BIG fan of this spot! One of our go-to's after any event or shopping in Burbank. They have decent prices on drinks, a solid happy hour, oh and a pretty legit food menu with great vegan options. Oh, and a pool table! Side note, we've never actually played darts here haha but the vibe is very hole in the wall and if you like that you'll probably feel real at home here

A hole in the wall bar that is totally unpretentious and serves mostly vegan pub food??!!! Heck yes!!!!! My husband told me about this place as he's gone there for years, but I'm a newb to Burbank so it was my first time. We went on a Saturday night to watch the Dodgers in the World Series. We were able to get a table and ordered two vegan brats (the Pazour and the Beer brat) and both were so good! We also ordered fries and the fried garbanzos. I had a hefeweizen and a mango wheat ale, both were really tasty! Will def go here for games and other times when we want delish vegan bar food!

"Back in Black!!"... Literally, playing on the jukebox and post night out with friends we were famished. A go to for some of friends is Coral Cafe, but being a Tonys supporter and advocate for well over ten years, I suggested we stop into one of the most welcoming gastropubs in Los Angeles. Tony's Darts Away is a divey chic eatery and beveragery in Burbank, California at/just about at the corner of Magnolia Blvd & Reese Pl. Street parking is plenty in Burbank and a recommended must for TDA. It's still an amazing essential 50/50 menu where anything that can be made can also be made vegan hence the NV and V logos on their always impressive menu. Appetizers aka Snacks... always! The Fried Garbanzo Beans were yum, newer to the menu and we had plenty of them... Along with a basket of hot fresh fries. Feeling extra hot doggy, I had The Classic as well as a Street Meat, veganize perfect. There wasn't much relish on my Classic vegan Frank, but since my friend Adam (one of my two dining buddies) isn't a fan of pickles, he passed them over from his order. Shaun (my other buddy) had the wonderful Banh Mi and Adam went with a Smashburger, which is on my mind for next time, as it's been too long since I enjoyed it. We did a round of Beers (ales) as well as Not Beers (hard seltzers and cider), but the list is extensive... Wine as well. Non-adult beverage selection is pretty good. TDA doesn't do delivery, but they do have pickup orders, plenty of seats that fill up fast, but worth a short wait when they are at peak service for the day. The kitchen closes typically two hours or so before close (9/10PM). Board games, darts, billiards and a digital jukebox... Not to mention multiple monitors with events, sports, and movies for your viewing pleasure. Check out their Insta and/or website for fun events, theme nights and updates... You'll absolutely love Tony's!

I absolutely love Tony's and I can't believe it's taken me this long to write a review. Tony's is a vegan pub that offers non vegan options. That alone is why I love them. Tony's knows what's up. The vibe is super chill and divey which reminds me of several places back home in Chicago. Another reason they have my heart. Tony's is one of those places you order your food at the bar and they bring it to your table. They have a ton of board games on shelves surrounding the tables and they also have a pool table. We either grab a game or bring our own. Good times. Service is always top notch! Friendly, fast and more times than not funny. The food is definitely bar food...think burgers, dogs. fries, wings, nachos, sausages...it's all good and yep greasy which makes it even more tasty. The thing that always cracks me up when I go here is I tend to order wine and they serve it in a glass that says Not Beer. LOL I love that! I just wish they had these glasses for sale! Parking is always a breeze. You can usually find something on the same street. Definitely check them out...bring friends!

I used to visit Tinhorn Flats every so often from 2011-2013, but when they closed in 2021, I needed to find another location for a pint. Tonys Darts Away is nestled next to Three Sisters Coffee & Tea along Magnolia. There's plenty of surrounding street and neighborhood parking. The service is very friendly & attentive.

We love this place!!!! This is my mine and my wife's 'go-to' dive bar. The food is great (the sausages are the best) and the atmosphere is always fun. The manager even stopped by our table when we had a question regarding the 'not beer' glasses. If you find yourself in Burbank, stop on in. You won't be disappointed (oh, and they have free WiFi, too).

The food had some highs and lows. The grilled cheese bites weren't what we expected at all, just a regular grilled cheese sandwich cut into small pieces and served with salsa. That said, the salsa was amazing and honestly saved the dish by adding much-needed flavor to an otherwise bland (though very cheesy) sandwich. The goat cheese salad was disappointing. It was overdressed to the point of soggy lettuce, and the portion felt pretty small for the price. On the brighter side, the garlic fries that came with the buffalo chicken wrap were incredible, full cloves of garlic and really bold flavor. Definitely the standout of the meal. The wrap itself was just okay: decent taste, but small and not particularly appetizing in presentation. Drinks were a win across the board. The guava strawberry cider was delicious, and the hazy IPA was also really enjoyable. Overall, there were some highlights, but not enough to make us eager to come back anytime soo

The front of the building is a little vaguely marked, and the entrance has speakeasy vibes, which was a surprise. Upon walking in the front door, there is some tiki décor and a small counter in the rear. I remember thinking to myself "what the heck, this is it?". I checked in at the host stand on the left, and was handed me a boarding pass. She then led us through a hidden door behind what looked like a shipping crate. We were now in the real Broken Compass. The interior is a good size. The two-sided bar seats around a dozen. There is a lounge side of the bar that has two large booths along the wall, and another area with comfortable looking couches and lounge chairs. The main dining room has some tiki hut booths, and two sections of tables with half booth and half chair. The décor is pretty extensive with a good mix of pirate, nautical, and tiki themes. There is a lot of bamboo, thatch, rope, cargo netting, skulls and skeletons, port holes, octopus tentacles, jellyfish, tiki lights, and more. The ceiling is dark with various nautical and pirate markings, and even tied up ship sails overhead. The tiki hut booths have the parrots from the enchanted tiki room above them. Even the two restrooms are nautical themed, with beach and marine sounds playing. There is a lot of great décor to look at. We arrived around 2pm on a Sunday, so it wasn't very busy yet. By the time we left a few hours later, it was starting to get busy. We decided to sit at the bar. We started out with the buffalo cauliflower ($14) for an afternoon snack. The serving size was generous, and the buffalo sauce had a good tang. It was served with some sauces, and was surprisingly filling. A nice feature of the cocktail menu is that each drink displays one to three compass stars to indicate the strength of the drink. Their cocktails use a great variety of liquors including ones you don't often see. Many of the ingredients are made in-house. I started out with Chupacabra's Vacation (Demerara Rum, Jamacian Rum, Pomegranate Reduction, Cinnamon, Lime Juice, Bitters, two-star boozy rank, $17). It is served with a flaming lime on top and a little fire show. It was balanced with a light booziness, some light pomegranate flavor, and a cinnamon sprinkle on top. She started out with the Bittersweet Paradise (Jamacian Rum, White Rum, Campari, Passionfruit Syrup, Lemon, Lime, Pineapple, two-star boozy rank, $18). It didn't drink boozy at all, and was passion fruit forward, with light bitterness. My second cocktail was the Bermuda Dune Buggy (Gin, Overproof Rum, Kumquat Liqueur, Cassis, Orange, Lime, Bitters, two-star boozy rank, $18). It had a very unique garnish of a Chartreuse infused gummy which was delicious. The drink was nicely balanced, and didn't really drink boozy even with overproof rum in it. They have a rotating monthly cocktail and she tried the Tropic Like It's Hot (Coconut Washed Lemongrass Infused Rum, Mango, Lemon, Coconut Water, Amaro, $17) which was created by one of our bartenders Daniel. It was served in a Spam can and was light and refreshing with a nice pop of fruit at the start, and a very nice coconut flavor. We enjoyed sitting at the bar and had great conversation with our bartenders Daniel and Monica. They also provided excellent service. Broken Compass supports payment with the InKind app which gives you 20% back (10% on Friday and Saturday) in InKind cash. We had a really great time here, and the drinks, food, décor, and atmosphere were excellent. I purchased a Hork (Horse-shaRK) mug for $50 to bring home as a souvenir. We would definitely return again when in the area.
