Went for the first time on Tuesday for the lunch and pool special. Carlos checked me in and had me set up to play quickly. Told me not to sleep on their pizza, and he was absolutely correct. The old fashioned I ordered was also excellent. As far as the billiards, this one of the most well set up places I've been to. Tables are spaced out nicely, so you almost can't run into someone at the adjacent tables. House cues line the room and are within feet of any table. Clearly, they take good care of the tables and cues here. Guest count was pretty low, but it was also a lunch hour on a weekday. There are bar-height tables and stools located near every table as well. Makes it feel like you've got a little bit of space dedicated to your table. Curious if it still feels that way during busy hours. Overall, the service was great, the food was tasty, my drink was well-balanced, tables are managed really well, and the general setup is lovely. Carlos was very attentive, helpful, and super polite. I would definitely come back again for a busy night. BRING ID. Is a pretty cool place to hang out. I and my friend usually come here every now and then to catch a game of pool. I usually grab a beer, and we chit-chat and game. This is pretty cool during the week or early in the day when the price is just 7 bucks an hour and it is not that crowded. On the weekends and late after 6 pm the price increases to about 20 bucks an hour, and it gets busy. Although it is not crazy crazy busy, it is still enough for the waitresses to not be able to keep up. On my last visit it took 25 mins into my hour for a waitress to show up and take my drink order, and that's only because I flagged someone down and asked why no one had shown yet. They are supposed to go around all pool tables and take orders. I saw multiple pass by us and take other orders but never took ours. This was pretty disappointing. I've had good experiences here before, but usually before 6 pm. This was my first time coming at 7 pm and dealing with this, and I am not a fan. Josh, the energetic and charismatic host of Fantasia, was the most accommodating and welcoming host I've ever come into contact with in the downtown Burbank area. He feels like a best friend you haven't seen in a long time who makes you feel at home after a long day at work. As a local employee to the downtown Burbank region, Josh makes me feel like at home every time I come in after a long shift. Fantasia is the best, bar none, billiards hall I've ever been to. It's a favorite of ours, and we try to make it in there at least once a month or so. Not because we're any good! It's just an all around great experience. First of all, they have over twenty full-sized tables (I mean, who likes those little ones?), all with excellent lighting, pool cues readily available, and bridges at each table. But additionally, there's indoor and outdoor dining tables, and quite a wide selection of food and drinks. Standard American pub fare for the most part, a good selection of beers, and cocktails as well I believe. The atmosphere is really nice. The lighting is subdued, the decor is very cool, there's a full bar near the front, and there's always music playing, but not too loud. The servers are always very nice, and attentive. Be sure to tip yours as she will likely take good care of you. So whether you're looking for good food and people watching (outdoor tables), a sit down dining in a pub type experience (indoor tables), or munching on appetizers and downing some frosty ones while you play a couple of games, Fantasia has it all. PRO TIP: Tables along the walls of the pool hall will afford you with chairs and tables/ledges for your food and drinks that you won't have to compete/share with neighboring tables. Tables in the middle of the hall are a bit of a free-for-all. PRO TIP 2: Fantasia has a digital jukebox! Download the app, load up some $$$, and get your tunes on. Here's the tip though: some people come in and load up the tunes so heavily with their own songs that you'll pretty much never hear yours. The pool tables are in nice condition and some have been recently re-felted. That aspect is fine. But they FAIL in one category. I was there a couple of weeks ago and every table was filled, so obviously they are doing well enough to TURN ON THE AC! We've had a huge heat wave in L.A. and it was oppressively hot inside to the point of distraction and wanting to leave. Although it's 21+ They allowed us a couple of early hours for our son's 18th Birthday with a few friends and though they have a spectacular VIP Room, we opted for the Main floor to make the boys feel like they were part of the action. Waitress had an easy shift and based on these reviews it seems that all the waitresses there aren't good at their job and show that they hate it. Ball boy is too confused to do his job and reacts with his own emotions when told what service the customer is asking which in this case was asking for some 8balls for out table. crazy. you got 1 job bro step it up how can you be so incompetent with that kind of job. Perfect place to watch the superbowl halftime show this year! This spot has always been decent but I guess Bad Bunny hurt one of management's feelings. Normally you can queue ANY song on the jukebox through the touch tunes app and have it play, but unfortunately for some of us you're no longer able to play any latino music anymore lol. A friend and I came here after dinner to shoot some pool. It is a nice clean establishment with a ton of pool tables that are spread out sufficiently and in excellent shape. On a Wednesday night, there was zero wait for a table and the rates are reasonable. There are a lot of TVs playing various sports and they play really great rock and roll music that isn't too loud. They have a large full bar with a lot of beers on tap also. We ordered some buffalo wings which were very good. The servers were very friendly and food and drinks came out quickly. serves ignored us for over 35 minutes, while they severed tables across and next to us multiple times, despite trying to get attention for help. no water, no menu, nothing. only got help when asked to speak to manager. server said she was not wearing contacts and couldn't see us. manager wasn't very helpful either due to owner restrictions on them. when finally getting help, asked for a non alcoholic drink, because i'm on medication & could have a serious reaction. she gave me a regular drink even though she took my previous clearly labeled 0% alc drink just a couple minutes before. instead of comping the item and expressing their deep concerns. they just changed the receipt and eagerly charged me without the regard of the serious implications that could have occurred from me drinking that drink and having a severe medical reaction. very unprofessional staff, if you value your time and life. reconsider this place. They weren't busy for a Tuesday night so we were able to get a pool table quick. The waitress we had was amazing, she kept checking in with us and made sure we were having a good time. They check your driver license here before you can come in so be aware you need a physical card and not on your phone. They also don't allow outside drinks as well. Unfortunately, this establishment racially profiled me and denied my entering based on the way I look. I am a Puerto Rican living in LA, and I walked up to the bar... as always, I was kind to the doorman and said "hello!" and proceeded to show him my ID. He then said "I was watching you from far away and I think I saw you stumbling, so you can't come in here tonight." My girlfriend and I looked at each other with shock... I didn't say anything, nor do anything that would prompt that sentence, nor was I stumbling or previously drinking. My girlfriend then said kindly "We're just looking to play a game of pool". And the doorman turned me away once again. I wish I get could the interaction on security footage because the entire exchange was truly disheartening and completely unjustified. The only reasoning we could muster as to why this happened is that I was racially profiled and turned away for the way I look. The doorman must have had some deeply rooted baggage towards people who look like me, and I unfortunately was at the receiving end of his unjustified hatred tonight. I've come here multiple times, I've spent $500+ in beer, pool tables and jukebox requests. Honestly, I'm embarrassed for them and I will not be back. If you're reading this and on the fence as whether to come... if you do get the doorman in the picture, I would suggest recording your interaction with him, just for your own safety. Or... just visit nearby bars instead such as Yard House (open til 2), Sushi Stop (open til 12), or Barney's Beanery (open til 2am), which are all 4 minutes walking distance from this place. I should've read the yelp reviews before coming here. We experienced poor service and waitresses basically begging for their tip as well as derogatory comment from this white bald guy checking ID at the front entrance. 1. Service was so wack, waitress that introduced herself as our waitress never once came to check on us until we had to flag her down after 20 min to order and then once when last calls for kitchen orders. At the end she said she was going to charge the tip and we said zero. Why am I going to give tip to someone who didn't do anything just brought out one plate of food and didn't provide customer service. She even came up to the females of the group and asked how the service was. Girl your reaching fr. 2. Then at the end the bald white guy with a snow white goatee who was checking ID as we were leaving has the audacity to tell my bf "you should tell your hyna to get you a wallet". It felt so derogatory like why was there any need to use the word hyna and not gf or girl or lady. It made me laugh cause he probably felt like he did his big one with that.
