guest, that kind of welcome made an immediate impression on me and was a wonderful way to start dinner. The dining room has a classic steakhouse feel with white tablecloths, warm lighting, dark wood, and an impressive glass-enclosed wine display near the entrance. I also liked being able to see into the kitchen from the dining room. It felt polished without being stiff. I decided to order from the Dine LA dinner menu, which was a great way to try several things on my first visit. My steak was cooked exactly as I ordered it, and the sides were generous enough to share. I also really liked the variety in the bread basket, which is always a good start in my book. Michael, our server, was attentive throughout dinner and happily answered our questions about the menu. The service felt professional while still being warm and easygoing. The cheesecake was a great way to finish the meal. The brûléed top added a little caramelized crunch, while the berries and sauce kept it from feeling overly sweet. They offer valet, and there's also street parking nearby if you happen to find a spot. I had such a good first experience that I definitely want to come back. I enjoyed both the meal and the service, and Joe's unexpected welcome made the evening especially memorable.
Dine LA Restaurant Week brought me in! From the Dine LA dinner menu we ordered: wedge salad, and they were kind enough to substitute Gorgonzola instead of Kona for my dry aged NY strip. We also tried some additional appetizers: lobster and crab cakes and double cut smoked bacon. Both delicious. For beverages we tried: the doli, blackberry bourbon sidecar, and capital cosmopolitan. We also tried a glass of wine: DeLille Cellars, Chaleur Blanc. Every drink was amazing. Our server Halina took good care of us along with all of the staff there!
Party of four for my birthday. Erin provided extraordinary service: professional, smiling, and paying attention throughout the meal. I couldn't ask for a better server. All of the food was delicious. I had the steak frites cooked perfectly to medium-rare/rare. The second steak frites was ordered rare, and it came out perfectly rare. The salmon was delicious and fresh. The lobster salad looked great, and I was told it was very good. First time here, I came on dine LA. I will absolutely come back here.
The Capital Grille is stellar. Quality, consistency , professionalism are top notch. and the food is very good. This is definitely a restaurant to bring someone to impress.... and they will thank you
Love Capital Grille during the generous pour! They had a 3 course dinner with a wine pairing for $135, a great deal! Came in time for happy hour and got to try some other things too. Everything was tasty but a bit on the overcooked side, so ask for rarer than you want it. - lamb chop: good but I probably wouldn't order it again for happy hour - ny strip: delicious! But more done than what I asked for. - filet sliders: absolutely would order again. That's a great deal for filets. A bit more done than I wanted but not bad. - ribeye: the sauce on this was tasty. Temperature was good. - salad: I thought this was overdressed.
We came to The Capital Grille in Burbank to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday, and from beginning to end, our experience was absolutely exceptional. Because of our schedules, we weren't able to make a reservation and ended up walking in, but we were seated within five minutes. Our server, John (I believe that was his name!), was absolutely superb and truly made the evening feel special. We were able to enjoy the Generous Pour, which was actually my second time doing it and my boyfriend's first. We both started with the wedge salad, followed by the 8 oz. filet with creamed spinach, brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes. I added the Gorgonzola crust to my filet, and it was AMAZING. Everything was delicious, and being able to try the different wines throughout dinner made the experience even more enjoyable. Patrick, the manager, also came over to check on us and was absolutely wonderful. What really stood out to me, though, was the level of service from the entire team. From the hosts, to our server, to the back waiter, to management, every single person we encountered was phenomenal. We felt genuinely welcomed and taken care of throughout the entire evening. This was only my second time dining at The Capital Grille, and the Burbank location completely won me over. When I go out to dine, exceptional service is something I truly appreciate, and they went above and beyond. I really can't put into words how much we appreciated everyone making my boyfriend's birthday dinner feel so special. I cannot recommend this location enough. The food, wine, hospitality, and service were all outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will 100% be back!! No doubt about it!
When life starts to get a little mundane, put on a cute outfit and have a fancy little date night with your boo at Capital Grille! After driving by Capital Grille for months since they've opened, my boyfriend and I finally decided to give it a try. A cute date night on a Sunday to kick off the new week. Making reservations online was quick and easy and most time slots were open. We easily found parking in the neighborhood behind Capital Grille. They offer valet parking but we didn't mind the short walk. You'll walk into the lobby where you'll be greeted by the host. It's dimly lit, intimate, and fancy inside the restaurant. There's a huge statue of a bald eagle in the center of the room, the vibe was giving Old Money Hollywood. Shoutout to our server Ronnie! He was super kind, helpful, and made our dining experience really enjoyable. We ordered Brussels sprouts to share and ooooh boy were they addicting! They were roasted with a deep char flavor, not crispy but had good texture. My boyfriend ordered a Caesar Salad, it tasted great, but could have had better presentation to match the vibes of the restaurant (but that's just me being picky haha). I ordered the Roasted Chicken, it came with fingerling potatoes, asparagus, and a nice sauce. Chicken was juicy and had rich flavor without feeling too heavy. potatoes were really good, I try to be low carb but they were too good to pass up! The sauce made the dish. It was creamy, little tangy, went very well with the chicken. My boyfriend loved his steak! I don't remember exactly which steak he ordered but he appreciated that they made it to his liking. He likes his steaks on the well side but not too well where it's dry. They cooked it perfectly! Would definitely come back for another date night or for any celebrations.
We came back for another visit to the bar and had a great experience. Our food was great, as were drinks. Star of the night was server, Syd, who was just the best. Celebrated a friend's birthday and CG was lovely in their acknowledgement. We love the look of the place and tge bar is great. So happy they were on the A game!
We Burbankers don't like to brag, but it's all birthday cake and candles at Burbank's new high-end outpost of The Capital Grille. Don't forget your wallet, as you're in the hundo range, per person, once that crisp napkin is placed in your lap. Worth it? Yes! A beautiful, beautiful restaurant with a classic (and classy) dining room, private rooms that look very cosy (and were all full when I stopped in for a birthday dinner), and a mile long bar with booths, tables and of course the bar. From the host/hostess stand to the servers to the runners, everyone is so welcoming and friendly. Valet and tons of street parking adjacent if you're not in heels. It's a steak house at its core, but do not sleep on the salmon -- super delicious and you're getting the omega-3 fatty acids for healthmaxxing. Robbie B tip: the happy hour. Reduced price wine glasses and small bites (but actually pretty big portions) of fancy bar food. Sliders, fries, mini lamb chops; it's a whole meal in there. Perfect place to quit your job and celebrate.
Came for HH, we sat at the bar. It was nice because it was practically empty! I was very happy with my steak, and my soup. All of the different flavors really came out while eating my dish. Not to mention, the cocktail was light,but strong! I'll be back!
Of course, as always!, everything is perfect at the Capital Grille. Service absolutely spot on, from the greeting (without reservation) as we walked in to our server - wonderful!! The ambience is perfection from the low volume lighting, to the subdued lighting is warm and relaxing, conducive to conversation. Great for date nights and business!! The food is reliable and ALWAYS good!! The flourless chocolate was SOOOO yum we forgot to take a pic before we started!!
My girlfriend and I had a great time here! Feels like an upscale steak joint from the old days with some modern touches. Ambiance 4/5 Located in an office building complex, so it's a little odd to get to. It's from back in the day when a lot of studio execs worked in the area and held business meetings. Inside is nice. There's a main area that is a little noisy but has nice lighting and mood, plus a few side rooms. We were seated in a side room -- at first we were a little bummed, but then realized it felt semi-private and much quieter. Lovely artwork on the walls! Service 5/5 Our server was very attentive. I read some other reviews suggesting service was slow -- maybe they got the memo, because this was anything but. They were very eager to please. The manager came by at the end to check in on us, and they comped us dessert! Food 4.5/5 We got oysters and a crab cocktail as appetizers -- both tasty! I had a NY Strip, my girlfriend had a scallop risotto dish she liked. We shared lobster mac and cheese and some asparagus. For dessert, they comped us a small flourless chocolate cake and a panna cotta. First off, beginning with the end -- that was one of the best flourless chocolate cakes I have ever had. Not too dry, not too moist. Delicious! The panna cotta was also a knockout, just not quite at the same bar as the chocolate cake. Both were amazing. I'm knocking off just a little because I found my NY Strip to be fine but a little bland. Part of that is on me -- I'm allergic to wine and asked for no wine-based sauces. They do have options to elevate the steaks with various crusts and preparations at an additional cost, which is worth checking out. Everything else was really good -- including the americano I ordered and some mocktails we had! The bread was amazing as well! This is a great place for a date night, a pricey business meeting, or a family affair. It's not cheap, as you'd expect, but competitive with other restaurants in this category. Better food than Soho House, and less expensive.

Was in the area, and had never been here, plus the menu looked good, so made a quick reservation and stopped by for an early dinner. Sat at the bar and we were greeted immediately and provided water. After a quick glance at the menu, started off with cocktails. The Mai Tai want your classic Mai Tai, and the better said they were missing an ingredient, so he did a twist on the Mai Tai. It was ok, felt it was missing a needed flavor element though. The passion fruit mojito was pretty tasty though, definitely had that mojito taste with a little passion fruit pop. For food we started with two grilled oysters and the lobster and crab cake. The grilled oysters were delicious, but how do you go wrong with anple cheese and bread crumbs texture on an oyster? The lobster and crab cake was also great, plenty of crab and lobster meat within. Exactly what you would want in this dish. For entrees we went with the dry aged New York strip and, they had a special wagyu Burger with blue cheese and truffle. The strip was aged for 18-24 days, cooked perfectly and was so tender. Just a bite you want to enjoy each time. The burger was also delicious with the truffle mixed with the blue cheese and caramelized onions. You get a little of everything in each bite, just makes your mouth happy. Overall, nice steakhouse spot in Burbank that is well with the trip. That burger was phenomenal, as was the NY strip, and that lobster and crab cake along with the oysters, delicious. The Mai Tai could be improved but they did what they could with the ingredients on hand, so that's my fault for choosing something they didn't have everything for. Definitely a nice gem in Burbank so, if you're in the area, and are hungry, go stop by and enjoy what they have to offer in an upscale space. read more

Finally a good steak house in Burbank. Great resturant for lunch or dinner. Amazing service, nicely decorated gives a little old school vibes, great mix drinks, and overall everything was great. Onion caviar dip is a must for appetizer Tuna tartar is a must Oysters from Maine I think or might be wrong but they were good. Lobster Mac & cheese great side to go with your steak. Porcini-Rubbed Bone-In Ribeye medium cooked delicious. Porcini rub made the steak crispy on the outer side, but the inside was perfect. read more
The best upscale restaurant in Burbank! We celebrated a holiday dinner at the capital grille and we had the best experience. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious from the appetizers to the desserts. The service was excellent we had a few servers and they were serving us nonstop. I came here for Thanksgiving with family and was blown away with both the food and the service. New to Burbank on a corner that has seen multiple failed restaurants, I believe this one to be a winner! Capital Grill has been a long time chain in LA and in multiple states for 20 years. The last time I was at a Capital Grill was at the Beverly Center. I hope the new Burbank location has a forever home as everything was excellent. We started with the ceasar salad, French onion soup, and the prosciutto wrapped mozzarella. All of them were excellent but I'd skip the French onion soup next time. For entrees we got the Kona crusted New York steak and the miso sea bass. While the New York was delicious we didn't really taste the Kona crust. The miso cod was buttery and mouth watering. For our sides we got the mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts and creamed corn. All were so good, I went back on another day just to order them Togo. All in all, I'd absolutely recommend Capital Grill for any good meal, especially for steaks with family or a work dinner as their ambiance truly works for all situations. read more
Not my first time at Capital Grill, but it is my first time at their new Burbank locations. Came here for dinner to celebrate my birthday and we had fabulous experience. The underground parking below the restaurant is so convenient and free with validation. Love classy sophisticated atmosphere. All movie star paintings gives the place Hollywood movie set vibe. Our server Rocky was really friendly and helpful. Got us started on few cocktails. Definitely recommend their signature "Doli" cocktail which is pineapple martini. So smooth and delicious. Their bread basket was so amazing. Best bread ensemble ever assembled at a steakhouse. Both fresh half dozen oysters and prosciutto wrapped mozzarella were fantastic. We got the classic dry aged New York Strip with side of cream spinach and grill asparagus. Cooked to perfection medium rare, the steaks were sublime. We got one with peppercorn sauce and it was extra yummy. All sides were on point as well. Desserts were a must on my birthday so we got cream brûlée and their famous cheesecake with berries. OMG the cheesecake was amazing, not too heavy or sweet. We literally annihilated cheesecake in seconds, so good! Cream brûlée didn't disappoint either..yum! Service was amazing from beginning to end. Our steaks took longer to cook than expected and management waived our sides and dessert charge. So nice of them for doing that...we didn't mind waiting, but still thankful! We will definitely come back when we are in the mood for great steak. read more

Great service and food! We came during the World Series games and were seated at the bar. Nice setting not too rowdy but still a good crowd. We had the special Wagyu & Wine pairing. We were not sure if we would like the wine pairs so our server gave us some small samples and we enjoyed the suggestions. The burgers doneness are made to order; medium was perfect for us still juicy and flavorful! Parking is validated for the underground lot. read more
Capital grille is the third venture at this location within the last twenty years. Mccormick & Schmick's was great and they had one of the best happy hours of all time. We were sad to see it go. Then came Claim Jumper, which wasn't bad either. Now, Capital Grille has planted its flag here and is making a go of it. We came in to give it a try. The food here is really very good. Everything we had, was great. The Plymouth Martini and the Blackberry Bourbon Sidecar were delicious. The 10oz. Filet was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The Sea Bass was excellent, the Lobster Bisque was packed with nice sized chunks of Lobster. The Tuna Tartare was smaller than expected, but still tasty, and the Creamed Spinach was nice and creamy. Everything was great. The service was attentive and the bar was spacious and comfortable. They clearly have put a lot of money into this space. Kudos to Capital Grille. This neighborhood is not what it was five years ago. There are considerably more nearby office vacancies, and the studios have greatly downsized their operations. I hope there is enough business for Capital Grille, especially since Morton's Steakhouse is just a two minute walk away, and their prices are comparable. I do hope they will offer some type of happy hour menu. Nonetheless, I wish them the best. read more

I live in Burbank and I am so happy to have a nice high-quality restaurant near me. My recent visit was Aug 19, 2026 for my wife's birthday. Before dinner we sat at the fantastic bar for a cocktail. Then we both ordered the Restaurant Week special menu, which was very good. For a few dollars more, I ordered the Bone-In NY Steak, which was worth it. I also ordered the Generous Pour wine offering, which was fun. The wines were from Duckhorn. Their Sparkling wine and Chardonnay were excellent, but I expected more from the red wines. If Generous Pour offered wines from different wineries, it would be reason to visit again to taste different wines. Overall, the food was excellent as was the service, both at the bar and dining table. A very nice relaxing evening with great service. read more

I had an amazing experience at The Capital Grille. We had an association dinner lecture in the Hollywood Room of the restaurant which was very spacious enough to fit 25 of us. Staff were friendly and very attentive always making sure our water glasses were full. We were given option between salmon, chicken risotto, or I think it was rib eye. I got the Chicken Risotto and my friend got the salmon. Before the food, every table was given a bread basket filled with several different breads, and oh my they were all so good, warm as if they had just come out of the oven, so crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. Next came the salad which was very fresh, and I felt had the perfect amount of dressing splattered throughout. The main course though, spinach and mashed potatoes to share among the table and we all got our main course on our own plates. My friend gave me a piece of her salmon to try, it was perfectly cooked, moist, and delicious. But my Chicken risotto was just amazing. I couldn't stop eating because it was so good, so I ended up eating the entire thing instead of taking half home for lunch the next day. Absolutely delicious. Lastly the dessert, It was like a soft chocolate fudge, very rich and decadent. I had a few bites and took the rest home for which I've been having a few bites here and there until it disappears. I am definitely impressed and cannot wait to come back and try some of the other menu items!!! read more

We have been waiting for this place to open in a long while and it did not disappoint at all. This location is now in Beautiful Burbank. The restaurant is so beautiful. Each private room is designed with its own theme. They decorated this restaurant was so beautiful. The service and superb is superb. The food is delicious and prepared just right. Fantastic food, service and atmosphere. Shout out to Jacob our server for his incredible knowledge and excellent service. Though I myself am not a wine person, one of the attendees at our dinner was and he noted that they have a great selection. My wife and I got the following cocktails: - Negroni Bianco - Doli - In Fashion The drinks here have a very smooth, rounded profile without being overly sweet, with the Negroni being my favorite for its pleasant botanical scent. The Doli cocktail is a simple yet elegant 2 ingredient cocktail featuring high quality vodka and pineapple juice hand pressed by staff. Bread selection with the meal was very fun and loved the variety - there was an onion bread, some sort of sweet roll, lavash cracker-like bread, and a ciabatt-like dinner roll. For appetizers we got... - Calamari: the included pickled peppers paired well, and the calamari was very tender without being greasy - Prosciutto Mozzarella: my personal favorite for its surprisingly balanced taste - Bacon: Thick cut and extremely flavorful For Mains we got: - Gorgonzola Dry Aged NY Strip: the sweeping favorite of the night; the funkiness of the cheese and dry age played together nicely instead of overpowering - Porcini: rib eye that is markedly ungreasy and not overly rich; the red pepper sauce does a great job of amplifying the meatiness yet cutting the fattiness that rib eyes tend to have without overpowering the flavor of the meat itself - Au Gratin potatoes, Mac and Cheese, and Creamed Corn: we each picked a different favorite side dish but they were all delicious in their own right. For me the only thing with these was that with the meat, it was a lot of rich on rich for my personal taste, but it did not detract from the meal ultimately For the dessert the cheesecake was decadent yet manageable thanks to it's ricotta cream cheese mixture that kept it lighter, and highlighted the flavor the graham cracker crust. Parking is pretty easy as theres a street along the side as well as a parking lot (not sure if theres a fee or anything for it though). Highly recommend this spot for some classic fine dining in the Burbank/Warner Bros area. read more

The Capital Grille was a solid pleasure. Good food. Great Service. The rooms were pleasantly laid out with inviting pools of light and dark. Filet mignon was perfect. Other tasty standouts included Pan-Fried Calamari with Hot Cherry Peppers (spicy!), Roasted Wild Mushrooms, and (this was a surprise) Creamed Spinach! Usually, I have zero expectations for creamed spinach, but The Capital Grille prepared it well enought to make the dish memorable. Oysters Rockefeller were good though not remarkable. Lobster Mac was a little flat, but it brightened up after we got some fresh-ground pepper on it. The only real fail of the night was the Soy-Glazed Brussels Sprouts with Bacon. They were sweet and a touch bitter, while simultaneously flavor flat. Overall, the evening was tasty fun, and even the coffee was excellent. Everything described above including mashed potatoes, one dessert, one bar drink, and two soft drinks was $271 including tip. Yes it's expensive, but it's fine dining. White tablecloth. The Capital Grille seems like a good place for a business dinner or an upscale date when you want great food and great service, and you don't want kitchy distractions like dancing waters or an eye-catching flambé at a nearby table. Had our office Christmas dinner here and we loved it! The place is so beautifully decorated. The staff is fantastic, making recommendations and answering questions. We started with the Crab and Lobster Cake which the kitchen made into 4 small ones so we each had our own. We also shared the Prosciutto-Wrapped Mozzarella with Vine Ripe Tomatoes and OMG! So so good! We had the Doli Martini and it was delicious! If you like pineapple it's a must have! I had the Sliced Filet Mignon with Cipollini Onions, wild Mushrooms and Fig essence, wonderful flavor and the perfect amount of food. The rest of the staff had the Dry Aged Porterhouse, the 16oz bone in Filet Mignon and the Pan Seared Sea Bass and it was all very good. We shared sides of Soy Glaze brussels sprouts, Lobster mac & cheese, Au Gratin Potatoes and wild mushrooms. While I enjoyed most of the sides I do have to say that the Au Gratin Potatoes weren't my favorite, they were to hard and not creamy enough. So I'd definitely pass on them next time. Now for the start of the show! The Capital Grille Cheesecake! It's a most! So delicious I would go just for dessert! read more
This place is a good option for a nice family dinner. Service was very good our waitress (I wish I could remember her name) was very friendly and knowledgeable in everything and answered every question. The food was good too some things were better than others. We really liked the fries and tuna tartare! I wish the drinks were stronger as well but I love how they showcase the drink menu! The ice cream trio was good too I really liked one of the flavors but can't remember what it was called. I would come back again to try them out again with my family! read more
We got a side of the Parmesan risotto which was a huge portion, and delicious! It was seriously a full meal, and very good! Also got the shrimp salad that came with a very tasty dressing avocado, and the works. This is a great place to get dinner before heading to the Burbank airport. read more
