My husband, I had the most memorable and amazing lunch at the Burbank Smokehouse. We were in the Burbank area for an appointment and decided to go have lunch there. We've heard so much about the restaurant. Walking in you just go back in time. It has a great vibe. Imagine all the famous people that have passed through those doors. We noticed they were very busy for lunch. The bar area looks really cool. Quite a few people in there eating at lunch time. We opted to eat in the main dining area. At some point we will try the bar area. Upon sitting at our half circle booth we had the honor of having George come by our table to bring water. We introduced ourselves and we had so many questions since I've been our first time there. As we got to talk to him we found out he's been at the restaurant for 27 years. Fernando was our waiter and he's been there for 41 years. That definitely says a lot about a restaurant when the employees stay for that many years. I opted to have the fish and chips and my husband had the lunch special, one of the lunch specials offered. He had pork chops with the rosemary mashed potatoes, they were delicious. It was a good sized portion. All the food is there. We can't wait to go back! Looking forward to going back for lunch one of these days soon during the week they have different lunch special. Second time, first time we were totally impressed. Drinks, food, service. Decided to come back within a week to celebrate my son's birthday. We were unfortunately not given the same service. It was the small touches last time that made us come back. The drinks were different, the food was good but again small touches, lastly I made the reservation for my son's Birthday, told them while booking then told them again when we got there. They did not sing Happy Birthday but while walking out we did see another table receive the service. Still an over place to try, if you haven't been. Classic old school restaurant. It's iconic and known to be the place where Hollywood stars go to since there are so many movie studios nearby. We had reservations but it was completely packed on a Monday night. This place must be minting money. The whole restaurant has an old school feel to it. Like something you would see in a Godfather's movie. Dark and loud with classic booths and decor. The food itself was pretty good but nothing that "popped". The garlic cheese bread half order was enough for 4 people to each have a slice with a couple of pieces left over. We jokingly compared it to Sizzler cheese bread. The grilled artichoke had a nice smokey flavor. The Prime Rib with mash potatoes was pretty good too. All in all, it was a good meal and I'm glad we got to experience the iconic restaurant. Not sure I would come back given all of the other great dining options in L.A. I didn't like that there was very little free parking available and valet was $10. I finally got to try the iconic Burbank Smoke House, and it was a very cool experience. We were lucky to find free parking nearby because we were not planning on paying for valet parking. Once we entered, the place had a very old Hollywood vibe. It was like stepping back in time. Once we entered, we let the host know about our reservation, and we were sat in one of their iconic dining booths within 10 minutes, which wasn't too bad of a wait. It was quite busy and understandable as it was a Saturday night. The ambience was dark and romantic, and not pretentious at all. The prices were also quite affordable, which was really nice. Especially if you're on a budget. However, the food was average in my opinion. I would say, it was great for the price, but it wasn't high quality. The service was great. Prompt and attentive. I love it when a place lives up to the hype! I am usually disappointed. When I read the best garlic bread claims, I scoffed. I said, I will be the judge of that! The garlic bread is 5+ stars. It's crispy, cheesy, buttery and garlic all at once. My favorite garlic cheese bread is at Clearmans Northwoods Inn. This is as close as it gets. They are very similar. I appreciate the crispy aspect of this bread. I also love the tang and funk! We got filets, prime rib and stuffed potatoes and cheesy potatoes. The steak was great. I really liked the sauce additions you can add. I did peppercorn which was yummy. My sister did Jack Daniel's sauce. That was good too. We tried 3 desserts. The coconut cake, lemon cake and the chocolate mousse. They were all good. But, the mousse was the best. There is valet parking for 10 bucks. Not a bad price for parking. The prices were very fair. We had a reservation for 6:15 PM and were seated right away in a booth. The restaurant has a classic steakhouse feel with dim lighting and a quieter atmosphere. There wasn't any noticeable music during our visit, which made it easy to have a conversation. Parking is essentially valet only, so that made getting there a bit more difficult. One thing worth mentioning is that the staff came by to take a complimentary photo of our group. It's a nice gesture, but afterward they offer to sell it in a souvenir frame which felt a little salesy. I started with the house Pinot Noir, which was smooth, easy to drink, and reasonably priced compared to the rest of the wine list. For food, I ordered the 8 oz Prime Rib cooked medium rare along with the garlic cheesy bread for the table. The garlic bread was easily my favorite part of the meal. It had a soft, cheesy interior with a crisp, golden crust, and the cheese and garlic were well balanced without feeling too heavy. The prime rib had good flavor and was cooked to the requested temperature. It was juicy overall, though a few bites were a little chewier than I expected. Still, it was an enjoyable steak and satisfying for the portion size. I would recommend this as a date night or special occasion category rather than an everyday dinner. Lemme start by saying that our server, Roberto, was lovely and attentive. The entire wait staff was, actually. No complaints there. The restaurant itself is really nice. Kind of a vibe. Loved the old-timey music playing. The bar looked gorgeous. The food was... ehhhh. Had the famous garlic bread which was nice but not great. The spinach and artichoke dip was actually really good and possibly the best part of the meal. My burger was average. The cole slaw was bland. The BBQ ribs were cold and kinda rubbery. The baked beans were good, but overly sweet. The beers were extra cold and quite nice. All in all, the food is definitely not worth the price. The Smoke House is one of those classic old school steakhouse restaurants. It seems like a time capsule during the heyday of Hollywood. The feel inside is like an old movie set where you would see mobsters or a high powered dinner in the movies, shaking hands and doing deals, vintage red leather booths, low light, Hollywood royalty and movies on the walls, very cool vibes inside. The food here is great, prime rib is excellent, tender, full of flavor, raw horseradish, nothing better. This is what I got the last time I was there, medium rare prime rib, mashed potatoes and veggies, capped off with a piece of cheesecake. Loved it all, no complaints. They have so much on the menu to try and what I have tried, it is all very good. They have a number of various dining areas as well as a full bar and private rooms for functions. I actually had my rehearsal dinner here 25 years ago for my wedding party, it was amazing, private rooms, great service, great food. It only took me 25 years to write a review, ha ha. This is a place where you can dress up and have a great night out, or just casual shirts and a r-shirt and feel just as comfortable there. Came here for the first time for my anniversary dinner. the vibes are super cool and vintage, a lot of black/white photos on the walls The food was not bad, I think that the portions were very good and the prices were good too. The tri tip comes with 2 sides and is a good portion, but we ordered it medium and it looked more medium well. The filet came as we it was ordered (medium rare) and it was well seasoned, it did not need any sauce. I got it with the mashed potatoes, they definitely needed salt/pepper. And the green beans it came with were a little overcooked. The cheesy garlic bread was super yummy! For sure the best thing I ate, the bread was so soft inside while the outside was crunchy. And it had a good garlic flavor The chocolate bundt cake was yummy, not too sweet and the portion was good to share. I love how their martinis come with extra on the side! My High School friend recommended this place. I was definitely game since I LOVE checking out buffets that I haven't been to. This place definitely did not fail!! Open from 10 to 2 PM. We went on a Sunday, so we were lucky to find free street parking. I was surprised that on the other side of the street, it was only free for one hour on a Sunday!! There's a valet if you want to pay. We got there before 10 am and there was a line already. Once we got inside, I definitely noticed the decor and how tasteful this place was. Definitely old school with the leather seats. There were eight of us, so they had to put two tables together. We all got a mimosa. After two, I couldn't drink anymore. The dining area which contained all the food was nicely done. The food all looked good and displayed nicely. There were plenty of salads to choose from, different types of meat (chicken, sausage, ...), LOVED the cheese bread. The Omelette station was GREAT. I LOVED my omelette. The only thing that I would recommend is salsa. The dessert section was good, but I was SO FULL, I couldn't enjoy it very much. I LOVE churro, but I didn't like theirs because it had a filling. The chocolate cookie was pretty good. There's also fruit if you want something healthy. Our dirty plates got taken away fairly quickly. Our mimosa glasses were also filled quickly. The ambience on a scale of 1-10 is an 11 The food is top notch. We started with their famous Garlic cheese bread. It is the absolute bomb. Just so you know it's not the ooey gooey type of cheese but it's fantastic. If you are into Fried pickles then you won't be disappointed, this is another signature dish for the restaurant. I had the Chicken Buena Vista with rice pilaf. The Chicken was perfectly moist the lemon cream sauce was excellent. They were very generous with the Artichoke hearts and mushrooms it was a very filling dish. Hubby got the Cajun Chicken Fettuccine. It was the absolute hands down, in his opinion, the best damn Fettuccine he has ever had. The noodles were cooked to perfection the sauce was heaven. His only slight negative was that the chicken was a little dry. Having said that he practically licked the plate clean. First time dining here.. My son and I came to celebrate the end of his school year.. First off, we didn't have a reservation on a Tuesday evening and this place was packed! We went on a stand by list and waited for about an hour. Killed some time enjoying a cocktail at the very old skool bar which was a cool experience! This place is very nostalgic with all the pics of celebs from yesteryear posted on the walls.. My birthday group of 3 seniors went to lunch at 11am at the Smoke House on Sunday. I made a reservation with a message to the restaurant that we had 3 birthdays. When we were seated, the server informed us that only brunch was being served on Sunday until 2pm. The brunch cost $52 per person for all-you-can-eat & drink. The drinks included mimosa, coffee, juices, & soda. The food was a variety of pasta, salads, Eggs Benedict, waffles, crepes, crab legs, salmon, shrimp, ham, tri tip, turkey (no cranberries or gravy), & various desserts like carrot cake, cheesecake, fruit tarts, etc. The taste was OK. It was never advertised that you could not order items from the menu! We felt trapped in ordering their brunch because we did not want to take the time to go find another restaurant. We did not want to eat that much food, & we did not want to spend that much money of $52 per person + tax + tip. Also, no one sang "Happy Birthday" to our group. We preferred the normal dining experience of ordering from the menu. They should advertise that their menu items are available only after 2 pm every Sunday. Smoke House Restaurant is located at 4420 Lakeside Drive Burbank, California 91505. Simply said this is an outstanding restaurant with incredible food, service, and entertainment. I have written reviews in the past, but with a new phone comes a new outlook and a new experience. I was dropped off across the street and approached the front entrance that was well lit and easy to maneuver. There was a valet service that took care of arriving parties. The valet was courteous and helpful. At the entrance the door was opened for me and I walked up the ramp toward the lobby / waiting area. I approached the entrance to the bar / lounge. It was well lit and very busy. This was on a typical Friday before the entertainment started at 9:00 p.m. I looked for my friend as I walked along the bar area. We wanted to eat at the bar so we stood off to the side as we waited for a seat. We let the bartender know that we were going to eat as well as drink. FYI there is a food/drink minimum in the bar/lounge area when there is entertainment. It is easy to satisfy. Once we were seated we ordered food: appetizers, onion rings and calamari. Both were excellent as well as the dipping sauce. The Chipotle aioli and marinara added to the flavor. The calamari had a light coating and was perfectly cooked. The onion rings had a great crunch with fresh cut onion flavor. The Smoke House cheeseburger with everything on it arrived next. The fresh smoked aroma was present immediately. It was beautifully prepared. Fresh lettuce, fresh ripe tomato slice, pickle spear sat neatly alongside the charbroiled filet hamburger covered with American cheese. It was fun putting all the pieces together. Definitely a mouthful! Perfectly cooked medium rare on top of the fresh brioche bun. Each bite was a great tasting experience. While eating, we were also serenaded by the great sounds of the Rick Whitfield band. I've seen them before and they do not disappoint. Great selection of styles and genres. They had a dinner set that featured many memorable songs. After a short break they came back with a dance set with a variety of danceable music, both fast and slow. Many of the diners took to the dance floor. Rick dedicated the number of songs to special events that were happening as well as birthdays. He is a master host as well as a musician. I arrived with a reservation and checked in, but the hosts upfront were incredibly ditzy. They somehow recorded my name completely wrong in their system. Despite having an active reservation, I ended up waiting 20 minutes past my time while they kept mispronouncing my first name and eventually just started calling me by my last name. When they finally figured it out and seated us, there wasn't even a standard "sorry about that" or any acknowledgment of the mix-up. On the bright side, the kitchen knows what it's doing. This place was right across from Warner Bros Studios and it's famous for a hot spot for celebrities. George Clooney would frequent it I was told. The reason I wanted to add this to my list was because of the Sunday Brunch Buffet. It's $52.99 per person and 18% gratuity is included but for the selection of what they had SO worth it! They had crab legs, oysters, mussels, tri-tip, various salads and unlimited mimosas and sparkling wine. Beverages also included are orange juice, soft drinks, coffee. I liked their wide variety of dessert selection. If you bring kids here they even have the chocolate fountain fondue. The Crème Brûlée was pretty good. The price is still reasonable for what you get for 2026. Their parking lot seems to be valet only but I arrived a bit earlier before my reservation and found free street parking nearby. Would I be back when I'm in the area? Yeah! For the variety you get, the quality isn't the absolute highest but it's still pretty good for the buffet. This place beats a lot of others buffet places I've been to in Northern California like Scott's Seafood. Oh and yeah their cheesy garlic bread like other reviews was good. Definitely a must try. For dinner 5 ribeyes, beef stroganoff, blackened salmon, shrimp scampi and one kids plate, food was amazing ! My friend and I both ordered the Smoke House Trio Salad. Her steak was cooked beautifully, while mine was overcooked and a bit tough. Still a good salad that would've have been better had the steak been cooked properly. It really should not have left the kitchen that way because it was obvious by the look of it. We also ordered the world famous garlic cheese bread, and it definitely deserves the reputation. Delicious! The service was adequate, but our server looked bored and was not super welcoming. My goodness. I've never reviewed the Smoke House? The Smoke House is one of a few restaurants that I keep on returning to for special occasions for the last - cough- four decades! Yep, I started coming when I was one years old, lol. When planning a very special occasion with out-of-town guests, last week I brought them to the iconic Smoke House. I really hyped up the place. One of my guests read up on the restaurant - declared this is where they filmed LALA Land, and other movies and tv shows. Everyone had high expectations, exceedingly high expectations that were met. Again, I was the hero in planning the perfect evening that everyone throughly enjoyed, from the ambiance, service, drink and food. It was amazing. It has that retro, old school, dark sexy vibe. Especially in the bar. Whenever I go, I ask for the bar ... On some nights they have live music. Love their large leather red booths. I wish I remembered the name of our server that night. He was excellent, patiently, expertly managing our large happy noisy table. I remarked to my boyfriend how fantastic he was. While half of my guests were not regular drinkers, everyone got a cocktail that night, because they saw, and tasted the ones my boyfriend and I got first - a peach martini. Generally my boyfriend does not like sweet martinis but he remembered how much he liked it last time and got it again. I love the way they serve the martinis - they have a name for their special martinis that I can't recall, but the martini comes in a standard martini glass, and a little carafe of extra martini kept cold in a bowl of ice. Love the way they do that! A friend more seasoned drinker of cocktails ordered a regular dirty martini and remarked, "Now, THAT is the way to make a martini!" Of course we got their signature garlic cheese bread to start. Everyone loved it, so we ordered a few more. For dinner, many of us got their signature dish, the Prime Rib. I also got a Cesar Salad because I consider theirs one of the best. Someone at the other end of the table got the Cajun Chicken Fettuccini and was so excited about it, passed it around the entire table to try. The Chicken Piccata was also a big hit. I think the favorite, next to the prime rib was the ribs. Oh they looked so good. I think next time I'll make my boyfriend get the ribs, so I can have some of his as well as my prime rib. I believe the only way I could have topped the experience of having dinner at the Smoke House, was having SUNDAY BRUNCH at the Smoke House. This was something I did lovingly for many years. Came for DineLA! $8 Valet in the attached lot, but you can also park on the street. Read the signs in the neighborhood; some places are permit parking only Monday-Friday until 8p. We see this place all the time driving by on Olive near the WB studios. It's an institution so we tried it out for DineLA! Inside is pretty fancy booths and has an old Hollywood vibe going which is fun. It was pretty busy on a Friday night so they expanded to another area that was a little more drafty. Food was good and we got full pretty quick even for the "smaller" DineLA set menu portion. We got the beef with egg noodles and the surf and turf entrees as well as soup and salad, the half order of garlic cheese bread and cheesecake and chocolate mousse for dessert. We got a complimentary "postcard" sized photo (with advertisements for the restaurant) and were offered a $20 framed 4x6 photo as well. Good experience to try! read more

Really enjoyed eating at Smoke House! The food was so good, and the service was friendly. Who knew adding sherry wine to the clam chowder would make it even more flavorful? So good! The famous garlic bread definitely lived up to the hype--warm, cheesy, and absolutely delicious. We'll definitely be back! read more

Food- Food was good, the garlic bread was the best. Ambiance- Restaurant is in a beautiful spot. If you're a movie buff, you might recognize it as the restaurant from LALA Land. It was very very loud in there. Service- server was great. The photographer that comes by to sell you pictures could've had more tact. They printed out 3 photos and sold us 1. We went to The Smoke House for Sunday brunch on August 23, and we had such a wonderful experience! The food was absolutely delicious, the service was phenomenal, and one of the things that really stood out to me was how well the staff worked together. You could see the teamwork between the servers and support staff throughout the restaurant. Everyone we interacted with was polite, friendly, attentive, and professional, even though the restaurant was incredibly busy. I also wanted to give special recognition to a manager/supervisor working during brunch. I unfortunately didn't catch his name, but he was wearing a flat/newsboy-style cap, so hopefully the restaurant knows who I'm referring to. We happened to witness him dealing with a particularly demanding guest who was extremely unhappy with where his party for three had been seated. The guest repeatedly complained about having made a reservation and wanting to sit in a different, quieter section, and became increasingly loud and upset with the manager. What impressed us was how incredibly calm, patient, and professional the manager remained throughout the entire interaction. He never became defensive or matched the guest's tone. He simply continued trying to resolve the situation and de-escalate it while keeping things comfortable for everyone around them. The restaurant was PACKED for Sunday brunch, including a full waiting area, and many of us had reservations.. our party included. There are only so many tables and sections available in a busy restaurant, and a reservation can't always guarantee one particular table or area. I thought this manager handled a very difficult situation exceptionally well and deserved recognition for it. I know how difficult it can be to maintain that level of composure when someone is directing their frustration at you. He handled himself beautifully. Wonderful food, wonderful service, great teamwork, and a staff that clearly knows how to take care of its guests. We had a fantastic brunch and will absolutely be back! read more
