I was looking for a new sports bar to try out and selected this place since it was the first up on yelp as being one of the closest to me. The place is definitely hidden in plain sight and while they have a decent sized sign, it kind of gets lost in the surrounding visual, but since I was slowing down, I was able to see it and pull into the parking lot. Definitely the quintessential 'hole in the wall' place in visual and vibe. For a Sunday first NFL game of the day it was a very light crowd so I didn't stay much longer than one beer, but I can definitely see it having a local following of the blue collar businesses that are plentiful in the area. I stopped by The Scene for a drink on April 24 and had a pretty disappointing experience. Josh was the bartender on shift. At first, everything seemed normal, but after a few minutes, I started to notice some troubling behavior. Josh appeared to treat customers very differently based on whether or not they tipped him. I witnessed him rudely tell off a customer who questioned a charge on their credit card, saying something along the lines of "go fuck off, you don't even tip, you can't drink anymore." That kind of behavior is completely unprofessional. Tips are appreciated, but they're not mandatory--especially not a requirement for basic respect. It also seemed like Josh only prioritized regulars or those who tipped well. New customers were ignored or served with a bad attitude. It was clear he plays favorites and doesn't provide good service across the board. Overall, I left with a bad impression. I just don't like the blonde lady there she's really rude and if you give her your card to open your tab she will literally give herself a tip so please be careful and just get your drinks and pay. The young Latinx bartender was rude--he saw us walk in and sit down at the end of the bar...he did not acknowledge us, and even tuned his back and leaned on the bar to have a cozy conversation with some jaina. The Scene is by far one of the most awesome dive bars around - And in one of the most random locations too. The entire ceiling is covered in money, a variety of denominations signed by the tippers. You'll even find a handful of bras hanging about, they too are signed by the previous owners. The vibe is contagious. Everyone is having a good time and very social I must admit most of the good vibes are radiating off of bartender/owner Doc. That's as much as i can say because there are not many words that accurately describe him. Drinks are cheap,like $4 or $5 and ridiculously strong. The only downside is the crowd can get a little young and sloppy on the weekends, but during the week you'll mostly find regulars who tend to fall into the over 30 crowd. The Scene. Your friendly neighborhood dive bar where majority of it's crowd are local residents who come to socialize and drink, obviously! I find it odd that I don't visit this place too often when this place is just a couple miles away from me. Even though I don't visit this place too often, I always have a good time here. The decor is very unique and the drinks are inexpensive. Not much to complain about this place. Only thing I did have trouble with was getting the bartenders attention when I first got there. If you don't know these bartenders on a personal level like the rest of the locals do, then you might have slight trouble getting their attention for service. Other than that, it's a chill little spot where you come out just to hang out and have some drinks. I would recommended to come in advance for seating. Parking here is very limited and everyone tends to double park in the very small parking lot of the bar. If you decide to park on the street, make sure to read the street signs before hand. My interaction with the owner was great. This guy is very interesting and seems to have a great sense of humor. I'll be back soon. read more

As a bonus free self serve popcorn. Decent beer and draft selection with full bar liqs. For decor, the place is adorned with dollar bills on the ceiling along with bras. I didn't notice anyone in attendance take theirs off while I was there although there were a bunch of dudes at the time.
