We just happened to stop by before the set up. The place is small but cozy. It was a dark and moody vibe but nice. There's a bar along the main wall which why we stopped by. Grabbed a couple of beers and sat outside. It's along a busy street which was nice people watching. Didn't have any food but the menu did look nice. Just from what we experience, it was good. Obviously the beer was a perfect pair to a relaxing night. People watching was great touch too. As the dj was finishing setting up the crowd did start to arrive. I'm not sure how often that happens. The ESW salad came with lots of good, fresh, healthy, vegetables. They are: field greens, avocado, heirloom tomatoes, red onion, corn, grilled asparagus, hothouse cucumber, edamame, crispy tortilla strips, cashews and vinaigrette dressing, I opted for ranch and no cashews. $18.00 for the salad, and there was a price difference by $6.50 in the Truffle burger. They charged me $28.50 for our burger, when on their website it says $22.00. I am not going to dock a star for that, but they need to get the price right. Is it $28.50 or is it $22.00.? Food tasted fresh, healthy, not oily, and not salty. It was pretty good and the portions were fair. Not too big and not too small.Very filling though. Our burger came with shoe strings fries, which was good and they charged an additional$2.00. Sangria was not too strong and had a good kick to it, and it was pretty refreshing. $9.00. Great live music. Bands name was BARRY BIG B. BRENNER. Great musicians and they truly delivered for 2 hours straight. Ambiance was cool, chill, dim lights, interior of the restaurant was wood. Tables/chairs, mirrors on the walls, art work of many different kinds, candles on the tables, a nice bar, cute, small patio outside, clean restroom and last but not least a great service by Vivian and Karla. Vivian had a very good vibe, upbeat energy which what I was looking for.Karla had a sweet smile that was pleasant. It was not crowded at all for a Friday night. So we kind of went with our own pace. The name Stanley always reminds me of Mr. Roper from Three's Company, and that combined with the story my dad was regaling us with about a job he once had nearby in Sherman Oaks had me thinking about old times. I wasn't reminiscing, because I wasn't alive during this halcyon days of L.A. yore, but there's a very specific feeling that places like Stanley's give me. The food is very good. I don't remember what I had, but all three of us devoured our meals and were very happy and full for the remaining trip up the 101 to Morro Bay. Ordering is easy, just go to the bar, place your order (check the paper menus by the register first), open a tab and they'll give you a number to put on your table. Wait for your food to arrive and enjoy! Don't forget the beers! For food, our go to is always their pizza (check out the cheese pull in my photos) and fougasse. Our kids love the pizza and plain curly fries. Chicken wings and their Caesar salad is good too! We miss the panna cotta they used to have. They were delicious! The cookies are a good substitute for that sweet craving after a meal. Parking can be difficult and stressful at times to find a spot. You'll have to drive around to find one. They have parking in front of the brewery, but it's VERY limited. We Uber with friends and family sometimes to avoid the stress of finding parking. Upon arriving at the venue restaurant immediately, you could tell that parking was gonna be an issue. We purposefully scheduled an early reservation in hopes of getting parking however, my friend ended up, dropping off me and her mother while she go search for parking. When my Aunty and I walked into the restaurant. We didn't really get a great welcome as a matter, fact, I would say that the staff was acting quite cool towards us even considering it was St. Patrick's Day and it should be a celebratory kind of mood at the very least a fun vibe. There were some issues with our reservation because I wasn't sure if my friend made it online or she called the restaurant so there was some confusion when we checked in. They asked us if we wanted a table or a booth and I asked for a table and they took us by the table close to the kitchen. I generally hate sitting by the kitchen as there's a lot of noise coming from the kitchen and a lot of traffice bit when the Host saw my Aunty's walker he wanted to tuck us in the corner. He said it would be the best spot for us. I hate sitting by the kitchen but when I asked to move he mumbled something about the walker being out of the way and they were full with reservations. I didn't like that answer but the dining room was tight and my Aunty was standing so I told her to sit down.
