My stepfather and mother have never had fried pickles, (they're from the UK) AND with Ranch, and they about lost their minds! It looks like your proper Irish-American pub, the bartender (maybe owner, manager?) That guy is from Dublin and he was amazing. Street parking, (not sure if there's a private lot, I think there might be but we found street parking right away.) If you're a sport fan, I would highly recommend visiting this location. They have large TV's that you can watch the games. For food, I can say everything was amazing. I ordered chicken tenders and wings which were really good. They tasted good and wings were perfectly seasoned. No complaints about the food. Drinks were good too. For service, it's like any other bar. Food is ordered at the bar and servers bring it to the table. On the night I visited it was kind of busy, so it took while for us to get our food which was not a big deal. For ambiance, this location was nicely decorated. There was map of Ireland hanging on the wall and I noticed they had Ireland flag too which made it more authentic. Restroom was clean too. My rating would be 2.5 stars if such an option were available, as it's an average of two experiences. The first was a 4 and the second was barely a 1. First visit 4 stars: Bartender was Moses. Service was prompt and friendly. His attentiveness was particularly impressive because the place was packed. Band was above-average for a cover band. Second visit barely 1 star: Bartender was an Irish dude. The place was almost empty and still service was wanting. Slow and not friendly. Food was disgusting. Burger was practically raw and mushy. Fries were oversalted. Prices outrageous. Band was incredibly loud (and not good). No one was dancing. Many patrons asked the bartender to have the band turn down their amps. Bartender refused. Many patrons left after the first set. My tip reflected the experience. Walking in and walking out, I had to pass through a cloudy stench of cigarette smoke right by the front door, that had me coughing all the way to my car. I will not return. read more

Great old school Irish bar. One of my old Time dart bars. The service here is always great. The bartenders are awesome. They have a good selection of beers and full bar can never go thirsty here. A friend invited me to come join her for some live music here, and since I'd never been and I love an Irish pub, I jumped at the chance. I ate beforehand because I wasn't sure if they had any food and I have dietary restrictions, but my friend ordered food and we saw other people's plates and everything looked fantastic. Delicious! I have been wanting to come to this place for fish and chips for so long. It was late in the evening and I called in for a pick up but they didn't pick up. I called back a few times and still no one answered. I decided to drive home and my phone rang, and it was Ireland's 32 calling me back! The lady was so kind and patient as I placed my order, fish and chips, onion rings and a black and bleu burger. She told me the pieces of fish were pretty big and she was right! It was fried perfectly and the cod was delicious! The fish tasted really good, but if you are looking for salt, you will have to add it. I like my fish like this way though, dipping in the vinegar, ketchup and tarter sauce which they give you on the side. The burger was really good as well. And the onion rings were yummy, fried well and the onions were soft and crunchy - a perfect combination. A tad bit greasy, but it is bar food - what do you expect. The bar was nice! and they had every kind of beer and alcohol - I don't remember seeing wine but I am sure they had that too. The bartender was really kind and attentive. A band was setting up and he told me they have karaoke on Sundays. They have more then five televisions, all on different sports from basketball and baseball as well as horse racing, it a wide variety. I think I saw a pool table but it was a calm scene, chilled. I have to give another shout out to Ireland's 32 for hitting a massive home run with their Full Irish Breakfast. There are many places in town that serve a full Irish or English to varying degrees of success, but there's no question that this humble pub just West of Burbank and Woodman sits squarely at the very top of the list. Why so good? Well, virtually everything on the plate is made from scratch in house. So, not the fresh eggs or the nicely grilled tomato, but everything else: breakfast sausages, both black and white puddings, the bacon rashers (yes, cured in house), and even the baked beans!! Everything is full-flavored and nicely seasoned, with ingredients like onions and pepper and sage taking center stage; salt is there, but in just the right amount in the background. The baked beans deserve special mention because most blokes would be perfectly happy with traditional canned Heinz beans, the flavor everyone grew up on. But the cooks at 32 take the time to build a far more flavorful, tomato and pepper-forward sauce with bits of onion and other spices that remain a mystery despite being delightful. And you can even taste the actual flavor of the beans, which have maintained their consistency rather than being canned into mushiness. Sweetness comes on the back end, which is a nice departure from the overt sugariness of the Heinz variety, striking a very pleasing balance. Paying such detail to a normally-ignored aspect of the breakfast proves these cooks are really dedicated to pleasing their customers. Ireland's is calm, quiet and comforting in the early hours of the day (they open at 10am on the weekends), with plenty of TV's showing games from across the sports world. My husband really loves this pub! I know it has to get crowded, but everytime we've come by the atmosphere has been chill and calm. They have about 5 tvs around the bar that are constantly playing some sport or major game that is on. There is usually one bartender behind the bar that are personable and always ready to take your order. The best part of this pub though has to be their food. You cannot go wrong with their fish and chips, so good and portions are LARGE. They have a small parking lot in the back but there is usually plenty of street parking. They obviously have Guinness on tap, but they have other beers and also a full liquor bar. read more

Waited more, people are pouring in, space is getting tighter, still no music. Doorman said it would start at 9. Ireland 32: Totally charming dive bar dating back decades is a Van Nuys institution. If you like noise with hyper, screaming harpies, this is the place for you. Bands also become part of the noise scene later in the evening around 9pm so definitely not for people who easily become sensory overloaded. Alan is the amiable, avuncular Bar-t on an early Wednesday evening. I ordered the Dubliner Burger, the most Irish of the burgers at 7:40pm, and got it to my bar seat at 8:10pm. Found out it was well worth the wait. The bun is seared like a brand with the word Dub to distinguish it from the other burgers. Generous, thick beef patty that seems aged full of blood minerality, meaty beefiness. Ordered medium rare so meat is plush, bouncy and not dried out & hard if you go beyond medium. Aïoli/garlicky mayonnaise, grilled tomato, good slice of salty smoky Irish bacon, Dubliner cheese is also smoky with a creamy, milky sweetness. This burger & fries are substantial so it is a meal unto itself. I snuck in home grown Nira/Japanese garlic chives, Italian Arrugula, organic shredded cabbage to add into the hamburger for added refreshing vegetal tones to counter the meatiness. Came with thick skin on potato fries. I ordered crispy, but that thick, it's hard to achieve perfection. Half Guinness & half Harp two layered drink in a pint glass, but for historical reasons, NEVER call it Black & Tan in an Irish Pub! Light & dark combo was a good thirst quencher for the big burger. Ireland 32? Bar itself is 3 stars although for regulars, it seems to be a social lifeline. Perhaps going at 2pm will provide a calmer, less decibelled venue. Est. 1963- As more and more live music venues in the valley are closing their doors for good, Island's 32 has become one of the last and best places to hear live music nightly, and with no cover. Bands play from Tue-Sat, as well as Karaoke on Sundays and Comedy on Mondays. In addition, they have a great menu and the food is excellent. They serve typical pub fare, which is all good, but the Fish & Chips are exceptional - some of the best in town. Cook should have noticed, server should have noticed, bartender should have noticed. I was between errands so I ate it, no time to send it back and wait for another order. He hands you a menu and once you've looked it over you tell him what you want. Then go find a table. I ordered the shepherds pie, which, although absolutely looked like the cook took care in preparing it, was very bland. My husband's cheesesteak sandwich had quite a bit of burned meat, so he couldn't eat much of it. We ordered a Guinness and the appetizer sampler. Our picks were mozzarella sticks, fries, chicken tenders, and the sliders. The Guinness was delicious; the food was mid. All I tasted was salt. No real flavor, just salt. The ambiance didn't feel Irish at all. 80s music was playing. Unless I'm missing something here?? I guess if you haven't been to Ireland or you don't care too much about that kind of thing, maybe you'd love this place.
