I went in for the Lobster Indulgence experience recently and sat at the bar so that I could take advantage of the filet mignon sliders that they only offer during happy hour in the bar area. Unfortunately, both items were overcooked. The filet mignon was not pink, but gray, and the lobster tail was tough and chewy. There really was no excuse for the kitchen overcooking either item as it was very early and there were no other customers. Both items should've been PERFECT. I was so looking forward to the experience and left a little disappointed. What a shame. The saving grace was the service. Megan was FANTASTIC. Granted, it was early so she wasn't busy, but she was friendly and welcoming from the start. She was very attentive and catered to my every need. It definitely helped to soften the disappointment. I ate at Morton's recently as part of a business presentation and was pretty happy with the meal. Since I'm sure the company organized this meal in a specific way, my experience may not be indicative of how things usually are, but the food was pretty good and the service was attentive as well. We were started off with some onion buns, which were warm and fresh. I opted for a wedge salad, and could tell the lettuce was very fresh though I did wish it had more toppings on it. For my entree I got the lobster ravioli, which I thought was great. I could definitely taste the lobster (and there were big chunks of lobster on top as well) and the sauce had a really nice truffle cream flavor it. The meal also came with some mashed potatoes, asparagus, and creamed corn, which were all fine but didn't particularly stand out. We were seated in a private area but the restaurant itself looked very nice and fancy. Parking might be a little hard to find--it's underground and right across the street from Whole Foods, and Morton's validates about $4 so the total comes out to about $8.50. It was an onion egg bread which was super fluffy on the inside and had a nice crust & sprinkled onion on top. To start we got the waygu dumplings which were amazing! Had to show up for the Morton's X Veuve Cliquot bubbled and bites dinner. What a fun concept. Of course they did not have the advertised branded containers but they did warn us when we got there. First off, we sat down and the bartender did not acknowledge us for at least 10-15 minutes we sat there. She was busy though so I guess there's that but she never acknowledged us the entire time we were there. Someone else who was hustling back and forth finally checked on us and she was super nice despite being a busy lady, I appreciate the effort. We asked the bartender for a second drink after 2 hours and she looked bothered that we asked for help. The audacity, to ask a bartender for a drink. My cherry blossom martini kinda tasted like bubblegum medicine but maybe I just ordered poorly for my tastebuds. I'm not very picky, it just wasn't my thing. Mortons is great for special occasions. It is a great place to get all dressed up for. We had a reservation and were seated at the exact same table as before. The tables in the middle are close together. Dont be afraid to talk to the table next to you. I was not a fan of their brussel sprouts. I would not order them again. What I would order is the loaded baked potatoe. It is sliced in half so it is great to share. The ribeye is delicious. I am the type who likes it well. They always butterfly cut mine and comes out so good. Service is always good. Drinks are strong. Expect to spend $200-$250 for two. I am a fan. read more

I feel like I could just copy and paste my last review from the DineLA dinner we had here last year! Man! It was soooo good! The bread, the sides, the steaks! The desserts!!! So so good. First time trying Morton's. Most of the reviews on Yelp are spot on. Great service, nice atmosphere, but the food overall isn't spectacular for the prices that they are charging. Don't get me wrong, all of our sides and appetizers were good, but just didn't hit the "wow" level. The shrimp cocktail came closest to being a "wow" in my opinion because of the large size of the shrimp, as well as the excellent flavor of their cocktail sauce that came with it. We shared the 16 oz boneless rib eye steak. Typically in other upscale steakhouses, the traditional rib eye steak is a more well marbled cut. Perhaps we were just unfortunate to get a leaner cut, so even though it was only cooked to medium, it was a bit on the tough side. The potatoes au gratin weren't bad, and neither were the truffle fries and broccolini. At the beginning of the meal, they offer complementary bread and whipped butter. I believe for this price point, most patrons would expect a higher level of quality for their food overall. I'm not opposed to returning, but wouldn't be my first go-to restaurant for a nice steak, especially since I drove 40 minutes to get to the restaurant. read more

Had dinner at the Burbank, CA location. I had one guest. We ordered from the DineLa 2026 menu. Our server was Robyn. The food and ambiance was a classy steak house, but not stuffy. We had an early reservation at 5:00. Very tasty food and the grill person really knows how to get steaks to the right temperature. Excellent food and service Morton's is known for. Yesterday, we ate here for my mom's birthday. We got here at 5:17 pm. We had to wait a little in order to be seated. Pictures dotted the wall, probably of customers. Jazz music played through the speaker. The walls were black and gray. The waitress offered wine from a winery. Some employees might be wearing jeans. One employee poured wine for us. The bread was soft and fluffy. Onions were inside since it's onion bread but it's not overpowering. I'm not sure what the brown stuff is on top of the bread but it might be burned onions. The bread leaves crumbs everywhere but the waitress cleaned the crumbs up with a knife or tool. I ordered from the Memorial Day dinner menu. The chopped house salad was good. I like how avocado was incorporated into it. It's interesting how bacon was included in it because not many steakhouses include bacon on salad. I love how fresh the veggies are. The asparagus was so crunchy. I love how juicy and savory the pork chop was. The waitress asked me how I wanted it and I said medium rare. The rest of the party told me I should've ordered it medium because it's unsafe to eat pork at medium rare. I then called the waitress and apologized to her asking if I could change it to medium. She said that was fine and it's high quality pork. The cook would cook it how the customer wants it. The sauce au poivre made it taste even better. The seasonal cheesecake was pretty sweet. I think it was plain but it had sliced strawberries. The top layer was pretty crunchy. My brother and dad ordered the prime bavette steak but received filet mignon instead. I usually sit at the bar where I find the service to be excellent. I went to redeem my birthday reward and they topped off my meal with a dessert of my choice. I was there during power hour for reduced price cocktails, and although it is not on the list, they will do martinis at the happy hour price. I had the Ora King Salmon which comes with broccolini and baby carrots. This is definitely a favorite, the salmon is tender and flaky. The carrots and broccolini are firm to the bite. I used to go to the location on La Cienega, which has since closed but don't mind making the extra drive here since the experience is always a great one. But my lady surprised me and brought me out and I was very blown away by just how much they stepped their game up since I've last been in. They decorated the table with birthday bling. The service was very prompt. Though we came early and were pretty much alone. But even as customers began to fill in the tables all around us I didn't notice any slower attention. Ribeye was cooked perfectly, the lobster mashed potatoes almost kicked my teeth out. The potatoes were puréed and buttered and seasoned wonderfully. Even the crème brûlée was outstanding. Steakhouses aren't reinventing the wheel at all but occasionally you do find some that smooth out their rough edges and turn into a real jewel. This location sits inconveniently located at the bottom of a commercial building with very limited parking. To be honest I almost missed it directly across from Whole Foods. The restaurant is upscale and the service was excellent but the food took a long time despite it being very early for dinner. The good; service was top notch shout out to Brenda for taking great care of us, the steak was delicious and so were the veggies. Loved the Labor Day special of a prix fixe meal with 3 courses and MANY options--soup or salad starter, steak, shrimp, salmon, lobster choices for main dishes and dessert at the end. Disappointed is an understatement. Went there during Dine LA week and when we were seated, no Dine LA menu was to be found. We had to ask for it and our waiter had to get it from somewhere. I wanted the lobster bisque and they were out. My friend wanted the pork chops and they were out. The waiter said they didn't expect to be that busy. It was only 7pm! Okay, that's a bad sign. I instead got the French onion soup, which was lukewarm. The cheese on top was cold and the bread inside was totally soggy. My friend ordered a wedge salad and he waited for over 5 minutes and finally had to ask a passing busboy for some crushed black pepper for his salad. I ordered the onion rings as a side, which was tasty, but burnt. Having to pay almost $100 per person with drinks and upgrades, I really expected more. After dinner, there were at least 10 of us waiting at the empty hostess station waiting to get our tickets validated. Please do better. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I didn't even get a chance to eat. I went into the bar area just after 4:00 PM for the filet mignon day special right when they opened. The bar area was not even a third full when I arrived, so I sat myself down. I then waited almost 15 minutes before even being acknowledged. By acknowledged, I mean I was finally given water and a table setting, but no waitstaff bothered to take my order. Meanwhile, multiple groups who arrived after me sat down and received immediate attention and service.  After another five minutes passed--bringing my grand total to 20 minutes of waiting--I walked out. There was no way I was willing to continue wasting my time, even though I have partaken in this special a couple of times in the past and really enjoyed it. You would think a high-end establishment like Morton's would maintain better standards, yet the service this time was absolutely awful and a massive turnoff. It is taking a lot for me to not say any other bad things about Morton's right now; I am really holding back. I usually give servers the benefit of the doubt, but this blatant disregard made me as angry as I have ever been when dining out. It was truly that bad and frustrating. read more

I can't believe it's taken me 12+ years to revisit this review, but we've had dozens of visits since my 2013 review. Landry's most assuredly messed things up. The original Morton's experience was always a treat and it went away when Landry's took over. Many missteps later, we've settled in to their way (what other option do we have). The menu is now a bit more diverse, so more options... that's good. Service is usually very good to excellent ( I'm looking at you, Tiffany) and usually great cocktails. Food is usually very good to great, but we've been disappointed with some specials (tomahawk, wagyu), so stick with regular menu. DineLA is an exception. Bar, while not extremely comfortable, offers a nice menu with a few items not available in dining room. Regular menu is available at bar, so it's a good option. Ambiance is nice, but it can get warm... especially if you're near the kitchen. Just a note. Unfortunately, they don't enforce dress code, and some diners are dressed for Taco Bell. :/ Still, highly recommended. read more

We let them know it was our parent's anniversary and they had the table beautifully decorated and a congratulatory welcome card announcing their anniversary. Beautiful touch. Our appetizers were Seared Ahi tuna and Wagu beef dumplings and Bacon wrapped scallops. Our favorite was the tuna. Our Tomahawk steaks were perfectly cooked. We had King crab legs that melted in your mouth. Our sides were creamed corn and scalloped potatoes and they were delicious. The only thing that could have been better was that we ordered creamed spinach but were served sautéed spinach and mushrooms. I was disappointed since I really wanted what I ordered. Love a happy hour and had been hearing great things about Mortons and decided to check it out - was rushing to get there before 6pm for their "Power Hour" we arrived at 6:20pm and were bummed we missed it only to learn their happy hour goes til 630! A win! The bar are was pretty quiet - we opted to sit in one of the round high tops instead of the bar area. Service was great, we quickly picked out our food and drink options to get it in before the 630pm mark. The food serving was generous -was weren't able to finish it all. We got the sliders, chicken sliders, onion rongs and thin truffled fries. The sliders included 4 of them - this was great as we were a party of four the chicken sliders only had 3 - would have loved to have had one extra one. The onion rings were cooked to perfection and the fries were so thin and yummy! Service was fast and so nice - there are some TVs in the area as well so it was fun to take in the game as well that was going on the screen - it was a Monday night so pretty quiet - making it easy to converse with each other.
