We are the champions!!!! World Series celebration marg before I board my 1a flight, enjoy the parade LA
    Candace L.

No better way to celebrate our World Series WIN than margs and dinner with the parentals before my red eye flight out of LA. My parents like this spot! I'd never been but I've rarely met a marg and enchiladas that didn't do me right. I'm honestly in disbelief that I'm still a one and done gal even at this weight. I look like I ate the old me for a snack but half a marg here and I'm turnt. Service was great! We came in after the game, grabbed dinner and drinks and were on our way. My parents are the cutest, they always go halfsies. My mom picks what she wants, my Dad acts like it's exactly what he wanted and just agrees to get it. Then they share with me. Their garlic fish dish entree was exceptional. If I tried something else my memory is blurred from the tequila. Oh yes! Their salad, they usually get fish and a salad or veggie. Whatever salad we had was great. I forget what it was, maybe a Caesar with protein atop (that sorta rings a bell). I mean we just won the fuc*ing WORLD SERIES, BACKTOBACK at that so expecting me to remember anything other than our double play would just be crazy. I paid the bill and we bounced. Would def recommend, because any place my parentals like is a win in my book. Loved the lamps, those I remember.

We were craving Mexican food and visited this restaurant. My wife and I have been here a couple of times before. They have a very deep menu with a variety of different entrées. The inside of the restaurant has a feel of old Mexico, Adobe . I ordered the chicken taquitos with a chicken, tamale and beans. The taquitos were crunchy. The chicken was shredded and adding the lettuce and the salsa dip along with guacamole made it all come together. The tamale had green sauce and was a bit spicy, at least for me. It was a bit dry and more on the dense and heavy side. I've had tamales that my mom and Aunt would make and they prepared the MASA so that was light and fluffy. But to each their own. My wife ordered the Carne Asada plate. Right away she knew the meat was going to be tender and it was. They seasoned it with their own spices and to me. It was a flavorful taste as my wife shared a little piece with me. The cheese enchilada is exactly that total cheese, so if you like that, then I would recommend it. The chips that they serve with the sausage dip were freshly made and crunchy. All in all, this is a Mexican food restaurant that I will try again. Some of the things that I enjoyed were, the seats were not too soft and not too firm. The tables gave you enough privacy. I like the fact that you can order from a menu as opposed to a screen hanging on the wall in front of the counter. The staff was a bit slow but then again it was a slow day at the restaurant as we and two other guests were the only ones present they did not have music playing, although my wife has said that they sometimes do. Their bar area has several big screen TVs and we're showing the Los Angeles Dodgers versus the Los Angeles Angels baseball game. I will return because I want to try their menudo!!

This is my go to Mexican spot in NoHo. While a lot of people go to salsa and beer, I feel like that place isn't quite what it used to be. At Tequilas, the prices are still pretty reasonable, with most meals under $15, and the portions are generous for that price. I got the torta for $12.99, and it came loaded with fries, so much food that I could barely finish it. The torta itself wasn't bad. My wife had the enchiladas, which I didn't try, but she swears they're great. That said, there are a few drawbacks. The service can be slow, today, there were only three of us in the restaurant, and it still took about 40 minutes to get our food, which isn't unusual. And unfortunately, we've had some encounters with rude staff in the past. Once, we had a server who gave us attitude the entire time, and we had to request a new server. I think she still works there, though we haven't had issues with her since. We're just cautious now. Overall, we enjoy the food, but the service is hit or miss. I'd rate it 3 stars, but it's closer to 3.5.

Absolutely loovvveeee this place! They always decorate right now it's currently filled with beautiful Christmas trees and overall great ambiance. The flower decorated lights that hang over the tables are beautiful and the food and service is the best. I've been craving their enchiladas ever since my wisdom teeth removal and after fully healing I finally came here to enjoy some and am never disappointed.

My go to spot for some Mexican food in the valley. The prices aren't even bad for all quality food you get. Salsa is really good . Love the rice and beans are all made fresh & authentic Mexican restaurant

Beef on the Rocks with shrimp

We love this place. What's extra special is a dish I haven't seen at any other L.A. Mexican restaurants: Beef On The Rocks (with shrimp for us). A delicous bowl of strips of beef, strips of cactus, shrimp and cheese in a wonderful sauce that the cheese melts in. So good and so original. Great service too.

    Shrimp Fajitas
    Sara S.

Barely got any shrimp, more onions than anything else no flavor, I was very disappointed! For $20 not worth it the waiter was very sweet though. Salsa & Beer down the street would've filled my plate!

Marvelous atmosphere, attentive service, and delicious quality food, enjoyed with gratitude. I often come here with friends and family and each time is exquisite. I've enjoyed 4 delectable entrees shown in my photos and 1 dessert.

This is a nice little place to eat the food was good but they do need work on service we had to keep ask for more chips and salsa as we were waiting for our meals at other restaurants we never have to ask they keep it full at all times that includes our drinks.

I have to prepare myself when I come here & I also prepare my friends (which end up telling me they did not expect it to be THAT Loud, so heads up, it really is.) I usually enjoy the patio here because it is much more quiet (youre able to hear your friends talking to you) & thankfully, it's available, or I'm not sure I would come here. Also, telling your order to the bar tender means that she can't hear you either, which is super fun to just scream at each other back & forth if thats what you're into. They don't have my favorite IPA on draft, but they have some good options for beers. I do love that they carry local brews -- they have mostly STONE, Golden Road & like, one Firestone (which is usually what I prefer.) They have some cocktails, so for girlypops that prefer those, this is a pretty solid place for variety in drink styles & thereby groups of people. I'm not sure if they have a car park in the back, actually, I usually find street parking right away, & there is a crosswalk right near the business if needed.

Unfortunately, this morning's brunch was disappointing. I had the Elevated Avocado Toast (description on menu: Our dough with house seasoned avocado spread caprese: topped with diced tomatoes and mozzarella pearls). There was nothing elevated about this toast. It was a basic bread slightly toasted, barely enough avocado spread to cover each piece of toast. Plus, the avocado spread tastes premade from a bag, not fresh. There were more onions than tomatoes. The "mozzarella pearls" was regular mozzarella that was chopped up. I added eggs on top, sunny side up, they were cold. My husband had the Three Eggs Any Style (description: Served with 2 strips of bacon and homestyle fried potatoes with onions). He was given the wrong potatoes. The kitchen gave him papa freitas instead. The pancakes were decent. Our waitress was lovely as usual. We somehow always get the same waitress when we go. I hope they can use this as a learning opportunity for the future. We will be sticking to their dinner menu for now on.

Sherman Oaks is gritty and the section of Ventura Boulevard that houses TLP is almost brutalist in its anti-establishment aesthetic. You would never know it was here if you didn't either live in the neighborhood or seek it out as I did. It is sandwiched between a completely non-descript place that I didn't even look at and a crystals shop with grafitti-etched windows (unfortunately!) but some really cool beads. Inside is the same -- no frills, a dress-down and survive-if-you-dare vibe. My pictures will illustrate what I mean. Nevertheless, the friendly service (shout out to our server, Patrick), the menu, and the quality of the food are well worth it. Again, see what we ordered in the photos attached. Everything was delicious. The floor, tables, and chairs were all clean. There is some kind of post-apocalypse rhumba going on with the ceiling treatment. It is almost reverse-logic art with all the shading (stains? velour movement?) and utilitarian installation it reveals. Love the walls though, and the worn distressed wood everywhere (see the pix, folks). A bonus was watching the Masters (Patrick let us linger) and sitting by a giant window that was open to the street. Parking is up a block or so on either side. We always find safe spots in Sherman Oaks. The music seemed to be one CD of an unknown (to me) vocal artist and was pleasant. The crowd was friendly and the whole atmosphere was like one big homey grunge party. You know those mornings you fall out of bed and almost don't want to change out of your pajamas or yoga threds? This is the place to go. I loved it. (NOTE: You may have to refresh this page twice to see my pictures, for some reason. grrrrrr)
